Crochet children's skirt: knitting pattern and master class

For a children's skirt 30 centimeters long, we will need 100% mercerized cotton yarn, as well as a hook number two. The length of a skein of this yarn weighing 50 grams is 169 m. This skirt for a baby requires approximately 5 skeins of yarn.

First you need to cast on 120 air loops and close them into a ring using a connecting post. Next, you should knit in the following way: the first air loop of the lift, and then knit each air loop with a half-stitch, the last half-stitch is connected to the first air loop of the lift with a connecting stitch.

Then you need to start knitting elastic using embossed concave and convex columns: 3 convex column and 2 concave columns and so on. After you knit 3 rows, you need to make a hole for the lace: 2 air loops instead of concave relief columns. Next you need to knit 4 more rows behind the elastic pattern, but in the air loops left for the lace, knit a double crochet.

This will make approximately 25 rows. In appearance, the knitting will look like a mesh on which a frill is applied. Next, you need to knit the bottom of the skirt without breaking the thread. After the elastic band, you should attach a thread to the first row and knit a frill according to the pattern. Frills should be repeated after the same number of rows. The total number of frills will be five or six.

The next stage in which the skirt is knitted is the belt, for which you need to pick up three air loops and close them in a ring.

Then you need to knit any flower. Then knit about 195 air loops and tie them on both sides, while grabbing the flower in order to thread the lace through the hole. When the lace is threaded, you need to knit a second flower of the same type. You can also sew a regular elastic band to the inside of the elastic, so the skirt will not move out.

Openwork skirt:

We have been knitting cute things for a long time - additions to our main wardrobe. I think it's time to put aside scarves and mittens and get down to serious master classes. How do you like an openwork crocheted skirt, knitted from yarn the color of young greenery and hot sun?

Surely, on the eve of spring, everyone is pretty tired of gray winter clothes. I want blue skies and bright colors in my wardrobe. I suggest you think in advance about what we will put on your favorite girls when it’s time to take off their coats and down jackets, and at the same time we’ll look at how to crochet a skirt for a girl.

The lace pattern will add lightness and elegance to the product. A little daughter or granddaughter will look like a real princess in a knitted skirt. Well, let's take the hook in our hands and begin to work magic on the loops. I'm sure the work of knitting a skirt will be a breeze!

You can knit this skirt to any size. I knitted it for a 3 year old girl with a waist circumference of 50 cm and a hip circumference of 54 cm.

For knitting I used Lira yarn from Vita Cotton (60% acrylic, 40% cotton, 50 g/150 m), I needed 2 skeins yellow color and 3 green and hook No. 2.5.

We start knitting a skirt with an elastic waistband. We knit a chain of air loops equal to the height of the elastic band. I will have an elastic band 6 cm high, I knitted 25 air loops.

1st row: insert the hook into the second loop of the chain from the hook and knit a half single crochet (connecting stitch).

Until the end of the row, we knit 1 single crochet into each loop. In this row I have 24 half-columns.

2nd row: at the end of the first row we knit 1 air loop, unfold the knitting and starting from the first loop of the base - the top of the half-column of the previous row, into each loop behind the back wall of the loop we knit 1 half-crochet.

In this row we also have 24 half-columns. The next rows are knitted exactly the same way. We knit 1 air lifting loop, unfold the knitting and knit 1 half single crochet into each loop behind the back wall of the loop.

In this way we knit an elastic band of the length we need. I am knitting this skirt for a 3-year-old girl with a waist circumference of 50 cm and a hip circumference of 54 cm. The elastic band made from half double crochets is very elastic and stretches well, so its unstretched length is equal to ABOUT - 8 or 10 cm.

I knitted an elastic band 44 cm long.

We connect the ends of the elastic with half double crochets.

Turn the belt right side out.

For a beautiful transition, we tie the edge with a chain stitch. Chain stitch is air loops lying on the canvas.

We knit air loops into each row of half-columns; on the elastic band, these rows are clearly expressed - braid, notch, braid, notch...

Insert the hook into the loop of the braid,

grab the thread

and knit a loop on the hook,

insert the hook into the next loop-notch, which is located between the two braids,

grab the thread

and knit a loop on the hook.

