DIY Christmas toys from threads. New Year's toys from threads. Simple herringbone for office decor

On the eve of the magical New Year's holiday, most people feel the influence of its subtlest vibrations, which make them aware of the fabulousness and originality of the winter extravaganza. Every year, adults and children support the fabulous New Year holidays, decorating their homes with a variety of garlands and Christmas decorations. Permanent attributes of such events are the tree, Santa Claus, the Snow Maiden and, of course, the snowman. Thanks to these characters, New Year is considered the most favorite holiday of all children.

Snow friend

Not a single winter passes without sculpting this fabulous hero. As soon as the first snowflakes fall to the ground, the whole child, running out into the street, begins to sculpt a snowman. Indeed, for a small child, he is not just a product from snowballs, but a real friend. What a pity that such a friend cannot be brought into the house and put by his bed! But in order not to upset the children, for them it is possible to make such a comrade from another material. A handmade snowman made of threads will look no worse than a snowman and will not melt in a warm room.

Miracle of Thread

A snow-white and beautiful snowman made of threads, made with his own hands, will surely appeal to any child. After all, such a miracle of thread can be used in various ways. For example, small snowmen will be an excellent decoration for a Christmas tree, crafts of a slightly larger size will fit as a floor decor for a festive tree, and small and large snowmen in various designs will be good toys for children.

Jewelry for Christmas tree

Dressing every winter a forest beauty, a Christmas tree, for the holidays, everyone wants to make it fabulously unique. This can help not only toys from the store, but also made by yourself. A snowman made of threads and a ball made in a short time will look very beautiful on it. To create such a miracle from threads, you will need materials that probably are in every house, namely: PVA glue, white threads, black threads, a small piece of felt, balloons, large black rhinestones, orange threads, small sparkles of different colors and scissors. Procedure:

  1. Inflate three balls of different sizes.
  2. Coat all balls with glue and wind white threads on them (in different directions). Leave to dry completely.
  3. Pierce the balls with a needle and carefully remove them from the resulting balls from the threads.
  4. Glue openwork balls of threads between each other (as when sculpting a snowman from snow).
  5. From black rhinestones make eyes and buttons by gluing them with glue.
  6. Make a cone from a piece of cardboard, grease it with glue, carefully wrap an orange thread on it. After drying, stick the resulting nose to the snowman.
  7. From a piece of felt, cut a strip in the form of a scarf and wrap an article around the neck.
  8. Make a small cone out of cardboard and cut off the top to make a large opening. Stick a circle of cardboard of suitable diameter on it. It turned out a bucket that will serve as a headdress for a snow man. The headpiece must be smeared with glue and a black thread wound around it. The handle for the bucket is made of dense wire.
  9. The branches of a tree painted in white will serve as the hands of a snowman.
  10. Legs made of cardboard and glued.
  11. The resulting snowman can be sprinkled with sparkles. Or sprinkle with glitter hair spray.
  12. The final step is to attach the silver thread so that you can hang the toy on the Christmas tree.

Such fairy-tale characters can be made a large number, but with different distinctive features. For example, each snowman can be covered with sparkles of different colors or tie scarves made of colored felt. A snowman made of threads and a ball with a filler inside will also look unusual. Any material you like is suitable as a filler: rain for a Christmas tree, sequins of all colors, beads and so on. The main thing is that the filler is not heavy, otherwise it will break the craft. To put the contents inside the snowman, you need to put it in an inflatable ball at the initial stage of making crafts. All other actions will remain unchanged.

