In order to prolong the youthfulness of the skin, especially in such delicate places as our eyelids, as well as get rid of dark circles and bags under the eyes, you must first deal with the eyelids.

1. Ice eyelid massage.
To tighten the eyelids after sleep, you need ice. Prepare ice cubes in advance from chamomile, mint or just from mineral water, where add a few drops of lemon juice.

With this ice, wipe the eyelids with gentle circular motions, starting from the area of the eyelashes and gradually rising to the eyebrows. (If you work with acidic ice, try to avoid contact with eyes).
A wonderful effect of a morning eyelid lift is obtained with a silver teaspoon. To do this, immerse a teaspoon in finely crushed ice, and then apply the chilled one to the eyelids for a few seconds, repeat the procedure 5-8 times.

2. Eye mask with yolk
In order to get rid of impending eyelids, use the following mask. Beat one egg yolk and add a few drops of sesame or olive oil to it. Apply to the eyelids for 15 minutes, rinse with warm water, apply cream.

3. Potato eye mask
Raw potatoes perfectly cope with swelling of the eyelids, remove fine wrinkles and renew the skin. Grate medium-sized potatoes, mix the resulting mass well and put in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes. Then apply the mask on the skin around the eyelids for 10-15 minutes, rinse with cool water, apply cream. Instead of potatoes, you can use fresh cucumber, it perfectly removes puffiness, moisturizes the skin, and makes it fresh.

4. Milk eye mask
Take 1/4 cup of fresh milk and add 4 tablespoons of soda to it, beat the mass well and refrigerate for 20 minutes in the refrigerator. Apply to the eyelids and rinse gently with cool water after 15-20 minutes. Milk is a wonderful natural ingredient that is very good to use for the skin around the eyes.

5. Eye mask from puffiness from parsley
Take a bunch of parsley (you can also cut the root), chop it into small pieces, then crush it a little so that the juice stands out. Apply parsley to the skin around the eyes, and cover the top with a damp cloth. Wash off the mask with cool water after 15-20 minutes. Parsley moisturizes the skin, relieves puffiness, removes wrinkles.

When applying any cream to the skin around the eyes, we recommend doing this with massage movements, along the upper eyelid with fingertips from the bridge of the nose to the temples, and along the lower eyelid - from the temples to the bridge of the nose. It is worth finishing with jerky movements along the lower eyelid, as if with small blows of the pads of the middle and ring fingers.

Blepharochalasia is the medical term for excess loose skin around the eyes. This is the so-called "heavy eyelid effect".

This problem is quite common, and causes it for many reasons:

 • Aging. This is the first and main factor that provokes flabbiness of the eyelids. The skin in this area is 7-10 times thinner than on the rest of the face or anywhere else on the body. With the passage of time, the epidermis here becomes more and more thin due to the loss of elastane, collagen, hyaluronic acid. Delicate areas of the skin are stretched under the influence of the fat body, and this leads to unsightly sagging and sagging. The standard manifestation of aging is the protrusion of fat in the area under the eyes. Also, aging weakens the muscles, and this significantly worsens the appearance of bags under the eyes.
 • genetic propensity. Genetic studies confirm that another common cause of early drooping eyelids and flabbiness is heredity. Therefore, if in your family there is a tendency to “early aging”, then it is possible that this will affect you too.
 • Few sebaceous glands. The periorbital zone is drier than the rest. There are fewer sebaceous glands here than anywhere else on the face. The lipid barrier is worse, which means that the epidermis is prone to the rapid formation of mimic wrinkles.
 • skull shape. As a rule, early flabbiness and circles under the eyes are formed in people with prominent cheekbones and deep-set eyes. The shadow from the eye sockets creates the illusion that the skin in these areas is darker. In the process of aging, the bones of the skull change and the situation worsens.
 • Toxins in the body. Darkness under the eyes, sagging and puffiness may indicate that too many toxins have accumulated in your body. If you focus on the teachings of Chinese healers, then the skin of the eyelids is the area responsible for the kidneys. Therefore, puffiness and sagging are indirect signs that there is too much water or toxic mucus in the body.
 • Frequent eye movements and increased emotionality. This factor is responsible for the appearance of early mimic wrinkles.
 • Unfavorable lifestyle. Flabbiness and swelling of the eyelids can appear regardless of age and gender, if you have bad habits - smoking, alcoholism, and also do not eat properly (the diet is rich in salt).
Quite common causes of deterioration of the skin around the eyes are stress, malnutrition, lack of sleep or, conversely, too much sleep, active and excessive use of decorative cosmetics, treatment of delicate eyelid skin with alcohol-containing products, photoaging (the effect of sunlight on unprotected skin).

How to tighten eyelid skin

If you're wondering how you'll look as you age, take a look at your parents' eyes. So you will know for sure whether you are threatened with early sagging of the skin of the eyelids and flabbiness. However, in any case, you can change the "plans" of genetics by resorting to traditional or aesthetic medicine.

How to tighten the skin of the eyelids in the salon

Bags under the eyes, wrinkles, dark circles, sagging - this is not only not aesthetically pleasing, but also fraught with visual impairment and headaches. This is due to the fact that the muscles of the face are tense in an attempt to open the eyes wider. Nowadays, there are many in-salon procedures - surgical and non-surgical - that help in the treatment of sagging and tired skin around the eyes.

The choice of a method for rejuvenating the eyelid area directly depends on the type of violation that you have to deal with. So, the fading epidermis of the upper eyelid needs to be tightened, because excess skin is formed around and the muscles weaken. The lower eyelid often requires the removal of swelling, fat bags, and the treatment of thinned skin. Dark circles below the eyes require different treatments.