In this way we knit until the end of the row. Now count the number of loops you got when tying.

To proceed to knitting the pattern, we will knit a preparatory row of double crochets. The number of loops in the pattern must be a multiple of 8 (i.e., it must be divisible by 8). I got 210 loops, 6 loops are missing for the multiplicity. I need to evenly add 6 double crochets in a row: I will divide 210 stitches by 6 (210:6=35), so in every 35 stitch I will increase and knit 2 double crochets into this loop. I marked these stitches with knitting markers. It is not necessary to make these calculations; if you are missing 2 or 3 loops, you can distribute and mark these loops by eye.

So, we knit 3 lifting air loops and in each loop behind the back wall we knit 1 double crochet,

and knit 2 double crochets behind the back wall of those loops that are marked with a marker.

We close the row with a connecting post into a 3rd lifting air loop. I now have 216 double crochets in the row (we count 3 chain stitches as 1 stitch).

Let's start knitting the pattern. We will knit it according to this pattern:

1st row: we knit 1 chain lifting loop and a single crochet in the same base loop,

We skip 3 loops of the base and knit a single crochet into the next loop.

*skip 3 loops again and knit a single crochet into the next loop*

We knit from * to the end of the row.

At the end of the row, having knitted the last single crochet, we knit 2 chain stitches

and close the row with a double crochet, which we knit into the first single crochet of this row.

2nd row: we knit 1 chain lifting loop and a single crochet into the arch.

In the next arch we knit 3 double crochets,

5 air loops

and 3 more double crochets in the same arch.

We knit a single crochet into the middle loop of the next arch.

*In the next arch we knit 3 double crochets, 5 chain stitches and 3 more double crochets,

in the middle loop of the next arch we knit a single crochet*.

We knit from * to the end of the row, we close the row with a connecting stitch in the first single crochet of this row.

3rd row: To move on to knitting from the top of the middle column of the previous row, we knit 2 more connecting columns.

insert the hook into the middle loop of the arch and knit a single crochet, then knit 3 chain loops

and 2 double crochets with a common top, we insert the hook into the middle double crochets of the previous row,

and a single crochet in the middle loop of the next arch, again 3 air loops,

repeat from * to the end of the row and knit * 2 double crochets with a common top, inserting the hook into the middle double crochets of the previous row, 3 chain stitches, single crochet into the middle loop of the arch, 3 chain stitches*.

At the end of the row, having knitted a single crochet into an arch and 3 chain stitches, we knit 1 untied double crochet into the middle double crochet of the previous row,

insert the hook into the 3rd chain lifting loop and knit a connecting stitch, knitting 2 loops on the hook.

4th row: we knit 3 air loops for lifting and 1 more air loop for the arch (4 air loops in total),

in the middle loop of the arch we knit a double crochet,

*knit 1 chain stitch and double crochet into the single crochet of the previous row,

knit 1 chain stitch and double crochet into the middle loop of the next arch,

we knit 1 chain loop and double crochet into the common top of the columns of the previous row, 1 chain loop and double crochet into the middle loop of the next arch*.

We repeat from * to the end of the row and close the row with a connecting post in the 3rd lifting air loop.

In the 5th row we will make increases, we need to add 1 pattern repeat, i.e. 8 loops. To expand the skirt further, you can add 2 repeats, i.e. 16 loops. Because I have only 216 loops, in the 4th row I got 108 cells (216:2 = 108), to evenly add loops I will divide 108 by 8 = 13.5, so in every 13 cell I will knit 2 double crochets. I will mark these cells with knitting markers.

So, 5 row: we knit 3 air lifting loops,

in each arch in this row we knit 1 double crochet and in each top of the double crochets of the previous row we knit 1 double crochet,

In the cells marked with a marker we knit 2 double crochets. We close this row with a connecting column into a 3rd lifting air loop.

6th row: we knit 3 air loops for lifting and 1 air loop for the arch (4 air loops in total), * skip 1 base loop and knit a double crochet*. We knit from * to the end of the row and close the row with a connecting stitch in the 3rd lifting air loop.