Another original version of a makeshift fairy-tale hero as Christmas tree decorations will be an article made from pompons. A snowman made of threads, how to make it from pompons is described in detail below, to make it even easier and faster than the previous fairy-tale hero. To do this, you need to take: white thick threads, cardboard, scissors, orange threads, black beads, thin white threads. Follow the instructions below:

  1. Cut two circles of the same diameter from cardboard and cut two more in the middle, but a little smaller. Thus, a pair of identical paper rings is obtained.
  2. Connect the rings together and start wrapping them with thick white threads in a spiral. The layer of thread should be thick enough and dense.
  3. Cut the scissors between the two rings of cardboard (on top). Then gently pull the rings apart by a couple of centimeters (make sure that they do not come off the thread) and gird the space between the rings with a small piece of strong thread and tightly knit. Remove cardboard disks, they will no longer be needed. The result was a pompom that needs to be fluffed additionally.
  4. This work to be done with two more pompons, but they must be of different sizes.
  5. Glue or sew finished balls from threads.
  6. Next, arrange the snowman in the same way as in the case of the inflatable balloon.

New Year's Present

There are never many gifts, so you can always come up with an extra surprise for the child. A snowman made of thread for the New Year will be a great present for every child. It can be both the main gift, and a great addition to other souvenirs. For example, a homemade snowman can be put under a Christmas tree and put in his hands a box with a present. Surely such a soft snowman will be remembered by any child for a long time as the most beloved and unusual New Year's surprise.

You can surprise a child not only with the beauty of a homemade snowman, but also with its size. Indeed, you see, a miracle of thread from one to two meters is an extraordinary sight! Moreover, a large snowman made of threads can be not only a toy, but also an excellent pillow that will warm the baby in bed at night. But to make such a charm, you need to select only high-quality and non-toxic materials. And, most importantly, such a toy, despite its size, should be very light and mobile.

Such an adorable snowman from threads, how to make it so that it meets all the above standards? This question interests many who want to make an extraordinary surprise for their children. This will help the algorithm of actions that must be strictly followed to obtain the perfect product in the end. Consider it:

  1. From white dense and soft threads with a hook weave three round bags. Do it this way: tie a chain of five air loops. Tie all these loops in a circle using half columns or columns. In each circle passed add two loops, do so until the middle of the bag, then start to remove them in the same order. Without tying it to the end, the ball will need to be filled with filler.
  2. To fill the snowman, take a synthetic winterizer. After stuffing the ball with a synthetic winterizer, tie it with a crochet, descending by one loop.
  3. Do the same with the other balls, but keep in mind that they should decrease, so for each subsequent bag the number of air loops will also need to be reduced.
  4. Sew finished balls to each other.
  5. Proceed to the manufacture of arms and legs. For hands, you need to dial three air loops and tie them in a circle, add one loop in each row. The principle of knitting is the same as when working with balls for the body of the craft, only the hands should be a little longer. Feet done that way. Ready to sew limbs.
  6. To tie the nose for the snowman out of orange threads this way: dial the required number of air loops and close them in a circle. Knit a couple of rows with a half-column and in each subsequent decrease one loop, knitting two together. It will turn out a cone, which you need to fill with padding polyester and sew to the head.
  7. Eyes, buttons and a mouth need to be cut out of felt and glued.
  8. The scarf can be knitted or crocheted independently, as well as cut from felt or any other fabric.
  9. As a headdress, a hat sewn from felt is suitable.

In a dance with beautiful snowflakes

Winter gave people an unusually beautiful miracle called snowflakes! Never repeating, they delight with their fabulous graceful forms. Therefore, very often handmade snowflakes make out various crafts. With their help, it will be possible to decorate a snowman from threads. How to make snowflakes for him so that they look organic on him? Nothing is easier! To do this, you just need to take white, blue and gray felt, draw snowflakes on it and cut them out. Then, with a brush, apply glue to the surface of the product and cover it with sparkles. After the glue dries, the snowflakes can be sewn on or glued to the snowman.

Also, such creative snowflakes can be used as independent decorations for a Christmas tree or room decor, it is only desirable to make them shiny on both sides.

Unusual picture

Speaking of Christmas decorations, it would be worthwhile to mention nice pictures with various winter landscapes. They will always help to emphasize the uniqueness of the festive decoration of any room. In such a picture, the snowman made of threads will look great too; we’ll take a closer look at how to make it. It is necessary to prepare a frame for the picture and paint it in silver. Then draw a snowman and other characters (Snow Maiden, Santa Claus) on canvas or any other material. Also depict some elements of nature, such as trees, hemp and snow piles. Next, take woolen threads of different colors and cut them into pieces of 1 or 2 cm. All the heroes depicted on the canvas, smear with glue and gently cover with pieces of thread of a suitable color. Thus process the entire drawing. In order for the contours of the drawn objects to be clear, you need to additionally circle them with glue-pencil and sprinkle them with spangles.