Let's consider their characteristics in more detail:

 1. Fillers - volume and hydration. This is the easiest way to restore smoothness to the skin around the eyes. Injectable fillers guarantee a natural look to the eyelids and combat sunken eyes. They make circles under the eyes less noticeable by 20%. However, they are not able to cope with the fat body. As a rule, injection gels are developed on the basis of hyaluronic acid. They reduce wrinkles around the eyes, give the skin volume, moisturize it.
 2. Laser rejuvenation. Such surgery is a non-invasive method of skin tightening. Gently restore the youthfulness of the eyelids with CO2 laser and Fraxel. Also, this method can be used in conjunction with others, such as fillers or a surgical lift. At the microscopic level, the laser makes thermal injuries on the skin. The epidermis reacts to this by rapid regeneration and elimination of old damaged cells. Instead of the latter, new, young and healthy ones appear. In addition, the laser improves the elasticity of the skin of the eyelids, texture, eliminates wrinkles, freckles, acne scars.
 3. Myostimulation. This is a method of gently tightening the muscles around the eyes with a pulsed current. Such electropulse therapy takes place with the help of electrodes on a special contact gel. During the procedure, the current passes through the tissues, affects the muscle and nerve tissues, and provokes muscle contraction. Myostimulation improves blood flow, strengthens muscles, normalizes cellular metabolism. As a result, wrinkles are stretched, puffiness subsides, eyelids are tightened.
 4. Surgical method - blepharoplasty. This is a radical way to eliminate imperfections on the skin of the eyelids, if the previous ones did not have the desired effect. Eyelid reduction surgery is an effective way to achieve the desired appearance. During the procedure, micro incisions are made under the eyes and on the eyelids, fat is removed, the skin is tightened, and the incisions are sutured. The process of removing the fat body visibly relieves swelling. Also, the surgical method makes it possible to eliminate overhanging eyelids. However, belfaroplasty will not solve the problem of dark circles under the eyes.

How to tighten the skin of the eyelids at home with massage

To tighten the skin around the eyes, it is useful to do a special acupressure. In addition to affecting the eyelids, it has a positive effect on the entire face. Such a massage is able to deal with "crow's feet", circles under the eyes, sagging and puffiness. In addition, it can improve vision and relieve headaches.

The essence of the massage is that by pressing on the biologically active points that are on the muscles surrounding the eyes, the lactic acid that accumulates here is replaced by glycogen. The latter gives the muscles energy, leads them to tone.

Bioactive points must first be found. They are groped as small notches in the muscles or bones. Sometimes they are located on the arteries where the pulse is felt. When you hit the right point, you will feel a little pain. This is what indicates that you have found the right site.

During the massage, do not stretch the skin, even if you build up pressure. It is necessary to stimulate the points with the index, middle and ring (if necessary) fingers. Pressing should be perpendicular, without making circular movements.

If you have long nails that interfere with exposure, use knuckles. Stimulate each point for about 5-7 seconds on the exhale. Keep in mind that proper breathing is important. It is necessary to press at the moment when the lungs are without air. The intensity of stimulation should not be too strong - until a slight pain is felt.

You need to influence several zones in the process of one massage:

 • Three vertical dots on the forehead on each side of the center line. They are located at a distance of about 1-1.5 centimeters from the center line. By pressing on these areas, you can tone the muscles and smooth out forehead wrinkles. It is important to have high skin turgor on the forehead, as it is these muscles that tighten the weakened upper eyelids.
 • Three dots on the eyebrow. They are located at the ends of the eyebrow and in the center. Influence them, and you will tighten the bags under the eyes, get rid of the impending century. Also, these points increase the elasticity of the delicate skin of the upper eyelid.
 • Paired points in the inner corners of the eyes. They should be stimulated at the same time. It helps to eliminate swelling, swelling, dark circles around the eyes. Also, exposure to these areas relaxes the eyes, improves vision.
 • Paired points in the outer corners of the eyes. These zones are located at a distance of about one centimeter from the outer corner of the eye, slightly higher towards the temple. Their stimulation "works" with crow's feet, wrinkles on the lower eyelid.
 • Paired dots under the eyes. They have an effect on swelling, circles under the eyes, stimulate blood flow, as well as lymph outflow. By pressing on these areas, you will improve the turgor of the lower eyelid, get rid of bags. It is worth noting that these points are located on the bone under the pupil and are quite painful. However, for the sake of the result, you must be patient. It is also useful to run your fingers, with a little pressure, along the edge of the eye sockets towards the temple.
Do not forget to cleanse and thoroughly moisturize the skin before the procedure. It is better to carry out acupressure in the morning for two to three minutes.

How to use eye cream

A properly selected eye cream can “mask” several sleepless nights and a dozen years. Before you go for suitable cosmetics for the area around the eyes, you should decide what problem is bothering you:
 1. Swelling, inflamed eyes. In this case, opt for cooling light gels. There are, for example, in the lines of Planeta Organica, Babor and other brands.
 2. Bags under the eyes. From swelling effective creams with strong action, which increase the turgor and elasticity of the skin. Corresponding products are offered by Vichy, Oriflame brands.
 3. Dark circles around the eyes. In this case, you should opt for a cream that will brighten the skin and have a suitable UV factor for you. These are funds from Vichy, Natura Siberica, Green Pharmacy.
 4. Fine wrinkles. Moisturizing creams with antioxidants are suitable. Many brands have these products. Bioderma, Doctor Hauschka, Dior Hydra, Shiseido Benefiance and others have proven themselves well.
In the process of choosing a cream for the area around the eyes, do not be guided only by the big name of the brand. Read the label carefully. Knowing what active ingredients a product contains, you can draw your own conclusions about the effect it will have on your skin.

