Decoupage key holders master class. Decoupage of the key keeper: tips, ideas, technology Key holder wall-mounted do-it-yourself decoupage

There are words that become for us for some period of time our slogan, our life credo. But there are eternal words that turn in our hearts whole layers of principles, rules, visions, changing our view of familiar things. It is very logical to always have such words in front of your eyes, reminding yourself of the most important. At one time, verses from the 13th chapter of the first epistle to the Corinthians of the Apostle Paul made a great impression on me and brought just a revolutionary revelation of true love ...

And now I want to offer you to make a decoupage of a housekeeper with these words. When entering and leaving your home, these words will always be in front of your eyes, asking the heart the correct vector.

To perform the decoupage of the key holder, we need:

Acrylic primer
  Acrylic lacquer
  Acrylic paints
  Water stain
  PVA glue
  Napkins, decoupage card
  Billet
  Water-based decorative impregnation for wood
  Brushes
  Scissors
  Screwdriver
  Sandpaper
  Patina
  Scotch
  Pressure roller
  Stencils
  File folders
  Iron
  Hardware

Decoupage key holders

1. To begin with, we just need to purchase a blank of the desired shape, desired style, etc.

2. Thoroughly inspect and sand.

3. In my blank, I tape the place where the decoupage card will be and the sides that I want to decorate with a napkin motif.

4. The drawer is treated with stain.

5. We do the same with all the workpiece except for the glued place.

6. After complete drying, we sandpaper the convex areas of the workpiece with sandpaper.

7. We get a light effect of scuffing, vitality, and vintage.

8. We do the same with the drawer.

9. Choose the appropriate pattern.

10. And stop your choice on scrolls and seals.

11. You can already remove the masking tape.

12. And prime the central place under the card and sidewalls.

13. Pre-paste over already frozen places.

14. We will also decorate the reverse side, so we need to remove the hinges and prime with white acrylic paint.

15. Soak the decoupage card, cropped and sized to fit our “window” in the key holder.

16. We cover the decorated surface with decoupage adhesive.

17. I even upload decoupage cards to a file, although they are much stronger than napkins, but it’s more convenient for me to work.

18. Using the ruler, we center our map.

19. And press it through the file, expelling air bubbles from under it (it is convenient to do this with a rubber construction roller).

20. Varnish and dry.

21. We select monograms for sidewalls ...

22. ... and the back of the housekeeper.

23. To work with a napkin motif, you need to separate two white layers and use a colorful one.

24. Using the file method, glue the sides of the key holder. Put the napkin with the pattern down on the file.

25. Fill with water.

26. Smooth out wrinkles and bubbles with a fan brush.

27. We remove the excess water by sharply lifting the file with a napkin motif above the tray.

28. Try on the decorated surface.

29. Press.

30. We remove the file.

31. We coat with decoupage glue.

32. Using pearl enamel and a porous hard sponge, we will fill the space around the card. Previously, it must be painted over the ground with bronze paint.

33. It is necessary to collect enamel on a sponge quite a bit - it should be almost dry.

34. We get the effect of cracks, poured.

35. You can also use bronze paint over the pearl enamel again to muffle the nacre.

36. It turns out not so bright and more aged.

37. Using a stencil, decorate the box of our key holder.

38. Create a stencil sponge: a piece of sponge tightly weave to a twig.

39. We apply bronze paint through a stencil.

40. We make one more stencil drawing inside the drawer.

41. We turn to the back of our product: lubricate with PVA glue the surface under the napkin.

42. Apply the top layer of the napkin.

43. Cover with parchment paper.

44. Iron with a minimum.

45. Varnish (better with aerosol varnish, but the cloth will get wrinkled when wet).

46. \u200b\u200bWe tint the sides and the back with diluted brown acrylic, as the white background is strongly knocked out.

47. We varnish the entire product.

48. To do this several times with good intermediate drying.

49/50/51/52. We fix the accessories to your taste and discretion and you can already admire your masterpiece.

