Paper fish craft for children. Paper fish craft. Shell - summer craft for children

Children in kindergarten and primary school make crafts from different material: natural and waste, plasticine and salt dough, from cereals and polystyrene foam. Works can be created from strips of paper using quilling and tearing techniques. During production, children learn the properties of materials and give objects a second life. Working with their hands, kids learn to create and develop logical thinking and fantasy.

In the article we will look at what materials can be used to make a fish craft, and we will tell you step by step how to do such work with a child at home.

Volumetric fish

To make such a craft - a fish - you need to take a square of colored paper, preferably double-sided. Next you need to bend the sheet in half diagonally. In the resulting double triangle you need to cut off all the corners. The shape should be trapezoidal. Then the folded sheet is unfolded back and cut on one side into thin strips to the level of the fish’s head. This moment must be determined by eye. But about two-thirds the distance from one end to the other. There should be three cuts at the top and three at the bottom.

Then all that remains is to correctly fold the strips in pairs and glue them together in the center. This procedure begins from the middle of the fish-shaped craft. The two central strips are first crossed, and the junction is lubricated with glue and pressed firmly until completely dry. Then work continues with the second and outer strips. When all the parts are glued together, the fish itself acquires volumetric form. All that remains is to complete the small details: eyes and mouth.

Fish from plates

Very large and colorful fish crafts are made from disposable paper plates. Turning the product over reverse side, you need to apply gouache paints to the main background. While the plate is drying, let's start making the tail. It is made using the accordion folding method. Take thin double-sided glossy paper, and carefully leveling each line with your finger, fold it to the end.

Then you need to fold the accordion in half and smooth the fold line well. The internal parts are coated with glue and glued together. The result is a triangular accordion tail.

The next step is to assemble the craft - the fish takes shape. To prevent the tail from falling out of the plate, it must be securely fastened there. Since it is upside down, there is empty space inside. From the back of the plate, where the tail will be located, you need to cut out a few centimeters of the rim to give the “accordion” exit. The inside edge of the tail is also coated with glue and attached to the plate. All that remains is to draw the eyes and mouth. Instead of scales for this fish, you can stick on pieces of torn paper. Then the body drawing will be voluminous, and the craft will be more interesting.

Weaving method

The paper “Fish” craft can be made using another original method. The interweaving of multi-colored stripes is often used in working with paper. Let's see how to do it step by step. First you need to cut out the shape of the future fish. To make the body symmetrical, you need to draw the contours of the body on paper. First, cut the tail into a trapezoid shape and fold the rest of the sheet in half. Before cutting you can with a simple pencil draw the necessary contours.

You need to make cuts in the middle of the fish's body with scissors, but not all the way. Take a close look at the photo with the manufacturing master class. At the end of the work, all that remains is to insert the multi-colored strips into the slots, threading them through one.

Their edges are glued pointwise at the end of each row of weaving. Then you can do it in different ways. Cut the remains at an angle to create fins, or you can cut them to the shape of a fish. Finally the eyes and mouth are made.

Quilling method

To perform this work, you need to purchase a set of quilling strips in two colors at an office supply store. If you don’t have a special hook, don’t worry, any thin stick will do, like the back of a paint brush. The body of the fish is done by twisting the strip freely, without strong tension. If one piece is not enough, you can glue the next one to the end and continue winding.

When the desired volume is reached, the edge is glued to the last turn with PVA glue. The ring is carefully pulled off the stick and slightly pressed on both sides with your fingers. The body shape is ready. Now apply glue to the plane on one side and, carefully pressing with the whole palm, glue it onto a sheet of cardboard. Next work goes on the fins. You need to make four of them of the same size. The manufacturing method is the same, we will not repeat it. When all the parts are ready, we begin assembly. That’s it, the “Fish” craft is ready. Below are a few more ways.

Plasticine craft

The easiest way to make fish is from plasticine for children. Let's see how easy it is to make Nemo using this plastic material. First you need to take a large piece of orange and make the basic shape of the body. This is an oval and a triangle for the tail. Next you will need two colors for the bright black and white stripes inherent in this species inhabitants of the ocean.

First, a black stick is made by rolling it out, then it is flattened and applied to the body of the fish. When all three flattened strips have found their places, we do the same with white plasticine, only the parts are taken smaller, so that when the white strip is placed on top, the contours of the black one can be seen from the sides. At the end we make an eye and a small side fin.