Useful Ingredients:

 • Vitamin C. Retains moisture, protects against free radicals, restores skin elasticity.
 • Vitamin K. Improves blood microflow, makes capillaries stronger, eliminates dark spots under the eyes.
 • Galoxyl. It activates the local exchange of bilirubin in cells, whitens circles.
 • Eyeliss. This is a peptide complex, which is considered the most advanced at the moment. It has a drainage effect, relieves puffiness, strengthens capillaries.
 • Argyrelen. His work is similar to Botox. It slightly freezes small muscles, thereby preventing the appearance of wrinkles.
 • Hyaluronic acid. Effectively moisturizes the skin, making it more elastic.
 • Resveratrol. A strong antioxidant that fights against premature aging of the epidermis.
 • Coenzyme Q10. Gives the skin a healthy look, improves metabolism.
 • Ester-C. This is a water- and fat-soluble form of vitamin C. The substance tightens the epidermis, makes its color healthy, and activates the production of collagen.
 • Essential Fatty Acids (Essential Fatty Acids). Perfectly moisturize, prevent the appearance of early wrinkles.
In addition, you should pay attention to how you apply the cream to the skin around the eyes. This procedure is quite specific:
 1. Do not apply the drug to the moving eyelid. You should move from the bridge of the nose along the upper fixed part of the eyelid and then along the lower back to the bridge of the nose. Do not get too close to the lash line.
 2. You don't need to rub in the cream. It is enough to make a few poorly popping light movements. Do this with your ring fingers, as they are weaker than the others, and you won't be able to hurt sensitive skin.
 3. Store your eye cream in the refrigerator. In addition to the fact that it is better preserved, you will also give it a tonic effect.
 4. It is not recommended to apply a night cream just before going to bed. So you will earn swelling. Perform the procedure one hour before bedtime.
 5. Never use regular face cream on your eyelids. In such preparations, the concentration of active substances is too high. This is detrimental to the delicate skin around the eyes.

The use of vitamins for the skin of the eyelids

By themselves, vitamins are not a building material for skin tissues and cells. Thus, it is not worth expecting from them that they will remove puffiness, eliminate flabbiness or smooth out wrinkles. But, at the same time, vitamins take an active part in metabolism, the production of collagen, elastin.

“Beauty vitamins” are called A and E. Retinol (vitamin A) has a regenerating effect on the skin around the eyes, improves collagen production, which is necessary for the fading epidermis. Actively protects delicate eyelids from the influence of negative environmental factors.

Tocopherol acetate (vitamin E) slows down the formation of free radicals in the tissue. Helps improve blood microcirculation, participates in the synthesis of collagen.

Vitamins are added to the composition of creams and masks. They are also widely used to enrich homemade skin care products. These substances are fat-soluble, which means that they should be used in combination with oils such as olive, castor, almond, sea buckthorn and others.

In pharmacies, you can buy vitamins in capsules. This is a very convenient form, since the capsule can be easily opened and squeezed out. It is worth carefully following the recipe, since these substances are very concentrated.

At home, vitamins A and E can be used as part of such preparations:

 • Skin cream enriched with vitamins. To prepare it, combine a tablespoon of cocoa butter, sea buckthorn and oil tocopherol acetate. Lubricate the upper and lower eyelids with this mixture. After 15 minutes, remove the residue with a napkin.
 • Crow's feet cream with tocopherol acetate. You will need vitamin E and glycerin. We mix 30 grams of the latter with ten capsules of the vitamin. Apply the product on the skin, gently massage it. After twenty minutes, remove the remnants with a cotton swab.
 • Vitamin A mask. We take half a teaspoon of castor oil, add a couple of drops of retinol. Wet cotton pads in the mixture and put on the upper and lower eyelids. Twenty minutes later, blot your eyes with a napkin and wash your face.

Interesting video: Recipe for sagging and sagging facial skin

It often happens that the face looks young, but the skin over the eyelid sagged. Treacherous "bags" not only look unaesthetic, but also age the face. To look younger, many women resort to surgical procedures, but they are expensive and not accessible to everyone. If the situation is not too advanced, you can also tighten your eyelids at home using folk methods and cosmetics.

Sagging skin over the eyelid, what to do?

Why does the skin of the eyelids sag?

The skin above the eyes is very thin, so it is more prone to damage and aging. The reasons for sagging can be:

 • diabetes;
 • kidney disease;
 • neurological disorders;
 • genetic abnormalities;
 • face and head injuries.

But in most cases, if the skin sagged over the eyelid, it means that the muscles have lost their elasticity and stretched, and this is a sign of aging. You can prevent sagging and even fight it, but you will have to regularly care for the skin around the eyes or resort to the services of a plastic surgeon.

How to remove sagging skin?

There are several ways to keep the skin around the eyes young and elastic, among which the most radical is blepharoplasty - eyelid lift surgery. Herbal infusions, lifting creams and massage also help to effectively deal with sagging eyelids.

1. Eyelid masks

Cosmetic stores sell special masks for skin care around the eyes. They should be applied to the eyelid for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with water and lubricate the skin above the eyes with a lifting cream. With regular use of such masks, the skin is tightened and looks younger.

You can also prepare masks at home from products that are in the refrigerator:

 • egg yolk and a few drops of olive oil;
 • cucumber mixture with sour cream;
 • fresh chopped parsley leaves with vegetable oil;
 • potato porridge.

Home masks are applied to the skin around the eyes for 10-15 minutes, and then washed off with water.

2. Hardware lifting - thermage

Thermage is an effect on the dermis and hypodermis with an electric current (6 MHz). During the procedure, collagen fibers are damaged, and new ones begin to be intensively synthesized in their place. After hardware lifting, the skin looks young, very toned and elastic. One procedure is enough for six months, after which thermage should be repeated.