Decoupage key holders: decor items with their own hands (photo)

Decoupage key holders: decor items with their own hands (photo)

Probably, every person, at least once in his life, constantly loses the keys to his house or car. Or more than once, it happened to you that in your apartment you cannot find a bunch of keys, and this is all because you don’t have a key keeper that reliably protects such important items from loss.
  Options key holders presented in the store often look monotonous. But there is a method to create with your own hands the original housekeeper, namely, to decoupage the housekeeper. Such a necessary interior detail consists of wooden elements with metal hooks, on which, in fact, the keys are hung. Decoupage of the key keeper of the master class will demonstrate how to do it right.

Housekeeper

This master class (mk) will demonstrate how a housekeeper is made that looks like a house and is decorated using decoupage technique. For this, such accessories are needed:

  • wooden blanks similar to a house and metal hooks;
  • acrylic lacquer;
  • varnish with 3D effect;
  • acrylic paints, suitable colors;
  • pVA glue;
  • decoupage cards;
  • craquelure.

We prepare, with our own hands, the blanks for the housekeeper, namely, we rinse them and degrease them with alcohol and leave to dry. Then, paint these components with acrylic paint. When the first coat dries, apply the next tier of paint. We paint over everything except for hooks that are easy to wipe with a solvent.

  In order to make decoupage housekeepers house, choose
  on a hunting topic. In any case, we advise you to choose drawings suitable for your home interior. For beginners, we recommend that you use cards, and if you are an experienced master in this matter, then use napkins with an image you like.
  Attach the drawing to the key holder and draw outlines. Using a pencil and a ruler, circle them so as not to stray from the course.
  Cut the workpiece along the planned lines and try on the key holder.

  Prepare a container with warm water and lower the selected pattern into it in order to soak it.

  While your card is soaking in water, coat with PVA glue the entire surface of the key holder, as in the photo.

  Place the decoupage card on a plane by gluing it evenly.

  For our drawing, acrylic gouache of golden hue is best suited. It covers the roof of the crafts and the bar on which the metal hooks holding the keys will be located.

Two hours later, after the paint dries, apply a dense layer of craquelure to the surface of the main subject. The most important thing is to do it evenly and in one direction.
  After some time, when the previous material has dried up, we apply a paint contrasting to the first tier.

  The next stage, which the master class (mk) conducts, is the application of acrylic varnish, in one layer, until completely dry. And then, paint over one more time.

  Now, a very interesting point. We begin to apply a dark shade to the paint, and observe how large cracks form. Give time to the key keeper, dry thoroughly, and in the meantime, apply golden paint to some elements of the picture, to highlight them more. Look at the photo how it looks.

  This master class (mk) continues, and work begins with 3D varnish. In this picture, there is an image of some fruits, cover them with bulk varnish, as well as a gun and a glass. In conclusion, we will cover with the same varnish the resulting cracks along the edges.

  This wonderful and interesting master class is over, look what decoupage the key holders turned out.

How to decorate perpetual calendar

This unusual thing made using decoupage technique will become a non-trivial part of the interior of any room. How to create it, you can find out by repeating this master class (mk). Component materials can be made by any man, and if this is not possible, then purchase the goods in the online store or where goods for needlework and creativity are sold.

  In order to conduct the presented master class, such accessories are needed:

  • wooden components;
  • paper with mini drawings;
  • acrylic paint and the same varnish;
  • brush;
  • decoupage glue;
  • sandpaper.

This perpetual calendar will have a strict form, if there is a great desire, turn its edges into curly products.

  First of all, black paint the entire perpetual calendar. The advantages of acrylic paint is that the workpiece, before that, does not need to be primed. The design should dry, and then strip its edges, with sandpaper.

  Cut out square shapes from paper, the scale of which will be slightly smaller than the faces of the cubes.

  The cubes are pasted over with drawings, but from different sides, the images are different from each other.

  The date and name of the month is carried out using ink and a stencil, or print them on photo paper. Cubes will be represented by a date, and on the lower bar, a month will be visible.

Paste the frontal, back, and side edges with special paper. Attach a small clothespin to the front side in order to be able to change the image of the pictures. If your household has a festive date, you can put his photo as a reminder.

  Having mastered the perpetual calendar, you will get the opportunity to create analogues in different styles in the future, for example, the perpetual calendar in retro style, it looks very interesting and touching.
  Take a look at a few examples.

Ancient banknote

If you want to surprise a man with an unusual gift, then make a decoupage with your own hand. It will be an excellent present, and most importantly very necessary, which is important.

  So, in order to repeat this master class, some materials are needed, which are sold in each specialized store:

  • sandpaper;
  • decoupage cards;
  • primer;
  • medium antique;
  • acrylic paints;
  • decoupage glue;
  • acrylic varnish;
  • craquelure;
  • brush and washcloth.

We proceed to the first stage of the master class, namely the priming of the entire surface of the bill, and after it dries, we skin it.

  Cut out the desired pattern so that its scale matches the size of the cover. Soak the card in warm water, and after that, remove excess layers of paper.

  Glue the seamy side of the image and attach it to the lid of the bills.

  Using acrylic shades of bronze and gold, paint over the bill using a simple washcloth.

  As you can see, such an accessory is very easy and simple to do with your own hands. It will not take you much time, but the result will pleasantly please the person to whom such a thing will belong.

Decorate a wooden comb

Before you buy a comb, we choose it for a long time. We want her to be of good quality, and what is important, beautiful, with some kind of pattern or pattern. But often, combs of the same type and same color. In this article, you will learn how to make your own hands an exclusive comb with a unique ornament, and even using the decoupage technique. Decoupage combs, it will take you a little time, but the expected result will amaze you, no doubt.
  We will need materials that are in almost every home, and if not, they can be purchased everywhere. The following list is needed:

  • wooden comb;
  • white acrylic paint;
  • a napkin with a selected ornament;
  • decoupage glue;
  • yellow acrylic gouache;
  • acrylic lacquer.

First of all, the wooden comb will be covered with a white base, which is applied to the entire surface, except for the part where the teeth for combing are located.

  The paint should not be a thick consistency, then it will easily lie on the surface of our subject. It will be applied using an ordinary washcloth with which dishes are washed. Pour a little of this liquid into a small container, dip a sponge into it and lightly apply it to the plane of the object.
  It is advisable to apply the solution several times, giving time, after each layer, for drying. Each tier dries for 4 hours.

  Now, move on to the crest decor. The master class recommends choosing napkins with the image of a flower bouquet.
  Using scissors, we cut out those patterns with which you have decided. Separate the extra layers of paper and leave only the color print to be used.

  We attach the selected clippings to the comb using decoupage glue. Put the workpiece on the outside of the comb and brush with glue. The craft should dry for 6 hours.

  When, such a thing is completely dry, in the circle of the pattern, yellow acrylic gouache is applied. It will dilute the faded look of this accessory and make it brighter. Again leave to dry for four hours.

  After all the manipulations done, cover the decoupage comb with varnish. It is applied with a brush, broad form and protects the surface from unwanted and not foreseen scratches, and also gives a beautiful shine. Now, the work is finished, and the product remains to dry, for 8 hours.

Everyone can make decoupage of various small items. Even the person who never did this. The main thing is not to forget the technology algorithm with decoupage cards or napkins. We must not forget to fix each creation with varnish, so that it does not lose its attractiveness over time.

So, in order to make a decoupage of a housekeeper, you need to cook:

  • a wooden blank, namely a house;

  • decoupage glue;
  • matt varnish;
  • fan-shaped tassels;
  • sponge
  • light primer;
  • stationery file;
  • scissors;
  • texture paste.

We will begin to study the decoupage of the housekeeper whose master class is equipped with step-by-step photos.

At the first stage, the wooden house is sanded and primed with several layers of primer. After drying the product, sand it.

After that, take a clerical file and lay out the image on it, with the picture to the bottom. Dampen with water and carefully, using a fan brush, smooth out all the formed folds, moving from the middle to the borders.

Now, the file with the picture rises and is applied to the wooden surface of the key holder, placing the motive on a plane with glue applied. Next, take the roller and go through it on the file. Pay particular attention to the edges of the picture. Then, carefully remove the file and let the product dry.

Together with the border, carefully remove with your own hands (you can use a knife) excess tissue. Fill the borders with a light color. After waiting until the key holder is completely dry, apply several layers of varnish with a matte effect.

At the next stage, MK begins to decorate the housekeeper's house. For these purposes, a structural paste and a brickwork template are taken. You need to glue the roof. Before this, paint over the side cuts. Next, using a palette knife, apply a paste that gives texture.

