    How to make a voluminous snowflake

    You will need:

    Paper of any color (preferably not too thin);

    Scissors;

    Stapler (you can use glue or tape);

    Simple pencil;

    Ruler.

    1. Prepare 6 squares of paper. The squares must be the same size. Bend each square in half, diagonally.

    * If you want to make a small snowflake, then the side of each square can be 10 cm, and if large, then all 25 cm. For large snowflakes it is better to use thick paper. For beginners, it is advisable to make the first snowflake small.

    2. Using a ruler and pencil, mark 3 parallel lines. The distance between each line should be the same. When making a large snowflake, you can make more stripes.

    * In the image, the lines are drawn with a red felt-tip pen to make it easier to see.

    3. Using scissors, start cutting the paper from the edge, not reaching a little to the middle (about 3-5mm).

    4. Turn the paper back into a square and start rolling the first row of strips into a tube (see picture).

    * Strips can be fastened with a stapler or glue.

    5. Turn the paper over to the other side and fasten the next two strips, also fastening them with a stapler, glue or tape.

    6. Turn the snowflake over again and connect the last strips.

    7. The same process must be repeated with the remaining five paper squares.

    8. When all the parts of the snowflake are ready, they need to be connected in the middle with a stapler. First you need to connect half of the snowflake, that is, 3 of its parts, and then the remaining 3 parts.

    9. Staple both halves together, as well as all the places where the snowflakes touch. This way the snowflake will not lose its shape.

    10. Start decorating the snowflake the way you want. You can use stickers, glitter, etc.

    * Yours beautiful craft You can hang it on a window, wall, or Christmas tree.

    Thick paper of any color;

    Scissors;

    1. Cut 12 strips of paper 1cm wide and 20cm long.

    * You can slightly increase the size of the strips - width 1.5cm, length 30cm.

    How to make beautiful snowflakes from pasta

    You will need:

    Pasta of various shapes;

    Acrylic paints;

    Brush;

    Decorations to taste (glitter, stickers, artificial snow (you can use sugar or salt instead), etc.);

    * To make it easier, place the pasta on a large flat plate.

    * To avoid staining the table with glue and paint, cover it with paper.

    1. Before you start making a snowflake, you need to come up with a shape, i.e. what it will look like. At this stage, it is also worth considering what form will be durable and will not come apart.

    2. Once you've come up with a shape, you can start gluing. In this case, Moment glue is used, but if you don’t have it, you can try replacing it with PVA glue.

    2.1 First glue the inner circle of the snowflake. After this, you need to leave the glue to dry and this small part of the snowflake to get stronger.

    2.2 Start gluing the next circle.

    * Using the same scheme, you can “build” several circles, but remember that the material is fragile, which means you shouldn’t get excited and make huge snowflakes.

    2.3 After gluing, leave your snowflakes for a day.

    3. Time to paint the snowflake. For this you can use acrylic paint. Maybe, the best option there will be paint in a can, but it’s better to apply it on outdoors and not indoors.

    * You should not use gouache - not only will it take longer to dry, but it may also crack if applied in a thick layer.

    *If you're using acrylic paint, you'll also want to choose a brush that can get into all the crevices of the pasta.

    * It is advisable to have several brushes different sizes, for comfort. If necessary, you can apply a second coat of paint.

    4. Decorating a snowflake. You can use glitter or artificial snow, for example.

    * Snowflakes do not dry quickly, so it is better not to rush to hang them on the Christmas tree immediately after making them. You can hang these snowflakes both on the Christmas tree and on the wall.

    D oh New Year 10 more days!
    If you haven’t had time to buy a New Year’s “snowflake” for your beloved daughter or granddaughter, you can make it yourself, like I did.

    I made my first “snowflake” for my Olenka when she was 2.5 years old.
    We wore it to the Christmas tree party at the Kremlin Palace of Congresses.
    If you liked this “snowflake”, look further...

    D To start, we go to the store and choose fabrics - white crystalline (preferably dense), white mesh (preferably with sparkles), white chiffon (for a scarf-cap, if you want to make such a snowball on your head, consisting of “prickly” snowflakes) and many Swarovski rhinestones of different sizes...

