Crochet summer hat. Children's panama hats with crocheted flowers. Patterns, description of knitting. Scheme for correct field expansion

Summer is a wonderful warm time of year, but the sun's rays and heat can be dangerous and cause heatstroke or sunstroke. Therefore, in such weather it is very important to protect the child’s head with a comfortable and, preferably, light-colored hat. Summer Panama hats, which are perfect for girls, can be crocheted with your own hands. Cotton Panama hats allow the skin to breathe, and the original models will not leave any little fashionista indifferent.

Some tips on knitting a baby hat for beginners:
  • For beginners, it is better to choose plain light-colored threads and avoid melange threads, as they will make counting stitches difficult.
  • It is better to choose natural cotton yarn; high-quality acrylic, viscose or silk is also suitable. Avoid fuzzy threads and lurex.
  • Threads for crocheting must be well twisted, otherwise it will be very uncomfortable to grip them and knitting will slow down significantly.
  • It is important to choose the optimal shape of the hook, the head of which should not be too round or too sharp.
  • In order not to be mistaken with the size, it is worth knitting a small sample of the pattern, then washing and steaming, this way you can accurately calculate the shrinkage of the threads and the number of loops.
  • Knitting hats begins in the same way as napkins: make a sliding loop or a small ring of several air loops. On average, the flat part of a Panama hat will be 16-21 cm.
  • When the edges of the Panama hat begin to curl, the number of increases is gradually reduced.
  • Before knitting the fields, it is advisable to make a headband from several rows of single crochets (you can take contrasting threads).
  • Embroidery, thermal appliqué and knitted flowers are suitable for decorating panama hats.

You will need mixed yarn (cotton and viscose 50:50 “willow” 430 m/100 g), hook No. 2.

Work on a Panama hat begins from the top of the head. We roll the thread into a ring and tie it. In the first row - 3 air loops for lifting, (chain loop, double crochet) - repeat the rapport in brackets 13 times, then close the circle by knitting 1 more air loop and a connecting loop. We tighten the ring using the opposite end of the thread.

We proceed to knitting a round piece of the required diameter (bottom) according to the pattern:

Calculation of the diameter of a circle: the circumference is equal to the diameter multiplied by pure Pi (3.14). For example, if the length is 50 cm, then 50:3.14 = 15.9 (rounded to 16). We knit a circle with a diameter of 16 cm.

Next we knit without making an increase: (double crochet, chain stitch), increasing the required depth of the Panama hat. We draw the hook along the arches of the air loops. After this, we knit the headband in 3 rows with single crochets using white threads. The edge needs to be tied with a pattern with openwork scallops according to the diagrams.

Let’s try to make a “daisy” panama hat for a girl with our own hands

For this work you will need cotton threads in white, yellow and green colors.

At the beginning of knitting, we connect 7 air loops into a ring with yellow threads. Next we knit 3 instep stitches and 16 double crochets. The chamomile will have seventeen petals. The middle is ready, the yellow thread needs to be cut off, leaving a more or less long section of thread to sew on a decoration (ladybug).

Approximate diagram of the bottom of a Panama hat:

We begin to knit the petals with white threads. For one petal: cast on 16 air loops, knit into the fifth loop from the end of the chain: four double crochets, four more double crochets, then three half double crochets, a single crochet, knit a connecting half loop into the single crochet of the previous row. We knit the remaining petals. The flower is ready. You need to tie it with connecting loops and break the thread.

Basic pattern diagram:

Having attached the green thread, we knit arches from 3 air loops between the petals and above them. Then we knit 3 double crochets into each arch and break the thread.

We knit the next row with yellow thread and break it again. We switch to knitting embossed facial columns white threads. We continue knitting without increments to the required depth of the Panama hat.

Before knitting the fields, we knit the headband in 3-4 rows with single crochets. We knit the fields according to the pattern shown below:

This pattern looks very impressive on a children's hat. Yarn for knitting can be taken in one tone or made with contrasting fields. Pure cotton is best light shade, in such a panama hat it will not be hot, and the pattern will be the clearest.

First, we collect 6 air loops and close them into a ring. We knit according to the pattern with the description: in each air loop we knit 1 double crochet. In the third row, in each column we knit 2 double crochets, 2 chain stitches, 2 double crochets.

Then we knit 3-4 loops for lifting, 1 double crochet, 2 chain crochets, 2 double crochets, 2 chain crochets, 2 double crochets. We repeat the pattern to the end of this row, knitting it into each arch of chain stitches of the row below.