Greetings to all lovers of needlework! Under the influence of the holiday fuss, I was again included in the creative process of creating something new and curious. represent original scenery with which it is possible to decorate not only a holiday fir-tree, but also any space. The creation of such toys is a fascinating process that will appeal to both adults and children.

Last year, I already introduced you to my first experience. I made balls with knitting threads. But I did not upload the master class, but showed only the result. If you are interested in how they are made, then you can watch a detailed video in the article "".

Since I already have balls, although I distributed most of them back last year, but I still have a few left, I decided to experiment a little more and made flat jewelry from threads using this technique. This time, I will share with you the whole process and the result of my efforts.

MATERIALS FOR CREATING NEW YEAR JEWELRY FROM THREADS AND ADHESIVES

Threads for knitting different colors

PVA glue

Water

Tipped needles

Styrofoam Tray

Beautiful round strings or ribbons

Various decorative ornaments (sequins, glitter, ribbons, lace, etc.)

The first step is to draw on the thick paper patterns of the toys you want to make and cut them out. I got them like that. I decided that I would make a ball, a house, a star and a Christmas tree.

After that we proceed directly to work. For this, I used a foam tray. You can think of something else, but this item should be flat and well pierced with needles. Another point. Since the thickness of the tray is not very large, and for work it is necessary that the needles sit tight enough, I put a fabric folded several times under the bottom tray. Needles pass through the bottom of the tray and penetrate the material. Thus, they are firmly fixed and do not move under the tension of the threads.

At the bottom of the tray, put stencils of future toys and mark with the needles all corners of the figure and some intermediate places (optional). The more needles, the pattern is more bizarre and dense.

We take any deep plate and pour the PVA into it. If the glue is thick, then it must be diluted with a small amount of water. The thicker the resulting liquid, the denser and stronger the toy will be as a result. We put the threads on the plate with which we will work and let them thoroughly soak in the liquid. This is an important point, as non-impregnated threads will remain soft. And this is not what we need. But, keeping them there for too long is not worth it. One minute is enough.

After that, we pull the thread by the tail and pull it between the needles in various directions. Create a chaotic geometric pattern. Pay attention to the fact that I made the Christmas tree of two colors: white and green. Initially pulled a white thread, and then green. Thus, the Christmas tree on both sides is obtained in different colors. I pulled the sprocket completely out of red threads.

In the same way I made a house and a ball. By the way, on the house, I additionally made a window. It is carried out after the yellow threads are pulled between the needles for the main pattern.

This time, I did not wait for my toys to dry naturally, and dried them with a hairdryer. It took some time. Do not pull out the needles while drying!

After the product is almost dried, it must be carefully separated from the tray and dried on the back side. Here is what I got as a result. In principle, they can be left in this form. But, I decided that I would make them more artistic and decorative.

This part of the process took me most of the time. I scooped out what I have in the handicraft arsenal and began to come up with decorating options. As you can see, I used a variety of materials: a string of artificial pearls, sequins, silk ribbons, a pendant with a pebble, a gold ribbon and even the remains of a bead attachment.

Each toy was hung on round strings. These are the New Year's ornaments made of threads from me as a result.

To be honest, I liked the Christmas tree the most. She is beautiful in her simplicity. Pearl garlands make it very elegant and a little glamorous. I’m already thinking of making such Christmas trees as a gift to my friends, but only all of them are colorful. I am sure that they too should turn out beautiful and bright.

DIY wreath on a head from decorative flowers

Hair jewelry is very relevant now. They are worn by all female representatives, from small to large. One of the original accessories are wreaths and rims, ...

To make this Christmas decoration you will need colored paper, thin wire, stapler, glue. The ball that you see in the photo above was made of paper in three different colors (pink, blue and blue).

