What to do in case of burns of various forms and degrees. What to do in case of a burn? Calling an ambulance

Most often, people with this disease have skin pain like a burn.

This happens when touching the skin causes real physical pain and this can be the skin on the back, leg and arm. At first I thought that only cold objects could cause pain, but when the skin on my back began to hurt, it also hurt from touching clothes.

But doctors at the local clinic do not pay attention to such a symptom, or they do, but do not say it out loud.

There was information on the Internet that this condition is called allodynia. This is skin pain from touching. And they describe several reasons.

The skin can hurt from neuropathy when the nerves are affected, this also includes diabetes and vitamin deficiencies. The skin may hurt due to chronic body fatigue and migraines. So this is not the main disease, but you can call it side effect, but if the skin hurts very badly and for a long time, then you need to go to the doctor. Although I was sick for several days and it went away on its own.

As for the pain from touching cold surfaces, it seems to me that this is how cold allergies manifest themselves. I honestly don’t know, because I’m afraid to tell the doctor about such symptoms, our neurologist is a peculiar lady. There is only one answer to all questions, I have the highest qualifications, and yet she sits there with her nails dirty from the soil. We have only one neurologist, she may not be a bad doctor, but as a person she is very rude and indifferent. Where do such evil people come from in hospitals?

Urgently see an orthopedist, rheumatologist and, possibly, a dermatologist, if the problem is in the skin and not in the bones and joints. For now, avoid hot baths, only shower.

You may need a good massage therapist. If you were in Kyiv or in the region, I would recommend an excellent chiropractor (chiropractor). He already has 35 years of experience, people come to him from all over Ukraine and even from abroad.

You probably know that on the back there are vertebrae (nerve endings) responsible for the work internal organs. If these vertebrae are compressed, then the organs do not work as they should. Hence the pain and discomfort. The chiropractor decompresses the nerves in the spine.

If a person’s skin on his back hurts when touched, he should consult a neurologist.

I'm sure it's the nerve endings acting up.

Perhaps your back has a cold and is very sensitive to touch.

This happens to me when a cold overcomes my “strong” body.

It is at first that you should not touch the skin, it becomes very sensitive, it hurts even when you touch clothes.

Oh, what an unpleasant feeling this is.

But later it goes away as the acute respiratory infection is cured.

I want to draw attention to two more factors: 1) Tanning. From a strong quick tan, your back burns and it is very painful to touch it - we apply ointment or sour cream, it becomes easier in 2-3 hours. 2) Allergy to clothes. This also happens. We get rid of clothes, take anti-allergens.

This could be a hematoma, burn, skin inflammation, or allergy. But the problem may be more serious. It is necessary to consult a doctor, as these may be symptoms of various diseases, including diabetes.

This usually happens when your back gets sunburned. Then the skin becomes irritated and any touch to it causes pain. In this case, it is necessary to refrain from sunbathing and generally walking in the sun. It is better to lubricate the burns with sour cream or kefir and cover with a towel. And stay home.

If there are no visible rashes, spots or redness (bruise, boil, dermatitis, shingles, burn, etc.), then most likely there is a problem with the nervous system - osteochondrosis, neuralgia. Contact a neurologist.

The skin on your hand hurts like a burn

My left forearm has been hurting for over a week now. It's the skin that hurts. There is no rash or redness. It hurts, like a burn, if you run your finger or when it comes into contact with clothing. What is this?

I went to a paid dermatologist, he said that he didn’t see anything, he said it might be dermatosis, he prescribed Skin Cap ointment for crazy money 🙁 He said to come back in a week, but you still can’t find a paid one..

Has anyone ever encountered something similar?

It's hard to say exactly what it is. Most likely, a visit to a neurologist will help you - such things can be caused by both damage to the peripheral nerves and problems in the spine.

I see, I just thought, since it’s skin, that means I’m a dermatologist. And when I go to the neurologist, they’ll laugh at me.

But I'll go, thanks

This happens to me when I take a lot of painkillers. Flu, fever, but you have to be on the go.

Eh, it doesn’t suit me, I don’t drink anything anymore

doesn't your neck hurt? This may be from the computer, or rather, from the wrong posture while working, or you have to use the mouse a lot. Most likely, you should see a neurologist or an orthopedist.

No, my neck doesn't hurt. Rather, yes, see a neurologist, as they advise here

Thank you, I’ll try to get to him :)

See a neurologist for you :)

Thank you, I made a mistake with the doctor, apparently)))

Good afternoon, I wanted to say: either our situations are similar, or we both need a neurologist.

I have a similar pain near my mouth, from the beginning I thought, well, maybe some kind of acne, but 3-4 weeks passed, nothing appeared, and the pain, or rather this burning sensation when touched, intensified.

Have you been able to figure out what it could be?

I’m a little scared myself, I’m tempting myself with cancers and tumors, but I haven’t found anything on the internet(

No, I never found out: you can’t just get to a neurologist :)

You know, I calmed down: the dermatologist didn’t find anything wrong - that’s the main thing. That this is not an infection or other rubbish that I can’t get sick with right now.

And neuralgia, it seems to me, is not so scary.

You go to the therapist first, he still gives coupons (at least in our case), explain. I thought going to the doctor with someone like that would make me laugh. And since this happens often, it means they will take it into account

You have typical neuralgia of one of the nerves - the ulnar, radial, median, or rather their cutaneous, superficial branches. It occurs more often against the background of so-called ganglionitis of the cervical sympathetic nodes (colds, hypothermia, prolonged uncomfortable positions causing congestion, etc.). Do the following:

1. Place mustard plasters on the back of the neck several times (starting from the hairline to the “bump” - in the evenings.

2. Take Lyrica (pregabalin) approximately 75 mg per day for 10 days.

3. Also take any antiviral drug from the interferon group for 10 days (choose the most inexpensive one!).

4. In the morning, rub the back of your neck and sore arm with Fastum-gel cream.

5. To prevent possible exacerbations, you should take vitamins with a high content of vit. group B.

Good luck and don't worry!

Thanks a lot!! Hypothermia and uncomfortable positions are about me.

Why does your skin hurt when you touch it?

We are all confident that we understand perfectly well what a person who is in pain feels, because, as a rule, in a similar situation we feel the same painful sensations. However, most likely, not every one of us can imagine how a person whose skin hurts when touched feels, because this pain syndrome is quite rare. And yet this pathology exists. In this article we will tell you about why the skin hurts when you touch it.

Why does the skin hurt when you touch it: reasons

So, this pathology in medicine has its own precise definition, namely allodynia, and the essence of this disease is the pain of the skin in the absence of any external irritants, for example, a burn or bruise. In the course of certain scientific studies, experts concluded that this disease can be conditionally divided into several subtypes, where each individual group is manifested by certain painful sensations. Next we will talk about these subspecies in more detail:

Static, mechanical allodynia. With this type of disease, painful sensations occur when the skin is firmly touched or when there is slight pressure on them.

