La Roche-Posay: a panacea for problem skin? La Roche-Posay Effaclar line for problem skin La Roche series for problem skin

Hello everyone! I haven’t written anything for a long time, although the photos have been edited in my folder for a long time. It's time to improve) Today I will talk about my experience using French pharmacy cosmetics La Roche-Posay, about which I heard a lot of flattering reviews. The experience, as it turned out, was not entirely smooth; there were both successes and outright failures. So, the heroes of today's post - Cleansing foaming gel - La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purfying Foaming Gel, Cleansing liquid for makeup removal - La Roche-Posay Effaclar Make-Up Removing Purifying Water, Pore tightening lotion with micro-exfoliating effect - La Roche- Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion Micro-Exfoliant, La Roche-Posay Physiological Soothing Toner and La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water

Let's start with, perhaps, one of the most famous products of the brand - the Effaclar series washing gel

Cleansing foaming gel - La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purfying Foaming Gel

The transparent gel has a characteristic gel structure, not very liquid, but not thick, and has a pleasant, unobtrusive smell. It foams well and is used sparingly (a pea-sized drop of gel is enough for one wash). Does not cause irritation, does not sting the eyes.

Compound:

As expected, the product suited me 100%. Cleanses the skin perfectly and calms redness a little. It doesn’t wash to the point of squeaking, but there is a clear feeling of cleanliness) If you don’t use a tonic, the skin feels a little tight. I can’t say that it has a fabulous effect on my problem skin, but it does its job perfectly and doesn’t make it any worse, which is also important. Most likely, my search for the ideal wash will end there, since this is the best of all that I have tried.

By the way, I liked the sample washbasin from the Toleyran series; it might make sense to take it for the winter.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Make-Up Removing Purifying Water

I have a habit of buying several care products from the same series. When choosing a makeup remover, I also decided to purchase La Roche-Posay. I was choosing between micellar water for oily and problem skin and makeup remover milk. I thought and thought and decided to take micellar water. Based on the fact that it’s summer, the milk will be a little heavy, and I’ve been looking at micellar waters for a long time. In addition, they promised an antibacterial effect, non-comedogenicity, etc.

The product is a clear liquid with a slight pharmaceutical smell.

Compound:

I don’t know why, but my skin doesn’t accept some products. In the sense that in general. I can’t say that this is an allergy (my allergies look different), it’s just that the skin begins to react with violent rashes, huge red pimples, etc. At the same time, the products are completely different, of different brands and price categories. I often had this reaction to creams, but I had no luck with this water.

Frankly speaking, I did not think at all that the rashes were related to the use of this water. It removes makeup really well, you probably don’t even have to wash your face after it (although I personally haven’t tried it, I’m used to washing my face with gel after removing makeup). But the skin reaction... This is something terrible! For two weeks I could not figure out why such a disgrace was happening. I canceled absolutely all suspicious drugs, and only at the very end I reached the water. Total, 2 weeks of use + 3 weeks of waste. This is how sad I was with my first micellar product. I think that I won’t decide on such a purchase for a long time; I will use my usual milk.

Testing period: 2 weeks.
Grade: Of course, it’s difficult for me to objectively evaluate the product, because it frankly didn’t suit me. For removing makeup - 5, for the effects on the skin - 2.

Pore tightening lotion with micro-exfoliant effect - La Roche-Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion Micro-Exfoliant

Even before purchasing the ever-memorable micellar, I became acquainted with this wonderful lotion. Probably every girl with oily/combination skin knows what enlarged pores are. And, of course, everyone wants to hide/narrow them as much as possible. And I'm no exception. Therefore, when I saw your lotion, I immediately purchased it. Of course, the product is a little ambiguous in terms of composition, because it contains alcohol, which many may not like/suit. I have no prejudices against alcohol, and my skin has nothing against it. Quite the contrary, in small concentrations it has a very beneficial effect on it.

The lotion is also a clear water with a slight pharmaceutical smell, the smell of alcohol is barely perceptible.

Compound:

Of course, I really, really liked the lotion. Well refreshes and tones the skin, dries and disinfects inflammation and redness. Over time, pores become visually smaller. Of course, I won’t say that the pores narrowed right before our eyes and remained the same. This is not the case, but in general, the skin becomes better after using the lotion. The rashes have decreased a little, and they go away faster with it. I used it for 2 months until it ran out, and then switched to the summer version - a physiological tonic, which will be discussed below (after all, it’s better not to use acids in the summer). But I’m sure that I’ll return to it starting in the fall.

Soothing toner - La Roche-Posay Physiological Soothing Toner

Another clear water, however, does not smell like medicine, but a very pleasant, subtle fragrance.