7th row: We knit this row like the 5th row, but without increases, we knit 3 lifting chain stitches, we knit 1 double crochet into each arch and we knit 1 double crochet into each double crochet of the previous row.

We close the row with a connecting post into a 3rd lifting air loop.

We knit 3 more rows with a yellow thread, according to this pattern:

Attach the thread and knit 3 lifting air loops. In the same base loop we knit a double crochet,

we knit 2 air loops, skip 3 base loops and in the next loop we knit a single crochet and 2 air loops,

*again we skip 3 loops of the base and in the next loop we knit 2 double crochets, 2 air loops and 2 more double crochets in the same loop, then 2 air loops,

We skip 3 loops and in the next we knit a single crochet and 2 air loops.*

Repeat from * to the end of the row. We close the row with a connecting post into a 3rd lifting air loop.

We knit 3 lifting chain stitches and in the next loop we knit a double crochet,

in double crochets of the previous row we knit 1 double crochet and 2 chain stitches,

we knit the next element in exactly the same way * 2 double crochets in the double crochets of the previous row (1 double crochet in each loop), 2 chain crochets, 2 double crochets in the arch, 2 chain crochets and 2 double crochets in the double crochets of the previous row (1 double crochet in each loop) and 2 air loops*

We knit from * to the end of the row. We close the row with a connecting post into a 3rd lifting air loop.

knit 2 air loops,

at the top of the double crochet of the previous row we knit from 2 double crochets,

at the next top of the column of the previous row we knit a cone of 2 double crochets,

We knit the next element * 2 double crochets with a common top, 2 chain stitches, a cone of 2 double crochets, 5 chain crochets, a cone of 2 double crochets, 2 chain loops and 2 stitches with a common crochet*. Repeat from * to the end of the row. We close the row with a connecting stitch at the top of the first double crochet of this row.

Besides, no one else in the world has such things. Hand-sewn and knitted items are also a budget-friendly way to update a child’s wardrobe.

In today's article we will tell you how to crochet a skirt for a girl. An openwork skirt will be a wonderful summer gift for your little fashionista. We will introduce you to various ways of knitting children's skirts, and also give you some recommendations on how and with what it is best to wear such things.

Knitting popular patterns

To create light, summer skirts with intricate patterns, a crochet hook is more suitable. It is better to leave knitting needles for thicker, winter items - warm dresses, sweaters, etc. We invite you to get acquainted with two interesting models of skirts for girls that can be crocheted. Knitting patterns are quite simple, so even a novice needlewoman can master them.

Zigzag

“Zigzag” is one of the most beautiful and popular patterns in the crochet technique. It looks especially impressive when knitted from threads different colors Therefore, to create this model, it is recommended to use yarn of several shades.

To knit a skirt with a zigzag pattern for a younger girl school age you will need:

  • several skeins of bright thread (it is better to choose 100% cotton);
  • hook No. 1;
  • scissors;
  • pin for marking rows.

To determine the required amount of yarn, we recommend that you first knit a small sample - this way you can understand how much thread is used for a given pattern and approximately calculate the required number of skeins. Then you can start directly working on the skirt.

In the instructions for creating the pattern, we used the following abbreviations:

  • “VP” – air loop;
  • “Runway” – air lift loop;
  • “Dc” – double crochet;
  • “SS2N” – double crochet stitch;
  • “SBN” – single crochet;
  • “SS” – connecting post.

We knit the product in the round, moving from bottom to top. The number of stitches in the cast-on row should be divisible by 17.

I row: 3 runways, 4 dc with one top, (5 dc, 5 dc with a common base, 5 dc, 5 dc with one top), repeat the points in brackets, finish row 1 dc;

II row: 1 runway, then knit RLS to the end of the row, finishing row 1 SS.

Next, we knit each odd row as I, and each even row as II. Every 2 rows we change the color of the threads. Having knitted 18 rows, the next row needs to be knitted, making decreases, since here we will begin to form the waist for the skirt. We make decreases like this: instead of 5 dcs with a common base, we knit 3 dcs with a common base. Then we knit with yarn of a different shade instead of 3 dc, 1 dc. We decrease the loops along the edges, one on each side. Next, we knit one row of dc in the round. The next row is RLS. Then repeat the last two rows five times. Finally, we knit 5 rows of sc in the round. We fasten the thread, hide the tail and cut it.

