MK dolls are textile. How to sew a doll with your own hands: patterns, master class. How to sew a beautiful fabric doll: instructions for beginners. Patterns of textile French dolls

Hello!

Well, oh well ..., this is all the lyrics ..., let's start sewing! (I hope you stocked up tea)

We will need:

1. Fabric for a face (tinted calico, cotton or flesh-colored linen) I use tinted calico;

2. Fabric for the calf and ears: fleece and cotton of two or three colors. (the main thing is that the fabrics are compatible in color);

3. Any filler (synthetic winterizer, synthetic winterizer, holofiber) I use holofiber for fleece parts, and for cotton synthetic synthetics, I will explain why;

4. Acrylic paints or threads (floss, iris, etc.) for the face;

5. Pastel pencils or ordinary shadows, for a blush on the cheeks;

6. Accessories, ribbons, ribbons, beads, etc., in general, the most pleasant little things, for decorating and completing the image of the doll;

7. Sewing supplies: tracing paper, threads, needles, tailor's marker or chalk, centimeter, scissors.

Let's start with the pattern. It can be printed on a sheet of A4 format, but I always translate the patterns directly from the monitor screen to the tracing paper, previously increasing it in any program.

And so, let's start sewing. We will start with you from the head. On the fleece we apply a pattern of the head and cut out a square or circle (as you prefer) with allowances of 3-3.5 cm.

Then, we lay aside one layer of fleece, and on the second we cut out the central circle (this is the place for the doll face).

Then, with a hidden seam, sew the curved edge. This is what we get from the front.

The resulting circle is applied to the wrong side of the fleece we prepared earlier.

Pins off, sweep and stitch. Here's how it will look in the end.

Next, we take the square we set aside earlier (or a circle, ... from someone, how), and put both parts with their faces inward. We apply the pattern of the head, draw a line with a marker or chalk and give a line, not forgetting about the hole for turning the part and further stuffing.

Cut the resulting circle with an allowance of 0.4-0.5 cm.

We twist and stuff our head. I stuff my head and other details from cotton with a synthetic winterizer so that there are no irregularities, because. he lays down denser, and stuff parts from fleece stuffed with holofiber.

We sew a hole through which we stuffed the part with a hidden seam. I will have ears in place of this seam, or you can make a hole below and then the seam will be in place of the neck of our doll.

Next, with a soft pencil we draw the face of the baby. I draw a face for my dolls precisely at this stage, someone does this at the end of all the work on the toy, but I am more pleased to sew the doll when I see its face!

Then draw the face with paints. We will tint at the end so that the blush does not sleep))

Here is such a green-eye, I got ...

We twist, stuff and sew the hole through which we filled it with a secret seam.

Sew in a blind stitch.

Now, we will sew our girl-bunny legs. To do this, circle the pattern of the foot on cotton, give a line, leaving the holes.

Cut out with an allowance of 0, 4-0.3 cm., Depending on the flowability of the fabric. We make notches around the perimeter of the parts. This is necessary so that inverted parts have no creases anywhere.

Now, stuff the paws.

Next, we will sew the legs to our bunny. There are a lot of options for sewing on the legs. I wrote about button fastening in my first MK. This doll will have an internal thread mount. For sewing paws, I use a strong thread, such as "Iris", in two additions. First, attach the paws to the toy and fix them with pins.

When the desired level is found, gently pull the needles out of the legs and in the places where the needle is pierced, mark the points through which we will sew the legs (2 points on the inside of the legs and 2 on the body, and if you make button fastening, the marks will also on the outside). Everything should be clearer in the photo.

We tighten the paws with the necessary strength, tie knots and pull the threads to the area of the future tail. We tie knots there again, for greater reliability, and cut the remainder of the thread.

These are the paws we got.

Getting to the ears. The inside of our ears will be made of cotton, and the outside of fleece. We circle the pattern, sew the details.

Cut out the resulting ears and make notches. Here ..., everywhere its nose is popping ..., well, of course, her ears ...

Now, we twist the ears, bend the bottom and sew it with a blind seam. After that, fold the ear in half and pull it together, as shown in the photo.

Well ... let's try on !!! We attach the ears, as you like, fix with safety pins and sew them with a secret seam. That's what we are already eared!

We pass to the tail. Circle the face pattern. Yes, yes, I was not mistaken!

From the wrong side, at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge, we absorb and bring the thread to the front side.

We are tightening. Here is the result.

Now, we apply the face of the tail to the bunny, fix it with needles and sew it with a hidden seam.

