Master Class

« wind catcher»

For preschool children.

Thinking through the organization and management of observations children, the teacher should take into account age, specific development and level of cognitive activity of children aged 1.5–4 years. Babies' attention is unstable; they are attracted to bright, moving objects.

Make for children« wind catcher» , I was pushed by his double « dream Catcher» . And so for our "catcher" we will need literally everything you have at hand at home for handicrafts: wire, thread different colors(the brighter the more beautiful product you can do it, ribbons, lace, beads, buttons, shells, colored feathers, colored paper. The selection of material for making a dream catcher depends on your idea, what theme you want to make it on. If the theme is marine, then it would be appropriate to use shells, etc. Today I suggest you do Dear colleagues the simplest and most economical option.

1. First we cut out a ring from cardboard, (diameter is at your discretion, or you can use a heart).

2. Then we braid the ring with thread (you can apply glue to the base).

3. When the ring is ready, weave inside "cobweb", you need to string beads onto the thread while weaving. We attach each bead using a double girth.

4. And after we have the ring ready, we decorate it "feathers" made of colored paper that hang from a ring.

Periodically, while visiting the web, I came across material on the use of plastic bottles as a sound source. The essence of the question is simple, a long rectangular hole is cut out in the bottle and the bottle becomes resonator sound of a certain frequency. Out of sporting interest I decided to repeat this with my own hands.

The music of wind

design. The first experience was unsuccessful. A bottle mounted on a pole made a quiet and short howl in a strong wind. Difficulties were created by the unstable wind - there were buildings, trees and forests all around. Probably, people living in the steppe or on the coast will not have problems with the setup. After browsing the forums I found responses and comments that this thing does not work. How does it not work if a whole choir of bottles sounds on the original site! After carefully reading the materials on the topic and ruining many plastic bottles, the result was obtained. I share my experience.

How to make wind chimes with your own hands

Finding the angle of incidence of the wind. The wind, as indicated in the primary sources, must blow on the bottle at a certain angle. Determining this angle in unstable winds was not easy in my case. The solution was found using vehicles. I used this method to calibrate and take characteristics from small wind generators. The method is simple: the bottle is placed in an open car window and the oncoming air flow should flow onto the side of the bottle with a rectangular hole. At different car speeds, for example, 10 km/h, 20 km/h, 30 km/h, we slowly rotate the bottle around the axis of symmetry and find the position at which the sound will appear. Let's remember this position; for simplicity, I used the following memorization scheme. If we imagine the dial of a clock and assume that the wind blows into the slot of the bottle from 9 o'clock, then when the bottle rotates and a sound appears, we remember the position of the slot, for example 10-30. When making adjustments, you are, of course, not driving and do not interfere with traffic with your measurements. Don't worry if you haven't found the right position, not all bottles sound.

Bottle selection

I made the slots according to the recommended sizes, but not all bottles sounded. The main reason is weak the rigidity of the bottle, especially when making long slots. The edges of the slot begin to diverge already during manufacturing, and can deviate slightly in light winds and lead to loss of sound. We must try to choose bottles with thicker walls and the correct geometric shape. The presence of ring grooves, in addition to decoration, indicates that with such tricks the manufacturer increases the strength of the bottle while reducing the thickness of its walls.

Making a slot

First, we make a small slot with the sharp end of the scissors, and then, using the markings or by eye, checking the dimensions, we cut out a rectangular hole. It is better to work on the edges with small nail scissors. I quote recommendations on the size of the slots. “Different cuts - different sounds: a cut of 8 cm by 10 mm produces low sound. A cut of 11 cm by 9 mm produces a medium frequency sound. A 20 cm by 6 mm cut produces a high-pitched whistle, but requires a very precise wind angle. A 16cm by 17mm cut produces a raspy sound.”
It’s not a fact that there will be exactly the right sound or whether it will exist at all. Precise adherence to dimensions did not always make the bottle sound shaped. Some slots produce a high sound at high wind speeds of ~40 km/h and a low sound at 10-15 km/h.