Tiered skirt

Your little princess will definitely love the fluffy, openwork skirt, crocheted. To make the skirt voluminous, we suggest you knit several tiers of frills. To work you will need thin cotton threads and a hook No. 1.5. If you wish, you can knit a plain or multi-colored skirt. In the latter case, you will need yarn in 2 or 4 different shades. In addition to the hook and thread, you will need a thin elastic band to match - with its help we can make the waistband of the product more elastic. The knitting pattern we present below is designed for a skirt for a 4 or 5 year old child.

The skirt belt will be knitted using the fillet lace technique. We cast on 18 VP, then knit a dc and close the row into a ring. Next we knit: 1 dc, 2 ch to the end of the row. In every 8th loop we knit an increase according to the pattern: Dc, 2 ch, dc. How fluffy the skirt will be depends on how many increments you make. We knit 16 rows in this way. After completing work on the fillet mesh, without breaking the thread, we proceed to creating the first tier of the skirt.

I row: 3 runway, 2 dc from the same base, (2 ch, skip 2 loops, 5 dc), continue knitting points in brackets, complete the row with 2 dc, which we knit into the first loop of the row, then knit 1 dc into the third runway.

II row: 3 VP, 2 VP, 1 Dc from the same base, 2 Dc, (3 VP, 2 Dc in the next two Dcs, go to the third of the five Dcs of the previous row and knit a Dc, VP, Dc into it, then knit into the next Dcs 1 dc each), repeat the items in brackets until the end of the row, completing row 2 dc and dc.

III row: 4 runways (in an arch of 2 VPs we knit 3 СС2Н, 2 VP, 3 СС2Н, then in an arch of 2 VP we knit 1 RLS, we skip the next 2 SSNs, in the third SSN we knit 1 СС2Н), repeat the points in brackets until the end of the row, we complete Row 3 SS.

IV row:(2 СС2Н, in an arch of 2 VP we knit 3 СС2Н, 2 VP, 3 СС2Н, then we knit 2 СС2Н, skip 5 loops), we repeat the points in brackets until the end of the row, we complete the row 2 СС.

V row:(3 СС2Н, in an arch of 2 VP we knit 3 СС2Н, 2 VP, 3 СС2Н, then we knit 3 СС2Н, skip 4 loops), we repeat the points in brackets until the end of the row, we complete row 1 СС.

VI row:(3 СС2Н in an arch of 2 VP we knit 2 СС2Н, 5 VP, 2 СС2Н, then we knit 2 VP), we repeat the points in brackets until the end of the row, we replace the 1st СС2Н with 4 VP, we complete the row 3 СС.

VII row:(1 runway, knit picot 4 times + 2 sc, 1 sc, skip 5 ch), repeat points in brackets until the end of the row, complete row 1 SS.

We knit the second tier of the skirt in the same way in the 1st row of fillet lace, and the third tier in the 8th row.

A multi-tiered children's skirt can be decorated at the waist with a wide satin ribbon. For the ribbon we knit beautiful openwork harnesses.

The first seven rows consist of 3 dc each. Then you need to knit these rows, moving from left to right. The posts and lifting loops in this case will represent arches for knitting. We tie the rows like this: 3 runways, 3 dc, 1 sc in the side loop of the sixth row, 6 sc in the side loop of the fifth row, 1 sc in the side loop of the fourth row, 6 sc in the base of the column of the third row, 1 sc in the second row, 3 dc in the first row. In the end part we knit 6 dcs, then move on to the side part. We knit 3 dc, 1 sc, 6 dc, 1 sc, 6 dc, 1 sc, 3 dc, and in the upper part we knit 5 dc. We finish knitting 1 SS in the third PP.

I saw this wonderful skirt from a craftswoman Olga Verenich . She knitted this product from thread “Successful pekhorka” (50 gr./220 m.), for ages 4-5 years, hook No. 1.5, consumption of 4 skeins of thread (total 200 gr.).

