Autumn spoils us less and less on fine days. In cold rainy weather, both adults and children want warmth and emotional communication. Of course, the best way to spend time with your child in a fun and profitable way is to engage in creativity. And it doesn’t matter if you didn’t have time to pick up cones, acorns, and other autumn tinsel, because in the bins of a thrifty housewife there will always be a handful-second of pumpkin seeds.

In the hands of an experienced craftsman, pumpkin seeds turn into material for real works of art. It’s not worth asking a lot of little fidgets - a small decorated applique is already a feat and, undoubtedly, a reason for pride. The task of the parents in this case is to prepare the seeds for work and offer the crumbs a few ideas.

How to make crafts from pumpkin seeds for children with their own hands?

If we assume that you have stocked up seeds in advance, then it remains to decide on the idea. The complexity of the work depends on the age and skills of the young master. Crafts made from pumpkin for children look brighter and more creative if the seeds are pre-painted in different colors. In addition, then the child is easier to generate ideas and implement them. To color the seeds, you need to fill them in a plastic bag and add a little food coloring there - this is the safest and fastest way to stain. Ready bright seeds need to be dried, and only then get to work. The simplest crafts, of course, applications, can cope with such a task even the restless preschoolers can do. The essence of the work is as follows: a drawing is applied on a sheet of paper or cardboard, preferably with large segments, then each area is smeared with glue and seeds are laid out alternately. According to this scheme, kids can make a wide variety of compositions, autumn landscapes, images of animals, birds, flowers. If the child does not like to work with glue, plasticine will be an alternative to the latter. In this case, a small layer of plasticine is applied to individual segments of the pattern.

Volumetric crafts are considered more complicated in execution, of course, they look much more spectacular, moreover, such masterpieces perfectly cope with the function of room decor. For example, from flowers made from pumpkin seeds, you can collect excellent compositions in vases, original paintings and panels. There are several ways to make “pumpkin” flowers: you can glue seeds together using a glue gun, you can glue seeds on a cardboard circle, plasticine will become a reliable tool for the smallest and most inexperienced.

Below we will show you what wonderful autumn and thematic crafts from pumpkin seeds for children can be done with your own hands, and we will offer a diagram of how to craft a basic pumpkin flower step by step.

In winter, when the window is cloudy and cold, it’s nice to remember the summer, the flowers giving us a unique aroma and beauty. And I want to do something that will pleasantly surprise and delight friends and relatives. In boxes on the shelf are seeds of plants, vegetables, flowers dried in the summer. They melt in themselves the warmth, light and smell of summer. The idea of \u200b\u200bcreating a composition of seeds comes. Creating paintings and crafts from natural materials is a special kind of creativity called floristry. In floristry works, dry leaves, flowers, herbs, seeds and fruits of plants, and tree bark are used. A variety of forms of natural materials themselves often prompt interesting stories. By fantasizing, imagining, combining natural materials, you can create amazing things with your own hands.

Today I offer a master class on making flowers from seeds.
  Look at the seeds of pumpkin, melon, watermelon. What do they remind you of? Of course the flower petals. Try to collect these petals into beautiful flowers. Here's what happened.

To compose a seed composition, the following materials and tools will be required:
  - frame, blue fabric;
  - thick white paper;
  - pumpkin seeds, buckwheat;
  - dried corn leaves, straws;
  - birch bark;
  - scissors, gouache paints, brush;
  - glue "Titan";

Step-by-step execution of a bouquet of natural material.
  Prepare the frame. Remove the glass and pull the fabric onto the cardboard or glue a sheet of colored paper.

  Mark circles with a diameter of 2-3cm, 4cm, 6-7cm on hard paper and cut them out. I used jars of different sizes.

  At the edge of the circle, apply glue "Titan" and glue the pumpkin seeds. The flowers turned out.

  Mix the yellow paint with a little PVA glue and gently paint the petals. Let dry and apply colorless nail polish.
  Then grease the middle of the flower well with glue and sprinkle with buckwheat.

  While the paint on the petals will dry, let's make leaves. We will make them from the leaves of corn. (The leaves of corn were ironed, dried under pressure in the fall).

  Take the straws for the twigs.

  Make a vase. Let your imagination run wild. A vase, for example, can be made: from paper sprinkled with small seeds; from dried leaves; from straws. We will make it from birch bark. Take a thick cardboard, fold in half, draw a vase and cut it out.

  Cut the birch bark into thin strips. Lubricate one edge of the vase with Titan glue and glue the birch bark strips horizontally.

Start binding. Consistently weave all strips vertically into the workpiece, fixing them at the ends with glue.

  Cut long strips along the contour of the vase. Glue the edging. The vase is ready.

   We form a bouquet. Glue the vase, then arrange the twigs - straws.
  Start filling the bouquet with leaves. First, the background, and then the foreground, giving the composition the desired shape and silhouette. Lightly palm the leaves through the paper. Leave 2-3 sheets raised. This will create volume.

  Glue the flowers. Place large ones below, smaller ones above, and buds at the top of the bouquet.

But such forget-me-nots from the seeds of watermelon were made by my pupil Ulyana.