Compound:

Download honestly, I don’t even know what to say about it. It’s generally difficult to talk about tonics, and even more so about this one. Yes, it tones well and removes cleanser residue. That, in fact, is the whole opinion. A good tonic without any additional benefits. Claimed to be calming sensitive skin, but I personally did not notice this effect.

Thermal water - La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water

And finally, about some water) Probably everyone has heard about it. And many even actively use it. To be honest, there is no urgent need for this thing, but as an auxiliary tool it is very good.

Compound:

I would immediately like to note a very convenient sprayer, the droplets are very small and cover the face like a cloud of fog. I love this feeling, especially when it’s +30 outside) I use this thermal water for several purposes. Firstly, it is moisturizing after using the cream. Almost all creams, especially moisturizers, contain glycerin, which, at low air humidity, sucks moisture from the deep layers of the skin, which, naturally, is not good for it. Therefore, so that glycerin has somewhere to get it from, after applying the cream, I sprinkle my face with water.

I also use it to set my makeup (after applying foundation powder, veils, etc., but before using mascara). Sometimes, if I’m feeling overwhelmed and I’m too lazy to use toner, I use this instead. And, of course, as hydration in the hot season, it’s very invigorating)

To sum it up in general, I liked the brand’s products, I will buy many of them again, and perhaps I’ll try something new. And this pleasant overall impression was not even greatly overshadowed by the trouble with micellar water, although I was extremely surprised.

That's all, actually. Thank you for reading, I hope it was useful)

When I decided it was time to update my care, the choice fell on pharmacy brandLa Roche-Posay. I will say right away that the impressions from what I have tried are contradictory; there are both useless and incomparable means.

I don’t remember the exact prices, but everything was within 900 rubles.

About my skin: problematic combination. It is very easy to dry out to a completely indigestible state, and at the same time there is an oily sheen in the T-zone. Enlarged pores, periodic rashes, in general, the complete package. And when I started using La Roche-Posay, something hellish was happening on my face. At the same time as La Roche-Posay, I started treatment from the inside (for girls, which I advise everyone to do), which together gave a very decent result.

Effaclar Duo - anti-acne cream-gel

In theory: Effaclar Duo cream-gel based on La Roche-Posay thermal water simultaneously fights two problems - clogged pores and local inflammation. The four active components in the cream work in several directions at once: niacinamide stops the development of inflammation, a special antibacterial component prevents yeast from developing, and a complex of two acids eliminates dead skin cells and replenishes the lack of essential substances in the skin. Together they effectively eliminate existing imperfections and prevent the appearance of new ones.

The product turned out to be very light, it is quickly absorbed and is an excellent base for makeup.

My subjective opinion: It was this remedy that left the most vivid impression on my fragile psyche. It is very light, practically odorless, fits quite well on the skin, without leaving a film or pulling. It is also absorbed quite quickly. And this is all good, of course, but the main thing is the effect. And he was so healthy. After just a few days of use, improvements were noticeable. Moreover, the very next day This miracle remedy pulled out a couple of subcutaneous tissues that, in my uninformed opinion, were not going to appear in the light of day for another month or two. Being completely delighted, I applied it both in the morning (by the way, makeup goes on well on it, if, of course, you don’t overdo it with the cream itself) and in the evening. And I couldn’t be happier with the condition of my skin: there were fewer pimples, those that existed were ripe and ready for ruthless destruction, and the new ones disappeared just as quickly. But. Not even a week had passed before the entire skin of my face began to peel like hell, just peeling off in flakes. The consultant at the pharmacy warned me about such possible consequences and recommended that if the skin “requests to drink”, buy another moisturizer, and use Duo only once a day, which is what I did. And you know, everyone really looks better and healthier every day!

Effaclar H-a soothing moisturizer.

In theory: moisturizes skin irritated during acne treatment, thanks to its lipid content, which helps restore the hydrolipidic film. Increases the protective function of the skin due to the patented component Ceramide 5, La Roche-Posay thermal water, bisabololol, which softens and moisturizes the skin.

My opinion: The cream is of medium density, without odor or any other special features. First the good stuff: it's really moisturizing. The peeling on the face began to disappear before our eyes. However, I did not notice a miraculous effect on irritated and reddened areas of the skin. That is, it turns out that the cream copes with its task by half. But this is not the only reason why I will not buy it again, but will continue to search for my ideal moisturizer. The fact is that Effaclar H lays on the skin with a glossy film, which does not look particularly aesthetically pleasing, and generally excludes the option of applying makeup on it. If you run your hand over the skin even a couple of hours after application, a nasty shine will remain on your hand. And during the morning wash (I apply the cream, naturally, at night), it is still felt and as if washed off. In general, it would have received an absolute D if it weren’t for the hydration, but it is present and quite good. But, of course, this is not an option for the summer, and I’m unlikely to buy it next winter.