Warm allodynia. In this situation, a person experiences painful sensations when there are temperature changes;

Dynamic, mechanical allodynia. With this type of disease, painful sensations occur when trying to cleanse the skin. For example, pain can occur even when wiping the skin with a cotton pad or when washing;

Tactile allodynia. With tactile allodynia, painful sensations occur when palpating and simply touching the skin.

As we have already said, most of us cannot imagine what a person experiences when their skin hurts when touched, which makes everyone curious about how intense the pain is with allodynia. As for the intensity of pain, in this situation it is difficult to say anything definitely, because this factor depends primarily on the sensitivity of the skin itself. So, for example, someone is bothered by tingling, burning and itching; Sometimes patients admit that they often have the feeling that something is moving along the skin itself.

Perhaps most of us have often felt something similar, which immediately raises the thought of the possible presence of this disease in ourselves. In order to understand whether you have signs of allodynia, you can conduct one simple experiment. Take small piece cotton wool and allow it to fall freely onto the exposed skin. If you feel any discomfort, then in this situation this is a sign of the presence of a disease such as allodynia.

Another way to check whether this ailment applies to you is as follows: touch an open area of skin with an ice cube; if painful sensations occur, then again, these are all signs of the presence of allodynia.

As for the nature of the occurrence of this disease, allodynia develops as a result of the presence of a variety of factors. Below we will give you a list of reasons due to which allodynia develops:

Previously suffered first or second degree burns. By the way, prolonged exposure to the sun also often leads to the fact that in the future the sensitivity of the skin increases and a person experiences painful sensations when touched;

Early exposure to chickenpox can also cause the development of allodynia. Many will probably ask what the connection is here, however, in fact, everything is quite logical. If chickenpox occurred in a complex form, then often in such situations it became the cause of an illness such as shingles, which in turn leads to the development of rashes and blisters on certain areas of the skin. It is thanks to these factors that in the future these areas of the skin lose their sensitivity, which ultimately leads to the fact that a person experiences pain when touched;

Migraine is another reason that causes a disease such as allodynia; and if it was migraine that caused this illness, then the person, as a rule, experiences quite intense painful sensations even when simply combing his hair. Also, quite often in this situation, it is not possible for “victims” of allodynia and migraine to use any jewelry, because their “contact” with the skin brings quite intense pain;

Various diseases of the nervous system can also cause pain when touching the skin. And this is due to the fact that in such diseases, as a rule, the myelin sheath is damaged, which in turn covers all our nerve cells. Fibromyalgia is another disease of the nervous system that causes pain when touching the skin;

Various diseases of the spine, which lead to damage to the spinal cord and dysfunction of nerve endings, also cause increased skin sensitivity;

Skin hurts when touched: treatment

As you already understand, allodynia can develop against a background of very dangerous diseases, which is why if the symptoms described above occur, it is imperative to consult with a specialist who, after examining and passing all necessary tests will establish a diagnosis and prescribe adequate treatment. As a rule, when treating allodynia, the patient is prescribed the following medications:

analgesic drugs to relieve pain;

antidepressant drugs that have a relaxing effect and also help relieve irritation;

sedatives that help fight insomnia and that relieve nervous tension and nervous excitability;

general anticonvulsants that relieve muscle tension.

In addition to taking the medications themselves, the specialist also prescribes courses of reflexotherapy and physiotherapy, and acupuncture. In some cases, sessions with a psychotherapist may be prescribed.

Feeling of a burn on the skin without external manifestations

Any person feels a burn on their skin without external manifestations If it doesn’t frighten you, it will confuse you. Moreover, various formations or discomfort on the epidermis always signal serious disorders in the body. In some cases they are accompanied by peeling or redness, but it also happens that external signs are absent, but the feeling of a burn is there.

The only right decision in such a situation would be to go to the nearest hospital and consult a dermatologist. Otherwise, there is a risk of missing the initial stage of development of internal disease.

General

According to medical concepts, a person will feel a feeling of burns when touched in situations where the upper layers of the epidermis are irritated by external or internal factors for a long time. This condition is caused by the reaction of receptors, and its nature is classified as paroxysmal.

Feeling of a burn on your legs

Patients often note the fact that the feeling of a burn without visible manifestations intensifies in the evening, and during the day the symptoms weaken. Against this background, general health may worsen, because the body does not have the opportunity to fully rest and recover. Accordingly, the ability to work is lost, irritability and overwork appear. The first stage of depression begins.

Often, a feeling of itching may be felt when the patient touches the affected skin with his hands. But what forces him to go for a consultation with a doctor is only the appearance of visible spots or rashes, the occurrence of which, as it seems at first glance, is causeless.

Causes

The feeling of a burn when touched can be localized in various parts of the body. By telling the therapist about such a symptom, the doctor will most likely refer the patient for additional consultation with a dermatologist and other specialized specialists, which will allow a final diagnosis to be made and therapeutic measures to begin.

But still there are a number of external and internal factors, causing a feeling of burn without external damage to the skin. Let's look at them in more detail.

External

As you can understand, when exposed to such a factor, the cause of the burn sensation is easiest to establish. This is because a person has the opportunity to track the reaction of the epidermis when this or that object touches the skin.

Let's say that if a person is bitten by any insect, then the feeling of a burn will appear almost immediately, especially if it was a bee, wasp or mosquito. The victim will receive the greatest irritation in the first minutes or even seconds after the incident, and his condition may worsen if he has a history of allergies to insect bites.

Speaking about the thermal factor, it is unlikely that its impact will go unnoticed, because such a burn is often accompanied by redness of the skin and the appearance of blisters. However, if the irritant touches the skin for only a few seconds, then the person may not notice it, there will be no hyperemia, and the feeling of the burn will remain, but will pass after a few hours.

Domestic

The greatest difficulty in diagnosing the cause of a burning sensation without visible signs is in situations where the patient has internal pathologies. Let us consider in more detail the most likely reasons for the development of this condition.

Injuries and diseases of blood vessels. If there is such a pathology, then the main symptom in the form of a feeling of a burn will be accompanied by swelling of the lower extremities. The legs themselves will be cold, but the injured area will have an increased temperature, which is easily felt when touched. It is important to go to see a doctor as soon as possible, because this condition is dangerous for health by developing serious complications.

Liver diseases. Human skin acts as a natural filter to prevent toxic and aggressive substances from entering the body. It also helps remove waste products from the body. If there is a feeling of a burn in any part of the body, then it is possible that the patient has problems with the liver, because it is responsible for cleansing.

In this situation, it is necessary to pay attention to the presence of changes that are completely unrelated to the skin. Among them, doctors note a change in the color of the urine, it becomes very dark, and the feces become light shade. Actually, the feeling of a burn when liver function is disrupted appears against the background of the fact that it is released into the blood a large number of bile salts, which irritate the upper layers of the epidermis.

