The events are planned at Ploschad 1905 Goda, Oktyabrskaya Square, Istoricheskiy Square and many other cultural venues. Traditionally, the sale of alcohol in the recreation area will be prohibited.

By the start of the events, the roads, streets and walking areas will be cleaned, the facades of buildings along the central highways will be decorated with flags and banners with congratulations. During the holiday, the organization of traffic will be changed. As a reminder, on August 19, road repairs will be completed and traffic will open on Tatishchev Street from Krasnouralskaya to Tokarei.

The central festive events on the City Day in the Ural capital will be: the city flower festival "Zapovedny Garden", an international cat show, a gastronomic festival, a gala show of the International Festival of Brass Bands, an evening gala concert with the participation of Russian pop stars Sati Kazanova and Stas Piekha, the show " Voices of Yekaterinburg ”, which will be hosted by Dmitry Nagiyev, and the jury will be Valery Meladze, Polina Gagarina and Alexander Pantykin.

Near the cinema "Cosmos" from 11 to 22:30 there will be an eco-festival "Dream City" with a large number of master classes and activities for both children and adults.