Work plan:

1. Take a small glass or glass (wine glass) and circle it on paper with a simple pencil 12 times. You should get 12 circles (4 circles of each color). Cut the circles with scissors.

  2. Fold each circle in half and stack them together as shown in the figure below. In the manufacture of this Christmas ball, we use paper in three colors (A, B and C). Stack the mugs in the following order - ABBCCAABBCCA. If you used paper of two colors (A and B) in the manufacture of the New Year's ball, then in this case you had to fold the circles in the following sequence - ABBAABBAABBA.

3. Fasten the paper circles with each other using a thin wire, wrapping it around them along the fold line. Twist the ends of the wire together. If you do not have wire, then you can fasten the circles using a conventional stapler.

4. Spread the circles and glue adjacent halves of the circles to each other. Each half should be connected to one neighboring at the top, and with the other - at the bottom.

DIY Christmas balls (option 2)

Cut out three circles of the same size but different color from colored cardboard or thick paper. In the first of them cut a cross (Fig. A), in the second circle make a horizontal cut in the middle and two cuts perpendicular to it in the direction from the circle to the center of the circle (Fig. B), and in the third - four cuts in the form of a cross, also along direction from the circle to the center (Fig. c). Circle “c” through circle “b”. In the circle “a”, bend the corners formed as a result of its incision; get a square hole. Insert circles “b” and “c” into it, having previously folded them. Then straighten the corners again (Fig. D). Attach a thread to the resulting ball.

Making a Christmas ball (option 3)

Very easy to make a New Year's ball from paper. To make it, you will need colored paper and glue.

Work plan:

1. Cut out eight identical circles from paper of different colors. Although, in fact, the number of circles can be any, but not less than three.

2. Bend each circle in half, face inward.

  3. Glue together the halves of the circles as shown in the photo below. The glue is applied to the wrong side of the halves of the circle.

4. Before finally sticking the Christmas ball, pass a thick thread or ribbon through it. You can also make a wonderful Christmas garland from a large number of paper balls.

How to make a Christmas ball (option 4)

Here we offer you to make such a cute and easy-to-make New Year's crafts from old postcards with your child.

  1. Using a small glass or wine glass, draw and cut eight identical circles.

  2. Using another object with a round base, but with a smaller diameter, draw and cut two small circles.

  3. Fold each large circle in half, and then again in half. See photo below.

  4. Glue the four folded large circles on one small circle, the remaining four on the other. As a result, you will get two halves of your future Christmas ball.

It’s IMPORTANT to correctly position the quarters of the big circles on the small circle. Try to gently straighten the “pockets” of the folded circles and pre-estimate the correct positioning before gluing. At the same time, focus on the very first photo, which shows a ready-made ball.

  5. Now you just have to glue the two finished halves together and, when the glue dries, straighten all the pockets. New Year's ball is ready!

Do-it-yourself ball of thread (cobweb balls)

Balls made of threads look very attractive, do not require special skills and cash costs. Many did them at school in labor lessons. And the use of these cobweb balls is unlimited: and simply as an element of decor, and as a lampshade, and as New Year's toys. All kinds of toys can be made of several of these balloons of thread: snowmen, birds, fish. In general, all that is enough for fantasy.

Making balls of thread:

1. You will need: scissors, balloons, greasy cream (petroleum jelly), any yarn, PVA glue, bowl.
  2. We part PVA glue with water, approximately 3: 1.
  3. Inflate the ball to the desired size, give it a round shape, tie it with a thread.
  4. After unwinding the required amount of yarn, put it in a bowl and leave it for 5 minutes.
  5. We smear the ball with fat cream and wrap it with yarn, for a start leaving a large distance between the thread.
  6. Gradually reduce the distance between the threads, until the whole ball is wrapped with yarn and resemble a cocoon.
  7. Cut the thread and glue it to the ball. Leave it to dry (at least for a day).
  8. Gradually untying the balloon, gently blow it off, and then remove it from the string cocoon; we attach a rope for fastening to a ball of thread on top.
  9. The ball is ready!

