Instructions for weaving snowflakes on the machine

The color version of the elastic bands can be selected at your discretion. In our example, the frosty beauties will be blue and white. For weaving six columns of the machine will be involved. First you need to weave each ray individually, and then connect them into a complete snowflake.

We take an elastic band of white color and wrap around the hook four times. We stretch the blue rubber band through the white. The result was a kind of figure eight wrapped in the middle. Pull on the second pegs both edges of the blue iris. Now we stretch it on both edges of the machine from the second to the first and third columns. This is the first layer of weaving.

On the first and third pegs, we dress with a figure of eight on a white elastic band. They form a second layer. The irises of the first layer are discarded from the first and third columns inward. Further weaving continues with blue elastic bands. The sequence is similar to the previous step. We put the next layer on the first and third columns with the figure eight and drop the previous layer of weaving inside.

On the second pegs we stretch a rubber band of blue color. We do the same with the bottom row. We put snow-white gum on the first and third columns. The bottom row must be removed through the outside towards the center.

Now, to complete the weaving of the first ray of snowflakes, you just need to transfer all the rubber bands from the right row of the machine to its left row. The first element can be set aside to free the machine for the next.

The total number of rays in a snowflake is five. When they are woven, you can begin to complete our product. We take two white irises and throw the components on them. Their ends must be connected with a loop. The weave is completed.
The scheme is quite simple, so even an inexperienced craftswoman will figure out how to weave a snowflake out of gum. Experiment with colors, use rubber bands that glow in the dark. Such products can even be used as decorations for the Christmas tree.
Snowflake in a different weaving pattern.
We take an iris and wrap four times around a machine column. Then we connect this column with the neighboring two more irises. Repeat these steps two more times. Thus, we have six columns with a similar pattern. On each pair we make eights, throwing the lower rubber band to the center. Loops are removed using a hook.

Use the hook to spin the beam to the desired length. We repeat the procedure five times so that the corresponding number of rays is formed on the instrument. Using a hook, we pass two irises through the loops and tighten the knot so that the snow miracle does not crumble. We straighten the elements, the product is ready.

Res. wrap around the hook four times. Through it we pass the second. Repeating this step, weave three blanks. Throw three blanks to 1 cut. The first ray turned out. Our snowflake will be five-pointed.

Five parts must be worn on the rubber band. Simply hook it up and stretch it through all the loose loops of the elements.

When they are connected into a single whole, you can tighten the knot so that our gift does not fall apart.

Any snowflake can be presented as a keychain to your loved ones. Simply attach the eyelet to one beam and the key ring is ready.

You need to make three identical blanks. Then take another gum and begin to take off these blanks on it. As before, the free part of the elastic must be put on the hook. Put on the loops again on another gum and put its ends back on the hook. This will be the first ray of snowflakes, so for now you can remove this workpiece from the hook. By the same principle, you will need to prepare five parts for five rays of snowflakes.

Such snowflakes will be a wonderful decoration during the winter holidays and on the Christmas tree, and for the house, and for the class. This is also a great idea for a New Year's souvenir to relatives and friends!

To weave a snowflake from elastic bands you will need:

  • 105 elastic bands of a suitable color;
  • hook for weaving or knitting (No. 4).

How to weave a snowflake out of elastic bands?

Weaving snowflakes is performed using the hook from the set, it is better if it is metal, not plastic. You can also use a regular crochet hook. The number 4 hook is perfect.

Screw the elastic band onto the hook, making 4 turns.

Then hook the two rubber bands and pull them back, putting them on the ring finger or middle finger of your left hand. Gum tension is necessary so that they do not slip off the hook.

Remove the rubber band with 4 turns on the double rubber band, gently sliding with your fingers so that it does not catch on the hook.

Put the second part of a double elastic band on a hook.

Do not remove finished items from the hook.

Repeat 2 more times to get 3 such items.

Then again hook the two rubber bands on the hook and pull with your finger.

Remove all three prefabricated elements from the hook onto the stretched double elastic band. Put the second part of a double elastic band on a hook.

To get a full ray, you need to lengthen it.

To do this, hook two rubber bands onto the hook and pull through the rubber bands that are on the hook.

Put the second part of these two elastic bands on the hook.

Repeat 2 more times to get a ray for a snowflake of the required length.

Each of the finished beams can be removed from the hook and put until all the rest are done.

Weave in the above way another 5 such rays.

Put all the rays on the hook for the left loops.

Hook the double elastic band on the hook and pull it so that it does not come off the hook.

Remove all the rays from the hook to the double elastic band, and then put its second end onto the hook.

Take another gum and hook it in a known manner.

Pull a single elastic with a hook through all the loops on the hook.

Hook the second end of this gum and pull it through the first.

Tighten well enough, but do not overdo it so that the elastic does not burst.

Now the remaining tail must be hidden among the rays of snowflakes.

To do this, pass the hook through the nearby beam, hook the tail and stretch.

Now do the same with the next ray. Repeat until the tail hides completely among the rays.

The snowflake is ready! Enjoy the weaving of all!
