MakSim: “Without undue modesty, I’ll say right away - I was lucky. I have normal skin and my complexion is fine, so in everyday life I don’t have to use foundation (and in the summer this is a particularly big plus!). I usually do my own makeup, but when it comes to important shoots like music videos and TV shows, my makeup artist Alexandra Lukash comes to the rescue. I’ve been working with her for 10 years.”
Everyday makeup
“I try to use a minimum of products: usually mascara, eyebrow mascara, sometimes blush and tint or neutral lipstick. Another indispensable product in my makeup bag is a corrector for the skin around the eyes (saves me when I don’t get enough sleep!). The product is completely colorless, leaves behind only a glow and makes you look fresh and rested.”

For a concert
“In stage makeup, everything is more complicated: facial features should be clearly visible to the distant rows, but at the same time they should not be highlighted too boldly, since this is still not makeup, but makeup, which simply should be a little brighter than everyday. I repeat, in everyday life I don’t use foundation, but at a concert it is indispensable as a base. I also apply two concealers, cream and dry, to consolidate the result. For each color, of course, I have my own brush. I line the lower eyelids with a flesh-colored pencil with a glowing effect - so that the eyes, as they say, shine, and then I use liquid eyeliner and put light shadows on the inner corner of the eye. As for lips, there is no need for glosses and greasy lipsticks at a concert - everything will be smeared on the microphone anyway (a comical sight!), so I just add a little color with a dry pencil, without highlighting the borders - well, where do I need more lips?
