  Template and step-by-step master class on decoration for beginners

Cut a template of chocolate bars from white paper with the dimensions indicated on the stencil. The sizes are given for a box under a standard chocolate bar.

Please note that chocolate may have different parameters. Therefore, it is recommended to first buy the tile and measure it, and then proceed with the work.

Bend the base of the workpiece. To do this, draw a line of scissors or a large needle with the lines along which you will bend the template. Do this carefully so as not to cut through the paper. Then bend the workpiece along these lines and straighten.

Cut parts from paper with prints to the size of the front side, the inside and the pocket. You can make them smaller than the base by 0.5 cm, so that in the finished form around the picture a frame forms. So the product will look more beautiful.

Before collecting chocolate, you need to paste over its base with scrapbook paper. Glue the part first on the inside of the box, apply glue around the perimeter.

From the lace for ties, cut two ribbons 15-18 cm long. They need to be glued to the base under the scrapbook paper.

Stick one tape on the middle of the front side, putting a little glue on the edge.

Glue the printed paper on top.

Attach the second ribbon to the fold on the outside of the pocket. Stick scrapbook paper on top.

Attach a butterfly to the upper left corner of the pivot. To do this, glue the center of the figure with glue. Press the middle with your finger and hold for a few seconds until it grasps. The edges of the wings slightly bend up. The butterfly will look voluminous.

In the lower right corner of the chocolate bar, stick an element with the inscription, you can buy it or make it yourself.

Take the flowers to decorate the front side and twist their stems together. Cut the tip of the stems, leaving a short tail.

Wrap the tip of the stems with lace tape, pre-lubricating it with glue. Let it dry a little.

Apply glue to the top corner of the front part and the tip of the bouquet. Attach the bouquet to the paper and press firmly. Hold until the part locks. Then lay the edges of the lace ribbon in the form of waves and glue on different sides of the flowers.

Stick down a chocolate bar with a label that says "for you" and a butterfly. By the way, you can do in addition, continuing the line.

Bend the pocket along the folds and glue to the base.

Garnish with rhinestones the inside of the gift box for the chocolate bar.

Put the chocolate inside and tie the ribbon.

If for another occasion such a gift seems too modest to you, make a bouquet of sweets, or, using our step-by-step lessons. Sweet presents are appropriate for any holiday, both women and men are welcome.

Master Class, telling how to make a chocolate bar with your own hands, prepared Zhanna Galaktionova, photo of the author. Especially for the online magazine "Women's Hobbies."

When you are afraid to make a mistake with a gift, you can always replace it with a bill. But what if you attach a chocolate bar to her? It will be a wonderful present, which will be received with gratitude and surprise, whoever it was intended for: a child, a colleague or a school teacher. Among needlewomen, so-called chocolatiers (i.e. envelopes for chocolates and, perhaps, a pocket for a bill) are gaining popularity, which, of course, can be made with your own hands and decorated to your liking. Our master class contains detailed instructions for beginners, which will allow you to learn the basics of creating a chocolate box decorated with flowers from corrugated paper with a tie on the ribbons.

To make a chocolate bar with your own hands, you needed:

designer pearl color cardboard;

plain cardboard in golden color;

corrugated paper unbleached or pearl color;

pearly white or yellowish buttons;

white or pearl color satin ribbons - 0.5 and 1 cm wide;

sewing needle;

sewing thread unbleached color;

pVA glue;

hot silicone glue in the gun;

bilateral volumetric and non-voluminous tape;

a simple pencil;

stationery knife;

breadboard knife;

figured hole punch (in our case - with a heart);

knitting needle or toothpick for bending;

self-growing cutting mat.

How to make a DIY chocolate template

The dimensions of the chocolate bar will vary in each case. If you plan to give a bill and a chocolate bar, the size of the finished chocolate bar in our master class will determine the item that is larger. This is a chocolate bar.

My designer cardboard is already bent for postcards, but I advise you to take an A4 sheet (as a rule, a chocolate bar easily fits the long part of the wrapper to a narrow part of the sheet, and the width of the chocolate bar is laid off three times along the long part of the sheet).

We look at the template shown in the photo.