    The basis for making a “snowflake” is the same technique as when making a collar (for Piggy and not only)☺

    So: First, cut out the snowflakes according to the template different shapes(I have -3 types)
    Moreover, along the edge of the template we cut out only half of the snowflake;
    We leave the other half cut by hand with some extra fabric.
    This is what it looks like:
    (I got 22 snowflakes with a diameter of 9.5 cm.) - this is only for the skirt.

    We fold the crystal fabric into a triangle and pin it with needles to secure the edge.

    We get a circle on which we place snowflakes along the edge.
    Snowflakes MUST touch each other -
    Like this:

    We melt each snowflake to the base with a hot needle and,
    until the fusion site has cooled down, press it with your finger - the snowflake “sits” in place.

    Then we place the template on the snowflake and, along the edge of the template, cut off the lower part of the snowflake and its middle with a hot needle.

    When all the snowflakes around the perimeter are ready, fold the circle again into a triangle so that all the snowflakes coincide along the edge.

    Measure the length of the skirt from the edge and cut out the middle.

    The result is an even circle like this:

    Now is the time to glue the rhinestones.
    If the rhinestones are adhesive-based, just put each one in place and press for a few seconds with a moderately hot needle.
    I don’t recommend it being very hot, because... whitish or brown spot). Practice on a separate piece of fabric to adjust the needle temperature.
    In general, for gluing rhinestones I use “Moment” glue, which I apply to the fabric with a long needle (in a dot) and place the rhinestone on this place with tweezers, pressing it with my finger.

    We frame the upper edge of the snowflake along the contour with dots.
    (Slightly lift the fabric between your fingers and burn a point with the end of a hot needle, holding it strictly perpendicular to the surface of the fabric).

    and set aside.

    Let's move on to the top tier of the snowflake skirt.
    To do this, take a mesh fabric and, by folding it, cut out a circle.
    There should be 4 such circles.
    This skirt should be shorter than the previous one.

    We cut each one on one side and connect it to each other, placing them in bow folds.

    We also assemble the top under the elastic band, put the second skirt (with bow pleats) on the first (with snowflakes). We connect them together, sew on a belt, into which we insert three elastic bands at equal distances.

    Well, you can come up with the top yourself. I sewed two wide straps (from crystal), on which I placed wings collected from scraps of fabric from skirts (lunge from the center of the circle).
    I alternated crystallon and mesh (see main photo).

    Since the kids are small, I didn’t risk putting the “snowflake” on a T-shirt or naked body. White cotton T-shirt with long sleeve fits seamlessly into the outfit. Well, at home, if it’s warm, a light T-shirt will do.

    Well, how to make a “snowball” cap scarf is a separate lesson.
    You can do without it by making rubber bands-snowflakes.

    For those who have learned their lesson, I suggest watching my favorite “Snowflakes” at the holiday.

    The first “Snowflake” was also useful for the youngest Katyusha.
    Well, I already made another one for Olenka...

    DIY snowflakes made from beads and beads will be an excellent decor for the New Year tree, as well as holiday souvenir to the main gift. It can also be used as a decorative element when assembling pendants, earrings or key rings. Guided by step-by-step master class You can easily assemble such a snowflake yourself.

    Accessories:
    Beads 4 mm
    Beads white
    Blue beads
    Wire 0.3 mm
    Tools: scissors

    Assembly:

    Measure a piece of wire with a margin of up to 50-60 cm. String 5 white beads onto its middle. Through 6 beads we draw the edges of the wire with the tails facing each other and tighten. We get a ring of beads.

    We string a white bead onto the right edge of the wire, then a blue one, again a white one and two blue ones. Next, we collect three white 4 mm beads, alternating them with blue beads. Turn the wire back and pass it through the blue bead (fourth bead first).

    Now we repeat the parallel set of beads, stringing white, blue and again white beads. Afterwards, we pass the edge of the wire through two white beads in the ring and begin to make the top pattern, similar to the previous one.

    We repeat the patterned weaving in this way over each white bead in the ring.

    After the last pattern, we secure the wire, hiding its ends in any of the beads. A snowflake made of beads and beads is ready!