The area of the skin around the eyes has differences in the form of special subtlety and high sensitivity. Of course, its structure is the same as in other parts of the face and body. But at the same time, there is practically no subcutaneous fat and muscle around the eyes under the skin, which is why it has a tendency to stretch. By the way, the first wrinkles on the face appear, as a rule, in this zone.

The skin in the eye area needs proper, regular and thorough care. This should not be neglected even by those who are still young and do not complain about their appearance.

Reasons for the problem

In a young healthy person, the skin looks quite attractive. It is elastic, resilient and beautiful. However, over the years, the complexion begins to change, acquiring grayish or yellowish hues. The corners of the eyes, under which the first wrinkles are already visible, noticeably lower and look down. The skin loses the feeling of being filled from the inside. The muscles of the face become weaker and the pores noticeably expand. All these are characteristic signs of sagging skin.

What are the reasons for such changes? Among them:

 1. Age. Over the years, the body stops producing hyaluronic acid, which provides skin elasticity.
 2. Wrong way of life. It is expressed in the lack of proper sleep and rest, which are combined with constant stress, overwork and increased stress.
 3. Insufficient nutrition of the skin. A similar factor often occurs with excessive passion for diets and starvation.
 4. Bad habits. This includes heavy drinking, smoking, and an unbalanced diet.
 5. Finding a long period in the sun and abuse of procedures in the solarium.
 6. Excessive application of decorative cosmetics.

As a result of exposure to these factors, the first swelling, bruising and wrinkles become visible on the face in the eye area. All of them are a signal of the need to take urgent action.

Similar problems can begin quite early, as early as 25-30 years. Over the years, they appear more and they only get worse. When this appears:

 1. Bruises under the eyes. A similar phenomenon occurs due to venous stasis or due to the proximity of blood vessels to the surface of the skin.
 2. Dryness. This factor provokes the appearance of the first wrinkles and occurs due to a lack of subcutaneous fat.
 3. Crow's feet that appear in the corners of the eyes, or skin facial wrinkles. A similar phenomenon can be observed in almost every woman who has crossed the 30-35-year mark.

After about 35 years of age, there is:

 1. Thinning and sagging of the skin around the eyes. This is due to her prolonged overdrying.
 2. Couperose. It is a vascular network under the eyes as a continuation of seemingly harmless bruises at first glance.
 3. Nasolacrimal and palpeobromalar grooves.
 4. Dark spots. These formations contribute to the effect of tired eyes and give out age.

What is the right care for the skin around the eyes? The reviews of most women say that it should be special. This is confirmed by professionals. It is necessary to choose the right lotions for this area of the face, use oils, make nourishing masks, and also contact the beauty parlor, where the specialist will offer one of the many necessary procedures.

Caring for the skin located in the eye area requires the sequential passage of certain stages. Let's consider them in more detail.

cleansing

This procedure should become mandatory and regular for a woman. In order to remove makeup from the eyes, it is recommended to use a special cosmetic milk.

By the way, the cleansing procedure is necessary before going to bed, even for those women who did not use decorative cosmetics during the day. But it should be borne in mind that it is impossible to wash with soap. No matter how expensive and delicate this remedy is, with daily use it will dry out the skin. This will invariably lead to the activation of the processes of its premature aging. If you use only one water for the procedure, then it will only wash away the dust. The remains of the cream can not be removed in this way. Experts advise using only special eye cosmetics in the form of milk, emulsion or lotion for the cleansing procedure. They will need to moisten a cotton pad, and then move along the top line, starting from the inner corner of the eye, moving to its outer side. In the opposite direction, the procedure is performed along the lower eyelid.

To carry out make-up removal, it is recommended by experts to use products intended for removing decorative cosmetics. It should be borne in mind that the usual lotion or milk can not cope with the removal of all the remnants of the carcass. And that's what needs to be washed off first. To do this, half a cotton pad is placed under the lower eyelashes. Then, closing your eyes, remove the mascara from the eyelashes. This will be done by moving from top to bottom with a pre-prepared cotton swab, which is dipped in a cosmetic product. It is necessary to clean the skin in the eye area to remove the remnants of cosmetics in a circular motion, the same as that performed during normal cleansing. After completing the procedure, it is recommended to rinse your face with cool water.

Moisturizing

Any skin needs this procedure. However, moisturizing the area around the eyes is especially important and should be done regularly.

Beauticians recommend careful care for these areas of the face in the summer to save them from drying out, as well as in the winter. During cold weather, the skin is subjected to a double load. In the house, its dryness is provoked by central heating batteries, and frosts negatively affect the street.

For proper care of the skin around the eyes, during the cold period, simple requirements must be observed. Beauticians recommend that after applying a moisturizer, go outside only after 30-60 minutes. Otherwise, the skin, as a rule, does not have time to absorb the cream and frostbite, and then begins to peel off. In winter, professionals recommend the use of moisturizers that have a denser structure, for example, fat or oil based.

Nutrition

Over the years, the skin of the eyelids needs to be additionally nourished. This will allow you to make creams that contain vitamins, plant extracts, cosmetic and essential oils and other useful components.

Nutrients have a specific structure. It contains smaller molecules that can penetrate deep into the epidermis. When using the cream in the evening, it is recommended to apply it on the eyelids two hours before a night's rest. This will prevent the appearance of edema. After applying the product, you must wait 30 minutes, and then remove its excess with a cotton swab.

Also, cosmetologists advise not to use creams made on a fatty basis during the warm season. And the point here is not at all that they leave behind an unnatural and ugly shine. When applied to the eyelids, the oily cream is not absorbed in the summer, but begins to melt. By doing this, it blocks the access of oxygen to the skin, which makes it difficult for the outflow of lymph. In the eye area, fluid begins to accumulate under the skin, and swelling appears. That is why, when the heat sets in, professionals recommend the use of products that have a relatively light composition.