As you know, the cozy atmosphere in the house develops various little things - lamps, vases, paintings. Do-it-yourself things give a special charm. And for your own creativity it is not necessary to use expensive materials. Take a look around - there are many objects that can be used for various kinds of decorative things. In particular, natural materials - the best option for crafts: and exclusive, and environmentally friendly, and cheap. Pay attention to crafts made from watermelon seeds. Every family loves the largest berry - watermelon, and seeds are usually thrown away. And if you collect and dry them, in your hands will be valuable material for, say, a three-dimensional figure, picture or application of watermelon seeds. And if you frame these crafts, you will get a wonderful gift or element of interior decoration at home. And to make it easier for you, we will bring to your attention several workshops with ideas on the decor of watermelon seeds.

Panel of watermelon seeds

To make the picture you will need the following materials:

  1. Watermelon seeds. We also recommend using other seeds - sunflower, melon, pumpkin, then the overall composition will look advantageous.
  2. Clay "Crystal moment".
  3. Bottle caps.
  4. A piece of birch bark.
  5. Frame.
  6. A sheet of cardboard and the remains of wallpaper with a natural background.

So, we proceed to the implementation of the picture of watermelon seeds:

Crafts from watermelon seeds: casket

A real work of art is obtained from an ordinary jar with a lid and the same watermelon seeds. So, for work you will need the following materials:

  • watermelon seeds themselves;
  • a jar with a lid, glass or plastic - any that is found in the household;
  • hot melt adhesive or “Crystal instant” glue;
  • aerosol enamel;
  • tweezers;
  • piece of tissue paper:
  • scissors:
  • needle with thread.

This is how easy it will turn out to be a real masterpiece - a casket for all sorts of details - sewing accessories, jewelry, memorabilia. Inside, the craft can be neatly covered with cloth or foil.

Autumn pampers us with its delights: fruits and vegetables. We regale and throw away everything that remains, but some things, such as seeds, do not need to be thrown away. See how you can use them.

It is better to do the panel on a dark background if you use light seeds and vice versa. I have a piece of cardboard painted with black acrylic paint.

We will draw the inner contour of our panel and begin to lay out a pattern that suits our plan. I chose a spikelet: after all, autumn fantasies.

Here we laid out the inner frame and proceed to lay out the flowers at the top of the panel.

We take pumpkin seeds and make the outer layer of daffodil petals out of them.

Then, from the seeds of the melon, we make the inside of the flower, do not regret the glue, put several seeds of sea buckthorn or another plant inside.

So we will look like a bouquet of daffodils and buds.

To them we add small flowers from seeds of sweet pepper.

We will make a vase from small pasta - shells, but you can show your imagination and make it from birch bark or pistachio shells.

Let's make an outer frame from the same melon seeds and add to the bouquet flower stems and leaflets, as well as a butterfly. Such a natural picture of flowers turned out, but there is no limit to perfection, and I decided to paint the work to give it brightness.

This is how the stalks and leaves of pasta look like, but you can also use grass blades. The leaves of daffodils painted white paint inside yellow. I also wanted to make small flowers white.

Here is a panel turned out after painting and you can compare them and make the one you like more.

Seeds

Seed   - A special multicellular structure of complex structure, which serves for the reproduction and distribution of seed plants. Outside, the seed is covered with a seed peel that protects the inside of the seed from drying out and mechanical damage.

The smallest seeds weigh 0.001-0.003 mg, and Seychelles palm seeds reach their maximum size, weighing about 20 kg.

Many organisms (from fungi and bacteria to birds and mammals) feed heavily, and sometimes exclusively, on seeds. Seeds form the basis of the diet of such animals. like some insects and their larvae (for example, reaper ants), granivorous birds, rodents (chipmunks, squirrels, hamsters, etc.).

The basis of the human diet since the emergence of agriculture in most regions of the world also consists of seeds, primarily seeds of cultivated cereals (wheat, rice, corn, etc.). Seeds also serve as the main source of vegetable oils that are extracted from seeds of sunflower, rapeseed, corn, flax and many other oilseeds.

Seeds   - A wonderful material for creating decorative products, as they are very affordable natural material, there are usually a lot of them, and seeds also have a very diverse form and texture. And this means that you can make many different crafts from them.

Master Class

Master Class (MK) - this is the transfer of their professional experience by the master (teacher), his consistent verified actions leading to a predefined result.

To publish a master class, the work must be copyright (invented and made by you). If you used someone else's idea, you must specify the author. (The link to the source should not lead to a site containing sales of goods or services, since links to commercial sites are prohibited in accordance with clause 2.4. PS).

Your master class should not completely duplicate an existing one in the Country of Masters. Before publishing, check through the search that there are no similar MKs on the site.

The process should be photographed in stages (see Tips for photographing crafts) or filmed in a video (see how to upload a video).

Design procedure: the first photo is the finished work that is proposed to be performed, the second photo is the materials and tools necessary for the work (or their detailed description), then the MK stages from the first to the last. The final photo (the result of the work) can repeat the very first. Photos should be accompanied by clear and competent comments of the process.

If you have already published your MK on another site and you also want to publish it with us, then you need to follow all the rules for registering MK as described above. In other words: in a record with type MK you can’t just put a photo of the finished product and a link to the master class on another site.

Attention: all master classes in the Country of Masters are checked by the site’s helpers. If the requirements of the Master Class section are not met, the record type will be changed. In case the User’s agreement is violated, for example, copyright is violated, the entry will be removed from publication.
