Corrugated paper flowers with cornflower hands. Corrugated Paper Cornflowers

To decorate the interior in a rustic style (country, Provence, rustic), compositions from wildflowers are perfect. You can dry some of them, and they will decorate the interior for a long time, but not all wildflowers retain their decorative appearance after drying. You can replace some dried flowers with paper flowers! For example, corrugated paper produces very realistic cornflowers or. And you will learn how to make them with your own hands thanks to our master class.

Materials and tools for creating a flower:

  • blue and green corrugated paper;
  • thin floral wire;
  • white nail polish;
  • a strip of black double-sided paper (corrugated paper can be used);
  • scissors;
  • glue.

First, create all the necessary flower petals. Cut the blue strip 5 cm wide.

We divide it into two segments 8-10 cm long. From the first we cut large petals of the cornflower. And from the second - the inner small petals.

Create stamens from black paper. We cut its tip into such thin strips.

All the details of the bud are ready, proceed to create the stem.

We wrap the entire wire with a thin ribbon of corrugated paper.

Now we wrap ribbons with petals and stamens on the end of the wire stem. First we attach a black fringe, then a blue strip with thin petals.

Last we attach large petals, lifting the tape 0.5 cm above the previous blanks.

When the glue dries, we begin to bend the extreme petals.

The tips of black stamens and thin petals are painted over with white nail polish. You can replace a varnish with any dense paint, for example gouache or acrylic.

We also create leaves from green corrugated paper. We round their ends, and in the middle we make a recess. We apply hot glue to the base and attach them to the stem.

Cornflowers are a rather complicated paper application for children from 7 years and older. The main difficulty for the guys is to carefully cut through the sides of the flowers without hitting the middle. But all the work will pay off by the fact that the result is a gentle and airy work. For children of 7 years it is better to simplify the application a little - to make not five, but three cornflowers. At the same time, the squares from which the flowers will be cut must be increased. Then it will be much easier for the guys to cut.
To make the Cornflower paper application we need:
  A sheet of color cardboard;
   Blue or blue paper in two shades;
   Green and orange colored paper
   Glue
   Scissors
   Pencil
How to make an application of Cornflower paper
  Step 1
  We cut the squares of blue paper in two shades and two sizes. Large square - 6x6 cm; a small square is 5x5 cm. For each cornflower we need one large and one small square.
  Step 2
  Add a diagonal square in half, then half and half.

  Step 3
  Now take the scissors and start cutting. First, round the wide part of our triangle. If you take immediately not squares, but circles, then this operation will not be needed. Then cut the cloves on the edge of the flower. And, last, we need to cut out the sidewalls. Look carefully at how the line goes.

  We unfold the paper - that’s the cornflower flower! We cut such flowers from all harvested squares.
  Glue in pairs small and large flowers.

  Step 4
  Take a sheet of yellow cardboard. From an orange paper we cut out an oval of arbitrary size and glue the applications on the cardboard base.
  Step 5
  We apply the ready-made cornflowers to the base of the applique. Then, taking off the flowers in turn, we outline with a pencil their location.

  Step 6
  Cut thin (about 0.5 cm) strips-stalks. Glue them to the applique. It is necessary to glue only in two places - at the intended point, where the flower will be later, and below. Cut the excess stems after gluing.

  Step 7
  Glue cornflowers on the base of the applique.

  Step 8
  Let's make the leaves. Take a 12x4 cm rectangle and fold it in half. We draw with a pencil the outline of the future leaf.

  Cut the leaf in the intended line. Expand the leaf. Let's make 4-5 of these leaves.

Making flowers out of paper is a very exciting creative process that brings benefits and pleasure not only to adults, but also to children. This lesson allows adults to escape from everyday worries and plunge into the world of creativity and imagination, and helps children develop creative abilities. Today we’ll talk about how to make cornflower out of paper, because it’s not a simple hand-made craft, but a piece of summer that you really want to take with you on a long and cold winter.

