Commonwealth of Teachers Early Development(SPRR) - a wonderful organization in which they love people and their work, and our friends - provides participants of the “Mom Works” project with the opportunity for free training followed by employment in one of the private children's institutions (kindergartens, children's centers, clubs, summer camps and so on.). The Commonwealth is training teachers and psychologists to work with children preschool age. Special attention During the learning process, the focus is on acquiring practical skills for interacting with children.

There are currently 5 places available on weekday courses and one on weekend courses. The education and work experience received are not important for admission.

11 DEVELOPMENTAL GAMES ACCORDING TO THE MONTESSORI METHOD

1. “Paper balls and snails”

Playing with paper is also a very useful way of spending time, and besides, this activity will not require any special financial expenses from parents. Teach your child to crumple paper and roll it out crumpled sheets paper balls. Another useful activity is pinching - opening small pieces from a whole sheet of paper with your fingers.

It is quite possible that after such a “paper” game, the apartment will require a thorough cleaning, but these are trifles compared to the pleasure your child will get from the process of tearing paper. And the benefits for the development of motor skills are considerable. Show your child how to roll rolls from paper strips. You get rolls or snails - whatever you like!

2. “Funny Clothespins”

Clothespins are a great exercise machine for little fingers. Show your child how they can be attached to any flat object, for example, cardboard, a wide ruler, or a plate. Over time, the task can be complicated: ask your child to fasten the clothespins to a stretched rope. To make your activities more exciting, make special cardboard blanks, for example, you can cut out the silhouettes of a Christmas tree and the sun. It will be much more interesting for the child to attach needles from clothespins to the Christmas tree, and rays to the sun.

3. “Box of tissues”

Toys: A small box containing a couple of pieces of each fabric of different textures (for example, silk, cotton, wool, mohair, etc.). Show your baby three pairs of pieces of fabric that contrast the most in texture; then mix them and ask the child to find the pairs by feeling them with his hands; when the baby understands the meaning of the exercise, add other pieces of fabric; encourage your child to do the same thing blindfolded.

4. "More and less"

Toys: bottles, bubbles, cereal cans with lids of different sizes. Unscrew the caps and caps from several bottles different sizes, it is allowed if some of them contain water. Show your child how the caps are picked up and screwed back on. Invite your baby to do the same procedures with his own bottles and bubbles. Watch his activity carefully.

5. "Colored paths":
The beads are carefully sprinkled onto the table with three fingers (“pinch”). It is advisable to determine the size of the path in advance so that the baby learns to distribute the material evenly. “Beads in a vase”: take beads from a flat plate and throw them with three fingers into a small vase. It is desirable that the neck of the vase be narrower.

6. “Let’s put it in order”:
pour beads of two colors into a bowl (about 5-7 beads of each color) and place two saucers to the right of the bowl. Suggest: “Let’s put all the red beads in one saucer, and all the green ones in the other.” To liven up the game, say, for example, that this is a treat for the bear and the bunny, and the bear only likes cherries, and the bunny only likes gooseberries. Rearrange the beads you need to take one at a time, using three fingers (show). If some beads fall on the table, ask to pick them up with a scoop. Be sure to complete the work - this skill is very important. Therefore, at first, take fewer beads.

7. Playing with colors Toys:
fresh flowers, a small bucket, a dustpan, various vases and jars, scissors, a watering can, a rag. You pour water from a watering can into the selected vase. The child should notice that the flowers in the vase require a certain amount of water. Any water that has overflowed is wiped off with a rag. The lower leaves and a piece of the stem are cut off from the flower, after which the flower is placed in a vase. There should be so many flowers that the child has the opportunity to repeat these actions independently with another vase. When the child finishes the exercise-game, you clean up together workplace. You should not disturb the child, even if he cuts the stem too short. Let him see this for himself.

8. Game "Washing dishes"
Toys: dishwashing liquid, sponge, utensil for a small amount of cleaning product, metal object (small saucepan, teapot or spoon). The process is complex and responsible and even more interesting small child. The entire procedure for cleaning the pan is demonstrated to the baby slowly and with obvious interest in the matter. In this way, the child is given the opportunity to learn the course of actions in connection, clearly understand individual actions and pay attention to the matter as a whole. The child is asked to repeat the exercise with another thing. After some time, you can move away, but continuously maintain contact with the working child. When the activity game is finished, you should show the child how to put everything away. Only after cleaning is the exercise considered completed.

9. Game "Cleaning" Toys:
cereals, spoon, tray, sponge or brush, scoop. Sprinkling cereal from one jar to another with a spoon, sorting through buckwheat or millet, as well as cleaning up spilled grain, especially with a sponge and dustpan, are educational games in the spirit of Montessori.

10. “Don’t spill or spill”:
first pour some cereal into the jug and show your baby how, holding the jug right hand and holding it with your left hand, pour the cereal into a glass standing to the left of the jug. (The child should sweep any spilled grains into a dustpan with a brush.) Do not forget to discreetly praise the child if he cleaned up carefully. 11. “Magic Sieve”:

This is difficult to do even with your small and dexterous fingers. But a sieve will help you!” Separating one grain from another is like a trick for a child. Explain why this happens by first pouring clean semolina into a sieve, and then pouring the sifted rice into the prepared plate. Rejoice with the child at the result achieved.