Bottle fastening

At the beginning of the experiments, I simply placed the neck of the bottle tightly onto a specially fitted end of the pole or screwed the cap with a self-tapping screw to the end of the pole. I also used a horizontal fastening method. I screwed several bottle caps to the post with self-tapping screws, and then screwed the bottles into the caps until they stop and adjusted the position of the slot by rotating the cap with the bottle. But, as you understand, such a mount didn't allow obtain a long and stable sound due to changes in wind direction.

Getting consistent sound

The task is to ensure that the bottle is correctly oriented towards the wind from any direction. This is done using a special weather vane. I recommend reading where it is explained in detail manufacturing homemade weather vane to fight dark forces;). The design can accommodate from one to six bottles (I didn’t install more, although more are possible). I give an example of production.

1. Details of a homemade weather vane

A pole with a length of 80-120 cm and a cross-section of 30 by 40 mm was used as a rocker. To secure the bottles, a piece of dense polystyrene foam (packaging will not work!!!) with a circular cross-section with a diameter of 120 mm and a thickness of 50 mm was used (of course, you can use a square or rectangular piece). A hole is made in the center of the circle slightly smaller than the cross section of the pole. For convenience, I ground the end of the pole with a knife to a round section.

2. Assembling the rocker arm

We insert the end of the pole into the foam with force. The circle should be held firmly on the pole. Let's assemble a weather vane from four bottles. We mark two holes for the screws in the bottle caps. For better airflow, we secure the bottles in the shape of the letter “X”. First, we secure each cover with only one screw. The second screw will be screwed in after adjusting the position of the slot for the best sound. Screw the bottles into the caps until they stop. If the position of the slot relative to the wind is known in advance, then mark the working position, unscrew the bottle and secure the lid with a second screw. For greater reliability of fastening, the self-tapping screw can be screwed at an angle to the lid.

Screw on the lid

Marking the position

3. Install a homemade weather vane

Determine the center of gravity of the rocker arm. Bottles must be screwed on. In the center of gravity we drill a hole for the future axis of rotation. In the design shown, this is a bicycle spoke. We fix the structure on a pole or pole. Don't forget to place a few under the rocker washers for easy rotation of the weather vane into the wind.

4. Adjusting the sound

If necessary, check the position of the bottle relative to the wind. When the sound from the bottle is the best, mark the position of the cap and, after dismantling the weather vane, finally fix the cap. Ready! .

When it rains, water may accumulate in the bottom bottles. From the top bottles, water will leak through the mounting holes in the lids. It is useful to make a small hole diameter up to 1 mm (does not affect resonance properties).

The design of the homemade weather vane is durable and has withstood two hurricanes and a winter. In winter, snow is packed into bottles, but in sunny weather it evaporates (dark kvass bottles are useful here :)).

The design had the greatest effect on relatives in winter (there was little wind and there were no extraneous sounds from tree leaves). The result is something like this. “In a dark dark forest on a dark dark night in the corner of the yard someone was howling.”. It cannot be said that the sound from four bottles is strong, but at a distance of several tens of meters it is distinguishable in the general noise from the wind. For greater euphony, I do not recommend getting carried away with high-pitched sounds to provoke conflicts with relatives and neighbors. In this part, the design can be classified as a “dirty trick”. With mid-frequency sounds, “wind music” does not tire and is probably something close and useful from feng shui in these sounds there is.

There can be many types of wind chime weather vane designs and sound patterns. Send photos and videos of your solutions.

Wind chimes or air bells are a universal Feng Shui talisman for home and garden that will help transform negative energy into positive energy. In addition, this is a beautiful and original accessory that will perfectly complement the decor of your home or garden, giving them a special charm and filling them with positive energy. Not a single purchased talisman can compare with a homemade one, so a wind chime created with your own hands from simple scrap materials will be much more effective and efficient than even the most sophisticated Chinese original.

Making your own talisman is quite easy. The main thing is desire, patience, sleight of hand and a little free time for creativity, and how and from what you can make interesting options wind music, we will be happy to advise you.