Well, here ... now you can get a blush on your cheeks! I tint the dolls with oil pastel pencils (you can do with blush if there is no pastel).

Congratulations! Our babies are ready! Now the best part remains ..., details!

My Melisska is really a baby, so she is with a bow and a papilla. And also, magic dew drops settled on her, which fell on her when she walked in the garden in the morning!

Melisska came out with a height of 19 cm. Your dolls can be of different sizes, it depends on the size of the pattern. I also want to say that depending on what kind of face the bunny will have (and it can be embroidered and with dotted eyes), the bunny can become a wonderful friend for your baby, the "squeezing" size of the doll is too painful.

I will be glad if you like MK and you want to create a small miracle !!!

If you have questions, ask!

Thanks!

Regards, Lena Talan

Today, handmade designer toys are gaining more and more popularity: they can be given to friends and children, used as interior decorations, and theatrical dolls will help to distract even the most capricious child. Puppetry professionals can independently invent and draw schemes of various characters, and for beginners we will give the simplest master class of such products.

We sew a doll with our own hands: patterns

Let's make a simple author's baby doll, the process of cutting and sewing of which will be clear even to an inexperienced master of puppetry. To do this, print on a large sheet of paper, for example A3, the diagram, which is shown in the following photo:

 • head - 2 pieces;
 • hands - 4 pcs.;
 • body - 2 pcs.

Stepping back from the lines one centimeter, cut the fabric blanks.

Note! If it is supposed to sew an interior doll, then the fabric can be any, but dense. For children's toys, it is better to take natural dense materials: linen, cotton, etc.

Sew a doll with our own hands: step-by-step instructions

 1. Sew on the typewriter or manually in small stitches two halves of each part (head, body and handles), leaving a small area unshipped, marked in gray in the previous figure. It will be needed in order to turn the part on the front side.
 2. Handles need to be stitched completely, and small holes cut through the side (marked in gray, needed for the same purpose).
 3. Turn the blanks through these holes and fill them tightly with cotton, holofiber or other suitable material.
 4. Sew holes and sew head and hands to the body.

The base of the textile doll is ready, now you need to paint its face. Acrylic paints, felt-tip pens, markers are suitable for this. But if it is supposed to wash such a toy in the future, then the eyes, nose and mouth can be made of beads, buttons, or simply stitched with colored thread, as in the photo.

To make the doll hair, you can take the same lengths of yarn and tie them in the middle, stick or sew to the doll head.

It remains only to pick up clothes. To do this, you can use any pattern of dresses, skirts, jackets and other clothes. We offer one of them:

DIY doll on hand: patterns

There are many ways to make a doll for a home theater, but we will consider the simplest one. To do this, you will need a large household fabric glove. The handles of the character will be controlled by the thumb and middle finger, and on the index finger at the end you will need to fix the head of the character himself. The nameless and the little fingers need to be turned inside the gloves and carefully sewn up so that they do not interfere with the process.

Now you need to sew the head of the acting person. To do this, you can take any schematic illustration from the Internet, both small dolls and animals, fairy-tale characters, etc. are suitable. A head is sewn according to the same principle as described in the first part of the article. We show the pattern of the doll’s head:

You can sew both the head and body yourself. We offer the sewing scheme of Parsley:

Textile articulated doll: pattern

So called characters who, due to the special connection of limbs can take a variety of poses. Of course, making such a toy is more difficult, but the result of such work exceeds all expectations.

Such a doll is created identically to the first variant described, but for its tailoring special patterns are needed. Here is one of them:

Cutting out, stuffing with a synthetic winterizer and combining all the components together, you can begin to design a rag girl: paint her face, make hair, sew clothes. Handmade textile articulated toy can be a wonderful interior addition or your daughter’s favorite girlfriend.

A doll can become not only a decoration for the home, but also a favorite toy for your child. This article tells the secrets of sewing this product and offers patterns.

The doll has long been not only a toy, but also a charm for a child. The doll was not brought from the store, but do it yourself. It was believed that a do-it-yourself thing was conspired to achieve a certain result: to make a person happy, healthy, to help him find his own path in life or love.

That dolls - protectors of children, has long been forgotten and lost its meaning. Modern toys are made of different materials: plastic, wood, textile, porcelain. The appearance of modern dolls is sometimes not only surprising, but even shocking: monster dolls, Barbie dolls, Winx and even zombie dolls.

For those who wish to please a child at any age, instill in him a love for toys, a love for the beautiful and give him a “faithful companion” for all his childhood, come in handy patterns and tips for self-creation of textile dolls.

