I use the following materials and tools:

• acrylic paints

Cover the buttons with white nail polish. For 2-3 layers. Dry it well.

We take acrylic paints. Use the main color (green, blue, brown) to paint the circle...

Good evening everyone! I want to share with you a small master class that I recently mastered. Perhaps it will be useful to someone.
How can you do it?
P.S. I have already made several batches of eyes, photographed different stages of the process and now I have compiled them into a more or less sequence. Therefore, in the photo there are different sizes of the eyes and different lighting. But the process itself is the same.
To make the eyes you will need white baked plastic, absolutely any one, I use inexpensive one from St. Petersburg. Let's make two balls.

You also need a tool with a ball at the end, but I think you can use any bead. We push through the hemisphere.




I make several pieces at once, place them on a sponge and bake. I bake in an air grill for 20 minutes at a temperature of 125 degrees.




After baking, let the pieces cool and paint the iris in the desired color and draw the pupil. The pupil can also be made from a ball of black baked plastic. From personal experience, the drawn pupil turns pale after the gel is baked.



Now the secret itself is that you need this Fimo gel. It is sold in the same place where the plastic itself is sold, it costs around five hundred rubles and this tube is enough for many, many eyes.

Please note that the gel is NOT transparent BEFORE baking.

We drip it so that we get a small lens. I emphasize the word SMALL, because if you drop a lot, the gel will spread. A little skill and experience will help you catch the moment when it’s enough to pour)))). I still don’t always manage to take the correct dose))).


I also advise you to wait about 5 minutes after dropping the gel; bubbles or air balls may appear that got into the gel during the process of squeezing it out of the tube. These bubbles need to be pierced with a needle or toothpick. Otherwise, they will remain and can ruin the appearance of the eye. In the photo below there are bubbles on some of the eyes, my experience))).
Then very carefully set it to bake. I bake the same way - 20 minutes at 125 degrees.
And voila! After baking, the gel becomes transparent!


I cover the eyes with regular nail polish, clear. I decided to insert a disclaimer from the comment below - IF YOU ARE MAKING THE BASE OF AN EYE FROM FIMO, DO NOT USE NAIL POLISH, USE PLASTIC POLISH. NAIL POLISH ON FIMO BECOMES STICKY AFTER A SOME TIME. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.