In the manufacture of the ball, you can use yarn (threads) of any color or dye with any paint or sparkles (spray). Especially for the New Year, you can decorate this string ball with tinsel, stars. Hang small balls on the Christmas tree, decorate the room with large ones. Fantasy more boldly!

If you cannot wind a thread soaked with glue on a ball, you can wind a dry thread, and then thoroughly soak it with glue with a brush or sponge.

Instead of glue, you can use sugar syrup or starch paste. To prepare the paste, take 3 teaspoons of starch in a glass of cold water, mix thoroughly and bring to a boil. Instead of a thread, you can take a thin copper wire and also wind it on a ball.

How to make a snowman out of thread

So, we need: threads (cotton or rayon is best), balloons, PVA glue (for 1 snowman - 120-150 gr.) And a large needle.

We take a tube of glue and pierce it with a needle and thread. The thread is obtained impregnated with glue. The needle can be removed, we still do not need it.

Inflate balls of different sizes (head, torso, arms).

Each ball must be wrapped with a thread (it is desirable that the threads fit snugly on the ball and do not hang)

We leave until the glue completely dries (preferably 5 hours). The shape should become solid. This is the biggest problem - to withstand time, children can not wait to start popping balls.

Hurrah! Everything is dry and you can pop the balls with a needle (with a sharp movement). Then pull out the pieces of the ball.

Our blanks "balls - cobwebs" are ready to become a SNOWMAN!

We glue the "Gossamers" together (the place of gluing can be pressed a little inward)

Now turn on the fantasy and draw a face! We made the nose out of Korean plasticine (it dries well and is very light), we painted it on our cheeks with our blush, and we made our mouth, scarf and broom from corrugated paper.

It remains to put on a snowman a hat ...
But we can’t figure out which one? Can someone tell me?

How to make a toy "Spider Web Balls" with your own hands?

Spider web balls are very original and beautiful decorations that can be seen on many designer Christmas trees. They do not have to be bought in stores for fabulous money, such decoration can be very easily done at home.

To do this, you will need:

Step-by-step instructions for making a spider ball:

  1. Take the balloon and inflate it to the desired size. Tie it and wind a thread about 10 cm long on the tail, you will make a loop of it and hang it to dry.
  2. Then apply petroleum jelly on the surface of the ball, so it will then be easier for you to disconnect from it.
  3. Soak the thread with glue. There are several ways to do this. If you use multi-colored threads, you get very interesting weaves.
  4. Pierce the tube with glue with a hot needle so that you get two holes, one opposite the other. Pull the thread through these holes (it will be lubricated with glue, passing through the tube);
  5. Take a convenient container and pour glue into it. Then soak the threads for 10-15 minutes. Be careful not to get tangled;
  6. Wind a dry thread on a ball. Skip step 4 and saturate the ball well with glue using a sponge or brush.
  7. We fix the end of the thread impregnated with glue on the ball. To do this, you can use adhesive tape, protective tape, tape. Then wind the thread around the ball like a ball, each turn in the opposite direction. If you use a thick thread, then you need to do less revolutions, and if you use a thick thread, you need to do more revolutions. During operation, carefully ensure that the thread is well moistened with glue.
  8. After you finish winding, leave the thread for the loop again. Cut the thread and roll the ball to dry. In order for the ball to dry well, it needs to be dried for about two days. The finished ball must be solid. Do not hang the product to dry over the heater, the material from which balloons are made does not like this.
  9. When the glue has dried well and hardened, it is necessary to remove the balloon from the cobweb. There are several ways to do this:
  10. Using a pencil with an eraser, peel off the cobweb from the ball. Then gently pierce the ball with a needle and heal from the cobweb;
  11. Untie the tail of the ball so that it is blown away, and then heal it from the cobweb.

  12. The resulting design can be decorated with beads, feathers, beads, ribbons and other accessories. It can also be painted with spray paint.
  13. All your ball is ready. By the way, if you stick together several such balls of different sizes, you can get a nice snowman.