Effaclar H. Cleansing soothing mousse.

In theory: Cleansing problematic skin prone to dryness. Indications for use: Oily, dry, problematic skin. Description: Perfectly cleanses and soothes problematic skin. The creamy texture that is part of the mousse gently cleanses impurities without irritating or drying out the skin. No fragrance, no dyes, no soap, no alcohol. Contains only useful components that carefully care for the skin:

My opinion: It was love at first time, I'm not afraid of this word. First, texture. Very dense foam that pours out (or what does it do there?) in sufficient quantities when you press the dispenser for half a second. Applying it is incredibly pleasant and very funny, especially for those who see you doing this simple activity (well, it’s not every day you see a girl with thick foam on her chin)). I must say that this is my first wash (and I have tried a huge number and pharmaceuticals, and luxury, and once a mass), after which the redness does not begin to play with all shades of scarlet, but rather is muted. Skin color really evens out. And with all this lightness and tenderness, the mousse cleanses perfectly. In general, I haven’t found any analogues yet and I’m unlikely to ever find them.

Hydraphase mask

In theory: Hydraphase Mask is designed to deliver, fix and distribute moisture in the surface layers of the skin. The mask has an intense moisturizing effect thanks to a combination of sodium salt hyaluronic acid and special moisturizing components. Has a light refreshing texture.

My opinion: In addition to the cream and to enhance the effect, I also bought a mask. In appearance, consistency and smell - an ordinary cream, without miracles. One packet is more than enough for the whole face. So, we smear it on, leave it for 10 minutes, and then remove what is not absorbed with a napkin. It must be said that even after this, the remnants of the mask on the face look as unaesthetic as the above-mentioned moisturizer. And I always have a phobia that I just wash this mask on the pillow) But no, when you wash your face the next morning, you get the complete impression that the mask was not absorbed in principle, but remained quietly on the upper layer of the epidermis. Surely, after reading the previous 5 lines, you definitely decided never to buy this mask, but, you know, oddly enough, it really moisturizes well. Severe peeling went away after a couple of uses, but now I can only occasionally maintain the result.

Corrective cream-gel La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + Corrective Unclogging Care Anti-Imperfections Anti-Marks for oily skin acne-prone

This friend came in a set with gel as an introductory product. Was originally packaged in cardboard box, the tube is plastic, the cap is unscrewed. The dispenser is convenient and dispenses as much product as you need. Volume 15 ml.

The consistency is creamy-gel, holds its shape, and is absorbed in 5-10 seconds. Suitable for use as a makeup base.

The manufacturer promises us that the cream is capable of:
Reduce pronounced imperfections
Correct and prevent the appearance of post-acne
Reduce sebum production

What I noticed after 3 months of use. The cream perfectly moisturizes the skin, the effect lasts throughout the day, is an excellent base for makeup, the foundation does not crease, and lasts all day. It really reduces imperfections; acne did not appear when using the cream. I can’t say that it reduces sebum production; the skin still became oily within 4-5 hours after applying the cream. But, in any case, it has more advantages than disadvantages, so I will buy a full-size product.

Spray tonic La Roche-Posay Serozinc Zinc Sulfate Solution oil control

The problem of oily skin has always been a torment for me, especially in the summer. That's why I went in search of a remedy that would ease my suffering. So I found a tonic in a very convenient format.
Packaged in a metal tube with a sprayer, which with one press can “irrigate” the entire face. Volume 150 ml.

The spray is designed to mattify the skin; the manufacturer advises applying it after using a cleanser and before applying a moisturizer. My scheme is this: gel-tonic-cream. Avoid contact with eyes.

There is an effect from this product, matting lasts for 7-8 hours, after which you can reapply the toner, but after cleansing the skin first. The product justifies its price, I will buy more.

Testing period: month
Price: 620 rubles

To sum up, I can say that La Roche-Posay products fully met my expectations. I recommend this product to those with oily and problem skin.

Thank you for your attention

After a week of use:

After two weeks of use:

Summary: I really liked the products. The products were tested on problematic skin prone to dryness, but after use the skin did not feel dry, on the contrary, more moisturized. By and large, just one product may be enough for cleansing - either gel or micellar water. In this case, both products were used alternately, and used together twice a week for a deeper cleansing. But here everyone will choose for themselves, depending on their skin condition. A very big plus for the cost-effectiveness of the funds - the funds have been used since the end of January and have not yet run out, so we can safely say that they last for 2-3 months. The cream, of course, may run out faster.

In addition to the above products, the La Roche-Posay Effaclar line includes the following products:
