Then make pads of music paper or colored and decorate the rim (glue on the blank).

Any certain New Year's silhouette, for example a twig or a bow, will give completeness.

From such a soft foam or polystyrene tube, the same can first be made into a circle, and then decorate it, wrap it with a cotton cloth. After bandage tinsel or use parsley.

And in the middle, hang a snowflake from plywood or

For children of a kindergarten or school, I propose to consider the option of wire and any fabric. Twist the wire into a ring, and then tie strips of fabric of different colors onto it.

You can take a regular satin ribbon and tie bows.

And now, another treasure of chenille wire. This can be purchased at a fixed price or in the department for needlework and creativity.

There is still an option to make the wreath glowing, can you imagine how cool it will look as if.

New Year wreaths from all sorts of things: 15 ideas

I would also like to show you ideas that may push you to the next masterpiece. I really liked the wreaths of balloons, as well as of dried twigs and candied fruits.

But an interesting hack from pop feed, they came up with the same, thanks to the authors for the novelty!

Here in this we see cones and other artificial fruits. It turns out that the wreath was woven from an ordinary newspaper, and after that they simply hid it in an organza and wrapped it in tinsel.

The next work is made of dry twigs and decorated with balls and a bow.

In addition, you can use candles, though then in this case the wreath cannot be suspended, but simply put on a table and used as a candlestick.

Decoration in the form of a wreath of fir cones (detailed master class)

I offer one more novelty that you can easily build yourself from improvised means. Take a look at the photo, all this I'm sure is in your house, especially now, when the winter is in full swing.

First determine the size of the wreath, then draw a circle on the cardboard and on it another one, cut out such a shape, in the form of a ring.

Then tie the ring with tinsel, glue the bumps and tie the bows.

Do it all with a glue gun or regular glue moment. Balls, houses made of plastic also fit beautifully if they are glued to the product.

Then rewind it with masking tape and plain paper.

So that the wreath becomes voluminous and, as it were, magnificent.

Cut the leaf into strips.

Each strip folds several times and make frequent cuts.

Fold the flexible wire in half and start dressing the blank on it, so that a twig is obtained.

Insert the wire into the strips.

Make the necessary number of such branches, for example 5-6 pieces. And from them already decorate the ring.

Glue the cones in a circle and tie a bow.

Here is another example, use it:

New Year's wreath made of felt + patterns

Unusual work may be the product using ordinary fabric. Felt or foamiran is well suited here. The fact is that it is these species that are not strewed and trimmed with scissors easily, just what you need!

Take any round base so that there is a hole inside, as shown here:

Here is such a creation turned out, in our heroine, and you? Share in the comments.

Or you can cut the felt into circles, then fold each in half and again in half and secure with a needle, and then stick on a polystyrene foam base.

In addition, you can decorate wreaths with flowers, because any holiday, even Christmas or New Year is no exception, do not cancel this attribute.

Take the base again and wrap it with burlap or linen.

After each petal, sew with a thread, as if making a recess, and then sew them to the flower.

This is the result that should come out.

And then they ate living branches.

And of course satin or decorative ribbons and cones.

Now turn on the fantasy and decorate the wire with tinsel and balls. Glue all components to the glue using a hot gun. Or if there are holes on the balls of the desired diameter, then just pass them through the wire.

Balls can not even be glued, but simply use threads and tie them to the workpiece.

This is where I finish the post, I hope you liked all the work and it’s not in vain that you ran into this page. Create wreaths for the New Year or Christmas and delight your loved ones with such beauty! See you soon and bye.

New Year is a holiday highly revered in our country. This is a new stage in life, many believe that with the coming of next year, changes must necessarily occur. And they depend on how you spend this holiday. There is even a saying among the people: "as you celebrate the New Year, you will spend it." For this holiday, it is customary to cook many different dishes, to clean the house and decorate it in every way. Even without following the traditions, people nevertheless decorate their homes before this holiday, as decorations are harbingers of the holiday. They create a special atmosphere, create a New Year's mood and allow you to surprise guests with the mastery of the owner. Today we will devote a day to create a Christmas wreath with you hands together.

Decorations are harbingers of the holiday

For the New Year holiday, the wreath will be a great decoration.

Wreaths made from anything

In our country, it is customary to make a wreath as a New Year's decoration. However, it has a certain history and symbolism. This jewelry came to us from Western countries, where it is a symbol of Christmas. And the real name is “Christmas wreath”. It is believed that his invention dates back to 1839, and is attributed to the hands of Johann Hinrich Wijern. A Hamburg theologian, Lutheran raised children from a poor family. With the onset of winter, they often asked the mentor if Christmas was coming soon (and according to Catholic traditions this is December 25th). So that the students could count the days until Christmas, he made a wreath of old wheels, branches from the garden and satin ribbons, and put 24 small red candles and 4 large white ones in it. Every day, the children lit one candle, and on Sunday, along with the little one, they also set fire to a large white candle. So on December 24, the last candle was burned on Christmas Eve, which indicated the coming of Christmas.

This version is the most famous. However, there is information about the ancient German settlements where such wreaths were made before Christmas. The ancient Slavs made such wreaths of ears, hung on the door at the entrance. They considered him a talisman and very revered. But there is no exact data on how these wreaths looked and what symbolism they carried. In ancient times, Ukrainian Slavs, for example, used diduh decoration as a symbol of Christmas. This is a sheaf of straw, which was installed in the corner of the house under the icon. It was considered a talisman, a symbol of wealth, prosperity and the preservation of the family of ancestors.

In modern traditions, the Christmas wreath has lost its symbolism, and is used as a decoration. Often, spruce branches, holly, mistletoe and poinsettia are used to make it. These plants are famous for their ability to stay green all winter. In addition, there is a belief that if two lovers kiss under a wreath of mistletoe on Christmas night, their life together will be full of happiness. So, this decoration is hung over the front door or put on a festive table. In the second case, candles are often used to light them on New Year's or Christmas night.

In general, this tradition is characteristic of Western countries. However, as a decoration we meet him in our country. Only here he does not bear much symbolism, and make wreaths not for Christmas, but as a New Year decoration. They look very attractive. We offer to create this miracle.

New Year wreath has its own history and symbolism

There are several stories of the appearance of the wreath

General principles

Although the Christmas wreath is recognizable in any form, it has its own modification in different countries. So in Scotland we will see pieces of checkered fabric on the product along with spruce branches. American decorations use red ribbons, which supports the traditional combination of red and green for this country. In France we will meet wreaths with an interweaving of dried flowers. We use all the tools at hand. So you can see on the doors of neighbors wreaths of socks, ties, tinsel, and of course traditional fir branches.

For each country, the wreath has its own modification.

The goal for all wreaths is the same, only modifications differ

Red ribbons used in American jewelry

But regardless of their modifications, Christmas wreaths have a common principle of creation. Only the tools and materials used vary, in some cases the number of stages and principles of creation may differ. We divide the work into several stages.

All finished parts of the composition

Glue, thread, tape, wire

We see the main stages of creating a composition. In the process, we will follow them. We proceed to the manufacture of holiday decorations, having examined different types of Christmas wreaths.

Creating a wreath on your own is easy if you follow the instructions

For the wreath, all available tools

Various options

We offer you a variety of options for making Christmas wreaths. You will be surprised what materials are used and how many modifications of wreaths exist. We have already said that the principle of their creation is similar, but only the external design is different. And the ring for the Christmas wreath on the table is about the same for different options. There are two most used types: a basis from a wire and a cardboard. Of course, you can make a circle of paper, wood, polystyrene foam, do not use the basics at all. However, the use of cardboard or wire will help make the product more durable. So, let’s make the foundation for a start.

A wreath can be made of cardboard

Ring for a wreath can be made of metal or cardboard

The use of wire can make the wreath more durable

Ring for wreath

First, decide on the size of the future wreath. It depends on its location. If you plan to decorate the table, remember that it should be neat and not interfere with food, but at the same time noticeable at the holiday.

So, for a start, draw a circle on a piece of paper corresponding to the size of your future wreath. Now cut the amount of wire along the circumference. We calculate its size according to the presented formula:

Where C corresponds to the circumference, n is the mathematical constant equal to 3.14, r is the radius of the circle. You can measure the radius with a ruler and calculate the required wire length using the proposed formula. You can also use another method, and applying the wire to the sketch of the circle to determine the required length. It is even easier to form a circle “on the go” without accurate calculations.

In any case, we decided on the length. Now twist its ends with pliers to form a circle. Depending on what the next layers consist of, wrap another one or two layers of wire, holding them all together. Done.

A cardboard ring is made without blanks. A circle of the required diameter is drawn on a sheet of cardboard. Then, a certain distance from the outer line at four points of the circle is laid aside (so that the inner one turns out equal). According to the marked point, an inner circle is drawn. Now delete it without violating the external. So we only have a bezel. This is the ring for the New Year wreath, on which decorative elements are attached.

Now the base is ready, and with its use we can begin to manufacture Christmas decorations using various materials.

First of all, you need to determine the size of the wreath

It’s much easier to make a wreath on the go, and not to calculate every centimeter

Christmas tree branches

It is worth paying tribute to tradition. The symbol of the New Year, and in the western countries, from where this tradition came to us, and Christmas, is a spruce (New year tree). A wreath of fir branches is perfect as decoration on the door, on the window, as well as on the table.

To create it, use both a wire and a cardboard base. The latter is better to wrap a thick layer of paper to give volume. Now we are preparing the decorative part. Take spruce or pine branches (with short needles), cut them into small pieces, prepare glue, yarn. Additionally, you can use cones, satin bows, artificial berries, bells, etc. But do not overdo it. It is advisable to mix no more than three colors (in our case it is green, red and gold).

Now proceed to the layout. It is carried out in two ways.

Regarding fasteners, you can:

  1. thread branches to the base with threads;
  2. stick them using polymer glue.

The most popular is a wreath of spruce branches.

To decorate the wreath, toys, cones, ribbons are suitable

To create such a wreath, you can use cardboard and wire.

As for the appearance, we make a wreath in the following variations.

  1. "Tousled", arranging the branches in a chaotic order. To do this, they must be short. Put them on the glue so that they stick up. Fill in the blanks and add braid, bumps, etc.
  2. Smooth compared to the first option. To do this, we tie the ring so that the branches are on both sides, and they are attached to the inside of the ring. So they will be directed in one direction (from internal to external), and we will get a relatively smooth and voluminous wreath. For this option you will need flexible and long branches.

In the same way, a wreath of holly, fir or mistletoe is made. You can find it in flower shops, or grow it in the garden. This amazing plant also remains green throughout the year.

The wreath can be made smooth by placing branches in one direction.

By expanding the branches in a chaotic order, you can get a voluminous wreath

Natural materials

Other natural materials that are quite suitable for making a Christmas wreath on a table with your own hands include cones, acorns, nuts, tangerines (dried), berries.

For these materials, it is better to use a cardboard base, tying it with a large layer of paper or fabric (for volume). Fasten most securely with glue.

You can make a wreath entirely of cones. So, paint them the same color, different, or leave a natural brown. Also, cones will make an excellent company for tangerines and cinnamon sticks. Gifts from squirrels - nuts and acorns look good together.

It is better to dilute such compositions in green, using natural green leaves or a few twigs of needles. It will also be good to withstand the entire composition in brown, adding twine or burlap to it.

Natural materials can be used for decoration.

Cones are great for decorating a wreath

For natural materials it is better to use a cardboard base

Fabric and Thread

Speaking of burlap. Use it yourself. It is a great material to create a warm, rustic atmosphere.

Create a wreath using burlap squares. Cut the same squares, modify them as you wish. We suggest folding them up, wrapping the edges, and lapping them on top of each other. So fill the whole circle. Add some greens and a bright bow to the composition.

Another option. Cut a long piece of not very stiff burlap, fold it in half and sew. Then, using a needle and thread, sew in the center of the stitch, collecting the fabric a bit (to make an “accordion”). Here is an airy and light wreath. Use it without a base, or fix the resulting element on a cardboard ring, diluting it with decorative elements (bells, asterisks, berries, etc.).

Introducing the original idea using threads. A wreath of colorful balls. This option looks great both on the door and on the table, symbolizing home comfort and warmth. It is made as follows.

Coil balls of wool of various sizes. The threads should be woven as freely as possible so that the balls are light. Then sew or glue the resulting tangles to the cardboard base in a chaotic manner tightly enough. Tie a small fabric of the same thread. Sew it to several balls and stick the knitting needles. This idea looks creative and adds a special cosiness.

To decorate the wreath, you can use fabric and thread.

This wreath looks very beautiful and gives the room a special atmosphere.

Tinsel and Christmas toys

New Year's tinsel - the material that is in every home, and is a symbol of the New Year. A beautiful Christmas wreath will also come out of it.

Here we will use a wire base. It is enough to wrap it in large quantities with rain to get a voluminous silhouette, and the wreath is ready. Dilute it with cones, acorns, sweets, Christmas balls. Combining several colors of Christmas tinsel, you get a wreath with a pattern that does not require additional elements.

The mentioned Christmas balls, like other Christmas balls, can be used independently. The principle is the same. Fasten them on a wire frame with a thread, and the wreath is ready.

There are still many ideas: use pasta, socks, ties, legumes, clothespins, sweets ... In general, everything that comes to your mind. The main thing is that a festive mood is present in the process of work.

50 photos of ideas for creating a Christmas wreath with your own hands:

The tradition of decorating houses and apartments with wreaths came to us from Europe, where it is very common along with hanging boots in which Santa puts gifts at night and other Christmas attributes. It is not surprising that we also liked the Christmas wreaths, because they are so beautiful and the aroma of the New Year blows from them.

In Europe and America, wreaths are hung on the doors of houses, but since we do not all live in private houses, it is better to place them somewhere in the apartment - hang them on the wall in the living room, above the doorway or put on the table, placing candles in the center. A Christmas wreath can very well replace a traditional Christmas tree, especially if it is made of spruce or pine branches.

Have you ever wondered why the wreath became the symbol of Christmas? In many cultures, the circle is considered a symbol of eternal life. And the green color of the evergreen spruce seems to be its embodiment. Initially, the color of decorations, ribbons and candles was also given great importance: gold and red colors were used, and the candles were purple and pink, which corresponded to the colors of the service during the four-week fast - Advent. Of course, we do not need to adhere to this, even among Catholics, these traditions are rarely followed.

Today, New Year's wreaths have become, rather, decoration. They are made from a variety of materials. You can buy finished products, but many people like to create something on their own, so why not make a Christmas wreath with your own hands.

Wreath Jewelry: Idea List

Below you will see many photos of the ideas of Christmas wreaths with different decorations. And speaking in general, regardless of what the wreath is made of, it is decorated with:

  • berries (real or artificial) - mountain ash, wild rose, viburnum, mistletoe;
  • dried slices of citrus fruits - oranges, lemons or whole tangerines;
  • shells of walnuts and other nuts or whole nuts;
  • fir cones;
  • apples
  • flowers;
  • ribbons of any color or thread;
  • christmas balls;
  • bells;
  • all kinds of figures, including angels, snowmen, Santa Claus, houses, birds;
  • cinnamon sticks;
  • tinsel;
  • snowflakes;
  • sweets.