After allowing the paste to dry, apply a little glitter, as well as silver paint to the bends of the paste. Excesses are erased with their own hands and also along the edges of the house. Cover the house with varnish, dry and attach the key mounts.

Here is such a wonderful New Year key holder presented in the photo, you can succeed. In addition, such a product can be temporarily used as a holder for Christmas socks with gifts.

Decoupage perpetual calendar in the style of "Provence"

The next MK will tell you about the decor of such an interesting interior item as the perpetual calendar. Decoupage with the theme of the old French style “Provence” was used to decorate it. Such an object with the effect of antiquity will certainly become the center of attention in your home.

So, to decorate the perpetual calendar, prepare:

  • wooden perpetual calendar;
  • themed napkin;
  • acrylic-based paints characteristic for: white, lilac and purple;
  • paraffin candle;
  • sand paper;
  • two-step;
  • decoupage glue;
  • varnish in the form of a spray matte shade;
  • different brushes: flat, round and thin;
  • violet oil-based paint.

First, prepare the surface. Mix the necessary shades of paint (they will look through the shabby areas) and apply them to the entire base. After that, leave the perpetual calendar to dry.

At the next stage, a candle is taken and with its help the borders and some areas of the surface are rubbed. White paint is applied on top. Leave the product to dry.

It was the turn of decoupage. From the prepared napkins with their own hands, the desired motive breaks out. The upper layer is carefully glued to the perpetual calendar with special glue. The direction of movement of the brush in this case: from the middle to the borders.

Having given the plane to completely dry, the process of decorating the perpetual calendar with a two-step craquelure begins. To do this, at the initial stage, the first step is applied with a rather dense layer, which will dry from fifteen to thirty minutes. The next step is to apply a varnish of a more liquid consistency. Cracks should form in twelve hours.

  Please note that the density and uniformity of the applied layer will allow you to get cracks of different sizes. Further, the cracks are rubbed with oil-based paint.

While drying the craquelure, you can do the decoration of cubes, as one of the main components, without which it is not possible to imagine an eternal calendar. The templates you like with numbers and fonts will help you do this. You can also draw cubes with your own hands. Here you can give free rein to your imagination, taking as a basis the photos that are presented in this master class.

Such an eternal calendar will serve you for more than one year. Having picked up other interesting images for him, you can make your own unique thematic product.

Men's bill holder with decoupage

Another lesson will show you the decoupage of the bill holder. This craft is a great gift for men. To create such a product, you need to take a blank under the bill and sand all surfaces. After that, cover them with a walnut-based water stain.

The blank cover is covered with light colored acrylic. Acrylics of a golden shade and emerald color, as a tone, are applied along the edges of the bills.

After that, a prepared image is taken, printed using a laser printer and sealed with overlap using tape. Further, the adhesive tape carefully comes off step by step, thereby thinning the image. Having achieved the desired effect of the pattern with gaps, cut it to the shape of the lid.

Now, the product cover and the prepared thinned picture are coated with PVA glue. The motif is superimposed on the surface, leveled and covered with a film. It remains to take a rubber spatula and carefully drive out the air bubbles and excess glue.

Take acrylic based varnish and apply it over the entire surface of the bill.

The next stage of MK will be the decor of the item with craquelure. At the first stage, step number one is applied (this workshop uses Maymery 753). Wait until it acquires a transparent texture and apply the next step 754 across the starting line. Be careful, you will need to smoothly and clearly cover the entire surface. Please note that the size of the cracks will depend on the thickness of the applied layer. Thick layering will allow you to get large cracks. Leave the process done to dry for several hours. After that, according to the cracks formed, you will need to rub the bronzian in the dark areas and the black pastel - in the light. You can do it yourself.

The second craquelure step is washed off with water. Direct a stream of water to the surface and lightly walk on it with your own hands.

After thorough drying of the craquelure, varnish based on acrylic is applied to the lid of the bill.

An interesting decorative element in the denomination can be symbolic signs with currency symbols. They are printed on ordinary office paper and cut out. So you learn a pattern that can be applied more than once.

Having prepared such a stencil, using a brush, you will need to fill the characters on the back of the product cover.

