Despite the fact that the instruction is large, it is very simple to do such an craft.
You will need:
Felt of different colors
Hot glue, superglue or PVA glue
Ribbon or thread (to hang a decoration)
Toothpicks, skewers or other details that will play the role of sticks for candy.
1. Cut one strip from each sheet of felt. You can choose its dimensions yourself, but in this example the length of the strips varies from 17.5 to 30 cm, and the width is 1 cm.
* For one candy 6 strips will be needed. In this example, 2 strips are used for each of the 3 selected colors.
2. Lay all 6 strips on top of each other. Remember that when you fold the strip into a tube, some will begin to bulge, and you will need to trim them. The strip that will be the shortest inside the tube and the outermost will be the longest.
* You can trim the strips with scissors as you twist them, or you can cut the necessary strips in advance (the approximate length of each strip: 17.5, 20, 22.5, 25, 27.5, 30 cm).
3. Start twisting the strips by adding a little glue between them. In the end, make sure that the outer strip is longer than the rest. Glue the ends of the strips.
4. Glue the stick to the resulting candy with hot glue. If you wish, you can paint a toothpick or skewer with white acrylic paint.
5. Glue or sew the tape on the back of the candy so that it can be hung on the Christmas tree.
Crafts on the theme of the New Year: a tree of wine corks
To get the right amount of wine corks, it is not necessary to buy wine, just order corks online or in a store.
You will need:
Wine corks (26 corks used in this example)
* Instead of corks, you can use cardboard or wooden spools of thread.
* If you replace the cork with toilet paper sleeves, then, painting them, you will also get the right material for the Christmas tree. In this case, the Christmas tree will turn out more than a Christmas tree from traffic jams.
PVA glue
Hot glue or super glue
Paints or glitters (to color plugs or sleeves)
Twine and cardboard sleeve from toilet paper (for hemp, on which the tree will stick).
1. Paint the corks with acrylic paint or best of all apply PVA glue, on top of which sprinkle the sparkles.
2. Having painted the plugs (coils), glue them together with a pyramid (see image) using hot glue or superglue.
* It is advisable to glue first one row of corks, then another, and so on, until you have the right number of rows. After that, just glue all the rows.
3. Cut a piece of cardboard sleeve from the toilet paper, start wrapping it with twine, adding PVA glue so that the twine holds better. You got a stump.
4. Using hot glue, stick the stump to the tree.
On the top of the head you can stick a button, ribbon, toy or paper star or an arc with a small suitable object.
Crafts for the New Year (phased photo instruction): snowflakes from clothespins
You will need:
Plain wooden clothespins
Small decorative clothespins (optional)
Medium-sized clothes pegs (optional)
White acrylic paint
Sponge brush
Sequins, artificial snow or salt.
PVA glue
Thin wire.
* In this example, 6 clothespins of each size are used to make one snowflake. Therefore, get the right amount and better with a margin.
1. First, get rid of spring mechanisms on clothespins.
2. Paint all clothespins.
3. Using hot glue or superglue, glue large clothespins so that you get a snowflake (see image).
4. On top of large clothespins, stick medium ones, and on top of medium clothespins, stick small ones.
5. Cover the resulting decoration with PVA glue and sprinkle on top with sequins, artificial snow or salt. You can also use decorative snow (spray).
6. Pass a wire or ribbon through the hole in the clothespins to make a loop to help hang the clothespin.
Crafts for the New Year on the Christmas tree: patterns from the details of puzzles
You will need:
Small details from old puzzles
Acrylic paint (in this example red, green and white)
Tassels
PVA glue or hot glue
Twine or thin ribbon
Small bell (optional)

You can create several variations of wreaths and other Christmas-tree decorations from the details of puzzles, and here are some of them:
Jigsaw Puzzle
1. First paint a few details that you intend to use for crafts. In this example, 6 parts were painted red and 6 were white.
2. When the paint has dried, use PVA glue to connect the parts together.
3. It remains to add the tape. If you have a hole between two pieces of puzzles - stick the tape through it, and if there is none - just stick it, attach with a stapler or make a hole with scissors.

1. First, glue all the parts together to make a circle (wreath).

3. A bell can be attached to the wreath. Pass the ribbon through the bell and then through the wreath and you can decorate your Christmas tree.
The best crafts for the New Year: Christmas candles
You will need:
Cardboard liners for paper towels and toilet paper
* In this example, we used: 3 bushings of 30 cm, 2 bushings of 20 cm, 3 bushings of 15 cm, 2 bushings of 10 cm, 1 bush of 5 cm. But you can use other sizes by cutting some bushings.
Insulating tape or tape
Hot glue
Spray paint or acrylic paint

PVA glue.
1. Glue the bushings together to form one large candlestick.

4. Prepare acrylic paint and start painting the entire candlestick from cardboard sleeves. Choose your own color.
5. When the paint dries, cover the candlestick with PVA glue and sprinkle glitter over it.
6. Apply PVA glue to the lower part of the candlestick (lower parts of the bushings) and glue it to the paper plate to hold the structure better.
7. Using hot glue, glue tinsel or a garland to the candlestick and plate. You can add other decorations, such as a toy bird, artificial berries and flowers, ribbons, stars and beads.
Crafts for the New Year with children: Christmas lights from cardboard sleeves
You will need:
Cardboard sleeves from toilet paper (their number depends on the number of lights)
Twine
Colored paper or colored cardboard
Hot glue or PVA glue
Scissors.
1. First, all the bushings need to be pressed down.
2. Cut each sleeve into pieces (rings) 5-7 mm wide.
3. Glue the rings to the colored cardboard.
4. Cut the glued rings.
5. Now all received flashlights need to be connected with twine.
To do this, the twine can be glued directly to the flashlights (on the back of the colored cardboard).