Let's deal with the template. We look at the rectangle "canvas pocket for chocolate." This is our size of the chocolate, plus 0.5-1 cm to the width and height so that the chocolate freely enters the chocolate. Please note: the parts per volume are exactly equal to the thickness of the chocolate bar. She should not hang out.

The canvas pockets for the bill and the chocolate bar are the same. But the width of the body of each pocket may differ: I made a deeper pocket for the chocolate bar. However, in addition to the visual effect, this does not really matter. Because our do-it-yourself chocolatier will be tied to ribbons, and the cuts of pockets are turned to the center, and money and chocolates in a knotted form have no chance of falling out of the chocolatier.

In addition to a large rectangle from a sheet of designer cardboard, we also cut out two ends of the pocket for the chocolate bar. Shaded parts are places for gluing, they can be of arbitrary width. Attention - to the rectangle inside the end. Its narrow part is equal to the thickness of the chocolate bar, and the long one is the body of the pocket for the chocolate bar (the narrow part of the rectangle on the right).

If your sheet of designer cardboard does not fit the described template, make a two-sheet chocolate bar; just cut the template according to any of the folds and add the missing fragment from the second sheet, while we draw on the gluing 0.5-1 cm strip for applying glue.

DIY Chocolate Postcard: Making the Basis

We cut out the rectangle of the required size (see the template of the chocolate box above) and draw the bend lines with a pencil. Under the line we push the folds from the wrong side of the design cardboard with the help of a skewer, toothpick or not very sharp knitting needle. The main thing is not to break through the cardboard!

Do not forget to wipe the pencil lines with an eraser.

We do not remove the line - we bend our cardboard along it. This measure will avoid creases, the folds will be beautiful and neat on both sides.

How to make a chocolate bar with your own hands: interior decoration

By slices of a rectangle, i.e. over the body of two pockets, we pass a curly hole punch. You can use curly scissors or glue the cut with decorative paper tape. At first I made hearts at a considerable distance from each other, but then I added more holes.

We cut two rectangles from the golden cardboard, each side of which is 1 cm smaller than the dimensions of the canvas of each pocket. For example, a pocket pocket for a chocolate bar or a bill is 10x20 cm. Then the golden rectangles will have dimensions 9X19 cm (i.e. 10-1 \u003d 9 and 20-1 \u003d 19 cm).

Rectangles on the wrong side can be marked with a pencil, but it is better to cut them out with a clerical knife for a ruler: then the slices will be clearer, and along the edge of the rectangle we will avoid the annoying formation of small creases that may appear when cutting with scissors.

One of the rectangles will be used to decorate the front side, and we will need the second to decorate the substrate for the bill. Moreover, I have a place for gluing together parts of a designer cardboard, which I really wanted to mask.

In the two corners of one golden rectangle, I made two holes with a heart punch.

Glue it with hearts to the center of the chocolate bar on the canvas of the pocket for money so that on each side around the golden rectangles there remains a white border 0.5 cm wide. For gluing I recommend PVA glue, after which the workpiece is placed under the press for 10 minutes for better setting.

We must take care of the ties now, during the design of the inside of the chocolate box, otherwise in the future, when the pockets are ready, it will be extremely inconvenient to thread the tape.

We cut off the ribbon of sufficient length: it is necessary that the ribbon encircles the chocolate bar along its narrow part and can freely be tied to a bow. It is recommended to iron the tape before work.

So, from the height of the pocket web, we subtract the width of the prepared tape and divide the resulting number by two. If we have a pocket blade height of 21 cm and a tape width of 1 cm, then (21-1): 2 \u003d 10 cm. We measure 10 cm from the top of the pocket canvas for chocolate and vertically make two cuts with a stationery knife 1 wide -1.2 cm. Thread the tape through these holes, as shown in the photo.

We move the tape so that its center falls approximately on the inner fold of the chocolate bar.

Back to the formation of pockets.

From the design cardboard according to the template, cut the ends of the pocket - 2 pcs. We lay the folds.

Cut corners.

On the front side of the cardboard on the wings, which are hatched on the template, apply two narrow strips of double-sided tape. In this case, it is convenient to use it.

From one side of each end we remove the protective paper and glue on each side of the body of the pocket for the chocolate bar.

We remove the protective paper from one end and seal the pocket, carefully combining the bend of the end part with the cut of the canvas. We do the same for the second side. We get a good pocket.