The final step will be to cover the bills with several layers of acrylic varnish of a semi-matt shade.

In the photo, you can view the finished result from different angles.

Decorate a wooden comb

At the end of this article, I would like to introduce you another master class that will show decoupage combs. This cute little thing is sure to become one of the favorite accessories that adorn the table of any fashionista.

To prepare the comb for the decoupage process, it is necessary to shade its plane. To do this, you need to consistently apply layers of gold mastic, craquelure varnish and after drying cover the surface with white.

Pick an interesting decoupage motive. Here you can use your favorite pictures, prints, napkins or decoupage cards. After that, the desired image is cut out and the upper color drawing is separated. Place the obtained parts on the comb to determine the places of their fixation.

Next, with careful movements, using an elastic brush and varnish, attach the drawings in a plane. As always, in decoupage, you need to move from the center to the borders. Freeze images are dried. To speed up the process, you can use a hairdryer. But, if you're not in a hurry, let the pictures dry naturally.

To give the product additional grace, you can make interesting gold contour lines in random order, as in the photo.

Since in the end, for this comb a vintage decor is conceived, it is necessary to get rid of the golden brightness of the dried contours. To do this, they are shaded with whitewash, rubbed in the area among them. It will turn out an interesting texture.

Ready decor is dried and covered with several layers of varnish.

In such a simple way, you will get a beautiful comb with interesting decorative elements made by yourself.

A few more years at the word housekeeper, perhaps, no associations would have arisen - today, many people dream of acquiring this fashionable little thing. Firstly, the keys remain in one place, and are not lost. Secondly, this item can be made in any particular style, emphasizing the style of the hallway.

The key keeper by itself can look like anything: it can resemble a window with beautiful flaunts, a picture, a photo frame. If you want something cheerful in the interior of the hallway, this, for example, will be a housekeeper with sunflowers. If you want to do something amazing, it can be a volume decoupage with Sicilian lace.

But the most preferred idea today, perhaps, is the housekeeper. She really looks very pretty, and will be a good gift for any occasion. So you just need a wooden blank in the shape of a house, and you can make hooks and decorate your key holder with your own hands.

Wall key holder: house, decoupage

The technique is simple, especially if you have already worked in decoupage. In fact, you make a panel that will also serve as a place to store keys. Masters usually work on wooden workpieces, plastic and metal are less common.

You will need:

  • Wooden blank house;
  • Metal hooks;
  • 3D effect varnish;
  • Acrylic paints of the necessary colors;
  • Decoupage cards;
  • PVA glue;
  • Craquelure.

If necessary, sand the house, rinse, and degrease with alcohol. Then paint the future key holder with acrylic paints. After the first coat is completely dry, you need to apply the next tier of paint. Everything is painted over, except for the hooks.

What decoupage cards will depend on your ideas. Someone more like the theme of hunting lodges, someone - a vintage theme or a bird in an openwork cage. There are no strict restrictions.

Attach the cut-out drawing to the key holder, draw the contours. You need a pencil and a ruler, the contours need to be circled so that you do not forget where and what will be glued. The blank is cut along the intended lines, a fitting is done on the key holder.

House: decoupage key holders, master class

Next, you need to prepare a container with warm water, lower the selected picture into it. This is done in order to soak the picture. In the meantime, the drawing is soaking in water, with PVA glue, you need to anoint the surface of the key holder.

Then act like this:

  • The decoupage card is placed on the plane, gluing it evenly;
  • The roof of the crafts and the bar for the hooks can be covered with acrylic gouache;
  • Wait a couple of hours until the paint dries, after which a craquelure is applied to the surface, this is done in one direction;
  • After a certain time, after drying of the previous layer, paint is applied, contrasting with respect to the first tier;
  • Then with one layer you need to apply acrylic varnish - until completely dry, and then paint over again.

And then you begin to apply a dark shade of paint, watching how large cracks appear. Let the key holder dry thoroughly, and then some elements of the picture can be highlighted with golden paint. Some fragments can be distinguished by bulk varnish, cracks along the edges are covered with the same varnish. The result is a very nice key keeper, and your keys will always be in the house. The work is worth it.