Skin protection

The area around the eyes is very vulnerable to the negative influence of a variety of external factors. In this regard, at high and at low temperatures, the skin will require special protection. In the summer on the street, cosmetologists recommend that you always wear sunglasses. And this is not a tribute to fashion. Glasses will help protect the delicate skin around the eyes from burns and wrinkles. After all, when the light is bright enough, we squint. At the same time, the skin begins to gather into small folds, leaving an imprint in the form of mimic wrinkles in the corners of the eyes and the bridge of the nose. Such changes have nothing to do with age. That is why in the summer, cosmetologists recommend the use of creams with SPF protection. They will save the skin of the eyelids from the negative effects of the sun's rays, which contribute to phytoaging of the skin.

Severe frosts in winter should be the reason for refusing to wash your face with water. The best for the skin around the eyes when it is cleaned during this period is milk, lotion or tonic.

Causes of loose skin around the eyes

The thin skin around the eyes practically does not contain adipose tissue, so after 25 years, age-related changes become noticeable on it. Frequent swelling, overexertion at books or a computer, severe stress aggravate the condition and quickly lead to the appearance of sagging bags in the lower eyelids. After 40 years, they become more noticeable, they can no longer be hidden by good makeup.

The following causes of senile changes are distinguished:

 • decreased production of hyaluronic acid, which is necessary for skin elasticity;
 • violations of soft tissue trophism caused by a disorder of the cardiovascular system, long-term low-carbohydrate diets, forced starvation;
 • abuse of bad habits;
 • unbalanced diet;
 • violation of water and electrolyte balance in the body;
 • lack of sleep, overwork, constant stress;
 • eye strain;
 • prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, frequent visits to the solarium;
 • abuse of decorative cosmetics.

Some people immediately decide to remove sagging skin under the eyes, which is strongly discouraged. You can try to do without plastic surgery with the help of salon and home procedures.

The procedures help restore normal skin circulation, activate collagen synthesis, saturate tissues with vitamins and minerals. Often, women resort to mesotherapy and hardware lifting.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is an injection technique that eliminates dryness and premature aging of the skin. Over time, the dermis becomes more susceptible to external factors: it becomes thinner, dries out, and premature wrinkles appear on it. As a result, the lower eyelids sag more. The composition of the injections includes the following ingredients:

 1. Hyaluronic acid. It restores the water balance of the skin, preventing its dehydration.
 2. Vitamins A, C, E, B, PP.
 3. Oligocomponents: silicon, zinc, magnesium, potassium, selenium. Improve microcirculation and skin tone, activate tissue regeneration.
 4. Antioxidants. Slow down the aging process in the dermis.

Before carrying out mesotherapy, it is necessary to prepare in accordance with medical recommendations: refuse to use blood-thinning drugs and alcoholic beverages. During the procedure, the skin is cleansed with an antiseptic, anesthesia is removed. Then a specially selected drug is injected into the problem areas. The duration of mesotherapy is about 20-30 minutes.

Hardware lifting

Hardware lifting is used for severe skin laxity. The technique is a series of procedures that have a low-traumatic non-invasive effect on the dermis. Due to the fact that the integrity of the epithelium is not violated, there are practically no negative effects or complications.

There are the following types of procedures:

 1. RF lifting. The surface and inner layers of the dermis are exposed to radio waves. It destroys adipose tissue and activates metabolic processes in soft tissues. To achieve a positive effect, repeated procedures are necessary. Lower eyelid lift will require up to 5-8 sessions.
 2. Laser lifting. This procedure is safe and painless. It does not require multiple repetitions. The patient's skin is treated with a special gel. Under the action of thermal radiation, microcracks are formed in the depth of the dermis, due to which the processes of tissue regeneration are activated. Thanks to this effect, metabolism improves, hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin fibers begin to be synthesized.
 3. Ultrasonic procedure. After 3-5 sessions of exposure to high-frequency ultrasonic waves in the tissues of the lower eyelid, blood circulation and lymph outflow are accelerated, metabolic processes are activated and collagen synthesis begins.

Massage

Ice cubes are required for the massage. For their preparation, you need to use a herbal decoction created on the basis of chamomile flowers, sage and calendula flowers.

It is necessary to gently wipe the lower eyelids with ice from the outer corner of the eye to the bridge of the nose, without making sudden movements. The duration of the procedure is about 1-2 minutes. After the massage, the skin should dry on its own. After 20 minutes, it is recommended to apply a nourishing cream. To get a positive result from the massage, you need to perform the procedure daily.

The procedure is not performed in winter.

Special gymnastics

To prevent sagging lower eyelids, you should regularly perform lifting exercises to maintain the natural elasticity of the skin:

 1. Before performing more complex gymnastics, it is necessary to prepare the epidermis using the usual frequent blinking. The exercise should be repeated for 5-10 seconds.
 2. To perform the following exercise, you need to keep your eyes open and look in front of you. After that, it is necessary to lift the lower eyelid to the maximum possible level. In this case, you can not close your eyes or move the upper eyelid. If the lower eyelid begins to close the pupil, you need to move your gaze up. The exercise is continued for 5-6 seconds, repeating as many times as possible without a break.
 3. You need to keep your eyes open and lift the lower eyelid for 5 seconds. In this case, index fingers should be attached to the outer corners of the eyes.
 4. It is necessary to place the index fingers on the outer corners of the eyes and lightly press on the skin. After that, you need to close your eyes and begin to lift the lower eyelid for 5 seconds.

Daily performance of the gymnastic complex will help create an anti-aging lifting effect.

 3. After 50 years, you should buy anti-aging products along with a nourishing cream. For older women, biphasic serums with a special mark “serum in oil” are suitable.

If, in addition to age-related changes, a woman is concerned about age spots, she should buy a serum with kojic acid.