At present, needlework is in full bloom - craftsmen and craftswomen of handmade products are able to create works of art out of nothing. At the same time, paper is the most popular material for various crafts. All types of paper products are used - from newspapers and magazines that are in every house, to sleeves from paper towels. In addition, the paper is well cut, glued, wrinkled, bent, which gives a huge scope to imagination and imagination.

In order to familiarize yourself with the technique of manufacturing this wildflower in more detail, we offer you a step-by-step master class "Cornflower-flower from corrugated paper".

DIY workshop for creating a cornflower from corrugated paper

Necessary materials and tools:

  • Corrugated paper in green, blue and navy blue;
  • Wire;
  • PVA glue;
  • Manka;
  • Scissors.

From a dark blue corrugated paper we cut a strip 2 cm wide, cut one side of it in the form of a “fence” and twist its sharp tips into thin tubes with fingers.

We take a wire about 1 mm thick, from which we will make the stem, drip PVA glue onto one edge and twist the strip with thin tubes around it.

Harvesting the core of the flower is ready. We put it aside so that it dries out, and ourselves proceed to the manufacture of the remaining parts.

We take a sheet of blue corrugated paper, fold it in half, cut a strip of 3 cm and again cut one edge of it in the form of a “fence”.

These will be the outer petals of our flower. We cut them into pieces of three wedges and twist around a thin wire. In this case, we do not leave the wire inside each petal - it serves only as a support for more reliable paper curling.

You can also use templates of different sizes for the outer petals - with them the flower will turn out to be more realistic.

We proceed to the formation of the flower. To do this, take the blank of its central part and begin to glue the petals evenly in a circle, while forming the base of the flower, additionally fixing the petals with a thread.

While the flower with the base dries, we make leaves. To do this, glue a sheet of green corrugated paper in two layers, then glue this sheet again, inserting a thin wire inside, which will serve as a vein of the leaf (we leave a small tail outside to fix the leaf on the stem).

Cut the leaves for the flower so that the vein wire is located approximately in the middle of the leaf.

We fasten the finished leaves to the stem as you like best - you can arrange the leaves opposite each other, or it can be staggered. After that, cut out a long strip of green paper about 1 cm wide from green paper, coat it with glue on one side and wind it onto the wire, starting from the bottom and paying special attention to the places where the leaves connect to the stem.

Now we need to arrange the base of the flower. To do this, take a glued sheet of green paper (from which the leaves were cut), cut a strip of about 1 cm wide from it, turn it into a “fence” and wind it on the base of the flower.

The last step in the manufacture of paper cornflower will be the formation of pollen on the stamens from which the central part of the flower is formed. To do this, pour a little PVA into the container, gently dip the core of the flower first in PVA, and then into the semolina. The cornflower flower became pollen on the stamens.

In such a simple way, you can make whole bouquets of various flowers for the house, which perfectly fit into any interior and fill the house with summer warmth and sunlight. In addition, even small children can be involved in the production of such flowers - such work perfectly develops the child’s creative abilities and fine motor skills, and joint work has a good effect on further relationships between children and parents.

We made a bouquet of cornflowers  with the girls of the older group. Such work can be given to someone or hung in a frame - it is quite aesthetic.

To make one cornflower we need colored paper, glue, scissors. I prepared for children square blanks of blue 5 cm and violet 4 cm. Green rectangles 2 x 4 cm. I used flower stamens for stamens.

Take the blue square and fold it two times.

You can round the corner.

The most difficult thing for children is to fold the blank two more times. Since the triangle is very small. Here you will need the help of an adult.

Having trimmed around the edge, unfold the workpiece once and you need to carefully cut the corner.

It turned out as if "panties", on each leg we cut a corner.

Exactly the same job to do with the purple square.

Now carefully expand each triangle. Glue the blanks in the center. We make stamens from finely chopped floral paper in white and purple.

We collect cornflower of details. Cut the stalk out of green paper. We make leaves from the green rectangle, folding it in half and cutting two leaves at once. We glue the bud and stamens on it, making a lump. Cornflower is ready!