We return to the pocket for the bill. On the upper and lower narrow part of the body of the pocket for money, apply a thin strip of PVA glue and leave the pocket under pressure.

The inside is ready.

Do-it-yourself chocolate maker using scrapbooking technique: exterior elements

We turn to the most interesting: the exterior of the chocolate. We have already cut out the golden rectangle - and now we glue it on PVA or double-sided tape. Please note: we stretch the tie tape along the outer part so that it is in the right place. And we stick a golden rectangle on it.

From the same design cardboard we cut out another rectangle. Each side of it should be 1 cm smaller than the golden rectangle. We will paste a white rectangle on a voluminous double-sided tape to give volume to the cover of the chocolate bar.

Congratulation

We make a congratulatory plate: on the small rectangle of the design cardboard we write the words of congratulation. From the remnants of the golden cardboard, we cut out a rectangle, each side of which is 1 cm larger than the bright greeting plate.

We are putting them off for now: we will return to them already at the final stage of making chocolate bars.

Flowers

From corrugated paper we cut out small rectangles, approximately 7x5 cm (for each flower - one such rectangle).

Pay attention to the direction of paper compression: this is important.

Cut along the perimeter, cutting off the bend and rounding the narrow part of the rectangle into a petal.

We take on the opposite parts of each oval and twist it in the center so that we get two petals.

Now we take three such pairs and sew them into a flower with a regular sewing needle. Some skill is needed here, so get some more cut paper than you really need for a postcard: it will be possible to choose the most successful flowers.

We do not cut the thread: another 2-3 stitches - for sewing buttons in the center of the paper flower. After that, we remove the needle on the wrong side of the flower, make a bundle and cut the thread.

For a chocolate card I needed 3 flowers.

Leaflets: from a tape and "cutting down"

The leaves on the chocolate bar, as you can see, I have two types. For the first, I cut a narrow white ribbon into small pieces so that they could be folded into loops. The edge of the loop was fixed with a thread - literally a couple of stitches.

From the remnants of the golden cardboard I cut two rectangles, directly on which from the wrong side I drew branches with leaves by hand.

They are conveniently cut with a breadboard knife. If there is no such knife, you can use manicure scissors.

These are the little leaves I got.

Do-it-yourself chocolate girl from paper: cover assembly

We warm up the gun with glue. At this time, we determine the location of the finished elements of our chocolate.

The lower layer will go twigs. We put two drops of hot glue and drown our branches in them.

Then - we put one big blot in the place of one of the flowers. In this blot we quickly recess the loop-leaflets from the ribbon and from above - the flowers themselves. Work must be fast. Repeat the same for the other two leaves. Everything seems to work out.

I also planted a congratulatory tag on silicone glue: firstly, the gun is already warmed up anyway, and secondly, the additional volume in this place will not hurt. I placed the golden substrate under the corner, and the tablet straight.

The self-made chocolate maker is ready for our workshop.

But if there is no time left to buy chocolates, a gift will help out with money. Once we have already said, - we hope this article will help to present the present really beautifully.

Eva Kashio specifically for the site

Chocolate is a favorite delicacy of many women. Probably every girl will be pleased to receive a present in the form of a chocolate bar. You can give it as an addition to the main gift for a birthday or any other holiday. And you can please your close friend, sister or mother, even if there is no official reason. But just handing a regular bar of chocolate is too boring and uninteresting. To really fill the gift, create an original packaging for it. A self-made chocolatier is also a great way to give a birthday man or a gift certificate. And to make it yourself is not at all difficult.

Materials for work

  • a piece of thick watercolor paper or thin cardboard;
  • paper for scrapbooking (it will not need very much, so you can use scraps left over from other works);
  • glue (it is better to use Crystal Moment or hot glue);
  • double sided tape;
  • pencil and ruler;
  • scissors, clerical knife;
  • ribbon, ribbon or any other beautiful rope;
  • hole punch for scrapbooking;
  • decorative elements: paper flowers, leaves, butterflies, beads, cardboard cuttings and other materials;
  • chocolate bar.

Operating procedure

Several design options

In the center of the front of the box, glue a small openwork paper napkin, then - a felling with a congratulatory text. A scattering of half beads and multi-colored paper flowers will complete the composition. Do not put too much decor on the card, everything should look harmonious. A small metal pendant can be sewn onto one end of the ribbon. Then we put a chocolate bar in a pocket and tie a beautiful bow.