Skin diseases. Of course, with the development of diseases of the epidermis, in most cases there are visible disturbances, for example, redness, peeling, the appearance of wounds or ulcers, and itching. However, at the initial stages of development, these signs may be absent.

Thyroid dysfunction. A feeling of a burn is often a sign that the body has a malfunction of the thyroid gland. With such disorders, the skin becomes very hot, hot and moist to the touch. The patient's condition is unsatisfactory, he feels general weakness and may fall into a depressive state. This can also include hormonal imbalance, which can also cause a burning sensation.

The presented symptom is far from harmless, and should not be underestimated. Doctors also note the fact that the sensation of a burn without visible signs on the skin can be a signal of the development of oncological pathology in the initial stage, diseases of internal organs, joints, gout, diabetes mellitus, malfunction of the liver, kidneys and gall bladder.

This is why it is important to seek help as soon as a burning sensation begins to be felt. Doctors will conduct a thorough differential diagnosis, identify the disease and develop the correct treatment regimen.

Treatment

Before starting treatment, it is imperative to establish the true cause of the feeling of a burn without visible manifestations. In most cases, these are, of course, external factors. Therefore, the initial actions of doctors will be aimed at stopping the true pathological process, which will help the patient get rid of unpleasant external symptoms and discomfort.

Diagnosis by a dermatologist

It is possible that in case of a serious illness, drug or conservative therapy may not help, and then the patient will require surgical intervention. But at the same time, the sooner surgery is performed, the higher the chance of a favorable outcome and complete recovery of the patient.

So, if there is a feeling of a burn, then the algorithm of actions will be approximately as follows:

  1. Identifying the cause. There is no way to do without this. Accordingly, a person needs to go to the clinic, undergo a visual examination, submit the necessary biological materials for research, and, if necessary, undergo instrumental diagnostics. You should definitely tell your doctor about all discomfort, even minor ones. This will help him correctly formulate a clinical picture.
  2. Impact. The principle of therapy always depends on the root cause, therefore, what exactly is needed in specific case, it is impossible to say for sure. For minor disorders, drug therapy is sufficient, but more serious pathologies are treated surgically.
  3. Physiotherapy. Be sure to be part of the complex treatment of internal causes that lead to the feeling of a burn. This effect will help cope with certain diseases, and also increase the level of the body’s protective function.

It is important to understand that self-diagnosis and treatment can significantly worsen the condition, so it is imperative to consult a doctor even with such a seemingly insignificant symptom.

The skin hurts when touched, but there are no visible lesions

The skin often hurts when touched - what is it? Why, for no apparent reason, without injury or damage, does a light touch of the skin lead to unbearable burning pain? Moreover, it is felt not in one area: on the back, stomach, leg, but throughout the whole body. This greatly worsens a person's quality of life.

1 Causes of the disease

Why does my skin hurt? The reasons may be the following:

  1. Effect of radiation or chemical influences.
  2. Allergy to clothing fabric and bed linen.
  3. Herpes virus.
  4. Chicken pox.
  5. Migraine.
  6. AIDS.
  7. Disorders in the nervous system.

The last reason may be associated with such ailments as:

  1. Polyneuropathy.
  2. Fibromyalgia.
  3. Demyelinating diseases.
  4. Pathological processes in the brain.
  5. Organic changes in the spinal cord.

The disease can be caused by radiation or chemical influences: ultraviolet burns as a result of prolonged exposure to the sun, under a lamp in a solarium. You can get a first or second degree burn, which causes pain.

Why does my skin hurt when it touches something? You may be allergic to the fabric of clothing and bedding. Rarely seen. Possible due to increased sensitivity to the material from which clothing and bedding are made. Moreover, natural materials can also cause an allergic reaction: linen, cotton, wool. Allergic reactions to bedding appear where the body comes into contact with them during sleep.

2 Herpes virus

It appears as shingles. At the site of the future rash, corresponding to the location of the fibers of the infected nerve, burning pain suddenly begins. They exhaust the patient from 4 to 12 days. Often the pain intensifies and becomes unbearable with the slightest movement, touch or cooling. This condition is called shingles in the medical literature.

  1. Chicken pox. Rarely, this disease can occur without papules. Instead, a burning pain appears on the skin.
  2. Migraine. This is a neurovascular disease. When it occurs frequently, it provokes pain and changes in skin sensitivity.
  3. Disorders in the nervous system.
  4. Polyneuropathy. Pain when touching the skin reduces the quality of life and most often becomes the reason for visiting a doctor. These sensations do not appear as a result of irritation of receptors that respond to pain stimuli (nociceptors), but are a response from nerve endings that respond to tactile sensitivity (somatosensory receptors). Pain appears due to changes in nerve fibers and their endings that connect to the skin. Neuropathy is caused by physical and psychological trauma, changes in the endocrine system, deficiency and excess of vitamins.

3 Etiology of the disease

In medical practice, one of the most common causes of pain when touching the skin is called diabetes mellitus (diabetic neuropathy). Pain with polyneuropathy is usually constant, burning, cold or itchy. Sometimes it seems to stab, shoot or pierce. In this place, the skin changes sensitivity. At first, the pain is localized on the legs and arms. Then they spread to the back, stomach, gradually spreading throughout the body. This is because the longer nerves are affected first. The phenomenon when the skin experiences pain from the most gentle touch is called allodynia. It must be distinguished from hyperalgesia, pain hypersensitivity, when the slightest painful effects give rise to intense pain. Depending on the nature of the impact, it varies:

  • tactile allodynia - to touch;
  • static mechanical - pain appears as a result of touching a piece of cotton wool, light pressure;
  • dynamic mechanical - reaction to light kneading, line irritation. For example, when washing, thermal pain occurs - pain caused by temperature changes.

Due to hyperalgesia and allodynia, a person cannot tolerate the touch of a woolen blanket, and sometimes even ordinary bedding. Sleep is disturbed: the torment intensifies at night. Debilitating pain provokes depression, which again increases pain.

Fibromyalgia or fibromyositis is a condition of the body in conditions of constant muscle pain in certain areas of the body, the so-called pain points. There are 11 of them. They are located symmetrically on both sides of the body in the neck, back of the head, shoulder girdle, elbows, buttocks and knees. Pain in these areas is due to inflammatory processes. The disease is accompanied by fatigue, sleep disturbances, and depression. The person is psychologically depressed and depressed. In the mornings and evenings, 70% of patients have limited movements. As a result of research, it was revealed that the cause of the disease is an increase in the sensitivity of neurons in the brain and spinal cord. As a result, a person experiences a feeling of pain in the absence of foci of excitation, that is, for no apparent reason. Exertion, hypothermia, and immobility aggravate the condition.

