In this article we will share with you the technology of making cute souvenirs and Christmas tree decorations - Christmas angels.

These crafts are simple to manufacture and can be a wonderful present for loved ones on the eve of New Year and Christmas.

Cute Christmas angels - crafts from seashells

To create beautiful Christmas tree decorations, you will need the following materials: several large and small shells (pearls), gold-colored beads, large (or just beads), fishing line, ribbon or decorative cord, as well as hot melt adhesive. In the event that the shells are dark in color, it will be necessary to first apply white, pale pink or blue acrylic paint to them.

The first stage of doing DIY shell crafts is to make the head of a Christmas angel. We take the fishing line and string gold beads on it (5 pcs.), After which we close it into a ring - this is a halo. Next we thread (the tape) into a bead and form a loop (for it you can hang a toy on a spruce). Around the cord - on top of the beads - glue the halo. Now we proceed to the manufacture of the body: glue a large shell to the bead with the narrower side. It remains only to make wings: we take small shells and glue them on the sides of the body. Tip: if you do not have small shells, they can be replaced with tulle, organza or other material. Everything, your charming Christmas tree toy - - ready! If desired, you can decorate it - for example, attach a bright satin bow to the angel's neck or cover the figure with varnish with sparkles.

Crafts from the shell. With our own hands we will make an original photo frame

  • various shells;
  • beads, beads.

The technology for making crafts from shells is elementary. It is necessary to take a photo frame and paste beautiful seashells in any order on it. You can also decorate the product with beads and beads. Show your imagination and decorate the frame as you like. If desired, you can add to the shells and marine inhabitants from salt dough - fish, octopus. At the end of the work, you can cover the decor with acrylics and varnish, giving a special shine and significantly extending the life of the product. In addition to photo frames, you can also make panels and paintings as a gift to your family. As you can see, easily and quickly, using a minimum of materials, you can make interesting crafts from shells.

Pictures show a wide variety of decorative elements made using this priceless natural material. One has only to show a little patience and perseverance, and you will definitely succeed in creating a beautiful, stylish decoration.

DIY shell crafts: butterflies to decorate the interior

If you want to transform and decorate your home, make butterflies from sea and river shells. To work, you need donax shells (2 pcs. Medium size), mussel shells (1 pc.) And zebrins (1 pc.), Red and black gouache, glue, brush and varnish. The body of the butterfly is made from a large shell of mussels and zebrina shells, gluing them together. On the sides of the body of the insect, identical donax shells are glued (it is desirable that they are white). On the face draw black gouache eyes and glue two antennae (they can be made of wire or bristles). After drying, the craft is varnished.

Everyone is looking forward and awe to one of the main winter holidays - the Nativity of Christ. I want to decorate the house, create something beautiful. It would be a good idea to make a beautiful toy for decorating the Christmas tree - the "Christmas Angel" from natural material, namely, seashells. All shells are natural and have an individual appearance. For this craft, shells need to be selected by color, shape and size. If you like the sea and beach style, then this idea is for you. There is a great opportunity for creative expression and a pleasant pastime. And also, a beautiful angel figure appears to decorate the Christmas tree.

We will show a master class on how to make a Christmas Angel toy on a Christmas tree from sea and ocean shells with your own hands.

For work you will need:

Twine or decorative cord,

Pearl Nail Polish,

Pearl Beads.

First you need to pick up seashells for crafts. They should be white. If they have a beige hue, they can be coated with pearl varnish or paint.

We lay out the Angel figure to pick up the seashells of the right size.

We apply hot glue from the gun to Pecten Albikan.

Glue to the Sea Scallop first one wing of the Pearl shell of Haliotis Assinia, and then the second.

Now glue the White moon shell to the upper part of the wavy conch of the Scallop, the head appears in the Angel.

To hide the junction of the clothes of the Angel and the head, you can glue the small shells of Nassarius bleached.

The hem can also be decorated with small shells with curls.

Now you need to make a loop of twine. Glue the twine on the back of the Angel figurine.

The back of the scallop can be coated with mother-of-pearl lacquer to color the beige spots on the shell.

The back of the White Moon Shell can be sealed with a Kardium shell, so the head will look more aesthetically pleasing.

The head can be decorated with beads to create the likeness of a halo or halo in an angel.

Our Christmas seashell angel crafts is ready, we made it with our own hands and were satisfied with the resulting Christmas tree toy!

Now you can decorate the Christmas tree in a beach style!

