But sometimes it happens that a manufacturer produces some kind of thing that I just lacked for complete happiness, solving its own special problems, and something "incomprehensible-strange" becomes a favorite means. My most problematic area on the face (since childhood) is the eyes, so I'm looking for new discoveries precisely among the products for eye makeup. And here's what I managed to find there some time ago: a primer for concealer and washer the area around the eyes.

Now I will explain what it is, more clearly.

Five years ago I discovered such a great product as, and use them with success under a concealer - but of course, it is much more interesting to find a primer specifically focused on our problems. So to the description: Firstly, Under Eye Primer moisturizes the skin, which in itself reduces wrinkles. In addition, it contains reflective particles that improve the masking of imperfections, as well as caffeine, peptides and other components that are designed to fight dark circles already prolonged.

I decided to put aside my shyness and show the results of today's tests on myself, with all my skin imperfections. We take these initial data of a not very sleepy person:

Under Eye Primer can be applied without concealer, just to lightly mask and smooth the under eye area. Honestly, there is almost no difference in life, but in the photo, the light reflection always shows itself better, although, of course, there was no flash here.

Despite the fact that the area is lightened and aligned a little, for me this is not an option "on the way out". Although if you run away somewhere on business, without makeup - a great option, I admit it. The concealer lays on the Under Eye Primer a little more evenly, but still fillers give more pronounced filling and smoothing of wrinkles. Although they are heavier in consistency, of course.

The total is a remedy for you if you don't like fillers, or the problem with wrinkles under the eyes is not very pronounced, or you have very dark circles under the eyes. Yes, a reflective underlay will work great with a concealer, and you won't have white semicircles under your eyes, even from the flash.

It is very difficult to describe the purpose of this remedy, especially since we do not even have a word suitable for it: I will name it "Slicker" and try to explain what I mean.

In general, you all probably know the meaning of the word blur, "blur", which has been used by photographers for a long time without any attempts to adapt: \u200b\u200bjust blur. As you can imagine, any blur effect hides imperfections, and Instablur Eye aims to do just that. It can be used either as a primer under a concealer, since it not only gives a blur effect, but also fills in wrinkles (of course, this is our trusty silicone on guard), or as a light concealer in itself, because it is also tinted. But the shade is weak, and besides, it is only one - flesh-colored with a yellowish undertone.

Let's see what it gives when applied without additional concealers:

As you can see, the blurring and masking of imperfections are really noticeable, just compare with the previous photos. It would seem - a super-thing, and I will only use it! But no, there are also "buts".

The problem is Instablur Eye doesn't blend very well. It must be taken very little and carefully distributed (preferably with your fingers, since such textures become more plastic from heat), smearing somewhere, driving somewhere, and fight the resulting lumps. And not every concealer is friends with Instablur Eye, I warn you right away. As you can see in the photo, you can still apply it well, but you also have to make efforts. Plus a yellowish undertone: although it is very light, it is not desirable for everyone.

So the tool is ambiguous, you have to think and try.

And I deliberately decided to show them on my hand so that it was better understood about the features of the texture. On the left - Smashbox Under Eye Primer and The Body Shop Instablur Eye just squeezed drop by drop from the tube, on the right - slightly shaded (for application to the skin, of course, you need to take less and shade them more):

Pay attention to the small lumps of Instablur Eye in the first version: I deliberately did not remove them. That is how it splashes, as if "snorts", when squeezed out of the tube. How to apply a foundation for shadows correctly?

Now I will try to list the fundamental principles when using an eyelid primer that will allow you not to be disappointed in the purchase of this product:

2. Applying a moisturizer for the eyes, just give it time to absorb, the interval depends on the consistency of the product;
3. You can lightly apply a napkin to the eyelids so that there is no excess cream;
4. Depending on what texture the product has, it is easier and most convenient to apply it with your fingers, if there is a special spatula, then it is better to use it, and then patting the product over the skin;
5. If the base is in a tube resembling a lip gloss, then it is enough to apply just a few drops to the eyelid and easily drive the product into the skin with your fingers;
6. You can apply the base both on the upper eyelid and on the lower, but the second option is practiced less often;
7. Usually, the eyelid base dries very quickly, so you can immediately apply absolutely any shadow, eyeliner, pencil;
8. In the evening, the eyeshadow along with the primer can be easily washed off with any cleanser, such as milk.

What if there is no eyelid base?

Purchase it, of course. But seriously, some girls do this:

• Powder eyelid skin. This method takes place, since the eyelids really dry out, but if you do this constantly, you can quickly become the owner of wrinkles in this area.
• Apply shadows wet applicator. This method helps to increase the brightness of the shadows, but it is unlikely to prevent them from rolling. Suitable for dry eyelid skin.
• Use shadows on top. Not a bad option, but it can again dry out the thin sensitive skin of the eyelids or, on the contrary, excessively moisturize, which will lead to a hated strip of shadows in the crease of the eyelid. But this method is practiced, so it is worth trying.
• Use white pencil... The color of the eyeshadows becomes much more intense, but the durability does not increase.
• Apply to eyelids lip balm... Crazy way, really. I don't know what texture this product should have, basically they are all sticky, at least for me. Therefore, the skin of the eyelids may even more oily.

You can try replacing the product with one of the proposed options, but the easiest way is to buy this product once and use it for a very long time, since it is quite economical... For six months, daily use is more than enough for you.