Demyelinating diseases are a group of diseases of the nervous system when the myelin sheath of nerve fibers is damaged, causing the appearance of various disorders, including impaired skin sensitivity and pain.

Pathological processes in the brain are sometimes accompanied by pain. In the middle part of the brain, all impulses from the external and internal environment are recorded and analyzed. Damage to this area leads to a defensive tactile reaction, which consists of exaggerated painful sensitivity to light touch. This is caused by a stroke or severe traumatic brain injury. Sometimes pain to touch occurs because the part of the brain that regulates the assessment of the effects of different stimuli is damaged. As a result, a sick person may react in unexpected ways to simply touching the skin.

Spinal cord diseases are a group of pathologies that differ in symptoms. They cause disorders, including increased skin sensitivity. The appearance of pain in the skin depends on which part of the spinal cord the pathology is present in. When the spinal cord is compressed, pain appears in the middle of the back. If the nerves of the cervical spine are pinched, pain appears in the arms. With pathology of the lumbar region, pain in the lower extremities. If the coccygeal part of the spinal cord is damaged, severe pain in the legs, in the perineum, and in the coccygeal region. Damage to the sacral region is accompanied by pain in the skin of this part of the body and lower abdomen.

4 Is it necessary to accustom the body to pain?

The sensation when the skin hurts plays a protective role in the body. Pain indicates that there is a problem in some system. This signal must be responded to in a timely and correct manner.

Does your skin start to hurt after visiting a solarium and using cosmetics? Visits should be avoided. “Accustoming” the body to pain is dangerous. In the future, the sensitivity of the nerve endings may be impaired, and allodynia will have to be treated.

Pain on the scalp is not a common occurrence. They can have different intensities: from weak to pronounced. They may have different localizations. The entire surface of the skull, forehead, crown and area behind the ear may be affected. Massage can help with scalp pain if the cause is stress, a tight hat or hairstyle. Itchy skin can be an allergic reaction in response to the use of hair care products. To get rid of pain caused by these reasons, you just need to eliminate them. If the pain does not stop, you should consult a doctor and report the occurrence of a similar condition.

With fibromyalgia, the patient gets some relief from moderate physical activity, massage, short rest or a warm bath.

You can contact a dermatologist and he will solve the problem if it falls within his competence. Often pain when touching the skin is of neurological origin, so you need to go to a neurologist. Most likely, neuralgia of the cutaneous branches of a nerve will be detected. It occurs as a result of inflammation of the sympathetic nodes located in the spinal canal. Neuralgia can be caused by a cold with minor hypothermia or prolonged uncomfortable posture. It is possible that pain may be a harbinger of a more serious disease - intercostal neuralgia or pinched nerve. In order to start treatment on time and have peace of mind about your health, you should not delay your visit to the doctor.

Often pain is accompanied by high body temperature. There may be 2 options:

  1. If the temperature first rises and then pain appears, then the temperature and pain are caused by an infection. Toxins are released through the sweat glands. Sweat can initiate an inflammatory process in the ducts. In the receptors that are located in the deep layers of the skin, sensitivity increases during the inflammatory process, and it becomes painful to touch the skin. This phenomenon usually occurs with a staphylococcal infection.
  2. In purulent-inflammatory processes (furuncle, erysipelas), pain first appears, localized in one place. The temperature rises a little later. Symptoms of inflammation, redness and other changes in the skin surface appear even later.

In both cases, treatment is carried out with local agents.

In case of pain caused by diabetes mellitus or other endocrine disorders, it is necessary to monitor the level of glucose in the blood and special blood parameters.

While the causes of allodynia are being established, therapeutic measures are needed aimed at relieving the pain symptom. To eliminate pain, the following may be prescribed:

  • local painkillers;
  • to relieve muscle tension and relax the smooth muscles of blood vessels, medications that relieve cramps are used, and a course of treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is carried out;
  • to relax, relieve nervousness and irritability, antidepressants are administered;
  • in order to normalize sleep, since insomnia increases allodynia, increasing the excitability of the nervous system, sedatives are prescribed.

In some cases, the pain when touching the skin is so unbearable that narcotic substances are administered to relieve it. However, it may return after 3 injections. Even if the pain is just as strong, you should refuse to administer drugs to avoid addiction.

5 Treatments

The use of physiotherapy, reflexology, acupuncture, and sessions with a psychotherapist are used to alleviate the condition.

A new healing method is widely used - subcutaneous implantation of devices that correct the flow of nerve signals. Since this group of diseases has not been sufficiently studied, doctors often have to act at their own peril and risk. Some treatment methods may not only fail to improve, but over time may worsen the patient's condition.

If painful skin sensitivity is caused by organic or functional disorders of the brain, then it cannot be eliminated, since it can lead to inadequate responses to ordinary irritations and circumstances. Irreversible mental changes occur.

The feeling of pain is one of the body's important reactions to danger. Pain is just the tip of the iceberg. Pain signals that something is wrong with one of the organs. The causes of skin pain when touched can be extremely serious, so at the first symptoms you should consult a doctor.

And a little about secrets.

The story of one of our readers, Irina Volodina:

I was especially saddened by my eyes, surrounded by large wrinkles plus dark circles and swelling. How to completely remove wrinkles and bags under the eyes? How to deal with swelling and redness? But nothing ages or rejuvenates a person more than his eyes.

But how to rejuvenate them? Plastic surgery? I found out - no less than 5 thousand dollars. Hardware procedures - photorejuvenation, gas-liquid peeling, radio lifting, laser facelift? A little more affordable - the course costs 1.5-2 thousand dollars. And when will you find time for all this? And it's still expensive. Especially now. Therefore, I chose a different method for myself.

Natalia asks:

Hello, please tell me what I have: the first day my throat just hurt and there was redness, on the second day my throat became loose and it felt like the skin had peeled off all the mucous membranes, like a burn, you can even see pieces of peeling skin in some places in the throat (sorry, I don’t know how to put it correctly). On the third day, the right side of the mouth (gums and palate) also became loose and painful

Answers Imshenetskaya Maria Leonidovna:

Good afternoon. You need an examination by an ENT specialist or a dentist; perhaps you have stomatitis, pharyngitis, an allergic manifestation, a symptom of an infectious disease, or much more. Good luck to you

Natalya asks:

Hello. Please help me figure it out.
I am 32 years old.
Since February of this year I have been constantly sick. Cough, runny nose, sneezing, weakness. The temperature increased several times from February to May to 37.8.
The therapist constantly diagnoses ARVI. And once I was diagnosed with laryngo-tracheitis (late March). I am undergoing treatment, for a day or two I walk in more or less normal condition and in a new circle. From February to May I got sick like this about 5 times.
In February I had a fluorography done - everything was fine, I underwent medical examination. (blood and urine tests are normal).
Since February and still have constant coughing.

In April, conjunctevitis (the ophthalmologist said it was allergic) and herpes on the lip joined the listed symptoms.