DIY autumn wind chime

This touching maple version of multi-colored foliage dancing with the wind, full of romance and poetry of leaf fall, is ideal for autumn decor. If autumn is your favorite season, then this autumn decoration will delight you all year round. Even in calm, windless weather, in the autumn music of the wind, you can hear the songs of rain and the rustle of fallen leaves underfoot...

Necessary materials:

  • live or artificial Maple leaves
  • 2 thin sticks
  • threads
  • beads and other decorations

1. First of all, we create a cross onto which the threads with leaves will be attached. To do this, place 2 thin sticks or twigs perpendicular to each other to form a cross. We firmly fix the intersection with thread.

2. Now we begin to string beads and leaves onto the thread. It is advisable to tie heavy beads to the ends, securing them with knots on both sides. The leaves should be selected so that they are located on the thread in order of increasing or decreasing. It is advisable to alternate the leaves on the thread with beads.

3. Having made 8 threads with leaves and beads, we tie them to the cross. Ready! Autumn wind chimes will work great on the veranda or at the front door.

Homemade wind chime made from bamboo

It’s not easy to get hold of bamboo in our area, but aren’t we magicians?! If we want bamboo, then there will be bamboo! And let someone just try to say that this is not bamboo - we will quickly show them where... feng shui spends the winter! 🙂

1. To make bamboo tubes, we will need cardboard tubes, sleeves, spools or something similar. You can find these treasures in a hardware store. Cut the tubes into pieces different lengths. One cut must be at an angle. From the side of the straight cut, we drill two holes that will be needed for subsequent fastening of the structure. The number of tubes is determined individually. For particularly impressionable people, for greater effect, we advise you to delve into esoteric literature and do everything... according to Feng Shui.

2. We cover the blanks with several layers of paper. To imitate the knotted structure of bamboo, we glue rings of cord to the tubes and also cover them with a layer of paper.

3. Now the workpieces should be puttied, dried and all surfaces thoroughly sanded.

4. Arm yourself with a brush, different shades acrylic paint and begin to paint the future “bamboo” stems, trying to achieve maximum resemblance to the natural bamboo surface. We select nodes more dark color.

5. While the bamboo is drying, we are preparing to fasten the structure. To do this, we take two metal, plastic or wooden rings and trim them with cord using the macrame technique or use another option for assembling the mobile, which satisfies from a practical and aesthetic point of view.

6. Using cords, we connect all the structural elements into a single whole and hang our bamboo masterpiece in a suitable place, which we determine by “purring” or in accordance with Feng Shui.

Wind chimes in feng shui style

To manufacture the structure, first of all, you will need metal tubes made of copper, steel, aluminum, brass or other metal. We select the tubes according to the sound we like. Chrome-plated pipes and metal tubes for a vacuum cleaner sound very good 😉 Using a pipe cutter or a hacksaw, we cut off a piece of pipe and select a length that gives a good sound. The pipe fastening is located at a distance of 22.4% from the end - this is where the vibration point will be. By drilling a small hole in the pipe and using tape, we obtain the simplest support. Now we add one or more beaters to the structure so that when there are gusts of wind, they hit the tubes closer to the middle. The softer the tongue, the softer the sound will be.

Birch bark wind music

The East is famous for bamboo. It is from hollow bamboo stems that air bells are traditionally made in China. Well, Russia is famous for its birch bark. So why not make a wind chime out of it? Just one look at this touching composition is enough to hear the quiet rustle of birch leaves.

1. Before work, remove dust from the birch bark by wiping it with a damp cloth or washing it in warm water and drying it.

2. The layers of birch bark from which we will make envelopes must be free of compactions and sagging.

3. Using scissors, we “cut” the birch bark into identical rectangles.

4. Using a hole punch, we make holes in the birch bark folded in half and thread dyed raffia through the round holes, which we use to sew the envelopes together. We fix the raffia with ordinary knots.

5. Place a miniature test tube in a rough envelope.

6. The basis for the composition will be a birch branch, in which you need to drill five holes at the same distance from each other.