What materials to use for the base

The most important thing in a wreath is its basis. Use any materials at hand. However, it is best to make the basis of branches, then you can not even hide it with decor. She will look beautiful anyway. In general, they are widely used as a basis:

  • plain cardboard or corrugated, from boxes;
  • insulation for pipes;
  • wire;
  • polyurethane foam;
  • wires
  • tightly compressed newspapers, sometimes they are also wrapped with adhesive tape for a fortress.

We propose to make the basis of such waste material as toilet paper tubes and paper towels.

To make the base of the wreath, you will need a few tubes from rolls of toilet paper or paper towels. Cut them into pieces about 3-5 cm wide. Lay them on the floor to determine the size of the wreath.

Take a thread or wire and collect all the details on it. With a wire, the wreath will turn out to be stronger.

If everything looks confused in the process - it's okay.

Once the mold is assembled, tie a strong knot.

Take the old newspapers cut into strips.

And PVA glue.

Wet the wreath with glue and wrap the newspapers so that they are saturated. You can also miss on top.

Leave the wreath to dry for a day. It will turn out strong enough to withstand lightweight decor. For example, this is an excellent basis for wrapping it with thread or tinsel, securing several small spruce branches.

Wreath: a basis from a heater for pipes

From spruce or pine spruce

And now let's move on to the most interesting - making a wreath. The wreath in the best traditions will turn out from fir or pine branches. It will fill the house with coniferous aroma and will look very New Year's. Branches can be attached one at a time - with twine, hot glue, green wire. And they do it in such a way that the lower part of the branch is covered with a fluffy part of another. You can first tie the branches in small bundles and tie them already in this form to the base.

Look at the master class, here is a step-by-step process of making a wreath of natural spruce branches from beginning to end.

Make a cardboard base.

Draw two circles with a pair of compasses, or use a plate or lid from a pan or pan.

Cut with scissors.

Crumple the sheets of paper and wrap them in a cardboard ring.

If the spruce branches are large, divide them into small branches.

Glue the branches to the base with hot glue.

Glue the wreath so that there are no gaps.

Take real bumps.

Buy artificial twigs with berries.

Still need a bell ...

and red yarn.

Wrap yarn over the wreath.

Put cones on the glue.

Arrange artificial berries in random order.

Garnish with a bell.

Spray artificial snow onto the branches.

The resulting wreath looks completely New Year's, and still exudes a pleasant coniferous aroma.

It is not necessary to use natural branches; artificial ones can be dispensed with. You probably saw spruce garlands on sale. It’s very simple to make a wreath from such a garland.

Replace the branches with tinsel

Visually, spruce branches look like green tinsel. If you wrap it around the base circle, you get a wreath very similar to spruce.

Wreath of deciduous tree branches

Another option is to make a wreath of branches. For this purpose, thin birch, willow branches or vines are suitable. They are twisted into a tight circle and most often wrapped with twine, it matches the color well and is almost imperceptible. A wreath of branches can serve as a frame for decorating needles, rosemary, branches with berries.

Here is a wreath made of vines, decorated with rosemary and laurel.

Make sure that you have at hand all the tools and materials that you will need to make a wreath.

These are sprigs of rosemary and laurel.

Flower wire, twine-wrapped wire, garden nippers, side cutters.

Twist a wreath of vines.

Use a floral wire instead of hot glue, so you can use the wreath again next year with a different decor.

Do not over complicate the wreath. Use several branches of plants, decorations with natural motifs and a bright ribbon - this will be enough.

It is better to use a ribbon with a wire inside, so that the bow holds its shape.

Attach the decor to the wreath.

This wreath is made of birch branches, and no other plants are used for decoration anymore. But this is his charm.

Take 9-10 thin branches - birch or others, for example, a vine looks good in a wreath.

Twist the branches in a circle, fasten with twine. Choose the thickness of the wreath at your discretion.

Gold and red jewelry were chosen for decoration. Yellow and gold, as its shade, are relevant this year.

Wrap a wreath of beads.

Tie up a few Christmas balls.

How to decorate a wreath of branches - photo

Cones as the main decorative element

Do you know how to make a New Year wreath from cones? Here - without tricks. It is enough to glue the base tightly with cones and you will already get a good option. And if you also paint it with spray paint in gold, red, pink or green - whatever you want - and decorate it, then it will work out fine. Look at the embodiment of one of the ideas.

First paint the cones with a white spray varnish. Be sure to lay down a newspaper or oilcloth. Leave it to dry for a while.

For decoration: ribbon for a large bow 5 cm wide, and multi-colored ribbons 1 cm wide for small bows. Colors to your taste, artificial berries, bells, Christmas toys without a holder.

We will make bows for decoration. Sew two loops and tie them together. Cut excess.

Glue a small piece of ribbon of a different color with hot glue in the middle of the bow to make the middle and close the knot.

Decorate the bow with rhinestones.

Make a big bow according to the same instructions.

Draw a ring on the cardboard. A pan can serve as a stencil, a plate. Cut the workpiece.

