Soaring Christmas tree made of Christmas balls. Volumetric hanging tree from balls Christmas tree from hanging balls

With the onset of the New Year holidays, each of us thinks about the Christmas tree. You can buy a green beauty and dress it up by bringing it into the house. Or you can do it yourself. In the latter case, there are many options for a flight of imagination: a tree can be paper, wire, made of rain or sewn from fabric. We offer you another very unusual version of the New Year tree - a soaring tree made of balls. It is not so difficult to make it, but it will amaze guests and will be remembered for a long time. After the holiday, it is easy to disassemble and save until next year.

Let's see what we need to make such an original New Year's miracle. Required materials and tools:
round grill (old grill grill will do);

Christmas balls;

Reliable wire;

Pliers and wire cutters;

About 2 chains;

Mounts and clamps.

When everything you need is found, you can get to work. We start from the base, for this we securely fix the wire in several places of the lattice so that small loops are formed. It is imperative to make sure that the wire attachments are symmetrical, otherwise the grille will tilt. We divide the chain into 4 equal parts and fasten it to the wire using carabiners. We fasten the free ends of the chains together at one point and also attach to the carabiner.

Photo 2 - The basis for the hanging tree

Now that our base is ready, we cut the fishing line for hanging the balls into segments. It is better to make several types of blanks from fishing line of different lengths. At the ends of the line we make loops that can be securely fastened with clamps. Then we hang the balls on the fishing line on the lattice using hooks. If you don't have any hooks, you can use unfolded paper clips.

Photo 3 - This is how the intermediate version should look

In order for the composition of the balls to turn out beautiful and harmonious, do not hang the balls randomly. Experiment and choose the pattern according to which you want to hang the balls.

Photo 4 - This tree looks from all sides. Even from below

That's all, our original hanging Christmas tree is ready. For her, you can use both the same balls of the same color, and Christmas tree decorations that are completely different in color and shape. If you want to use different Christmas tree decorations, then it is desirable that there are only 2-3 different types of them. Such an interesting composition can not only replace a natural winter guest, but also become an addition to it. In addition, this is a suitable option not only for an apartment or house, but even for an office or other work space.

Photo 5 - Your beauty will delight you no less than a real tree

You constantly find new solutions and combinations. On the New Year's Eve, one of such solutions can be an original and unusual hand-made Christmas tree. Such a New Year's decor will be appropriate, both in the house and in the office.

You will need:

Step 2. Tying the fishing line to the frame

In order for the frame of the future tree not to be conspicuous, the top of the tree should be placed below the frame by about 50 cm or even lower. This must be taken into account when cutting the fishing line, since the height of the tree made of balls will be about a meter. Therefore, we cut 96 pieces of line at 1.5 meters. To save fishing line, 20-30 pieces that will hang on small circles can be cut by the meter. We tie the fishing line to the frame in its place. We attach chains in four opposite corners of the iron ring of the frame. We attach the other ends of the chains to the connecting ring. We hang the structure by the connecting ring to the ceiling of the room. We choose a place without drafts so that the Christmas tree does not constantly get confused.

Step 3. We hang toys

So let's start at the top. We attach a paper clip to the first toy, put it on the central fishing line, the end of which (clamped with a stopper) forms a loop. We hang the following toys on hinges fixed not with stoppers, but with masking tape. This will allow you to adjust the length of the line. If adjusted by you

Perhaps this is the most "feminine" of the master classes dedicated to making a New Year tree. You don't need any construction tools at all - just a set that is in the arsenal of any self-respecting seamstress. A solution for owners of small apartments and adherents of minimalism: I suggest making an unusual airy Christmas tree decoration yourself.

So, in this material you will learn how to make a Christmas tree from balls with your own hands.

Materials and tools
Hoop with clip.
The cloth.
Compass.
Fishing line.
Soft meter or tape measure.
Needle and beads.
Christmas balls.

