I am a supporter of minimalism and natural beauty, so I had no idea about eyelash extensions - until I went to the @keeplooking page on Instagram. Perhaps these were the most natural (not my) eyelashes that I have ever seen. We must try - I decided.

On Friday after work I went to an unknown, mysterious procedure and worried about how I would lie for 2 hours with my eyes closed, and how I would look after (what if I don’t like it?).

I went into the salon, and at the same moment I appreciated the beautiful, light and stylish interior. The administrator met me politely, and before I had time to sit down, Master Daria came up to me and opened one of several equally white doors in front of me. A small room was waiting for me outside the door, with a couch, a table and relaxing music.

Dasha immediately asked me about my wishes, to which I replied that I wanted everyone to look and think that I was simply impossibly beautiful, but my eyelashes, or in extreme cases, wondered what kind of mascara I had. Then I showed her "those" Instagram photos. Dasha said that the photo is a classic, but since my eyelashes are thick and long, on me they will look like false eyelashes with double volume. A week has passed, and I still cannot get enough of it and even think about a correction before my September vacation.

I had never done eyelash extensions before, so I was a little worried before the first procedure. In Nikonorova lash & brow hall I was asked to wash my face before starting extension and rinse my eyelashes thoroughly with a special shampoo. After that the master Karina took me to the office. The interior of the salon is made in white colors, on the ground floor there is an area for training and advanced training of craftsmen, and on the second there is a studio.

I lay down on the couch, covered myself with a blanket and made myself comfortable.
Karina is a master with seven years of experience. Before starting the procedure, I told her about how often I dye my eyelashes, what mascara I use, what result I would like to get. I was afraid that after the extension my eyelashes would look too doll-like, so I asked to make the most natural version. The eyelash extension took us a little over 2 hours. All this time Karina shared with me the details of the procedure. Main contraindications: feeling unwell, allergic reactions, conjunctivitis.

At the very beginning of the procedure, the master isolates the lower eyelashes with special white patches. And after building up, the master recommended that I lie down for 7-10 minutes so that the glue vapor passes. After 10 minutes, I went to the mirror and began to examine my eyelashes.

Karina explained that in the next couple of hours it is better not to touch them, not to wet them and try to sleep on your back. The next day, you can wash your face as usual. Make an appointment with the master a day before building and ask them to glue a pair of cilia - during this time you will be able to assess the condition of the eyes and understand whether this glue is dangerous for them.
• Ask your technician how long the entire procedure will take. High-quality build-up is rarely quick - at least because the glue after each eyelash must have time to dry. Then the adjacent eyelashes will not stick together, which means that the appearance and comfort of wearing will not raise any questions. Be wary if at the very end the master rushes you and asks you to evaluate the work - you cannot open your eyes for at least 10 minutes after the last eyelash extension. Then the glue vapors will not damage the eyes or cause redness.
• Pay attention to which brush the master brushes your eyelashes. If he uses a non-disposable brush, there is a reason to think about his professionalism. A competent professional will take care of the safety of his client and will even give a brush as a gift to take care of eyelashes at home.