Take the twine and fasten the tip with hot glue to the cardboard ring.

Patiently wrap the ring with twine without gaps. Fix the tip again with hot glue.

Glue the bumps so that it looks as natural as possible.

Decorate the wreath with bows, bells, toys.

Wreaths of cones look unusual and beautiful, you can see this by looking at a selection of photos.

Openwork wreaths of cones: photo selection

Lots of paper ideas

When at hand there is neither fir spruce tree, nor branches, nor cones, they also manage with paper. And interesting products are obtained. Some of them are not inferior in beauty to wreaths made of natural materials. You can create from paper with children, it does not prick like a tree, it is convenient to work with it.

It’s easy to make a New Year’s wreath of cardboard and crumpled paper.

Cut a circle out of cardboard, an old cardboard box from some kind of technique will do.

Cut corrugated paper into pieces of approximately 10 × 10 cm. How many parts are needed depends on the size of the cardboard ring and the “terryness” of the wreath.

Remember the pieces with your hands and stick on a cardboard ring.

Arrange the parts tight enough to each other so that there are no gaps.

Cut a strip of crumpled red paper, twist it with your fingers, as shown in the photo.

Decorate the wreath.

This option is a great idea for recycling old brown paper. New, of course, is also not forbidden to use. Such wreaths are also made from book or magazine pages, scrap paper.

Prepare wrapping paper.

For the base, cut the ring out of thick paper or cardboard.

Cut a lot of wrapping paper. Evenness does not matter, although you can use a template if you want. It will take about 70 leaves.

Glue the leaves to the ring as shown in the photo. If you use different paper, do not forget to alternate patterns. If there are leaves left, you can stick them in places that seem empty. Make a loop of twine or ribbon, wrap it around the wreath and thread the ends through the hole. You can hang a wreath.

For the manufacture of this beautiful wreath, 6 packs of 12 balls in each and several other ornaments lying around last year, also of red color, were used. The wreath will be collected on a frame made of a hanger. Such sell, for example, in Auchan. In addition, you will need a tape, wire and pliers.

Give the hanger a circle shape as much as possible.

Unscrew the wire with pliers.

Align the tip with pliers as much as possible.

String the balls one at a time.

Move them as close as possible to each other so that the wire does not peep between them.

Continue to string the jewelry, let them be located at different angles.

Soon it will look like this.

If the jewelry does not hold well on the wire, fasten it with hot glue.

Keep stringing balls.

When all the balls are already strung, twist the hanger again with pliers.

Here's a wreath.

Take the wire ribbon.

Wrap it around the hook a couple of times. Secure the back with tape or hot glue.

Sew a few loops of tape.

Tie a bow with another piece of ribbon. For reliability, a drop of hot glue can be dripped inside.

We make New Year's attribute from fabric

Fabric wreaths look very beautiful. The manufacturing technologies used are very diverse, the same wreaths are obtained unequally. We presented three options in the form of master classes, but there are actually many more.

For example, small ribbons or strips of fabric are tied tightly to each other on a wire frame.

Stripes are cut from the fabric and the edges are stitched together. The resulting "covers" are stuffed with synthetic winterizer.

Cut strips of fabric of arbitrary length and width. Keep in mind that as a result of all the manipulations, the width of the finished strip with sintepon will be about four times less than the original. Fold a strip of fabric with the right side facing inward and sew on the sewing machine. Make transverse cuts from the side of the seam, not reaching it a little, so that the fabric then does not pull anywhere.

Turn to the front side.

Fill it tightly enough with a padding polyester, holofiber or any other soft filler.

Sew the edges of each soft ribbon, and then join the three ribbons together and fasten their edges.

Weave a pigtail out of ribbons.

Tie the edges together and sew on your hands.

Cut and sew a small length of tape as shown in the photo to hide the seam.

Now let's make a bow. It will be bilateral, i.e. red on one side, white on the other. Sew the edges diagonally.

We turn out. There is no need to fill the tape.

And the fabric is laid with folds. It keeps due to the tight fit of the layers to each other. The following example shows how to create a wreath from burlap.

To make the frame, purchase a galvanized knitting wire. Cut the pieces in the following sizes: 130, 115, 100 and 85 cm.

Connect them in this way by bending the tips with pliers.

Cut a few more pieces of wire, fold them several times, slip them under the frame, bend to the front side and fix the inner and outer rings in this way.

Loose ends wrap around the inner rings. Align the frame.

This wreath is made from burlap. It needs to be cut into strips.

Fix the tip of the strip with hot glue or a piece of wire, or tie it. Move the strip of fabric to the jumper, the jumper should be on the left hand. Release pleats at every gap. Twist the tape, move it to the jumper and repeat the steps starting in the same direction - from the inside to the outer edge. If the tape is over, fasten it, as well as the initial tip.

Here's an interesting-looking wreath.

Decorate it with Christmas toys, lace decorations, artificial twigs.

Almost out of waste

The idea of \u200b\u200bcreating a New Year’s wreath from materials that we throw away in ordinary life is especially attractive, because you don’t have to spend money on them. Who would have thought that from plastic bottles you can create a decent-looking Christmas wreath. You won’t immediately understand what it is made of.