In addition to all of the above, I have been under constant stress for almost a year now (various serious family problems).
During the May holidays, I began to feel very bad again. all symptoms have worsened, plus severe nasal congestion (Allergic rhinitis - ENT doctor’s diagnosis)
I turned to a doctor I know. She heard wheezing and treated me for bronchopneumonia (the blood test before showed elevated leukocytes, I don’t know the rest of the indicators). After 5 droppers, a day later my skin began to hurt very badly from the back of my head to my lower back. There is no damage to the skin, no rashes either. It hurts when touched. Like a sunburn. I went to see an infectious disease specialist and he told me to take a series of tests.
I passed, but there is no opportunity to contact those doctors to show the results, they are on vacation.
Here are the results, I will list those that are high
AlAT 273 units/l
ASAT 184 units/l
anti - HSV (types 1 and 2) IgG 19.3 ind. pos
anti EBV IgG - EBNA (poisonous white) 122 units/ml
anti EBV IgG - VCA (caps. white) 416 units/ml

leukocytes 16.48 thousand/µl
neutrophils segmented. 74%
neutrophils (total number) 80%
lymphocytes 11%
neutrophils, abs 13.18 thousand/µl
monocytes, abs 1.32 thousand/µl

Thank you very much in advance. I hope that I have presented everything clearly. Really looking forward to the answer.

Hello, Natalia.
Your concern, unfortunately, is very justified.
Signs of a bacterial inflammatory process, prolonged fever of unknown origin, secondary immunodeficiency, it is also necessary to exclude VH and activation of herpes infection. A consultation with a competent infectious disease specialist and, possibly, inpatient treatment is urgently indicated - please contact us.

Rustem asks:

Hello. Burned vitiligo spots on my back. They pinch hard. They tear like napkins when you touch them a little harder. I applied potato juice. Tell me what to do. And can these burns against the background of vitiligo lead, God forbid, to skin cancer? I have been sick for more than 10 years. Approximately 30% of skin is blotchy. The disease has progressed greatly over the past 3 years due to severe stress. What can be done for these burns?

Answers Gudarenko Vera Yurievna:

Hello, Rustem! It is advisable to show the affected skin to a dermatologist. But if this is not possible, I recommend applying baneocin powder and Solcoseryl jelly to the affected areas of the skin until healing. If you do not regularly expose the affected areas of the skin to solar radiation or toxic chemicals, everything will heal and you will never have skin cancer. It is advisable to periodically contact a dermato-oncologist for a preventive examination (1-2 times a year).

Ulyana asks:

Hello! Please tell me what to do! The other day I got very badly sunburned under the tropical sun in Thailand. When I came into the room, I discovered a large wrinkle on the lower eyelid near my right eye (it can be seen when the eye turns), it hurt for one day, but there is no such thing on my left eye. So far I only have “Rescuer” balm with me, I apply it for two days, but the wrinkle does not go away. Looks like an old lady's. Will the skin recover? Does the skin around the eyes generally recover after sunburn (I suspect this is it)? I’m 27 years old, it’s very sad to see this, I don’t want to walk like an old woman. The skin there is a little tough. I understand that it’s my own fault, but what should I do now? And on the right side of the face - on the temple - a lump-swelling appeared, it does not hurt, but the ear under it hurts. The bump has clear boundaries, stands out under the skin, was slightly different in color, but today it is smaller. At first, there was just a strong vein in my temple, I didn’t pay attention, I thought it was because of the heat, but there was a trace. the day the swelling popped up. I drank Cetirizine because it was the only one I had with me. What could it be? Should I continue taking the pills? Despite all this, there is no temperature or fever, the condition is as usual. Thank you very much in advance!

Answers Gudarenko Vera Yurievna:

Hello Ulyana! According to you, you have a sunburn on your face and a formation on your temple, which does not hurt, but your ear hurts. To treat a sunburn, first of all you need to take shelter from the sun; you can apply cooling lotions from a cold decoction of chamomile or tea to your face. Panthenol spray relieves inflammation very well. After a sunburn, the skin recovers completely if you do not sunbathe again and take proper care of your skin (regular cleansing and moisturizing, UV protection). It is difficult to judge your temple formation without a photograph. You can send a photo by registering on the website http://telederm.com.ua/, where you will receive detailed advice.

Andrey asks:

Hello, Doctor.

I ask you to read my questions to the end, since there is unlikely to be a definite answer to them, but the problem remains. At the same time, you need to decide how to behave with others in everyday life and in antima.
The problem has been around for about 15 months, no answer has been found. Therefore, I try to analyze against the background of the totality of information.
I give the dates out of risk.
So: beginning of September 2012. not protected by P.A. with a work colleague. After 2 weeks, tests for all STIs - PCR, as well as HIV, syphilis (I didn’t know about the timing of seroconversion) - everything was negative, except for gardnerella. Therefore, there could be no talk of phobias. Gardnerela was treated with Secnidox + Dazolic for 10 days + antifungals. About a month later, from the risk, I began to notice fever-like conditions and a sore throat. Attributed to stress. Severe urethritis began. They referred me to a urologist.
After 2.5 months. Urologist – second course of antibiotics – Unidox Solutab for 10 days and prostate treatment drugs. The prostate released. Hoping to get rid of the cause.
Repeated STIs are all negative.
At 3 months: T sharply increased to 37.5, the right submandibular, anterior cervical, and posterior cervical L/U became inflamed. Pain in the kidneys, spleen, liver. Pain in the groin, under. with mice. Severe itching appeared on the hands and legs below the knees, it itched like mosquito bites - very badly. Small bright red dots appeared, like burst blood vessels. Then some of the colors of the moles began to appear and did not go away.
Small balls appeared on the body, which were found due to mild pain. Mild swelling of the face. After serving time, my arms and legs began to go numb, tingling and itching. It lasted acutely for 3-4 weeks.
Constant sore throat, white coating on the tongue and side of the cheeks. Some kind of rash on the inside. Side of the cheeks. Burning vortu. On the tongue there are marks from teeth on the sides - sharp pits. Tank cultures for almost 11 months: nasopharynx twice: Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pnemo 10 in 5 both. The blood is sterile, intestinal dysbiosis. I'M CONSTANTLY SWEATING. THERE WAS A WEIGHT LOSS OF 92-80. Now 86 kg.
Burning skin type burn, very common. The lymph nodes were baked under. mice, shoulders, back.
After acute phase tests: for 3.5 months CMV PCR: one laboratory Scraping of the urethra latent carriage. Another, Sinevo - PCR scraping, saliva, blood are negative for CMV.
General blood test 3.5 months: slight increase in hemoglobin, erythrocytes and lymphocytes.
at 6.5 months EBV PCR blood is negative, ANTI F nuclear is 13 times the threshold, M capsid is negative. Rheumatic tests - negative, two courses of ENT treatment - without result.
Lungs are normal.
Now – 15 months. ELISA 13 months HIV negative, BLOT HIV 11 months. Negative. Trepomemal A\T negatively. Partner: 12 months HIV negative. I have Hepatitis B, C, F negative. Liver and spleen are enlarged. Pain in the joints of the knees (there was it at the very beginning, but antibodies to Chlamydia trachoma tick were negative A, M, F. I have never been sick.
Legs and arms go numb, especially at night, sweating. Pain in the liver, spleen. Eyes, feeling of sand. There were rednesses for a long time and now.
The most worrying thing is neuropathy. Numbness of the legs and more hands, itching of hands and feet. Pain in the liver and spleen, constant sore throat. T – in the afternoon up to 37.2. In the evening it drops to normal.
Infectious disease specialists (more than one) refer me to an ENT specialist and a therapist. Those to a neurologist. The course of treatment for tonsillitis did not produce results. HIV center - they definitely ruled out theirs. Sedatives have no effect.
Why am I writing... This is clearly not a phobia. During this time, I found the same people whose risks are similar, many have protected vaginal ones, an unprotected oral in the role of transmitter.
Some have contact with an HIV-infected person, some are protected with HIV negative based on the results of tests. It’s not in vain that people check themselves and their partners.
There are people with about 5 years of experience. Lose vision, problems with the musculoskeletal system.
The immunogram gives a drop in CD 4. There are a lot of them... THE SYMPTOMS ARE VERY SIMILAR,