7. We pull undyed raffia through the holes in the birch branch and weave its fibers into an elastic cord of arbitrary length. Some deliberate carelessness with rough knots and loose strands of raffia will fit perfectly into the overall spirit of the composition, creating an ideal background for modest meadow flowers.

8. Using the upper corner through the punched hole, we hang the birch bark envelopes on raffia ropes and braids and secure them with a simple knot.

9. Pour a little water into each test tube in an envelope and place the plant.

Money wind chime made from bills and coins

Do you want to improve your well-being? Then, on the young growing Moon, be sure to make a talisman with your own hands in the form of wind chimes from bills or coins, which will attract money and other material wealth into your life.

First of all, we build a structure - a mobile and hang nine laminated bills from it, and hang a bell in the center to activate the fiery energy. It is advisable to decorate the mobile in red. Banknotes are selected individually according to your wishes - rubles, hryvnias, dollars, euros, and even tugriks! We choose what is closer, prettier and more desirable, in a word – what our soul is drawn to. Instead of banknotes, you can use metal coins with holes made. We solemnly hang the talisman in the wealth zone and keep karma wider! A homemade talisman and unconditional faith in its power will certainly attract wealth to your home!

The principle of creating wind chimes is clear. Now all that remains is to use your imagination and try to build something truly original. And we shouldn’t worry too much about feng shui, which is far from us. Having invested warmth, love and positive energy into your creation, you can be sure that the Universe will certainly respond to your message. And finally, a few more inspiring masterpieces:

Birds symbolize freedom, beauty and the arrival of spring. If you want to create a feathered creature with your own hands, pay attention to the following master classes on making birds with your own hands from a wide variety of objects.

Materials

The most common materials for creating crafts are plasticine, cardboard and paper. However, you should not assume that these are the only things from which you can create a beautiful figurine.

So, we list the products from which you can create a bird with your own hands:

  • Cotton wool;
  • Textile;
  • Polymer clay;
  • Cones;
  • Threads;
  • Beads;
  • Plastic bottles.

Craft with a description of a bird made of thread for children

To make a bird from knitted threads, prepare the following materials:

  • A piece of cardboard 13-15 cm long;
  • Knitting threads in black, red and blue colors;
  • Newspaper sheet.

Procedure:

Wind threads of the color you like onto a piece of cardboard. Make 30-40 turns. Cut and untie the threads on one side, remove the cardboard, and as a result you should have an even ball. Crumple a sheet of newspaper so that the size is the same as the size of the future bird.

Wrap the item in the middle with red threads, and tie the laces at the bottom. Threads of black and of blue color wind crosswise.

Tie the threads at the back to create a bird's tail. In order not to make a mistake with the correct winding of threads, we advise you to familiarize yourself with photos of bird crafts on the Internet. Tie the bun at the top with black threads, so we will create the head of the bird.

The bird silhouette is ready. Now start decorating: glue beads or buttons to the head to create eyes. Use black seeds or plasticine to form the beak of a feathered creature.

Simple birds made of paper

To begin, prepare:

  • Dense colored paper. An excellent option would be to use paper with beautiful patterns;
  • Glue;
  • Hole puncher;
  • Set of bright paper clips.

Now we will tell you in more detail about how to make a paper bird with your own hands:

Draw a stencil of the bird. You can cut out a ready-made template from special books or print it on a printer. Cut out the outline of the feathered creature.

To create the bird, you will need two identical sides of the object. Before gluing the two sides, place a modified paper clip between them, and then glue.

The paperclip will serve as legs for the bird, so create it so that the craft can easily stand on legs. Use a hole punch to make eyes for the birds.

The light bird is ready! If you place a paperclip in the back area, you can make a bookmark for a book, journal, or anything else.

Mobile “Birds”

This product can be an excellent interior element in a children's room. In order to create a wonderful design, prepare:

Bird with movable wings

Prepare:

  • Cardboard;
  • Multi-colored paper;
  • Scissors;
  • Glue;
  • Thread;
  • Brads;
  • Markers;
  • Awl.