When it comes to determining whether a face is attractive or tired, it is the eyes that are of paramount importance. An experienced eye can immediately determine all the secrets of our life and heredity, looking only at our eyes. In medical terms, as we age, our body goes through a long series of changes, and it is the delicate areas around the eyes that are the first to show signs of these changes.

For some, these signs appear earlier, for others - later, but many of us are wondering: what factors are responsible for the appearance of wrinkles and sagging eyelids, and what can be done to join the league of owners of forever young eyes.

Unraveling the mystery of aging eyes

Blepharochalasia is not only a strange, hard-to-pronounce word, but also a medical term for the appearance of excess skin around the eyes or the effect of heavy eyelids. This is a fairly common problem caused by the normal aging process, fatigue, allergies, slow lymphatic drainage, or a number of other medical conditions.

What is the peculiarity of the skin around the eyes and why is it so delicate?

1. Aging

The skin around the eyes is seven to ten times thinner and more delicate than the skin on the rest of the face and body in general. As we age, the skin becomes even thinner due to the loss of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid (which keeps the skin hydrated). Delicate skin is stretched under the action of the fat body, which leads to noticeable sagging bags under the eyes. The protrusion of infraorbital fat is considered a common manifestation of the aging process. In addition, aging and a number of other factors affect the weakening of the muscles, which only worsens the condition of the bags under the eyes.

2. Genetic causes

Researchers recently conducted a study to identify the risk factors that lead to drooping eyelids, with particular attention to genetic factors. They studied two groups of people. The first group consisted of 5578 unrelated people. 17.8% of the participants in the group had moderate to severe droopy eyelids. In the second group, there were 2186 people who were twins, and 61% of the participant in this group had inherited droopy eyelids. These findings support the fact that the most common cause of droopy eyelids is heredity.

3. Sebaceous glands

The periorbital region is drier because there are fewer sebaceous glands compared to the skin on the rest of the face. Therefore, her lipid barrier is worse, and she is more prone to the formation of mimic wrinkles.

4. Skull

Prominent cheekbones and deep-set eyes. This is the cause of hollows under the eyes, the shadow of which creates the illusion that the skin under the eyes is darker, even if in fact it is not. As we age, the facial bones of the skull change, and this situation only gets worse.

5. Translucent capillaries

Dark circles under the eyes are actually the result of hemoglobin oxidation. Hemoglobin is the main component of red blood cells, it contains a heme group, the iron atoms of which bind oxygen molecules.

In this way, red blood cells carry oxygen throughout the body and take away all waste products for destruction. When oxygen molecules attach to the heme group, red blood cells turn red. When oxygen molecules are separated and hemoglobin is oxidized, red blood cells turn blue. This is why dark circles appear under the eyes. If red blood cells show through the capillaries around the eyes, it means that enzymes in the body interfere with the movement of red blood cells and oxidize them, turning them blue. When this happens, the waste is released into the bloodstream and carried throughout the body. Translucent capillaries can also cause swelling or fluid retention in the body, making the face look puffy.

6. Toxins in the body

Dark circles under the eyes can mean trouble sleeping or toxins in the kidneys or liver. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the upper part of the eye and the area just below the eyes is the kidney area. Swelling and fluid retention in this area is a sign that the body has too much fluid (watery and swollen circles, with a blue tint) or is overloaded with mucus (fatty and swollen, with a yellow tint). White or blue circles under the eyes indicate fatigue or exhaustion. A yellow tint indicates poor functioning of the liver and gallbladder. If the gallbladder is not up to the task of processing and breaking down fats in the body, this can contribute to the appearance of milia (tiny white-yellow bumps) around the eyes in some people.

7. Frequent eye movements

The skin suffers from the fact that you often blink and from facial expressions (for example, smiling), also called expression wrinkles.

8. Iron

Iron may be another contributing factor. Red blood cells need iron atoms in order to attach oxygen molecules to themselves. When the iron content in your body is low, red blood cells cannot attach oxygen to themselves, and hence bluish circles appear under the eyes.

9. Lifestyle

Puffy eyes are another problem that can appear regardless of age or gender. It is caused by a diet high in salt, smoking or alcohol. Due to an unhealthy lifestyle, dark circles under the eyes and early wrinkles also occur.

If you want to know how your eyes will change as you age, look at your parents. This will give you a clear idea of whether you will have a large fat pad under your eyes. But you can try to change the genetic plan with the help of aesthetic medicine.

Other causes of deterioration of the skin in the periorbital area can be: stress, malnutrition or malnutrition, too much sleep or lack of sleep, excessive use of cosmetics (remember to wash it off every evening), washing too often with products that dry the skin (avoid alcohol in cosmetics) and damage from sunlight - photoaging.

Currently available treatments

Wrinkles, bags, dark circles, droopy eyelids are not only unsightly, but can also cause vision problems and headaches (from constantly straining to keep your eyes open). There are many surgical and non-surgical treatments available for tired, sagging, or aging eyelid skin.

The choice of eye area rejuvenation method depends on the type of disorder we are dealing with. For example, the aging skin of the upper eyelids may need to be tightened due to excess skin and muscle weakness. The lower eyelids may require puffiness and thinning skin to be treated, as well as removal of fat sacs. Dark circles under the eyes require separate treatments.

Volume and hydration:

The easiest and most effective way to make the skin around the eyes smooth is with injectable fillers. They provide a natural look to the skin and help fight sunken eyes. Fillers also improve the condition of under eye circles by 15-20%, but they are practically useless in the fight against the fat body. There are several types of specially formulated hyaluronic acid gels (Anteis Esthetis Soft and Teoxane Redesnsity II) that reduce wrinkles around the eyes, giving volume and moisture to the skin.

