Crochet sweater with bat sleeves. Knitting a bat sweater. Asymmetrical knitted bat sweater

Knitted products Almost everyone loves knitting needles. But, there are models that have an important advantage over others. This style is considered to be the cut “ bat».

It is valued because women with any body type can wear it. In addition, the model is knitted in one piece. The knitting pattern for a sweater with this cut is very simple. Any beginning knitter can handle it. The only limitation will be the number of patterns used. After all, experienced craftswomen know how to combine openwork, reliefs and facial surface in one product:

And for beginners it will be difficult to keep attention on this combination.

To knitted The bat jacket was original, you can easily choose a design for the model. An excellent option is the fastener on the bar:

  • creative sleeve;
  • combination of drawings;
  • poncho jacket;
  • openwork cape;
  • original collar or bottom of the product.

Before you start creating your own model, let's look at some tips.

We knit a loose fit

You can start knitting a sweater after simple preparations.

To get started, select:

  1. Pattern or combination of several options. Any will do. For products with a bat sleeve, braids, arans, delicate openwork, types of elastic bands and mesh knits are used. Immediately prepare diagrams or descriptions of the selected knitting patterns.
  2. The model of your sweater is cut like a bat. Here, use your imagination and feel free to combine elastic at the bottom of the product or on the sleeves with an original clasp, collar, and overlay details. The jacket can be in a summer version with short sleeve and winter. In this case, you can vary the sleeves - make them narrow, wide, straight:
  3. Yarn and knitting needles. Take knitting needles for circular knitting on a cable or fishing line. This is important because knitting cuts require large quantity loops on knitting needles in one row. It is very good if you immediately knit a control sample. This way you will see the compatibility of yarn and patterns, calculate the density and the required number of loops for the initial row.

Now take measurements, the list of which includes:

  • product and sleeve length;
  • neck volume;
  • hip volume.

These are standard indicators, they may vary depending on the modification of the design of your sweater.

Let's get started

What else do you need to know before you start knitting a bat sweater? The scheme can be made in two versions - longitudinal and transverse. In the first case, the jacket is knitted from the bottom up, and in the second from the sleeve. Let's consider both options in more detail.

If the jacket is knitted from the bottom up. We cast on the required number of loops for the elastic band or the bottom of the product. We knit the required length of elastic and immediately add loops (from 14 to 18 in one row). How much to add is determined by the diagram and size. Next we knit exactly 28-30 cm. Now we start knitting the “bat” pattern. In each front row we make increases on both sides of the canvas. Approximate scheme of additions:

  • 3 times one loop;
  • 12 times two;
  • 7 times three;
  • 1 time four;
  • 1 time five;
  • 1 time six.

After so many additions, you will have stitches on the front and two sleeves on your knitting needles. Now knitting continues exactly to the neckline. Divide the fabric in half and make a neckline. Having reached the shoulder line, cover all the loops in one row with knitting needles. The second half of the bat sweater is done in the same way, then both parts are sewn together. You can not close the loops at the shoulder line, but continue to immediately knit the back in the reverse order of decreases. In this case, your knitted sweater will have no shoulder seam.

When making the style with knitting needles in the transverse version.

The knitting pattern changes. Start working with the sleeve. After the elastic band, uniform increases are made to the armhole. Having reached this mark, the front and back loops are cast on in full. Knit with knitting needles until the beginning of the neckline. Here you will have to take into account the shape of the front and back neck. Then, having reached the second armhole, close the front and back loops and continue to knit in a mirror image. This option is more difficult for beginners, so you need to choose according to your level of preparedness.