Step 1. Decide on the size
First you have to figure out the size and the required number of Christmas balls. To do this, simply lay them out on the floor or on a table.
I initially decided that I wanted a tree with a height of 120 cm (not counting 20 cm to the base) and with an indent of 20 cm between each row. At the same time, in order to get a rather elegant shape, I took a hoop with a not very large circle (30 cm), which became the maximum diameter.
Then I stopped at six circles, while on each of them the number of balls increased by two. As a result, I needed 49 balls, counting the central one: the tree turned out to be of medium height and not very dense - it is definitely worth experimenting and deciding which sizes are best for your room.

Step 2. Prepare the base
As a base to which the airy tree is attached, I used a fabric stretched tight between the hoops - this method is the most visual and economical. You can, however, find other options - a metal barbecue grate, a flat sieve without a handle, or something else of a suitable size.
If you go my way, try to find the most elegant and, moreover, dense fabric.
Pulling it as tightly as possible, find the center of the circle and mark the planned number of circles with a compass. Note that when the base is suspended, the marks should point towards the ceiling, and thus be on the back of the stretched fabric.

Step 3. Determine the design of the future tree
Several options are possible.
Christmas tree "levels". In this case, each new row of balls is hung exactly, at a certain distance from the past.
Christmas tree in a spiral. There is an indent inside each row between the balls, while they are hung sequentially in a circle.
Christmas tree classic - is as similar as possible in shape to the real one, where the balls are at different heights.

I hung the balls on loops, cutting off twice as much fishing line and folding it in half, due to which I had only one knot for each hanging ball - on top in the base, which made the tree neater (there is no fishing line sticking out anywhere), and the work is easier ( knitting extra knots from an almost transparent dense thread is an exercise only for the most patient).

To speed up the process of measuring the line, you can assemble a simple fixture from an office clamp attached to the surface and a soft meter.

After attaching the ball to the fishing line, thread the second end of it into the needle and pass it through the base fabric. Now put a bead on it and tie a knot.
Firstly, a thin knot tied from only one line can easily fall out of an insufficiently dense fabric, for example, flax, as in my case.
Secondly, it will be much easier to make changes to an already assembled tree. Surely, when you finish, you will want to pull something up or change places. With beads, you don't have to blindly search for the desired ball.

Tip: It is best to immediately collect the Christmas tree in the place where it will hang, and not wear it ready-made, so that the fishing lines do not get confused (and they do it quickly and mercilessly). So this version of the tree is not suitable for rooms with curious animals, children, it will not work to mount it at the balcony door. If possible, tack the base in place as soon as you pull the fabric over the hoop (step 2).

An incredibly beautiful floating Christmas tree can be created with your own hands from ordinary Christmas balls, which are mainly used to decorate a forest beauty.

Materials and tools:

1. Christmas balls. The number of balls is determined based on the size of the tree you are going to create. The diameter of the balls also depends on the expected dimensions of the tree. Small balls can be used to make a compact Christmas tree that can be placed on a table, and large balls are best used to make large Christmas trees. It is best to use balls without metal caps, i.e. with fastening in the form of loops.
2. Fishing line. The diameter of the line depends on the weight of the balls used.
3. Scissors.
4. Pliers or round nose pliers.
5. A decorative chain that can support the weight of the tree being created.
6. A metal grill, available from a hardware store.
6. Carabiner for hanging our tree.

Step 1. From the decorative chain we make four equal segments and using pliers or round nose pliers we create a suspension that will hold the lattice on the hook.

Step 2. We create a markup, in accordance with which the tiers of our Christmas tree will be hung. The outer diameter of the largest marking circle must match the outer radius of the metal grating.

Step 3. Measuring the required length of the fishing line, we begin to hang the Christmas balls. Hanging is carried out from the top of our tree. When moving to the next circle of our marking, we consistently increase the length of the line. At the beginning of this procedure, it is necessary to hang the grid with a carabiner on a temporary hook. The work will be painstaking, but interesting.

Balls can be used not only green, but also silver or transparent. It all depends on your imagination.

The final step is to choose a place to hang the Floating Christmas Tree.