1. Cut the fabric into wide strips - about 5 cm.
2. Using double-sided tape, start gluing strips around the cone, from bottom to top (see image). Each subsequent strip should slightly overlap the lower strip.
* If necessary, use scissors to shorten the length of the strips.
* Adjust fabric so that it lies as you like.
3. The Christmas tree can be put on a small pot, which can be filled with artificial snow, pebbles or sand.
* You can decorate the Christmas tree by gluing to it (using PVA glue or hot glue) various decorations - pompons, stars, buttons, etc.
You will need:
Small spruce branches (better artificial)
Artificial berries
A small tray.
1. First place the tray on a flat surface. Add spruce branches to the sides.
2. Now add the bumps. They can be put on top of twigs.
3. Continue adding bumps to the tray, distributing them as you like.
4. Between the cones, add a few more branches of spruce.
5. Now you can add a few twigs with artificial berries.
* If desired, some parts can be fastened with hot glue.
* You can also sprinkle this Christmas decoration with artificial snow, salt or sparkles, and to keep this “snow” well, you can slightly anoint the cones on top with PVA glue.

* As an alternative to decorative snow, you can use salt and PVA glue. Put the wreath on the table and glue the upper part, then sprinkle with plenty of salt.

Star garland
You can create a festive atmosphere with the help of garlands. It can be improved with paper stars. To do this, you need the following materials:
- Colored paper.

Put a saucer on a sheet of paper, circle it. The result is a circle in which to draw two intersecting triangles, as shown in the image above. Two stars are needed for the garland, so you need to prepare the second part. It is necessary to leave allowances at each face.

Manufacturing process:
- glue the sleeve with red felt;
- cut out of felt and glue the black “belt” and “plaque”;
- from white felt we make “face”, “beard”, “mustache” and “nose”;
- make a cap from red felt, glue it, and close the seam place with a white felt tape, like a real hat;
- from cardboard and black felt we make a flat base for a figure in the form of shoes;
- from red and white felt we make handles in mittens and glue them to the “body”;
- make a white pompom on the tip of the cap (glue two felt discs);
- glue the bead eyes and red mouth.
Crafts can be put or hung on a Christmas tree. In the second case, in the manufacture of the pompom, a beautiful ribbon or shiny lace is glued between the disks.
Santa Claus from a plastic bottle
For crafts, you need to prepare: a plastic bottle (0.5-1 l.), Acrylic paints in red and white, glue, scissors, a black marker and white threads.
Manufacturing process:
- paint the bottle in red or glue it with paper;

- when the figure hardens we begin to paint (we mix the paint with glue).

Paper Snow Maiden
To make a funny Snow Maiden from paper, you will need cardboard, colored paper, glue and pencils.
We fold a sheet of cardboard with a cone and get a base, which we then paste over with blue paper. We also make sleeves from cardboard.
On thick white paper, draw the face of a snow maiden with pigtails and carefully cut it out. From white paper we cut openwork trim "fur coat".
We glue all the details and, if desired, paint decorative elements with a marker. Instead of blue colored paper, you can take white by painting it with a pencil.
Snowman made of white plastic cups
The craft can be of different sizes, but it will be equally easy to work with it because of its light weight. It is necessary to prepare: several packs of disposable cups, a stationery stapler, glue, colored cardboard for a cap, a marker and an old scarf.
Manufacturing process:
- we connect the cups around the circumference with the help of a stapler (orient the bottom to the center of the circle);
- building up rows, we get the first hemisphere;
- we make the second hemisphere incomplete (without top) so that the sphere stably stands on a flat surface;
- connect the parts with a stapler and get a “com”;
- in the same way we make the second “lump” of smaller radius;
- glue two spheres;
- we make a cap out of cardboard (you can sew it from fabric or take it ready);
- make eyes, nose and mouth;
- we make out the buttons (you can put tinsel, a wad of foil or colored paper in the right cups).
To come up with an original decoration for a Snowman is quite simple.
Snowman made of threads and glue
For this craft you will need: white threads (preferably thick for knitting), PVA glue, 4 balloons, colored paper and felt-tip pens.
Manufacturing process:
- inflate balloons of the right size (trunk, head and arms);
- wrap each ball with a thread dipped in glue and leave to dry;
- after a day, we pierce the balls with a needle and remove the scraps;
- from the resulting white balls we collect and glue the figure of the Snowman;
- make eyes, nose and smile out of paper or draw with felt-tip pens;
- create a hat - a paper bucket;
- we tie a wide ribbon, a children's scarf or tinsel.
To complete the composition, you can make a broom out of a wooden skewer for barbecue and wide ribbons of colored paper.
Decorative christmas tree

Pine cone herringbone
A small but pretty Christmas tree will turn out from a beautiful pine cone (fir cones of a smaller size and more elongated). There are various options for coloring and decoration.
To make the Christmas tree look more realistic, “plant” it in a small plastic flower pot (flowers are sold in stores, and after transplanting into a ceramic pot, they often do not find use at home). You can also make a pot from puff pastry or plasticine.

When there is no place for real spruce in the apartment, but you want a resinous smell, you should think about creating a mini version of small twigs. For this, an elongated piece of floristic sponge is placed in a decorative bowl or clay pot.