Surgical methods:

If non-surgical methods do not provide the desired result, blepharoplasty (or eyelid reduction surgery) is used. This procedure is a very effective way to achieve the desired appearance.

The surgeon makes tiny incisions in the eyelid and under the eyes, removes excess fat and tightens the skin, and then stitches the incisions shut. Removing the fat pad under the eyes significantly reduces puffiness. Surgery can also remove drooping (hanging) eyelids, but it does nothing to combat dark circles or drooping eyebrows - these problems need to be addressed separately.

Blepharoplasty is the only way to remove a protruding fat body, especially in overweight people (excess fat accumulates under the eyes in such patients). But non-surgical methods do an excellent job with skin tightening, wrinkles and hollows under the eyes.

Folk remedies for eyelid skin care

Traditional medicine is rich in recipes for care for the delicate skin around the eyes. The main condition for effectiveness is to apply regularly, and not from case to case.

Recipes of folk remedies:

At this time, peel raw potatoes, three on a fine grater. One tablespoon of potatoes is enough. Add to it a warm infusion of parsley, a spoonful of vegetable oil. Stir the mixture and spread on cheesecloth. We collect the fabric several times and put it on the eyes for 15-20 minutes.

The beauty and youth of the skin around the eyes is the result of careful care and respect for your health. Regularly “nourishing” the eyelids with high-quality cosmetics, special massages, salon procedures in combination with folk recipes, you will postpone the aging process for many years.

Plastic surgery is an effective and quick way to restore natural beauty to the skin of the eyelids.

However, not all people who have discovered age-related changes, having various eyelid defects, can and want to use this remedy.

Is there an alternative, is blepharoplasty possible at home?

Causes of problems

"Crow's feet", excess skin on the eyelids, "falling" of the outer corners of the eyes, overhanging upper eyelids, fatty hernia - all these manifestations are primarily associated with aging.

Subcutaneous fatty tissue becomes thinner, elasticity decreases, age-related changes develop.

There are other factors that negatively affect the condition of the eyelids:

 1. Active expression. The more often a person laughs, squints, blinks, the faster fine wrinkles form in him.
 2. Bad habits. The destructive effect is produced by alcoholic beverages, cigarettes.
 3. Dehydration. An insufficient amount of fluid is detrimental to the skin of the eyelids.
 4. Improper nutrition, vitamin deficiency.
 5. Lack of proper sleep.
 6. Frequent stress.

Blepharoplasty is not the only solution to problems associated with the skin of the eyelids.

There are gentle techniques that restore beauty and youth to the eyes.

Exercise as an alternative to blepharoplasty

Special gymnastics for the eyelids will help eliminate puffiness and "bags", tighten the skin, give expressiveness to the look.

In order for the exercises to provide a result comparable to blepharoplasty, you need to do it daily.

Before classes, a three-minute warm-up is mandatory - circular eye movements, slow and smooth.

The direction of movement is constantly changing - right, left.

The correctness of the exercises will help control the mirror, you need to look into it when doing:

 1. The pads of the middle and index fingers are placed on the outer corner of the eye. Eyes close tightly at first, then fully open. The goal is to strengthen the circular muscles.
 2. The eyelids (right, left) alternately rise, the actions are repeated 5-10 times. This is followed by a simultaneous lifting of the eyelids and eyebrows. The goal is to strengthen the weakened muscles of the upper eyelid.
 3. Open eyes rise sharply. Then they move down, while you need to look at the tip of the nose.
 4. The head remains in the same position. The gaze moves to the right, then shifts to the left. Movements should be slow and careful.

Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage is an effective alternative to blepharoplasty.

In particular, the procedure is indicated for those who have just begun to deteriorate the condition of the eyelids.

It is optimal to repeat the "treatment" twice a day.

The use of a cream containing vitamin E, aloe extract will help improve the result.

Massage technique:

 1. The massage begins with a thorough cleansing of the skin and applying cream to problem areas.
 2. Then you need to pay attention to "warming up".
 3. The scalp is massaged for a minute. The nature of the movements is circular, small, the direction is counterclockwise.
 4. The final stage of preparation is gently pulling the hair up. To do this, the strands collected in a bundle are collected at the roots.

Lymphatic drainage massage includes the following actions:

 1. The palms are placed on the forehead, the tips of the fingers touch approximately in its center. The forehead is gently massaged towards the edges. The action is carried out five times, the movements should not be sharp.
 2. Fingers are placed on the temples, slightly squeezing them. The position is maintained for about 5 seconds, followed by relaxation. Five repetitions are enough.
 3. The fingers are distributed over the face, affecting the area of the cheeks, the area under the eyes and eyebrows. Captured zones are compressed for 5 seconds, then released. The number of repetitions is 5.
 4. Fingers move to the cheeks, gently squeeze them for 5 seconds.
 5. The tips of the fingers are placed on the face, passed through the corners of the eyes, the areas around them, touching the temples. Careful "tapping" continues for about 2 minutes.
 6. The face is compressed by the palms for 5 seconds, then the hands relax. The action is repeated 5 times.

Lymphatic drainage massage activates the supply of cells with oxygen, improves blood circulation.

With its help, shallow wrinkles are smoothed out, puffiness disappears, "bags" and bruises under the eyes are eliminated, the corners of the eyes are lifted.

Masks and creams

Eye creams and masks are an economical alternative to blepharoplasty.

Regardless of the condition of the skin, their use will provide quick and noticeable results.