Let's get started:

Find ready-made bird outlines. You can draw them yourself and use ready-made stencils or print with it. Cut out the parts and make two holes at the junction with the wings using an awl.

Use a felt-tip pen to draw the texture of the bird's feathers. You can stick feathers cut out of paper on top.

Cut out a bird's beak and eyes from paper. Connect the wings with thread. Use brads to attach the wings to the bird. Tie a loop between the wings using threads.

The craft is ready! Now the bird's wings will move every time you pull the strings

Photos of bird crafts

Wind chimes are an oriental talisman that has become a popular accessory not only in our home, but also in our summer cottage area. Today we create it with our own hands, at no extra cost, from scrap items.

Air bells came to us not so long ago, at about the same time as Feng Shui was popularized in the country. But, we can say that from the first days of its appearance, this talisman has become very interesting to many people, who are happy to hang the accessory at home and even in the country, where every slightest breath of breeze not only causes pleasant and positive sounds, but also attracts positive energy.

Since ancient times, wind chimes have been considered a kind of transformer. negative energy in a positive way and, even if you don’t believe in it, you can simply decorate the entrance to the house, gazebo or patio with nice feng shui elements that will not only delight with sound, but also attract the attention of guests.

Today you can purchase such a talisman without much difficulty, since it is available not only in the windows of specialized oriental stores, but also on market stalls and in gift departments. But, you see, there is no need to spend money if you can make a souvenir from everything that is considered unnecessary in the house - tin cans, old pencils, small metal tubes, shells, and so on.

How to make wind chimes with your own hands

For this you only need desire and imagination, the rest is a matter of time and practice. Having produced my first talisman, putting a piece of my soul into it, good mood And positive emotions, you, of course, can stop, but you can continue to create, because there are simply countless options for a talisman.

From tin cans

A popular Feng Shui accessory for a summer house can be made from tin cans, roughly speaking, from garbage, which will now be used for good. To create this element you will not need much - cans different sizes, thin strong thread or twine, paint, decorations in the form of beads or plastic plates.

Next, everything is simple - you paint clean tin cans in different colors to make the accessory more fun, and tie the cans at different heights from the base, securing them with knots on ropes. You can also decorate the ropes with beads, coins, plates, and so on. The result is a rather nice-looking product that makes an interesting sound as it sways in the wind. Believe me, it will also become the subject of heated discussions and jokes in the company of friends.

From clay pots

To do this, you will need 3-5 clay flower pots, preferably small in size, so that the accessory does not turn out to be huge. Next, take a strong twine, at the end of which a bead is tied or a large knot is tied to support the first clay pot. The pot is threaded through the hole onto the other end of the string and lowered down to the bead or knot. Now, stepping back 5-7 cm from it so that the next pot does not completely cover the previous one, tie a knot again and secure the bead. We put on the next pot, and so on.

First, you can paint the pots in cheerful colors, attach more cute large beads between them, which you can use to decorate the string after you put the last clay pot on it. We recommend doing everything accurately and consistently, hanging the smallest pot first, and then increasing their size upwards.

From pencils and an old ruler

Even a child can do such a product. You only need 10-15 pencils and one ruler. Every 1.5-2 cm, small holes are punched in the ruler, you can even follow the markings exactly. Next, a strong thread or thin fishing line is pulled through the hole, which is tied around the pencil at a distance of several centimeters from the ruler. By sequentially securing all the pencils to the ruler and making a suspension in the middle or on both sides, you get a simple musical talisman.

Sometimes it can be difficult to tie a pencil without the thread slipping off. In this case, you can pass the thread through an elastic band, which is often found at the end of a pencil, or you can make shallow cuts along the pencil with a knife or blade.