We will need:

In memory of a wonderful time spent on the shores of different seas, most of our citizens sometimes bring home whole packages of all kinds of shells, stones and other seafood. It is good if these nautical little things take the right place in your interior, and do not stay dusty somewhere in the corners. And even better, if the marine theme lasts in the winter, in the very winter holiday - New Year. And you can make various decorations, garlands, souvenirs, and even a Christmas tree from shells.

1. It is convenient to use a glue gun - glue is applied precisely and accurately.

2. The basis of the Christmas tree is made of thick paper, folding it with a cone (no more than 25 cm high). From a sheet in A4 format, a 22 cm high cone is obtained. The cone can be made of polystyrene foam. If we want to make a Christmas tree with a leg, then first glue the bottom to the cone (you can glue cardboard for sealing).

3. The Christmas tree foot can be made from the same paper as the base cone itself. We cut strips 3-4 cm wide, tightly twist and immediately glue. It should be a tight leg.

4. Now glue the leg to the tree with PVA glue. The resulting design - the foundation for our Christmas tree - must be stable.

5. Proceed to gluing shells. This is very convenient to do with a glue gun. We start gluing from the bottom up in a circle. It is better to glue larger shells from below, and leave small ones for the top.

So, we got to the very top of the Christmas tree! Now comes perhaps the most pleasant moment. We have to decorate, decorate our man-made shell beauty. And you can decorate it with delicate multi-colored ribbons, garlands, beads, the usual New Year's “rain”. Imagine, create, rejoice yourself and please all loved ones!

Spider Web Balls

We will need:

I suggest you watch my master class on making another Christmas tree made of shells.

1. Let's get started. First, draw a circle on the cardboard. This can be done with any round item on hand. It is not necessary to have compasses, you can do, for example, a round plate.

2. Cut out the circle.

3. Then cut the circle in half. From one half it is necessary to make a cone. We fasten the edges of the circle, as a result, we get a cone.

4. Next, we begin to attach the shells to the cone. Pay attention to how I do it. In principle, you can attach them in another way, this is your business. Unleash your imagination, and you will get a beautiful Christmas tree.

5. Thus, glue all the shells. Apply a lot of silicone glue to the shells. This must be done so that the shells hold well.

6. Then you need to paint the resulting Christmas tree with gold acrylic paint.

Before the New Year, just a little bit remained. Smells of tangerines and fir trees are everywhere, in shopping centers holiday purchases of products and gifts, Christmas markets on the street and local New Year celebrations.

And we, who miss the sea and sails, so want to bring something marine to the New Year's romance. Therefore, we have prepared for you several ideas for decorating the New Year's decoration of the house in a marine style. Moreover, many ideas are easily implemented with your own hands!

1. Nautical-style Christmas balls

As you can see, in order to arrange Christmas balls in a marine style we need:
  1) transparent balls;
  2) a string of different colors (optional), able to crawl into a ball;
  3) sand and small shells;
  4) rope (thicker) and PVA glue.

In order to make a ball, inside of which there will be a rope, it is enough just to stick the rope inside the ball, of course, doing it neatly and beautifully. For a bowl with sea sand and shells, sea salt is also suitable, with different shades. In general, there are no rules for this ball - no matter what you make the ball, it will be unique and not like the others! But with a ball wrapped in rope you will need to sweat a little - here you need sleight of hand, patience and zeal.

2. Christmas tree from the sea shore

Trophies from the seashore littered houses? Or maybe they saw sets of pieces of wood, shells and starfish in the store “ala for home”? Now you can create your own Christmas tree from all this! There are several options, here it will be easier for anyone. It is possible to build on a plank (the one that is lying in the garage or in the country is just useful). There is an option to nail one stick to another with small nails (they will suit different sizes), or, for example, bandaging the sticks together with a twine (here you will need to look for suitable ones). There should not be any problems with decorating such a Christmas tree, go for it!

3. Christmas wreath in a marine style

Although this decoration is not traditional for us, it is still gaining popularity in our country, so we decided to pay attention to Christmas wreaths in a marine style. Here we offer you a variety of ideas that you can do with your own hands if you wish and imagination. Standard for a wreath you will need wire, Christmas tree branches, glue. If you have a non-standard solution (in the case of an anchor wreath), then proceed according to the situation!

How do you like the ideas? Indeed, it is so easy to connect one stick to another, add sails (from paper, for example) and tie a rope on top! Sails can be multi-colored, and from these boats you can make a whole garland by passing a long twine through them. Well, and weaving the sea knot “monkey fist” is so accessible to any person salted with sea water, right? By the way, they can also be of different colors. With shells it’s even easier: a hole (if necessary) and a rope. Shells can be decorated to your taste and color.