Mask recipes:

 1. Strawberry mask effectively refreshes the delicate skin of the eyelids, smoothes and nourishes it. Strawberries are kneaded with a spoon, mixed with cream to the consistency of a thick mass. Ready "cream" is wrapped in gauze, kept on the eyelids for half an hour. The addition of honey will enhance the result. When removing the mask, it is recommended to use milk.
 2. Oatmeal mask– Powerful lifting for the eyelids. The flakes are carefully crushed, poured with hot cream. The time required for the composition to cool is waited, then it is mixed with olive oil (just a few drops). The finished mask is applied to the skin of the eyelids for 20-30 minutes.
 3. nettle mask saturate the skin of the eyelids with valuable elements. The leaves are crushed with a mixer or manually, poured with boiling water, aged for half an hour. The resulting mass is carefully filtered, a small amount of starch and honey is added. The mask is laid out in gauze, applied to the face for half an hour. It is best to wash it off with cool water.
 4. Protein mask restores elasticity to the skin of the eyelids, tightens it. For cooking, take half a small cucumber. The vegetable is finely rubbed, juice is squeezed out of its mass. Whipped protein is mixed with juice, a teaspoon of flour is added (wheat is best). The maximum exposure time is 15 minutes, the mask is removed until completely dry.

- a solution for those who do not want to spend time preparing home remedies.

Their composition allows them to effectively eliminate age-related changes affecting the eyelids, saturate the skin with valuable substances.

What cream to choose?

The right cream is also able to deal with problems that are eliminated by:

 1. If the skin of the eyelids loses its natural elasticity, is weakened, creams containing fruit acids can be recommended. Means activate the production of collagen.
 2. If a woman is fond of tanning and this negatively affects the condition of the eyelids, it is worth trying anti-oxidizing creams. They not only protect the skin, but also refresh it, fight wrinkles.
 3. After 35 years, you can pay attention to creams containing vitamin A. The products are effective against deep wrinkles, "revive" the eyes.
 4. "Bags" and swelling are eliminated with the help of creams, which include hyaluronic acid, caffeine, seaweed.

Cosmetologists do not advise focusing on one cream.

Means it is useful to alternate, using one in the morning, the other in the evening.

How to apply cream?

When applying the cream, do not apply the cream directly to the eyelids, because during the night the cream "gets" to the lash line and gets into the eyes, which will lead to irritation, red eyes, and swelling.

Apply eye cream not on the eyelids, but around the eyelids, then overnight the cream will be on the eyelids, and not in the eyes.

Folk remedies

Traditional medicine is a strong competitor to blepharoplasty.

There are recipes that allow you to achieve a lifting effect, eliminate "bags" and bruises, "refresh" the look:

What to do if the skin around the eyes has become flabby and dark circles appear under the eyes? In this regard, there are very effective homemade masks, which we want to tell you about today.

A person’s gaze can tell a lot, which is probably why we maintain eye contact with the interlocutor during communication. Dark circles, dryness, swelling, fine wrinkles spoil the overall picture, adding dullness and fatigue to the look. In order to preserve the youthfulness and elasticity of the skin in the eye area, it is important to provide it with thorough care with the help of nourishing and moisturizing mixtures. To solve the problem of sagging skin around the eyes, homemade masks can be used, which we will talk about a little later.

The skin of this zone is very different from the general skin of the body, because it is in that zone that it is the thinnest. Under the skin in the eye area, there is practically no fat layer, few sebaceous and sweat glands, as well as elastin and collagen. That is why this area is most prone to premature aging and needs special care.

The first swelling, wrinkles and bruises in the eye area signal that it is time to act immediately. Such problems appear at about 23-27 years old, and over time they multiply. As a rule, there are:

 • dryness of the cover, it provokes the appearance of the first wrinkles and sagging;
 • bags under the eyes and bruises, the cause of their appearance is venous congestion or the close proximity of the vessels to the surface of the skin;
 • mimic wrinkles, crow's feet, in the corner of the eyes, as a rule, become noticeable after 28 years;

Starting from the age of 35, the presented troubles are added:

 • very thin flabby skin due to long-term dryness of the skin;
 • spider veins - the result of bruising under the eyes;
 • skin pigmentation.

To avoid all the above troubles, it is important to take care of the area around the eyes in time, so that later you do not have to suffer from complications. It is necessary to choose the right cream, apply nourishing masks, use oils and, if necessary, visit a beautician.

Before we start looking at the many home remedies for premature aging and flabbiness, let's look at the simplest rules for their application. Remember, only those who do not use it correctly speak about the inefficiency and uselessness of home cosmetics.

 1. All products for the mixture must be fresh and at room temperature.
 2. Such masks are not prepared for the future, as they quickly lose their wonderful properties.
 3. Before using any mixture, it is necessary to do an individual tolerance test in order to avoid even more trouble. To do this, a drop of the product must be smeared on the inside of the wrist or the skin behind the ear, then rinse and observe if there are no discomfort, redness and itching - you can safely use it for its intended purpose.
 4. The mask is best applied with a cotton pad. The finished composition is distributed on it and simply pressed against the problem area. At this point, it is advisable to take a comfortable lying position and relax.
 5. The duration of the remedy is 20 minutes, then the cotton pad is removed, and the residue is washed off with water or herbal decoction.
 6. After the procedure, the skin needs to be moisturized, natural oils are suitable for this: olive, jojoba, almond, sea buckthorn. They are gently “driven in” with fingertips, a quarter of an hour after application, the excess is blotted with a napkin.
 7. For complete eye care, 2-3 applications of the selected mask per week are enough.

To maintain the beauty and youthfulness of the skin not only around the eyes, but throughout the body, reconsider your lifestyle. In addition, wean yourself from the habit of squinting or frowning, wear sunglasses in the summer, get enough sleep, drink plenty of clean water and do not forget to remove makeup before going to bed.

Do not buy cosmetics for the care of aging skin to eliminate flabbiness, choose cosmetics that are suitable for age, of course, you will have to go through a lot of funds before finding your own, but thanks to this, the skin will remain young and beautiful longer.