From old keys

The simplest accessory, which is very interesting in appearance, and is capable of providing the surrounding space with pleasant sounds during any blow of the wind. It’s very simple to create such an accessory for decorating a dacha; you just need to set aside about an hour for it and put together everything you need. You will need a strong dry twig, 5-7 keys, strong thread and multi-colored paints. First, you paint the twig in any color you like, cheerful and positive, and while it dries, tie the keys to pieces of thread that should be the same size. Next, tie the keys with threads to a branch, at the same distance from each other, make a simple suspension on the other side, and you're done. All that remains is to paint the keys themselves and the threads along which they descend from the branch.

From spoons and forks

In fact, this is an unprecedented miracle, the method of production of which we only recently learned. In order to make wind chimes with your own hands from forks and spoons, you need to take a fork and bend its teeth in different directions, and punch a hole in the handle of the fork for hanging. Now, on each figuratively curved clove, we tie identical pieces of thin fishing line, approximately 10-15 cm each, decorate the fishing line with beads of our favorite color, and tie spoons that are no longer needed in the household to the ends of the fishing line. The result is an extremely original piece that can be hung anywhere.

Wind chimes: do it yourself (video)

Original product made from a plastic pot and lids

If there is bottle caps and (and everyone has these), then you can quickly, literally within half an hour, make a musical accessory with your own hands, and not only cute and impressive, but also one that produces original sounds in the wind.

The production process is quite simple, and to complete it you will need only 30 minutes of time, 5-6 pieces of strong thread or fishing line, 50 cm long, several dozen bottle caps, as well as a plastic flower pot and a piece of string for hanging. First of all, punch holes evenly in the pot, upside down, around the entire circumference, for 4-5-6 or more pieces of fishing line that you have prepared. Next, sequentially put bottle caps on the thread or fishing line (in which there are already holes made with a needle or awl), 2-3 cm apart, or even more chaotically. To prevent the lids from slipping, we tie knots on both sides of each of them. Now that a certain number of threads with caps are ready, carefully thread them through the holes in the plastic flower pot, and tie it. On the other side of the pot we make a suspension, for example, from twine.

That's it, the wind chime is ready, but you can always get a little more creative, for example, by hanging beads and bells on the edges of the fishing line with caps.

Making wind chimes from bells and shells

All that is needed to create the next talisman is a small dry and strong twig, shells, bells and threads. Next, everything is done in exactly the same way as in the production of an accessory from keys, only you don’t need to paint anything, and on each strong thread we put not a key, but sequentially shells and bells, or in any other order convenient for you.

The result is a magnificent talisman, which can only be distinguished from a store-bought one by quality, since a self-made product often turns out much better than store-bought stamps.

How to make wind chimes (video)

Classic bamboo option

And finally, a classic wind chime made from bamboo, or our first product made from metal tubes, which was created in the likeness of bamboo.

The creation process is completely identical, and therefore there will be only one description. Of course, it’s not easy to get bamboo, but it’s quite possible if you have the desire. Next, everything else is collected that is useful for creating a classic Feng Shui element - twine, beads, a wooden washer and planks.

A suspension is immediately created, the base of which will be a wooden cross (for four bamboo tubes) or any other wooden element for the amount of bamboo you need. A suspension of strong twine is tied to it from above, from the bottom, or through special drilled holes, a fishing line with bamboo tubes and beads. In the center you need to hang a wooden washer from the base, against which the bamboo tubes will beat during the breeze and make sounds. The whole process takes only a few hours, and only for the reason that it will be necessary to make holes in the base of the accessory and the wooden washer for threads or fishing line. Also, while the drill is still in your hands, you need to immediately drill holes in the bamboo elements, but very carefully and with a thin drill. After that, just tie up all the elements and secure them.

Even if you don't believe in positive energy and Eastern culture, try to approach your work with good mood, the necessary supply of time, new ideas. This will help with wind chimes.

Do-it-yourself wind chimes are a reality, and you can be convinced of this already at the moment when you make the first talisman and decorate your dacha with it, be it a gazebo or even a beautiful tree in the garden. Original and very pleasant sounds that will give you pleasure every day, will often remind you of your work, and will also attract you to repeat your new achievement and make another accessory.