We continue knitting until the circle reaches the desired diameter. According to the pattern in the photo we knit the main part of the Panama hat:

The fields can be linked according to any pattern you like. You can decorate a Panama hat knitted flower, ribbons (pull the ribbon along the bottom row of the main part) or other decor at your discretion. Panama hat with a pineapple pattern is ready!

Crochet is amazingly versatile. The yarn can be used to knit both warm clothes and light, sometimes airy, summer clothes. Knitted Panama hat is a good example. Beginner mothers love to crochet brightly colored bucket hats. This explains the great abundance of children's Panama hats in this section.

The bottom diagram is not complete, there should be another row with an extension, where the extension goes through 3 fans. I’ll try to explain in words, because I’m unlikely to be able to draw better. For the bottom, the repeat of the pattern in height is repeated 4 times, the first time by 6 fans, the second by 12, the third by 18, the fourth by 24, and then it is knitted without increases, i.e. 24 rapports are just enough to fit the head circumference. The expansion is due to an arch of 3 ch, which is knitted in a row between fans of 7 dcs. (then in the next row the hdc is knitted into this arch). First these extras. the arches are knitted between each fan, then after 2, then after 3. In words it seems a lot and complicated, in fact everything is very simple, I didn’t even tie the bottom, the first time and without any pattern, this extension of the pattern worked out well for me
Flowers for decoration are also by eye. 6 v.p. close in a ring.
2nd row: *2dc, ch 7*, repeat 6 times.
3rd row: each arch of 7 vp. tie *sc, hdc, 10 dc, hdc, sc*, sl st in dc of previous row.
Tie a flower with a contrasting thread *SS, ch*
Panama hat is knitted from chamomile yarn, hook number 2, head circumference approx. 50cm.

After the Panama hat is knitted to the required depth, the row that comes after the fans (3 sc, 5 ch) is tied with sc, then a row of arches is knitted, 5 ch each. (2 pieces per 1 pattern repeat). And then the fields according to the fan pattern. At the base of the fan I knitted 9 DCs, in the last row I replaced 3 DCs tied together with 2 DCs together, and then tied the fans with arches of 3 chain stitches. I also stretched a ribbon along the last row of the pattern.

Head circumference: for any circumference.
Yarn: “Ivushka” Semenovskaya yarn (50% cotton, 50% viscose, 430 m/100 g).
Hook: No. 2

crochet knitted hats

Despite their young age, little princesses always want to look magical and beautiful. Often the entire look that a little girl has come up with for herself is spoiled by an absurdly chosen headdress, so the little girl does not want to wear it, despite the terrible cold or, on the contrary, the scorching sun. To prevent such incidents from happening to children, we recommend choosing accessories and decorations in accordance with their wishes. Not only blouses and dresses should be beautiful, but also hats. In this article we will look at such an important detail of the image as a Panama hat for a girl.

These types of products are most often crocheted. If you follow simple rules, the result often exceeds expectations, and even the little and spoiled princess herself will happily put on a hat that perfectly harmonizes with her sundress or summer suit. So how to knit this accessory? Now let’s look at the brief instructions and get acquainted with some of the nuances in this work.

You should start with the circumference of the child's head. It is clear that you can choose elastic yarn, and then you will get a universal Panama hat for a girl. However, it is not always possible to crochet such a thing, since it is used mainly with natural threads. Therefore, it is advisable to decide on all the parameters in advance. And only after that start working. Now let's start choosing the yarn itself. Since our hat is for summer, it is advisable to choose cotton threads that allow air to pass through, therefore, the child will not be hot in such a hat. It is recommended to work with such yarn with a size 1.5 crochet hook (if you don’t have one, purchase one).

So, where does the creation of such a masterpiece as a Panama hat for a girl begin? a ring formed from a thread, we enclose it in 9 single crochets. After this, we pull together the resulting result and tie everything together. This is how we get the first row, which will later become the top of the hat. Now we knit the second row. It begins with three chain stitches, followed by a final chain stitch and a double crochet stitch worked into the next stitch. This is the foundation from which any summer Panama hat begins to be built. First, air loops are crocheted, and then a pattern is attached to them - the one you choose.

Most often, hats for little princesses are bell-shaped. This model is universal and very comfortable to wear; in addition, such a hat is very easy to knit. It is only important to increase the number of columns and loops in equal proportions with each row, and ensure that the pattern is even and does not warp. By following these simple rules, you can quickly make knitted patterns for such products are very simple, and even a novice needlewoman can figure them out.

It is worth noting that the more air loops are provided in your pattern, the more openwork and delicate the accessory will be. However, it is also not worth going overboard with them, since otherwise the hat will not perform its main function - to protect the child from the sun's rays. In principle, it’s quite simple, the main thing is to choose the right hook, yarn and understand the pattern.