Cut bottoms from plastic bottles and paint in the color you want. Make the cuts exactly in the place shown in the photo.

Bend the corners on both sides of the notch.

These are the pieces you should get.

Combine the “flowers” \u200b\u200bfrom the bottles, turning them over each time. Remember to make a hole in the center of each part.

String the parts onto the wire.

Decorate the wreath with bows.

How to suspend a decorative element

It’s not enough to make a New Year’s wreath, you still need to hang it, if you specially conceived it for this purpose. It is better to choose a mounting method in advance. It is unpleasant if it turns out that the wreath was too heavy and double-sided tape, for example, does not hold it. Then you have to drive a nail, and this is not always possible. In addition to double-sided tape, they use hooks on the suction cups, hook the wire for the door peephole, acquire special ring fasteners that are worn on the door from above, tied on a ribbon to the handle on the back of the door.

Create Christmas wreaths, guided by master classes, be inspired by photo ideas and come up with your own options.

Before the arrival of guests, everyone put things in order in the house and hang decorations. And among all the garlands, candles and gifts, of course, a special place is occupied by the Christmas wreath. It can be hung on a door or wall, placed on the center of the dining table.

In stores on the eve of the holidays you can see a large selection of wreaths of various designs: with ribbons, balls, candles. But for it to be truly special and unique, and also cost much cheaper, make it yourself. How to make a Christmas wreath with your own hands? Very simple!

Here you will find step-by-step 5 workshops on making a Christmas wreath. Choose which one you like more: from balls, spruce, pine, from cones or even from a grid.

To begin, let's look at how to make a traditional Christmas wreath of spruce, which can then be fixed to the front or interior doors.

Instruments:

  • straw wreath form (size optional),
  • balls (must match the wreath in size: with the increase in the base of the wreath, the size of the toys also increases),
  • decorations in the form of twigs with red and zloty beads, a red ribbon on a bow, pine cones (large and small),
  • spruce branches (thin so that it is convenient to bend them),
  • several other twigs (e.g. pine),
  • scissors, floristic wire (preferably green),
  • red and gold decorative flower (three pieces each).

Put everything on the table and get to work.

TIP: This form can be made independently from dry grass and cling film. Additionally wrapping with tape.

Step-by-step manufacturing

STEP 1: Making the base of the branches

  1. First, make a base of pine branches. Spread them in the same direction, for example, counterclock-wise, let the ends of the branches be on the right, and lay the soft tops of the branches to the left side. Attach them to a straw wreathWith a floral wire around, tie down to the base.
  2. Keep adding more branches around the shape.
  3. Look there are no empty spaces, fill in all the gaps with smaller branches.
  4. So far, he looks a bit disheveled and sloppy. Wrap a little more wire around to pull off all the large branches that stick out.   The wire should hide behind branches. Now we have a uniform magnificent wreath - the foundation for further work.

Step 2: Decorate the Wreath

  1. Now add a few other twigs (in the same direction as the pine branches), distributing them evenly over the wreath.
  2. Attach a red bow. You can do without it, then the view will be more festive.
  3. You can add small pine cones if they were not on the branches themselves.
  4. The color distribution should be symmetrical (so that it doesn’t turn out that all the red jewelry is in one place, otherwise it will look like a red spot). Divide conditionally the wreath into 4 parts, in one of them there is a bow, and in the other three add a branch with red beads.

In principle, it already looks good and you can leave it that way, you can finish it.

IDEA: Or, hang the wreath first in this form, and add ornaments in a week, so the wreath will definitely not get bored for the holidays

Step 3: add more decorations

  1. For contrast, attach a few twigs with golden beads.
  2. We fix the pine cones: wrap the floral wire around the cone closer to its base, attach to the wreath, fixing it well in place. Make sure the wire is visible, as less as possible. At this point, you can also stop, or continue to add balls.
  3. Attach three balls, taking into account the same conditional division of the wreath into four parts
  4. Add three red and three golden decorative flowers.

You did it! It turned out a wonderful Christmas wreath, it remains only to attach it to the door to please yourself and your neighbors!

How to make Advent Wreath

Following the just described operation scheme, you can also   create Advent Wreath.

By tradition, there are four candles on it: the first was lit 4 weeks before Christmas, each next Sunday they lit one more, so it was clear how the holiday was approaching.

Now a wreath of this type can be made with traditional considerations and for decorative purposes. In any case, it will help create a festive atmosphere.

So, let's get to work:

  1. We create the basis of the wreath from the branches, add small pine cones, as in the previous case.
  2. Fasten with hot glue gun candle holders  (preferably with sharp pins at the bottom to insert into the wreath between the branches, but the usual ones will come down as well), insert the candles into them.
  3. We decorate the wreath with large cones and decorative flowers (two red and gold colors).

ATTENTION! Do not leave such a wreath unattended with candles!

Workshop No. 2: Wreath of balls

To make such a wreath, you most likely will not even have to go to the store for materials. After all iron clothes hanger and Christmas balls  almost everyone has it. So choose the time to work and go!