QUESTIONS:
- Considering the specificity of neuropathy, what else can give it? THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION IS
- Which specialist can I contact again?
- since there was an acute stage, this is something that the body encountered for the first time, or activation of EBV and CMV can also give rise to an acute stage. Herpes 6,7,8 do not occur in Donetsk.
-since any herpes should go away against the background of normal immunity, some new type of virus is scary. Everyone I know, about 15 people, the problem was not solved until after 7 years of experience. On Internet resources they communicate in phobe threads. In this regard, theoretically suggesting a new type of HIV (sorry for the phobia) that it should have been detected in theory: PCR or immunoblot.
Although many did both blot and PCR of DNA, RNA - everything was negative.
I repeat, unfortunately, there are a lot of people with these symptoms through transmission routes. Doctors refer each other. Infectious disease specialists, stating the absence of anti-M and PCR for herpes, say – not ours.
- have there been such cases in your practice with the problem found?
Thanks for the answer. There is no one to go to after the past 17 months.

Answers Vasquez Estuardo Eduardovich:

Hello Andrei!
There is such a thing as the Internet, which not only makes it possible for us to communicate now, but also interferes with doctors and disorients patients. Patients begin to reflect and think “professionally”, respectively, at certain stages of medical prescriptions they either partially or do not fulfill medical recommendations as prescribed, adding their own or what they learned somewhere - and the process drags on (and 3 and 5 years).
We will mix up your thoughts in your letter, and doctors do not always have the opportunity and desire to conduct individual lessons - this is not our task, which is perhaps why I sometimes refer you to other specialists.
Just for example (from the context of your questions): “... since any herpes should go away against the background of normal immunity, some new type of virus is scary.” As a doctor, I don’t think so, but I don’t have the slightest desire to prove it to you or any other patient, but I am happy to discuss this with my colleagues.
Advice: Forget about all your “medical knowledge” and start with a regular local therapist, trusting him, strictly following his instructions. without double checking. Otherwise, the process will progress more and more: there is a violation of your immune status with the involvement of the lymphatic system, the cause of which could be any infection (from minor to serious). Search agent on this moment I wouldn’t, I don’t think it’s necessary from a practical point of view.

Svetlana asks:

Good afternoon
Please tell me! It all started with the fact that 1.5 years ago I was dyed together with my sister with lightening dye, which left both of them with large burns on their heads; at the very first wash after dyeing, a head of hair was washed off, both on me and on my sister, but we didn’t do anything thinking that everything will heal, after we dyed it 2 times, the loss itself continued until the moment when the scalp began to hurt very much and we lost 70% of our hair, that is, 200-300 hairs fell out per day, according to both estimates. Having contacted the skin specialist, they prescribed Aleran and Pantovigar tablets for 3 months, the results were zero. The scalp continued to hurt very much and my hair was falling out a lot, after which I consulted a trichologist. The doctor said that it was seboria and it could be cured at the age of 26. Having done the tests: Here are the results on day 5 of the menstrual cycle: Hormones
Testerone follicular phase 0.52
LG 5.35
FSH 4.79
Progesterone 0.61
Serum iron 30.3
OZhSS 56.1
Ferritin 73.1

ttg 1.20
Thyroglobulin 28.0
General blood analysis
hemoglobin 144
red blood cells 5.00
hematocrit 42.2
Average red blood cell volume 84
The average hemoglobin content in a red blood cell is 28.8
Average concentration of NV in erythrocytes 341
Platelets 477++
leukocytes 6.2
Segmented neutrophils %56
Eosinophils% 2
Basophils % 0
Monocytes % 6
Lymphocytes % 35
Color index 0.86
Myelocytes 0
Metamyelocytes 0
band neutrophils 1
Plasma cells 0
These are all the tests that the doctor told me to do, and advised me to use the System 4 system (2 months) - I use System 4 every day, it has reduced hair loss, now 150-200 hairs fall out per day, but the problem has not been resolved for both me and my sister, after the course, the doctor said that he didn’t know the reason for all this and pointed to nervous disorders, but my sister and I don’t have this. Please tell me what to do in this case??? I have already lost any faith in hair restoration. What remedies can help me?? Please help me(

Answers Kovalenko Yulia Alexandrovna:

Hello Svetlana! I am sure that you and your sister need the help of a competent dermatologist; one trichologist is not enough. And enough time has passed. The results of the tests should be dealt with by the one who prescribed them, which means he expects answers to his questions from them. There is an allergic component. With such a long-term condition, you can even show yourself to a professor. Find a smart doctor and be patient. External therapy is the main one for you, but not the only one.

Ilona asks:

Hello. I am 26 years old.
I sometimes had pain in the coccyx area (dull pain) since the 1st year of university, it manifested itself when I sat on a chair and sat for a long time, for example at work, while studying. It so happened that I was operated on for acute paraproctitis this year. For a month after the operation, I did not sit, I only lay or stood. When everything returned to normal, the site of excision into the lumen of the intestine and on the butt began to sit. But now the pain in the tailbone area has intensified and began to appear not only when I sit down somewhere, but when I tense my buttocks or turn over in bed. I visited a proctologist, he said that perhaps the pain intensified due to the operated paraproctitis and said that it was coccygodonia. He prescribed a diode speaker and a magnet with novocaine to do for 10 days. The pain intensified on the 3rd day of the procedures and continued until I finished doing the procedures, and in addition, during the last procedure, the dynamics caused minor burns to the skin (((. Now the skin is peeling off, and the tailbone continues to hurt with the same movements. The doctor said that this is most likely the case It will be all my life, sometimes more, sometimes less, but it will hurt. Advise me what should I do and is this true for the rest of my life?