For work, you may absolutely need any textile material from what is available at home or purchased in the store: linen, cotton, synthetics, felt, lace and ribbons for decoration. The doll’s hair is made of woolen threads, and buttons and embroidery can be used to create facial features.

In this craft, you can express all your creativity. You can make the doll realistic or create a famous fairy tale character. It was previously believed that the doll (in order to become a protector) should repeat the traits of your child: the same color of eyes, hair, favorite clothes, smile and so on.

IMPORTANT: A simple and clear pattern will help you plan your work correctly so that you get a neat product.

How to sew a doll face?

The easiest way to make a doll’s face is draw it with acrylic paints. As already mentioned, they are resistant to water and moisture, dry quickly, leave a rubberized film on the fabric surface, have a large number of color solutions and it is pleasant to work with them.

Another way to create facial features is by pulling with a needle and thread. To do this, you first need decide on the filling of the doll: cotton wool, holofiber, synthetic winterizer.

The head of the doll is made of white fabric, the pattern is stuffed. The head is once again fitted with a flesh-colored capron. By compressing the folds, the needle is threaded through the material, the thread is pulled together and fixed.

How to sew a stuffed toy doll: pattern, photo

A doll made for a child with his own hands from textiles may well become his favorite soft toy which he will take with him to sleep, traveling, kindergarten, for a walk. The doll will be able to like the child when it will convey some pleasant emotions or run into associations.

For example, you can dress a doll in a dress made from your personal wardrobe item: bathrobe, old dress, blouse. Another option is to sew dresses for the child and the doll from the same fabric.

IMPORTANT: Ask in advance what kind of dolls your baby likes: tall, small, with long legs or sweeties, fairies, sorceresses, angels, and only then start looking for a suitable pattern.

Today I will tell and show how to sew an interior doll. I know that there are a lot of workshops on such dolls. But each master has his own techniques and his own sewing features.
 In this master class, I tried to tell in great detail how I do it. I think that such material is suitable even for beginners without experience. So let's get started.

 What we need:
 Sewing machine.
 Body knitwear, non-woven fabric, cotton, knitwear for clothes.
 Shoes for dolls, hat for dolls, hair tresses.
 Threads are white and beige, needles.
 Filler - synthetic winterizer and synthetic winterizer. You can only sintepon, if you do not find sintepuh.
 Large (long) needle for sewing arms and legs.
 Clay moment is transparent.
 Invisible needles or safety pins.
 Scissors.
 So, the first and most important is the pattern.
 Here she is.

For tailoring you need knitwear. You can buy knitwear that almost does not stretch. Most often it is called "White Angel". I use the simplest knitwear from the fabric store for my work. So that he does not stretch too much, I glue it with non-woven fabric. I glue the fabric from the inside, except for the place where the head will be. I fold and chip away, facing each other, outlining a pattern, stitching, cutting and twisting. Details are not completely stitched. There are places for eversion and a place where the ball for the head is inserted. The following picture shows where there are gaps, we do not sew fabric.

 Here is the result.

A very important point! Parts of the body are cut with a zigzag scissors. If you don’t have these, then we cut them out as usual and make small incisions in the places of bends, for example, on the neck. Just take this cropped edge and trim it carefully, not reaching the seam of a couple of millimeters.
 After we have flashed all the details, we need to finalize the legs. We take the leg, fold it in the area of the foot, as in the photo (seam to seam) and draw a rounded line.

 Stitch along this line. Cut out. This is what we should get.

 We turn the parts with a wooden stick.

 Getting to the head. We need a foam ball 8 mm in diameter. Cut a circle from the synthetic winterizer so that it completely covers the ball, if wrapped.

 We wrap the ball and stick it into the head through a space not wired from above.

 My dolls with a nose. If you do not want to make a nose for your doll, then you can skip the next point. For a nose we need a safety pin with a bead at the end, a piece of padding polyester, thread and glue. So, take a pin. Apply glue to the tip of the plastic bead. Wrap a strip of padding polyester. Then we fold this roll on a bead in half. We tie the base of this ball with a thread. Here's what it looks like:
 The necessary strip of padding polyester.

 A roll wrapped around an invisibility.

 We folded this roll in half and wrapped a thread at the base.

 We plan on the face of the invisible, where we will have a nose.

 Gently push the fabric back and at the place where the needle enters the ball, insert our nose, and remove the invisibility.

 Sew on top of the head.

