The lion, the king of beasts, wants to be made for a child from ready template on this lesson. All you have to do is prepare all the missing materials and follow from one stage to another.

Necessary materials:

Step by step photo lesson:

We print the template of a cute lion on a white semi-cardboard and then carefully cut out all the details: both large and small. Everything should come out with four cut out elements - a torso in the form of a cube blank, a head with a mane, a tail and a detail to create volume for the head.

We bend the blank for the body along all lines.

We apply glue only on the white areas of the body and glue it with adjacent sides. Get the result of the body of a lion in the form of a cube. Let's leave the workpiece aside and move on to creating other parts.

We take a small detail in the form of a strip. Apply glue to the corresponding part. We glue. We get a box.

Apply glue to most white color of this box and apply to the back of the lion's head. Then glue the other side of the box to the body. We get the voluminous head of the king of beasts.

Let the glue dry thoroughly so that this part of the craft does not move down. In the meantime, you can compare our result with yours and, if necessary, correct it.

At the end there was a small tail. It should be bent along the horizontal black line in half. We apply glue to the white area and lean this part against the back of the body.

Here is a finished cute lion from a printed template in the form of a three-dimensional color craft for a child. From such a king of beasts, no one will remain indifferent!

I decided to make a selection of lions self made. The image of a strong predator was presented. It turned out that all the masters are women, so in most cases their lion is called "Levushka" or "Lion Cub". Lions, respectively, they created soft, fluffy and squeezable :)

Irina from Altai creates aroma-primitives and textile dolls.

Katya Zueva is interested in old Soviet plush toys. Some live in her house, some she sells, and some she cuts a pattern and sews similar toys on them. These old toys are for sale - https://plus.google.com/photos/109000332024560077496/albums/5792500287890179297. Katerina also collects the heads of old dolls and creates a new image for the toys. She also paints in oils.

Lyovushka. While sewing, he looked like Boniface.

Lara Kerigan from Rostov-on-Don creates souvenirs, jewelry and toys. Works with wool and polymer clay.

Fisher Lion, Wool, polymer clay. Height 28 cm.

Leo Boniface

Angelica from Rostov-on-Don knits toys and paints useful wooden items for the home.
"I am not an artist by profession and have never studied it, but the desire to draw always accompanies me.
I have always admired and continue to treat painting as an art form, and now I myself decided to touch this type of applied art.
I paint with acrylic, it is a very convenient paint both in drawing and in operation. Since this is a manual work, exact repetitions do not work.

Anna Saparova from Komi knits funny animals.

Olga Tiunchik from Vitebsk is very fond of knitting toys.
"I'm fond of different types handicrafts, with great interest I learn something new from experienced craftsmen, But knitted toy always remains my favorite thing!"

Levushka. About 20 cm tall. Crocheted from YanArt Jeans. Legs and head on splint fastenings, handles are reinforced with wire.

I really wanted to make a muzzle and a mane using the wool felting technique, but since I was preparing for MK, all the details are available for knitters.

Natalya from Krasnoyarsk is a designer in her ordinary life, but in her unusual life she sews tilde dolls.
"My pleasure is creativity, which has turned into a profession. But here is the other side of my life: mother's affairs, which are involved in creativity with children, "domestic creativity" and hobbies - toys or items for holidays."

Educational toy Lion cub. The bell is elasticated and can be easily removed. The lion cub can be machine washed, but the bell rusts from water. Therefore, while the toy is being washed, you can put the bell on your arm or leg and have fun like this :)
Since the toy is intended for kids, then of course I sew tightly!
The head is sewn in a circle twice in two threads. Also with a mane.

Oksana Yarmolnik is an artist-designer. Creates textile dolls.
"She graduated from the Moscow Textile Institute, Faculty of Applied Arts. From 1983 to 1985 she worked as a production designer in the All-Union Directorate of Circus Art. Since 1985 she worked as a costume designer with such stage designers and directors as A. Borovsky, D. Borovsky, B. Messerer, O. Tabakov, S. Zhenovich, V. Fokin In 2001, she launched a line of her own toys that delight both adults and children in our country and abroad. Part of the proceeds from the sale of these toys goes to help the sick children under the program "Life Line". Currently, more than 300 items of toys have been developed. The range is constantly updated, which makes it possible to consider these toys as collectibles."

Leo barin. Textile doll.

Natalya Seliverstova from Kaliningrad sews teddy bears.
"All my life I loved to do many types of needlework. Once in the wonderful world of Teddy Bears, I stayed there forever! Bears find their new homes, which is very inspiring."

Lion-teddy Leoshka "I'm lying in the sun ..."

Even before the appearance of the lion cub, my imagination was drawing - the lion cub lies in the sun and for some reason on a deck chair and in a clearing. I ask my husband to make a sun lounger. And as a result, he came up with such a design of a folding deck chair. The meadow is knitted and crocheted.
The growth of the lion cub is -22 cm. It is sewn from German mohair and viscose. All paws are on cotter pins, the head is on a double splint connection, the filler is sintepuh, glass granulate, glass German eyes. The paws are embroidered with iris and tinted thin. oil, the muzzle is made in the technique of dry felting. The tail is reinforced.

Lion cub "Levushka" And they found me in a pumpkin!

Lion cub Lyovushka is sewn from viscose and long pile mohair. The growth of the lion cub is 24 cm, all paws are on cotter pins, the head is on a double splint connection, the filler is sintepuh, glass granulate, glass German eyes. The paws are embroidered with iris and tinted thin. oil, the muzzle is made in the technique of felting. She loves to stand..
Pumpkin and hat - wet and dry felting. The collar is crocheted by me.
Completely handmade.

Such slingobuses were contacted on the theme of the beloved cartoon "The Lion and the Turtle". Made to order under the yellow-green sling of a young mother Natalia and her baby. The idea came unexpectedly :)!

Cotton, wooden beads made of beech and juniper, the filler inside the toys is hypoallergenic sintepuh.

Victoria Ivanova from Moscow creates teddy toys.
"I have been dealing with bears and others like them since 2008. I love them immensely .... I hope that part of this love is transferred to their new mothers."

Lion-fluffy :))) Rostik 18 cm. Sewn from German plush, viscose, muzzle - felt.

Marina Nikitina from Moscow creates miniature felted toys. Her works are a little naive and resemble children's drawings :)
"I am an artist, I graduated from the Stroganov School, a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, I do all sorts of things, mostly felting."

Master's page at the Masters Fair - http://www.livemaster.ru/mariniki

Felted lion. 9x7 cm

Maria Novokreshenova from Moscow creates toys, dolls, paintings, costume jewelry and much more.
"Basically, I make felt toys, sculptures, dolls. Wool is a very pleasant material, primarily because of its naturalness.
I love inventing new characters, I dream of becoming a cartoonist. =)
I really love things with history and soul. I hate stampings, bright tasteless nonsense and Chinese fragile items.
I always put my soul into the things that I do.. How are they born? From impressions and sensations, so I try to travel often, watch new films and cartoons, visit flea markets, look at old photographs, learn new activities and fill myself in every possible way ..
If I use plastic, then it is paper glue, it looks like papier-mâché. I usually paint the plastic with acrylic and varnish it. Hand-painted, it seems to me, conveys feelings more than baked colored plastic."http://olga-bogoro.blogspot.ru/
