As always, we start all crafts with interesting facts, at the same time we broaden the horizons of the little ones. Since ancient times, the owl has inspired superstitious fear in people and at the same time was a symbol of wisdom. The fear was caused by the owl's nocturnal lifestyle and the fact that it sees more in the dark than people should know. This owl was called wise because it was an attribute of the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom - Athena. Another possible reason is huge, unblinking eyes with a gaze.

In fact, the owl requires acute vision and hearing for night hunting. These birds destroy rodents, thereby bringing great benefits to the protection of grain crops. To make an owl, take:

• square sheet brown paper (single sided);
• black felt-tip pen.

At the first stage, you need to fold the square in half in different transverse directions.

Fold the workpiece in the following way so that the colored side is on the inside.

Now fold our sheet in half lengthwise again.

Unfold the brown square.

We bend the upper side of the workpiece towards the middle line.

We bend the fold we just made, after which we need to bend the upper side corners.

Let's turn the blank of the future owl over to the other side.

Let's fold the top edge again, but this time we'll make it narrower (fold it to the nearest line).

We bend the sides symmetrically.

From the front side, the blank of the future owl looks like this.

We bend the bottom edge up.

Now you need to make diagonal bends on the top layer. First we do this with right side.

Then we repeat a similar fold on the left.

The triangular folds made should be slightly straightened.

After that, we fold them in a different way, straightening the lower part outward.

We do the same with the left side.

Now you need to bend the edges of the resulting folds to the sides so that the white side of the paper is at the top.

We form the beak of our owl. To do this, bend the top corner a little down.

Fold the right side of the bottom layer towards the middle.

We will do the same with the left side. This is how we outlined the eyes of our owl.

If necessary, use glue and fix the necessary folds.

Let's turn our craft over to the other side.

Here you need to make the folds of the lower sides.
All that remains is to draw the eyes with a felt-tip pen.

Angry birds made of paper

Now we will make angry or angry birds. Everything is much simpler here - we print out the template, cut it out and glue it together. It is better to glue it with a glue stick. PVA makes the paper wet and makes it more difficult to assemble the cube.

Now let's form the head of our chick. To do this, bend the upper corner of the resulting square down, but not to the very bottom.

Fold the top layer of the corner itself up. This is how we made the beak.

Let's turn our bird's blank over to the reverse side.

Let's start forming the wings. To do this, we bend the right corner towards the center, but do not reach the center line a little.

A symmetrical fold is required on the left side.

Now let's bend the corners to the sides. First we will do this on the right side, one wing is ready.

1. Crinkle a quarter of a sheet of newspaper to create a pear-like shape. Then we correct it using paper adhesive tape.
2. Slice paper towels into strips 1.5 cm wide, soak them in the adhesive solution and wrap our workpiece. Then let it dry for 12 hours.

3. Cut out the details of the tail and wings (2 pieces) from cardboard. And then we also cover them with white stripes in an adhesive solution.
4. We attach small parts (wings and tail) to the body and attach them, wrapping them with strips of glue. Let the workpiece dry.

5. We take 2 pieces of wire and make legs out of them. First, we form 4 fingers, and then, twisting both ends around each other, the leg itself, cut off the excess with wire cutters.
6. We wrap the vertical part of the leg with thick thread.

7. After the workpiece has dried well, we first cover it all with base paint (gray), and then draw the rest of the details.
8. We make 2 holes in the belly with a hand drill, pour undiluted glue into them, insert the legs there and make the necessary tilt. Let it dry.