 Now the most crucial and difficult moment is the neck. For the neck you will need a wooden stick. I use Chinese sticks. I cut them and sharpen the end. You can use wooden skewers, but they are more brittle. I had a situation that such a skewer broke when I inserted it into the ball. A strip of padding polyester and glue are also required.
 Cut a strip of padding polyester in width equal to the length of the stick to the point, and a length such that when folded into a roll, a neck coverage of approximately.

 We lubricate the stick with glue and, starting from the end, we roll the synthetic winterizer around the stick - like a carpet. This is what you should get.

 Carefully through the lower non-wired hole, insert this roller into the body and prick our ball on the tip of the stick. Immediately make a reservation that for a beginner it can be difficult to immediately make a beautiful neck. With experience it turns out better and better.

We stuff the body with a synthetic fluff. Gently, in small pieces. We help ourselves with a wooden stick. If you don’t have a synthetic winterizer, then you can use a synthetic winterizer, tearing and fluffing it into small pieces.

 First we stuff the neck with a stick. We try to align everything so that there are no bumps.

 After the neck is smooth and neat, you can already fill the body without a stick, with your hands. A very important point! The packing should be very tight, tight. This is necessary so that our doll then stands. This applies to the body, and arms, and legs. Do not rush, use small pieces. Large pieces give the so-called cellulite - the uneven surface of the doll.

 We sew the bottom.

 We stuff our arms and legs in the same way. There is no way to do without a wand. Tip: first put your feet in boots, and then stuff. This can be done again with a stick. We insert it into the leg and put it in the boot. And then we stuff it. This will help the foot not deform when stuffing and take the form of shoes. Sew openings of arms and legs.

 Getting to the clothes. Cut out panties. We take the fabric. Fold facing each other. We draw our pattern on the fabric. We hem above and below. And then we sew the upper side seams. Like this:

 We unfold and stitch the lower seams already so that we get panties.

 We twist and put on the legs through the top. Like this.

 Further, for work, we need durable threads, a long needle, buttons, a thimble and pliers.

 We insert the body between the legs. We fix with safety pins, and better, if any, with long needles. And we sew by button fastening the legs to the body. It is like this:

 That is, you insert the needle into one leg and sew through the torso with the other leg. At the same time, stitch on each side through buttons.

 We put on panties. We collect them from the back and sew them to the calf. If they turned out to be wide over the leg, then they can be picked up on a thread and sewn to the legs.

 Sew a dress. It will consist separately of the top, skirt and sleeves. We sew the upper part. To do this, we need to measure the circumference of the body at the waist and the height of this upper part. The following photos show that I got a girth of 21 cm and a height of 7.5 cm. We add 0.5 cm in width and 2 cm in height to the allowance.

 So, we need to cut a 21.5x9.5 cm rectangle.
 And hem it on a typewriter on both sides in width. Like this.

Then we make tucks from two sides. To do this, apply our cut to the body, wrap and outline for ourselves a fold of fabric. For starters, you can draw a line and sweep it by hand. Sew one side. We do not sew to the end, since on the bottom we have the length that we need. And it does not need to be reduced.

 We put it again to the body and in the same way outline the surplus on the second side, which needs to be removed in the tuck. Firmware. We attach to the body, fasten with pins and sew two halves carefully on the back. It turns out here is the upper part:

 Front view:

 Sew a skirt. Everything is simple here. From the waist, measure the length of the skirt you need. Please note that if the skirt is magnificent, then it will look shorter. Cut a rectangle equal in width to your skirt length + 2 cm for allowances, and in length as much as you want. The more, the more magnificent. I made a length of 45 cm for this doll. If one piece of fabric is missing, then two can be sewn. So, they cut, hemmed the edges, and then sewed it in one circle. Picking up a thread in length and tightened on the belt. Then they sewed directly to the calf. Like this:

 I have a petticoat. The skirt is on top. I made her folds. The technology is the same. It is sewn by hand.

 Down you can wear a tulle skirt for splendor. On the belt in order to hide the seam, you can stick or sew on braid or lace. You can still decorate the dress in some way. Act, show your imagination :)
 I make a jacket out of knitwear, but you can use both cotton and jeans. In this example, I used knitwear and cotton as a lining. Chipping off the fabric facing each other. We draw a pattern. We do not sew to the end. We turn it out through the hole and sew it up manually.

We attach our jacket to the doll and fix it with pins. In the center we sew it. Decorate with a button or something else. You can not sew, then he will not be buttoned on the doll.