Crafts made from salt dough

Fish can be sculpted from dough mixed with salt. The body is given the shape of a pointed oval. The mouth is cut with a knife. Fins are also made using a knife or cutting with scissors. And to press through the scales, take a cork or a small glass, only one edge is pressed in.

The process is reminiscent of modeling from plasticine, only after production the product will have to be baked in the oven over low heat. When the product is completely baked, you can start coloring the fish from the dough. The craft turns out to be original, and there are a lot of options for creative ideas. To make the work smooth and bright, at the end the craft is coated with acrylic varnish.

Creative success!

Print Thank you, great lesson +4

A paper fish is one of the most simple crafts using the origami technique and if your child is still unfamiliar with this type of creativity, then perhaps start with this photo lesson. Only one square sheet– and your baby will have a new paper toy or even a decoration item that will fit perfectly into a sea or summer theme. When the child can freely and easily make such a craft, move on to new ones, mastering all the subtleties and secrets of origami.

  • Black marker
  • Square shaped sheet of paper

Step-by-step photo lesson:

Place the square in the shape of a diamond. We overlap the right side with the left.

Let's reveal.

Fold the top of the square down. Let's expand.

Now let's place the sheet in the form of a square. Bend down.

Let's expand.

Then you should bend the sheet of paper in half to the left.

We open it and get 4 auxiliary folds, which will help in the future to fold a beautiful fish.

Bend the square sheet in half and press the sides together with your fingers.

It turns out like this triangle.

We bend the first layer of the lower triangle upward at a slight angle. The first fin is ready.

Now bend the top corner. We overlap the first fin made.

We turn the craft over and get a finished paper fish using the origami technique. You can use a marker to add eyes and beautiful patterns on the surface of the body. Since it has a flat shape, it can be used to decorate a postcard, album or even a room by gluing it to interior items with double-sided tape.

Video lesson

These beautiful fish can become a decoration for a child's room if you hang them on strings from the ceiling or from a chandelier. Then they will sway at the slightest breath of wind, as if floating on the waves. And also, by making several fish out of multi-colored paper, you can teach your child simple counting. Despite this a large number of photos, this craft is simple, and even a preschooler can handle it. And his mother can help him a little with this.
To make such a fish, you will need a square sheet of colored paper. Fold it in half diagonally.

Unfold and connect the other two opposite corners diagonally.

Unfold the piece of paper again, turn it over to the other side and fold it in half horizontally.

Now fold vertically and unfold. You will get something like this.

Grab the opposite corners of the square and connect them to each other and to the bottom corner.

You will get a folded square like this.

Fold the two lower sides towards the center.

Bend the top corner down.

Unfold the edges of the square.

Open the resulting “pocket” to a horizontal fold.

Fold its edges inward along the marked lines.

You should end up with something like this.

Bend the moving parts of the workpiece upward.

Fold the sides of the shape in half.

Turn the figure over with a “trident” down and bend the middle part up as much as possible.

Return it to its original position and bend it to the right, aligning the side and horizontal fold.

Unfold and align the left side with the new fold.

WITH right side bend the part to the same width.

With two fingers, grasp the corner of the workpiece and bend it upward. This is part of the ponytail.

Turn the future fish over to the other side so that the tail is on the left.

Bend the triangle in the middle from left to right.

Turn the craft over from left to right to the other side again and fold the shape in half vertically. The larger part of the diamond will cover the tail, and the smaller part will become the head of the fish.

We would like to show you a master class of a very simple and beautiful fish that can be made from colored paper. The fish turns out voluminous.

How to make a paper fish

Fish can be absolutely different sizes, but they are all made from a rectangle in which one side is twice as long as the other. How to implement this in practice? Very simple. First cut out a square. We bend it in half so that we get 2 rectangles. Cut along the fold line.

Each rectangle will make 1 fish (that is, the square is enough for 2 fish). Fold the rectangle in half along the long side. We cut on one side along the bias, on the other we get roundness.

Let's expand. We make cuts for weaving the ponytail.

We place the strips on top of each other one by one and glue them at the intersection point.

The fish is almost ready.

We draw the eyes of the fish and decorate it at our discretion. Now you can stick these fish on a sheet of blue paper, glue paper algae and we will have a very beautiful aquarium. What if the whole class or group gets together? kindergarten, and make a lot of these fish, it will be an excellent and impressive group craft!