Thank you for your responses.

Answers Lukashevich Ilona Viktorovna:

Dear Ilona! If a proctologist has already consulted you and does not see any proctological pathology in you (that is, the symptoms of paraproctitis have regressed and the wound has completely healed, there is no damage to the coccyx and the epithelial coccygeal tract), then you should consult a neurologist. Before consulting a neurologist, take an x-ray of the lumbosacral-coccygeal region in 2 projections. The neurologist will recommend therapy that will reduce pain and discomfort in this area.

Victor asks:

Hello, I would like to ask. Almost 2 months have passed since the risky contact. During this time I was tested for HIV twice. a week and 1.5 months after contact. So far everything is negative. But the symptoms that appeared a couple of weeks after contact are killing me
1. Sudden weakness. For three days I slept like a pregnant woman, 12-15 hours a day.
2. Severe sweating, not at night but during the day, lasted a couple of days.
3. Pain and crunching in the joints. The pain seems to have gone away, but the crunch is still there.
4. Head pain and dizziness. I have never had such attacks of dizziness. :(
5. Pain in the neck, as if I had a cold. It’s like it’s pinching my nerves or joints, I don’t know what it is. Plus slight pain under the arms.
6. My throat hurt for a couple of days. Then it went away.
7. Some red spots appear on my body, but I noticed that they appear after I put on synthetic clothes and sweat a little, and as soon as they dry, they immediately go away.
8. Some kind of sores popped up in my mouth at different periods of time... like sores, this happened to me before, but still... these sores went away on their own within 2 days. Now everything seems to be fine.
9. Rash on the neck, itching on the neck and on the arms in front of the elbows... I don’t know what this place is called. I’ve had this since childhood, but this time this thing doesn’t go away for a long time, friends who know it say that it’s a burn... and indeed my neck is very burnt now, just following the contours of the football shirt
10. My stomach hurts from time to time, and I had diarrhea, but it only lasted for 2 days.
11. The skin has become somehow tender, when I scratch it, red marks remain, but all my friends say that this is normal, maybe I just began to see something that I had not seen before.
12. My kidneys hurt, which I had never noticed in myself before either.
I have not observed any symptoms such as fever for a week or more, enlarged lymph nodes, I don’t seem to have herpes either, I don’t notice a cough or runny nose either, no no, I sneeze and that’s it. Very rarely.
Now a little more information that I hope will help you give a more reliable answer
In the last 3-4 years I have been living in a state of constant stress, constant scandals in the family, a crazy boss at work constantly threatening to fire me, there were some others panic fears, uncertainty, threats against me, it always seemed that they were plotting something against me, and I had to constantly be on guard. I soon solved all the problems and seemed to be able to calm down, but then the death of one of my relatives followed, stress. Then, due to some circumstances, the sleep pattern was lost, at first day and night changed, then there was a moment when I had to stay awake all night, and at 6 am fall asleep for a couple of hours, and not sleep again, the dream was driven away, then I could fall asleep at 4 pm and wake up at 8 pm for dinner. With all this, I began to suspect that I had HIV, and given my suspiciousness, this was a death sentence; I had a real risk. And I began to look for symptoms and from that moment it all began, horror, fear, and the more I thought about it, the more it all manifested itself, I lost my appetite, woke up with a kind of heavy head, and with a body as if a hundred elephants had walked over it. another camp of gypsies with dancing. Over time, I came to terms with my diagnosis, and little by little began to move away, I stopped feeling the nodes, swallowing saliva without stopping to check for a sore throat, I stopped being nervous, as if the symptoms began to go away, my bowel movements returned to normal, my head seemed to hurt less, my throat went away. During the active symptoms and the highest point of my depressive state I kept trying to get my temperature up, because it was supposed to rise, but I didn’t raise it above 36.7, no matter how nervous I was. In general, I feel good now, but there seems to be some weakness, or maybe it’s just me. In general, I have come to terms with the diagnosis, although there is little hope. I made a script for my funeral and a list of things to do. In general, if they don’t find HIV, I’ll definitely go crazy :)
And I also have a stage 2 thyroid gland, and an endocrinologist I know categorically forbade me to be nervous and calmly wait 3 months and repeat the tests.
And even before my neck and body began to ache, I slept under the air conditioner, and often sat under it. the computer is under it. The air conditioning worked with direct pressure and the temperature was about 19-22 degrees. Maybe this also had an effect on everything that happened to me. I measured my temperature again now: 36.4. By the way, it’s been a year since I came from abroad and this is my first summer in my hometown, the temperature here reaches 45 degrees. in general, help me understand my situation, in principle I am already prepared for the worst, but there is still a small, barely living hope. Thanks in advance for your answer.

The sensation of a burn on the skin without external manifestations will, if not frighten, perplex any person. Moreover, various formations or discomfort on the epidermis always signal serious disorders in the body. In some cases, they are accompanied by peeling or redness, but it also happens that there are no external signs, but there is a feeling of a burn.
The only right decision in such a situation would be to go to the nearest hospital and consult a dermatologist. Otherwise, there is a risk of missing the initial stage of the disease.

According to medical concepts, a person will feel a feeling of burns when touched in situations where the upper layers of the epidermis are irritated by external or internal factors for a long time. This condition is caused by the reaction of skin receptors, and its nature is classified as paroxysmal.

If such a symptom appears, the doctor will most likely refer the patient for additional consultation with a dermatologist and other specialized specialists, which will allow a final diagnosis to be made and therapeutic measures to begin.

There are a number of external and internal factors that provoke the feeling of a burn without external damage to the skin. Let's look at them in more detail.

External

When exposed to such a factor, the cause of the burn sensation is easiest to establish. This is because a person has the opportunity to track the reaction of the epidermis when this or that object touches the skin.
Let's say if a person is bitten by any insect, then the feeling of a burn will appear almost immediately, especially if it was a bee, wasp or mosquito.

The presented symptom is far from harmless, and should not be underestimated. Doctors also note the fact that the feeling of a burn without visible signs on the skin can be a signal of the development of oncological pathology in the initial stage, diseases of internal organs, joints, gout, diabetes, malfunction of the liver, kidneys and gall bladder.

In most cases, this is the influence of external and internal factors. Therefore, the initial actions of doctors will be aimed at stopping the true pathological process, which will help the patient get rid of unpleasant external symptoms and discomfort.

It is possible that in case of a serious illness, drug or conservative therapy may not help, and then the patient will require surgical intervention. But at the same time, the sooner the operation is performed, the higher the chance of a favorable outcome and complete recovery of the patient.