 On a small rectangular section of knitwear, we sew the bottom. Face off and draw the sleeves. I put the pens on the fabric and outline where the sleeve should go.

 Sew, twist and put on hands.
 Sew hands like feet, using button fastening.

 The last step is hair. Hair can be made from artificial tresses or from natural curls of lambs. You can also use yarn or wool for felting. Today I will tell you how to make hair from tresses.
 What we need is tresses, glue the moment is transparent, or a needle with a thread, safety pins, a comb.
There are two options. The first is to glue the tresses with glue, the second is to sew with thread. For beginners, I recommend the second option. It is easier. I'll show you how to glue tresses.
 Around the head with a simple pencil draw a line. On this line we squeeze a small layer of glue.

 We attach the base of the tresses to this layer and fix it with pins. Pins are needed for just a few seconds for the glue to snap. When I glue the second row, I already pull the pins out of the first.

 Then in the same way we squeeze out another layer of glue and glue another row. Hair does not need to be cut. This is done in a spiral.
 The same images of the third row, etc. Until the tress is over. It turns out like this.

 You can likewise spiral sew tresses with threads to the head. This is a little longer, but the hands will be clean from glue :)
 We draw eyes with acrylic paint and blush cheeks with ordinary blush.

Handmade textile dolls are popular due to their uniqueness. These are not toys for children, as they are fragile and are not recommended to be washed. Textile products can be decorated with various accessories (buttons, brooches, etc.). The sewing process is quite exciting. Beginners will help to master all the intricacies of making such toys in a master class.

Rules for the manufacture of textile dolls for the pattern: master class

 • the body is better made from natural fabric (cotton, linen, chintz and others are suitable);
 • the material from which the body is made must be white or flesh-colored;
 • as a filler, it is desirable to use a synthetic winterizer, cotton wool or synthetic winterizer (fabric trimmings are also suitable);
 • you can decorate the product with beads, beads, use acrylic paints to decorate your face and more;
 • hair is best done from threads or fleece cut into strips;
 • legs and handles are sewn or secured with buttons, hinges;
 • when transferring the details of the pattern to the fabric, remember that you need to leave allowances for the seams.

On a note! A doll made of textiles can be sewn in various versions and can be of different sizes. Life-size patterns are sometimes used.

Patterns of author's textile dolls

When the experience in manufacturing standard products is gained, many craftswomen proceed to the creation of copyright works. They change their head, body shape, in search of new options. On the Internet you can find many patterns from different authors.

So, we sew a toy with our own hands. Below is a drawing of a textile articulated pupa. The red dot indicates the place where the cotter pin is attached.

The manufacture of the product is not particularly difficult if you master certain skills. The main difficulty is face design. Below is a master class on making articulated dolls from textiles:

 1. First, the pattern is transferred to the fabric.
 2. Jokes all the details to the fabric, they must be cut out, leaving room for seams (the exception is the element connecting the face and the back of the head). It should be noted that some elements need to be cut several times.
 3. Then all the elements are sewn together (small areas remain unstitched so that the product can be turned out and stuffed).
 4. Parts are turned out, stuffed with filler and sewn together in a certain sequence.

After registration, we get such an interesting author's work.

On a note! A person can be decorated in any convenient way. Some use special acrylic paints for these purposes, others embroider it, form a nose by tightening the thread.

Patterns of unusual textile dolls: a master class with step by step photos

On a note! The indefatigable imagination of needlewomen allows us to make various unique products. So there are real masterpieces that have no analogues. Clothing for unusual dolls is selected at your own discretion and can also be special.

On Valentine's Day, you can give your soulmate a funny angel. Here is his pattern. Optionally, the dimensions of the parts can be increased.

First, all elements are transferred to the fabric. Usually start from the head.

Details are trimmed, leaving room in order to turn them. Then the elements are cut out and turned out. Then they are filled with filler. A small amount of vanillin can be added to the heart and wings.

Extra holes are sutured, the angel boy is decorated using coffee-cinnamon solution, and then dried in the oven or in another convenient way.

All parts are assembled in a certain sequence. The wings are sewn on the back. The heart is put into the hands and grabbed with a thread.

Now you need to make an angel hairstyle and make his face. Sketches are made with a pencil, and then face elements are drawn with acrylics. The hairstyle is made of yarn and attached to the head with threads.

Angel is ready. You can enjoy the result. It will turn out such a funny "cupid" as in the photo.

Patterns of textile French dolls

French products are striking in their sophistication. Often they convey a gentle image. Here are a few examples of such "refined natures."