What are suitable for the key keeper decoupage pictures

This is not to say that the choice is limited by something. You can make a housekeeper, for example, in the form of a large keyhole or in the form of an umbrella. And you can decorate such an object with images of children walking in the rain or a curious kid peeping into a keyhole.

The craftswomen especially like the vintage theme - the images of golden-haired babies, angels, retro cars and cute patterns characteristic of the era of real glamor, that's what is always interesting to do with decorative material. It turns out a thing from ancient times, as if in a beautiful nostalgic haze. The main thing is that she does not resonate with the situation.

Original pictures for decoupage key holders

You can do this as well - process your personal family photos in a special photo editor, styling retro. It turns out that the heroes of the vintage housekeeper are you. Only in an unusual form. You can make the main character of the image on the dog housekeeper, again, using the services of photo editors.

The key keeper with the image of your favorite place — your native village, seaside town, and why at home — will be exactly cute. All this from a photograph can be transferred to special paper, and the memory of your favorite corner will always be with you. And if you make such an object for a gift, then definitely try to please the subject - how much attention and warmth is in such trifles.

Where to get a key holder blank for decoupage

You can, of course, cut such a housekeeper yourself, but this is with experience and tools. In stores for needlework there are definitely such instances, and, as a rule, they are inexpensive. It can be a banal wooden blank for painting. And having hooked hooks to it, the key keeper will turn out.

You can also:

  • Order the manufacture of blanks from the masters, if you take several blanks at once, they will definitely throw off the price;
  • Find a blank on sites for needlework;
  • Such blanks can be sold in departments for drawing and creativity in department stores and bookstores.

And you can make a thing more interesting and more complicated - this is a key keeper with a door. As you might guess, the keys in it are hiding behind the door. This accessory will be a surprise.

Features decoupage key holders with door

You will get such a box, like a chessboard, which is upside down. So they are fixed on the wall, opened, and inside the hooks and keys. It is necessary to decorate both outside and inside.

For the manufacture of such a key holder, the blank itself, a printout, a stencil, white soil, acrylic paints, pastel, craquelure pair, acrylic varnish, and skins are usually needed.

A significant feature of such a key holder can be volume patterns that are made using a stencil. An adhesive-based stencil or whatever you like can be used. In another, the decoupage process will not be much different.

Always pay particular attention to scuffing. From the protruding parts of the key holder, you need to wipe the paint with the rough side of the sponge. Slightly dampen the sponge. But do not overdo it, otherwise you will erase the dark paint, then the color of the scuffs will not be so convincing.

Decoupage of the key keeper: master class (video)

Decoupage of a housekeeper is an opportunity to make an original gift for loved ones, or to start transforming your own hallway. Try to do something interesting, and maybe decoupage on the key holders will be your skate.

Good results!

Since one picture and several important words are allowed before kat, here is a watch for you.
And under the cut, you will learn how to make key holders from old chopping boards and such a watch.
For this you will need: old cutting boards / or new blanks from the store /, acrylic paints, varnish, brushes, foam sponges, a palette, paper serving napkins and patience.

It so happened that I studied decoupage myself. There were no master classes, there were no classes or lessons, I did not even have anyone to ask how this is done. And it was a pity to spend money on someone’s master classes. \u003d))) Therefore, several years ago, I nigfachivaet decently cones. It is good that there was an art school behind us, where they taught us to understand wood and all kinds of varnishes, putties, paints.

1. I also don’t like throwing away old things. Absolutely. Moreover, I love to pick up everything that is lying around the corners of other people's apartments. Now in the form of experimental rabbits, I had three "tired" boards for cutting products. If you have extra money, then you can go to an art store and buy blanks that are quite expensive. But also not interesting \u003d)

So, we have wood blanks that are saturated with fat. The first thing I did was wash and dry them. Next, just walked in the sandpaper. And immediately varnished.
About varnish: varnishes are oil, nitro and acrylic. For the primary coating of such wood, you can take acrylic or nitro-varnish. This is done in order to seal grease and any indelible dirt in the board itself. The same applies to things from old wood from time to time, covered with stain or paint incomprehensible to you. Because further the product will be primed with white paint, and all sorts of stains, if you do not cover the surface with varnish, will crawl out to white.