I knitted my skirt from thread “CoCo” (vita cotton) - 50 g./240 m., for the age of 6-7 years, consumption of 6 skeins (main color - 300 g.) and 1 skein ( White color- 50 gr.), hook No. 1.5.

1.Getting started: It is necessary to tie the belt around the hips. 1 rub.: We knit a “pigtail” of 17 air loops, 3 ch. for lifting; turning the work around. 2 rubles: We knit a double crochet (st. s/n) 4 ch from the hook, then knit 1 tbsp into each air loop of the “braid” to the end. s/n. It should be 17 tbsp. s/n; * 3 v.p. for lifting; turn the work. 3 rubles: We knit 1 double crochet in each double crochet of the bottom row. * Repeat from * Knit like this until you get a belt of the required length (diagram 1).

2. We connect the resulting belt. I crocheted my belt without breaking the working thread, half double crochet. To do this, I folded the edges of the product together with the right sides facing each other. Next, insert the hook into the loops of both parts, grab the working thread and pull it through both loops, while maintaining minimal tension. So we knit from the edge to the end of the other edge. Then the working thread was not broken.

3. Now we knit the fillet mesh from the waistband.

1 rub.: 3rd century p. for lifting, 1 in. p., 1 tbsp. s/n at the base of the belt (between double crochets), again 1 st. p., 1 tbsp. s/n at the base of the belt, and so on until the end of the row. Connect each row connecting loop; 2 r. - 7 rubles: 3rd century p. for lifting, 1 in. p., 1 tbsp. s/n in a double crochet of the bottom row and so on until the end of each row (see diagram 2.).

8 rubles: In this row we make an increase every 10 sts. s/n, knit an additional 1 tbsp. s/n and 1 v.p (diagram 3).

We will knit ruffles for each such row. Length loin mesh depends on how many rows of ruffle you need.

My skirt consists of 5 rows of ruffle, i.e. 1-. I knitted a ruffle from the edge of the waistband, the 2nd ruffle from the 8th row of the fillet mesh, the 3rd ruffle from the 16th row of the mesh, the 4th ruffle from the 24th row of the mesh, the 5th ruffle from the 32nd row (last) of the mesh. Accordingly, the addition in the fillet mesh was made in 8, 16, 24 rows, except for the 32nd row (the last one). In the first ruffle there were 38 reports, in the second there were 43 rapports, in the third ruffle there were 47 rapports, and in the fourth and fifth ruffles there were 52 reports each.

4. After the mesh is knitted, we begin knitting the ruffles. We knit the first ruffle from the edge of the belt (diagram 4).

We knit the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th ruffles from the fillet mesh - from those rows where we made the addition and from the last row of the mesh (diagram 5).

Each ruffle consists of seven rows. I knitted the 6th and 7th row with white thread. This is of course according to your desire and imagination.

5. Now we need to take a hat elastic (slightly less than the circumference of the hips), sew its edges and, using a binding, attach it to the top of the belt. I took the hat elastic to match the color of the main thread, and tied it with white thread alternating 2 tbsp. b/n at the base of the belt with 1 tbsp. b/n.

6. When our skirt is knitted, let's start decorating. Need to link 4 openwork stripes (loop belts) under the strap. I also knitted them with white thread.

Beginning of work: we knit a “pigtail” of 3 vp, 3 vp. lifting, turning the work, * knit 1 tbsp. s/n in the next two air loops “braids”; again 3 ch. lifting, turning the work.* Repeat from * 6 more times. In total you should get 7 rows from the st. s/n. Now, without tearing off the working thread, make 3 ch. rise and knit in a circle into arches (see diagram 6).

7. We attach belt loops to the waistband of our skirt. It is necessary to iron the skirt, preferably through a waffle towel. Next, take a satin ribbon of the required length, thread it through the belt loops, and make a bow.

8. If the satin ribbon is not processed, then you need to do the following: 1) Take a board (wooden cutting board). 2) Take a knife (which you don’t mind) and heat it over the fire (on the stove - burner). 3) Place one edge satin ribbon onto the board and carefully trim the edge with a hot knife (preferably with a quick movement so as not to leave yellow or black spots on the tape). We also process the other edge of the tape.

That's all - our skirt is ready.