You will need:

  • 1 wire hanger, Christmas balls in red (the quantity depends on the size of balls that you have at home),
  • pliers, wire cutters (optional),
  • bow ribbon
  • sprigs of pine or Christmas tree (or garland),
  • wire or strong thread (preferably green).

Step-by-step execution:

Step 1:

  • Use a pair of pliers to give the hanger a round look. Do not worry if it is not perfectly smooth, the balls will cover all the bumps.
  • Unscrew the hanger, that is, disconnect it at the attachment point under the hook.

  Step 2:

  • Place the balls on the wire. If its end is too sharp or uneven, cut it with wire cutters. After all the balls have been strung, bend the hook with pliers to secure the circle.
  • You don’t need to hang balls from above, near the hook, since there will be a ribbon and coniferous branches in this place.

Step 3:

  • On top of the wreath on both sides of the hook, attach the branches (tie them with wire or thread).
  • Make a ribbon bow and attach it under the hook.
  • All is ready! There’s even a hook right away, all that’s left is to hang!

Master class 3: A wreath of cones

A Christmas wreath of cones is very simple to perform, but its main advantage is that it is stored for a long time and does not crumble, unlike a fir wreath. It can be stored until the next New Year.

  Materials:

  • Dry cones from 30 or more pieces, depending on the diameter of the wreath
  • The basis for a wreath (if there is no photo as finished, cut the torus out of thick cardboard)
  • Glue gun.
  • Decor at your discretion.

Work order:

Stage 1: Putting the First Round

  1. Using glue gun we fix the cones to the inside of the torus or circle.
  2. Inward is best to fix smaller cones.
  3. The distance between the cones is -1-2 cm. You should not attach them closer. You can even 3-4 cm.

Stage 2:

We do the same thing, but already on the outside of the circle of larger cones. Distances between them - 3-4 cm.  They should lie freely - not overlap each other.

  Stage 3:

  • And now fill the middle row  - he’s kind of should be on top  internally and externally. You can mount the cones not vertically upward, but slightly guiding in different directions, filling the voids.
  • We make decor with twigs of berries or live spruce.

TIP: If you add a garland on top - it will be even more spectacular!

Master class number 4: From pine branches

“Simple and tasteful” is the most appropriate phrase for this manufacturing method. Christmas greens and a minimum of decorations. but nevertheless, when you look at the door with such a wreath, it immediately becomes clear that a truly festive atmosphere reigns here!

Materials:

  • thick wire wreath shape,
  • greens (real or artificial pine branches, other conifers are also suitable),
  • cones, wire (for binding branches),
  • glue gun
  • small bells
  • ribbon for bow.

ATTENTION! When choosing the length of the mold from the wire, keep in mind that after attaching the branches, the wreath will increase in size several times.

Manufacturing steps:

  1. Take some coniferous branches and n attach them to the mold using wire.  First, fix the ends of the branches, then wrap them around the wire several times, wrap them with wire. Thus wrap the entire base.
  2. Make another ball of branches  on top of the previous one, in the same way. You should get a uniform coniferous wreath.
  3. Attach a few bumps.
  4. Add 3-4 bells  golden or silver color to create a festive mood. Fasten with an adhesive gun.
  5. Make a bow from the ribbon and attach it to the wreath.

Each time you open the door, you will hear a quiet ringing of bells and understand that the holiday is in the air around!

Master class number 5: Wreath of decorative mesh

With this wreath you will definitely surprise all the neighbors! This color hemisphere will not leave anyone indifferent; at one glance at it, a smile and a sweet anticipation of the holiday will appear!

Materials:

  • round base for a wreath of wire,
  • a decorative grid in rolls about 50 cm wide (several colors combined among themselves),
  • fluffy decorative wire.

TIP: If you do not have such a base for a wreath, then you can cut it out of thick cardboard with a torus thickness of -10-15 cm. Then the mesh can be fixed using a needle and thread or a glue gun.

Manufacturing steps:

  Step 1:

  1. Cut off   approximately 25-30 cm  mesh and roll it into a roll. Squeeze in the center with your fingers. To make it more convenient, you can take someone as an assistant to keep the packages.
  2. You will need a lot of such rolls, they do not have to be exactly the same in length.

  Step 2:

  1. Group 4 rolls togetherconnecting the centers, and bandaging them in this place with fluffy wire. Leave the ends of the wire to attach to the base.
  2. Tie each such part to the base of the wreath  (the remaining ends of the wire). They should be tight to each other, leaving no free space.
  3. Continue until the whole place is full.

Done! It turned out very colorful and festive! If you wish, you can hang a toy on a wreath so that it is in the center. But look, do not overdo it so that it doesn’t work out too much, because you need to know the measure everywhere.

In the end, I want to note that here are some ideas for making wreaths. And there are really a lot of them! After all, it’s worth replacing a small detail, making your own amendment and you get a new unique copy! Turn on imagination and create!  Connect the whole family to this process to make the process even more interesting and enjoyable!

Merry Christmas!!!