2. Somehow they brought me such a stool to the master class, they really wanted to restore it. There was not enough time, the varnish stank strongly - I just missed this moment, deciding that only the primer was enough. As a result, yellow and brown spots of old age began to appear already on the decoupage. I had no choice but to redo everything myself - on the prepared soil and decoupage I applied three layers of nitro-varnish, each of which lasted several hours, then primed again, made decoupage and varnished again. This was a lesson to me on all things that were being restored.

3. So, if the wood is not new, then it must be varnished. Which I did.

I do not give a photo of the varnish, because in each construction store you will find different varnishes, you do not need to know the brand that I used. So, you need nitro or acrylic colorless varnish. And a flat hard brush. Cover the item 2-3 times, with drying of each layer for 2-3 hours.

4. We will prime with white acrylic. I have the paint of the Polish brand "Snowball". I buy white latex-acrylic paint for bathrooms and kitchens. It is waterproof and antifungal.

If you do not plan to use it in the future, then you can buy acrylic primer in a small jar in an ordinary art store - you have enough for your eyes. It is not necessary to buy a liter bucket of Snowballs.
But! In thin. Store acrylic primer is not waterproof usually.
So, take your soil and roller / with a brush, but the coating will turn out to be inhomogeneous and often with brush marks / and cover your product. I cover from all sides, because the back of my product should also look aesthetically pleasing, and not like a garbage board \u003d)

5. While everything dries, select compositionally drawing. At first I bought packs of napkins. Therefore, I have accumulated so many of them. Now I just go to the art store and buy 2-3 of the most liked copies.

6. Chose.

8. Then I carefully scrub out only the picture element that I need from the common napkin.

9. We arm ourselves with a soft flat brush and PVA glue, which I usually dilute with water in a proportion of 70/30. Attach the drawing, dip the brush into the diluted adhesive and begin to disperse this adhesive with soft movements from the center of the napkin to the edges, trying to avoid wrinkles and creases. In fact, they will. It will only disappear when you start to feel the napkin - how much more you can pull it so that it does not tear. But it will come with practice.
And one more thing: all napkins are divided into two categories. The first - stretch like chewing gum, sometimes stretching for a few centimeters. The second - burst into snot, as soon as glue gets on them.
And yet ... no need to buy special glue for decoupage. PVA and water - that’s all you need / unless you work on the fabric /.

That’s what happened when I glued the napkins to the basics, and everything dried up.

10. Now we need to make a background. If you use not a solid picture, but several elements, then you need to combine them with paint. I take the same acrylic primer and pigments. You can use regular watercolor paints instead of pigments. They wonderfully color acrylic.

11. Take a palette, drip acrylic on it and start mixing colors. For me it usually looks so unpresentable.

13. I take a dry sponge to several colors and begin to fill the background with glistening movements. If the colors on the sponge mix with each other until the color is dirty, then wash my sponge, dry it and repeat again. And this is the result.

There is a little trick. Violet, red, orange, carmine, emerald, burgundy, scarlet colors can put you a pig with further varnishing. They sometimes become really poisonous and float with such bright fluorescent spots on neighboring territories. Therefore, if you work with these colors, add a drop of PVA glue to them, it will “bind” them a little, and then they will not change their color when coated with varnish.

14. And take a closer look.

Nitrolac from an ordinary hardware store, its volume is 1 liter. It costs half as much as 50 ml of decoupage varnish in an art store. But they can only cover the tree. I cover the product 2-3 times.
If the product then needs to be actively washed, then in addition to acrylic or nitro-varnish, it will be necessary to coat it with alkyd or oil varnish two more times.

16. And now I had in my hands three almost finished products. I decided to make two key holders and a watch.

To do this, I needed a husband who screwed my hooks all week, drilled a hole under the clockwork, and so on. And then I came and quickly did everything out of anger in an hour.
When Sasha screwed the hooks for the future housekeeper, the board cracked.

17. I had to glue this flaw and disguise it like that.
Took a satin green ribbon with white peas and glue "Moment".

18. And that’s what happened.

19. Here the key keeper is ready. Both.

20. The clock. It seemed to me a little napkin is not enough and I added the inscription Bon Appetit, glued small glass on the same “Moment” as a number plate.
