I often apply it to damp hair, but sometimes to dry hair.

The fluid significantly facilitates combing, adds smoothness and shine without sacrificing volume. When applied to damp hair, the result is better than when applied to dry hair. The fluid is a very good time saver - if you are too lazy to apply balm to your hair, it will soften it just as well and protect it from breakage.