Designer Wreaths 2019

In 2019, vertical wreaths are included in fashion, which are not mounted on the wall, but on the ceiling, like a suspension. The principle of assembly of the wreath is the same as described above. BUT

  • You can place candles on top of them.
  • Add Hanging Elements

Fantasy no chapel. The main thing was to hang it on the ceiling!  If your chandelier is not very good, then you can just place it under it.

Last weekend at a round table in a cozy cafe gathered people who are not indifferent to the New Year and floristry. The creator of the flower shop Aquamarine Flowers Alina Martynova told and showed how to make a beautiful New Year's decor: a wreath of natural fluffy spruce, the aroma of which filled the whole room. In this article we will not conceal a single important detail, so it will not be difficult for you to create your own wreath at home.

DIY Christmas wreath: h then you need and where to get it

The main ingredient is canadian spruce. It does not crumble, but dries up: the wreath calmly hangs the holidays, and the next year it will be better to replace the branches. The Canadian spruce has large and not prickly needles, so working with her is pleasant. In Moscow, branches can be purchased at the Riga market, there is also a diverse decor with which we decorated the wreath.

Next you will need wreath base. If you like a fluffy wreath, then the appearance of the base is not important - it will be covered with branches. In this case, you can buy a foam circle in the store for creativity or at the Fair of Masters. You can make the foundation yourself: cut a ring out of cardboard, and wind a crumpled newspaper or wrapping paper on it with tape on one side to create volume.

There is another type of base - made of twigs. They are sold at the same Fair of Masters (in florist shops they can be, but not for sure). This foundation does not have to be completely covered with branches, it is beautiful in itself.

Need the following instruments:

  • thin wire of black or green color (less convenient options are fishing line or durable thread),
  • scissors and pruner
  • glue gun.

And of course decor. Here you are limited only by imagination, but we used:

  • bumps
  • cinnamon sticks
  • coconut shell stars
  • christmas balls
  • cotton,
  • dried oranges
  • tapes.

Buy several colors or manually paint them to make your wreath look brighter and more festive. Oranges, by the way, are not as easy to dry as they seem, so you can buy them (like cones if you live far from the forest) in specialized stores.

Base stage

Cut large branches of the spruce tree into smaller paws — it is easy to determine the desired size by attaching the branch to the base. These branches will need to wrap the base with wire. The wire is best suited because it holds the structure well together, even if you release a loose branch. Due to the properties of the wire, the wreaths after winding can be additionally formed by hands, if the shape is not perfect.

Tie the wire to the base, then attach one or more branches (usually three optimally to cover the front, outside and inside of the ring) and wrap it around. Try to guide the wire between the branches, and not on top, so that it is less noticeable.

Add new branches, sticking their tips under the previous ones, continuing the winding. If there are gaps, do not worry - you can after add branches where they were not enough. If you wrap the entire wreath in a circle, move clockwise - this arrangement of branches is considered the most harmonious and positive. After completing the winding, tie the wire onto a knot from the wrong side of the wreath and cut it (if you wound it with a spool in your hand).

Critically examine what happened. With the help of new portions of wire, add branches where they were not enough, or tightly stick up the sticking branches if they get out of the idea. The branches can be easily moved with your hands, the design will not suffer: our wreath after winding turned out to be slightly oval, but a simple compression from the sides and the displacement of a pair of branches was enough to correct the situation.

The wreath is ready, it remains to decorate it!

Wreath decoration

The main decoration tool is a glue gun. Plug it in and let it heat. During this time, select the decor elements and harmoniously place them on the wreath. Here Alina gave some universal advice:

  • There are two approaches: to form groups of elements, and then fill in the voids between them, or evenly distribute the elements one by one throughout the wreath.
  • You can create groups from objects of the same type, the same shape, or the same color — one or the other must coincide.
  • Groups with three objects each look best.
  • In groups, it is better to have connecting elements so that they are assembled into a composition: for example, the same object or color will be present in all groups.

  • Avoid arranging groups with an equilateral triangle.
  • The main thing is to try to do without the effect of “eyes” - two identical or very similar objects symmetrically opposite each other. It will seem that the wreath is looking at you - we are serious. In this case, it is enough to place these elements diagonally - the effect is lost.
  • Do not be afraid to place identical objects in pairs if it seems harmonious to you.
  • Rely on your sense of beauty.

Gluing the elements to the wreath is very simple: squeeze a little glue on the back of the decor, press it to the right place on the wreath and hold it a little. The main thing is not to try to stick on the air between the branches - we checked it does not work. Try to warm the decor a little into the branches: this way it looks like a part of the wreath, and not lying on top, and it sticks better.

The last step is to decorate the wreath with ribbon, if you want. You can tie a bow directly on the wreath, or you can make it separately and stick on top, like the rest of the decor. The tape can be fasteners in order to hang a wreath on the wall, or it can be a purely decorative detail. Then you need to make a loop of wire on the back of the wreath.

It remains the last - a test of strength. Lift the wreath and shake it - if nothing falls off, then you worked with a glue gun to the glory, and the product will not suffer even if you slam the door on which the wreath hangs. If it falls off, repeat gluing.

By the way!You can not only hang a wreath on a wall or door, but also put it on a table or chest of drawers, putting in the middle a composition of candles or a vase with tangerines.

Happy New Year to you!