  2. Impact. The principle of therapy always depends on the root cause, therefore, what exactly is needed in a particular case cannot be said with certainty. For some disorders, drug therapy will suffice, but for others, surgery may be necessary.
  3. Physiotherapy. Be sure to be part of the complex treatment of internal causes that lead to the feeling of a burn. Such exposure will help cope with certain diseases, and will also increase the level of the body’s defense response.

It is important to understand that self-diagnosis and treatment can significantly worsen the condition, so it is imperative to consult a doctor even with such a seemingly insignificant symptom.

Traumatic damage to the skin resulting from exposure to high temperatures or contact with chemicals leads to burns. Almost every person has had personal experience with burns that were of varying degrees and appeared due to prolonged exposure to the sun, failure to comply with safety precautions with electrical appliances, or due to negligence, which is more typical for children.

Minor burns can be treated at home using: traditional methods, and to pharmacy over-the-counter drugs. It is important to remember that only 1st or 2nd degree burns can be treated at home. If the burn damage is severe enough or has damaged most of the skin, then treatment at home is not acceptable and can not only harm a person’s health, but also lead to severe consequences. Let us briefly consider the main types and degrees of burns, as well as first aid and remedies that will help restore skin after a burn at home.

Recipes traditional medicine and medications for the treatment of burns that will be mentioned in this article can only be used for minor burns (1st and 2nd degree) of the skin. If there is a burn of the respiratory tract, mucous membranes, or the percentage of burn damage occupies more than 40% of the skin and is stage 3 or higher, then the only way out will be immediate appeal see a doctor or call for emergency medical help.

Types of burns

You can get a burn in several ways, which is why there are several types of burn injuries to the skin.

  • Thermal (thermal) burns - appear as a result of exposure of human skin to fire, steam, hot liquids or objects.
  • Electrical burns—occur from contact with electrical appliances or lightning.
  • Chemical burns are close contact with chemicals that have local irritant properties.
  • Radiation burns – appear after prolonged contact with ultraviolet rays (sunlight, solarium).

Regardless of the origin of the burn, when the injury occurs, a violation of the integrity and irritation of the skin occurs, which causes severe pain in the person, redness of the skin in the area of the injury, followed by the formation of blisters (2nd degree).

Degrees of burns

There are many reasons that can cause a skin burn, but before you begin treatment, you need to determine how severe the burn is. All burns, regardless of the cause of their occurrence, are divided into first, second and third degree burns.

First degree burn

Minor damage to the skin due to high temperatures is classified as first degree burns. Such a burn on the skin only causes redness and pain. A first-degree burn does not require hospitalization and can be successfully treated at home.

Second degree burn

Second degree burns penetrate deeper into the skin. This type of burn injury is characterized not only by redness of the skin, but also by the appearance of blisters, which are filled with clear liquid inside. Most often, 2nd degree burns occur when scalded with boiling water, prolonged exposure to the sun, or contact with chemicals. If a 2nd degree burn is extensive, then a large loss of fluid occurs in the human body.

After such burns, scars may remain on the skin. Important: If a 2nd degree burn is larger in area than a person’s palm or is on the face, you should definitely see a doctor, this will help avoid cosmetic problems in the future. Treatment of 2nd degree burns is carried out at home and is successfully treated pharmaceutical drugs in combination with traditional medicine.

Third degree burn

Third degree burns are quite dangerous. When they are received, the skin is destroyed, subcutaneous tissues and nerve endings are affected. Such burns can occur as a result of contact with chemicals, oily substances, from electrical appliances or lightning. The condition of a victim with 3rd degree burns can be either moderate or severe. Treatment is only inpatient. Usually, after receiving third degree burns, a person needs skin grafts.

In the case when a burn damages 20% - 40% of a person’s skin, the injuries are deep, there is a disruption in the functioning of internal organs, and the victim’s condition is serious, then it makes sense to talk about 4th degree burns, which often end in death.

First aid for burns

After receiving a burn, it is important to provide first aid first aid to the victim, which will help significantly minimize the consequences and alleviate the person’s condition. It is important to remember that further treatment and the recovery process often depend on how first aid is provided. Therefore, it is very important to behave correctly when getting a burn. One of the most important things when providing first aid for burns is calmness and lack of panic. Only a “collected” and self-confident person can carry out pre-medical measures. So, first aid for burns consists of the following:

1. As quickly as possible, stop contact of the injured person with the source of high temperatures. If a person is under electrical current, then you should not touch the person or the source itself. You need to use any insulated object and eliminate the current. In the event that, after cessation of contact with high temperature, further destruction of tissue occurs, it is necessary to apply cold (ice, snow, etc.) to the burned surface. cold water), but no more than 10 - 15 minutes.

2. Considering that the injured person feels severe pain, you can give any painkiller, anti-inflammatory drug (Ibuprofen, Ketanov and others).

3. After anesthesia, the damaged area of skin must be treated and a sterile gauze bandage applied. Good result can be obtained by using a special dressing material"Combixin" or "Diosept", which can be used for burns of varying degrees.

4. Handle chemical or thermal burns Can be done with running water. Burns with alkali - weak solution citric acid. If a person has received a chemical burn to the skin, treatment at home is carried out depending on the substance that caused the damage to the skin.

Chemical burns usually require professional medical attention, but if the burn is minor, you can rinse with a strong stream of cold water. In the case where the burn is caused by quicklime, it is strictly forbidden to cool the surface of the body with water, since such substances upon contact with water have the opposite effect and burn the skin even more. Also, when providing first aid after a chemical burn, it is prohibited to independently use any external medications. Since the reaction of a chemical substance in combination with a medicinal composition can be very different and not always favorable.

If you receive severe burns, after providing first aid, you must wait for the ambulance to arrive and be sure to tell the duty team about your actions. If the burns are minor and the face or mucous membranes are not damaged, then you can do without the help of a doctor. The exception is children.

What not to do for burns

Incorrect or untimely first aid for burns can lead to complications that will affect the treatment process and increase the recovery period. In case of burns, it is strictly prohibited:

  • lubricate the skin after burns with vegetable oil;
  • use products containing alcohol;
  • open the blisters yourself;
  • clean the wound from remnants of clothing;
  • use urine.

For burns, it is recommended to apply cold to the damaged area, but remember that for no more than 10 - 15 minutes. If the amount of time is increased, death of nerve endings may occur, followed by the development of skin necrosis.

Complications after burns

Minor skin burns do not cause any complications, but if a blister appears at the site of the injury, which indicates a 2nd degree burn, there is a risk of infection, followed by suppuration and inflammation of the blister. The presence of an inflammatory process can cause increased body temperature, general weakness of the body and other ailments. After the burn has suppurated, a scar or scar may remain on the damaged area.

With third-degree burns, complications are much more serious and can negatively affect the functioning of internal organs and systems.