DIY Christmas tree made of threads

Another simple version of the Christmas tree made of threads, which can be done with children. For this New Year’s toy you will need: a foam cone, threads for knitting, felt, a pompom for the top and any elements for decoration. Lubricate the foam base with glue and wind the thread tightly. We pass the thread into the pompom and glue it to the top. From the felt we cut out a circle with a diameter of the base of the cone, pass through it a thread with a bell and glue it to the base of the Christmas tree. Now it remains only to decorate a small forest guest and you can hang! Step-by-step MK see below.

You can make original Christmas-tree decorations from threads for knitting and glue. It can be stars, Christmas trees, balls and other figures. The main thing is to learn the technology, and then it's up to the imagination. So, for manufacturing you will need: thick yarn, PVA glue, a disposable tray (thermal box or something similar), safety pins (matches or small cloves are possible). Put the desired figure on the tray with pins. Thread the threads thoroughly with glue (better pour the glue into the container and place the thread there). Wrap the thread around the outline of the figure, and then fill the interior. Wait for the glue to dry completely and remove the pins. Attach the thread and the Christmas tree toy made of glue and thread is ready!

Balloons are very popular as crafts from threads and glue; they are also called spider line balls. You will need for needlework: threads for sewing, PVA glue, a balloon, oil (sunflower or for the body) or petroleum jelly. First, inflate the balloon to the size you need. Then grease its surface with any greasy oil or petroleum jelly. Pour glue into the container. Wrap the threads on the "greasy" surface of the ball, do not forget to leave the "extra" threads so that the cobweb of the ball has something to hang, then lower it into a bowl of glue and twist it well. After all the manipulations, we send our ball to dry. After the glue has completely dried, the ball must be removed, this is done by piercing the hole.

If simple crafts from threads, in your opinion, are for wimps, then it's time to move on to serious needlework! It's time to get a hook from your needlework box and go to the real hand-made.

So, for those who have just begun their acquaintance with crochet, we offer a simple three-dimensional herringbone. For the manufacture of which you will need: threads, hook, paper cone, glue. We collect a chain of air loops (you just did it at labor lessons at school), and then glue this chain in a circle to a paper cone. The Christmas tree is ready, at will it can be additionally decorated.

Crocheted Christmas tree: step by step MK with a photo and description

For those who are even a little familiar with crocheting, we have an excellent master class on creating a knitted Christmas tree. There are no tricks here, simple knitting with a crochet column. For those who are not familiar with the technique of knitting, we recommend watching this instructional video. So, for a fluffy Christmas tree you will need: threads for knitting "grass", a hook, beads and ribbons for decoration.

We turn to the description of the work: you need to knit the Christmas tree in two threads. To get started, dial 56 air loops and lock them into a ring. The second row, like all subsequent ones, is knitted with crochets. Starting from the third row, it is necessary to reduce 4 loops in each row, i.e. divide the number of loops of the row by 4, and we get the number of loops that do not need to be knitted (56/4 \u003d 14, i.e. in the third row we do not knit every 14 loops). The number of loops of the 4th row will be reduced by four and will be 52 (56-4 \u003d 52). Again, we carry out simple mathematical calculations and we get that you need to skip every 13 loops (52/4 \u003d 13). And so we continue. In the last rows, the reduction will have to be done by eye.

Now the Christmas tree is ready, it remains only to decorate the knitted beauty, and you can put it in a place of honor!

With the help of a hook you can knit not only Christmas trees, but also other thematic crafts, for example, a Christmas wreath. From the threads, make 15-16 air loops and lock them into a ring, then knit three more rows with a regular single crochet, then fasten the thread. The wreath is ready. For a decor from a red thread, make 30-35 air loops, stretch them through a wreath and tie a bow. Crocheted wreath ready!

Crocheted christmas toys

Another option for Christmas crafts made of threads can be a knitted cover. You can tie the “clothes” for a store ball, which, for example, has lost its appearance, or, as in our version, for an old light bulb, thus transforming an unnecessary item into a Christmas tree decoration.