To decorate the Christmas tree in a marine style, it is enough to use ideas No. 1 and No. 4. And to enrich it, we need starfish. But where to get them in such quantity? We have a solution! Follow to step 6. In the meantime, we offer you more options for decorating the Christmas tree in the sea.

Starfish is suitable for literally everything: on the Christmas tree, and on a Christmas wreath, and for decoration of the room. In order to make starfish, you and I will have to go back to childhood and remember how we made various crafts from salt dough. Yes, yes, it's that simple! In addition to starfish, you can make anchors, boats, steering wheels from it ... in general, everything you want!

Salt Dough Recipe:
  - 200 grams of flour;
  - 200 grams of salt;
  - water;
  - 100 grams of potato starch (optional).

We recommend using fine salt (for example, Extra). Salty dough is baked, or rather dried, in two stages: first at 100 degrees, then at 125 degrees. This is necessary so that the dough dries evenly. You can decorate the dough in two ways: either by adding food coloring when kneading the dough, or after drying in the oven. If you decide to colorize your creation after drying, we recommend that you first cover the product with white, let it dry, and then decorate it with the colors you want. For painting, gouache, watercolor or acrylic paints are suitable.

7. Marine alphabet

Well, everything is simple! Use the marine alphabet instead of the usual letters. To help you. This idea will complete or complement the design of your home in a marine style for the New Year.

We hope you enjoyed the ideas we gathered and you are sure to use something for yourself. What to put under the Christmas tree to your favorite yachtsman or yachtsman you already know. We congratulate you on the upcoming New Year and wish the next year to be easy, joyful and abundant!

  N. Zabolotsky.

  For a long time, spruce is considered the main symbol of the New Year holidays. Without a Christmas tree, a holiday is not a holiday, and the mood is bad. For several years in a row, I and the children of the Needlewoman Association have been dressing up an artificial Christmas tree with handmade toys. How much joy she brings to the girls!
  Once in a lesson, we talked about summer, shared our impressions. AND
  I remembered the warm sea, the sun, the noise of the oncoming wave. And the shells that I brought from the sea. Looking at their diversity, beauty - I wanted to work miracles.
  By the New Year, I decided to teach my guys how to make a Christmas tree from shells and bring a little unusual joyful mood into the interior for myself and my girls.
  In order to make a beautiful Christmas tree, you need to have patience, because “Patience and work will grind everything”, and “Skilful hands do not know boredom” - the folk wisdom says.

So, let's get to work.
  For the manufacture of Christmas trees from shells we need:
  - Whatman or thick cardboard;
  - PVA glue, glue gun;
  - scissors;
  - seashells of different sizes;
  - a roll of paper towels;
  - gold and silver beads;
  - stand for Christmas tree.

Step 1.   Making the base of the Christmas tree
Turn the Whatman paper with a cone and glue PVA glue. The height of the cone I got 45 cm. You can make the Christmas tree of your desired height.

Step 2   We make a leg for our Christmas tree.
  To do this, take a roll of paper towels. It is long and durable. We insert into the cone, after applying a lot of glue, using a gun. For the stability of our Christmas tree, I took a round stand from the old globe. We fix the Christmas tree leg with hot glue to the stand. The foundation is ready.
  It is necessary to pay attention to safety when working with a glue gun.
  1. Check for serviceability.
  2. Do not plug into an outlet without an adult.
  3. Do not take the plug with wet hands. Be careful!

Step 3   We begin to stick the shells.
  For convenience, we first sort the shells: large, medium, small.
  Using a gun, we apply glue to the shells and glue them around the circle of the cone, using first large ones, then medium ones. At the top we glue smaller ones. In my work I used scallops.
  Our Christmas tree is almost ready! You touch your hands and feel a surge of energy, strength.

Step 4   Dress up the Christmas tree.
  And now the most pleasant moment. You need to dress up the Christmas tree! Here you can show your imagination and use for decoration what is at hand. I took the gold and silver beads, and stuck them between the shells. I glued the largest shells to the round stand.

Step 5   Attach a star.
  And finally, she put a sea red star on the top of the tree!
  Here she is, what a New Year’s beauty! Flashed from all sides with golden lights!

Step 6   Making crafts from other materials using this technology.
  My work was appreciated by all the girls and teachers of our House of children's creativity. The tree took the most honorable place in the office. According to this technology, other New Year trees were made. Students showed skill and creativity. In their work, they used tinsel, banknotes, pasta, plastic spoons, forks and other materials. That's what they did.

I wish you success. Create, go for it! Beautiful things made with your own hands bring great satisfaction and joy.