Try combining two compatible scrapbooking paper sheets. We make several blanks: large 10 x 8 and small 7 x 8 cm. We cut out waves on a small piece. To do this, you can use a special border hole punch or simple scissors, after drawing a contour with a pencil. You need to tint the edges of each part with an ink pad or a brown pencil. First, glue a large part on the workpiece, then a small one. Glue the lower segment downward, and mask the joints between the paper with a decorative ribbon or ribbon. We decorate the card with paper flowers, beads and ribbons.

A chocolate box decorated with quilling flowers will be interesting. Twist several of these flowers and place them on the card, complementing the composition with beads and ribbons.

You can use a combination of different techniques for decorating chocolate boxes: scrapbooking, decoupage, quilling. It can be decorated with embroidery or a simple pattern. Show your imagination, and you will get a truly original gift that stores a piece of your soul.

This master class is based on the video tutorial by Irina Melnikova “The Chocolate Girl in the Scrapbooking Technique”, which shows how you can make a series of 3 chocolate boxes that differ in design.

For work will be required (for 1 chocolate bar):

  • chocolate template (can be found on the Internet);
  • design paper or cardboard for scrapbooking (density from 200 mg) - 20 cm × 26 cm;
  • a piece of cardboard for the substrate (15.6 cm × 7.6 cm);
  • decorative paper;
  • decorative elements for decoration (cutting, die-cutting, flowers, lace, etc.);
  • 2 ribbons (ties);
  • glue "Crystal Moment";
  • sewing machine (optional).

Work stages

Cardboard blank

Print a pattern of chocolate bars from the Internet.

   The Template Used in This Lesson (Ed.)

On cardboard from the long side (26 cm), lay 1 cm to the side and scoring.

From the first scoring, measure another 1 cm and conduct a second scoring.

The height of the chocolate bar will be 16 cm (according to the template). We postpone this length on the short side of the cardboard, starting from the second scoring. We carry out the third scoring.

From the third scoring, set aside 1 cm and carry out the fourth scoring.

There, on each side of the main size of the chocolate bar, 2 valves were obtained, each 1 cm wide.

We turn over the workpiece: we place it with the long side to ourselves. Set aside 8 cm (according to the pattern). We carry out scoring.

From the first scoring, set aside 1 cm. We carry out the second scoring.

We postpone 8 cm from the second scoring. We carry out the third scoring.

We postpone 1 cm from the third scoring. We carry out the fourth scoring.

Cut off the unnecessary parts (we focus on the template).

The result is a blank in the form of the letter "T".

We bend the workpiece by scoring.

Dressing

For each blank you need to additionally prepare a cardboard backing. The dimensions of the substrate should be less than the size of the template by 2 mm on each side.

The substrate is decorated. After she is sewn to the pattern.

We choose decorative paper with a different pattern, but in one thematic direction for all three chocolate boxes. For example, the topic "Botany."

Cut blanks for substrates.

In random order, we form the decor of each chocolate box.

Tip:   if you use a small section of the main background of another chocolate bar in the design of one chocolate bar, then the “seriality” of all three packages will be emphasized.

The decor uses a variety of carvings, cuttings, lace, artificial flowers, etc.

When the appearance of each chocolate bar is determined, you need to take a picture of everything so that in future work you do not miss some important element of decor.

When the main details of the decor of the chocolate are assembled, decorative lines are laid on the sewing machine. It can be “zigzags” or other interesting types of lines.

You can stitch along the perimeter of the substrate, you can make several lines directly on the pattern.

When the lines are laid, the ends of the thread are displayed on the wrong side and fixed with glue.

We attach the ribbon ties. To do this, mark the middle of the long side of the chocolate.

Glue the ribbons with glue.

Glue the decorated backing to the chocolate.

Decorate the back of the chocolate box.

We put glue on the valves on both sides and collect the chocolate.

On the inside of the chocolate you can write a wish.

You can just stick a beautiful picture.

You can stick a pocket for a bill.

A great idea is to give a handmade card and put a chocolate bar in it! Inside, you can write wishes or make an additional pocket for money, and from the outside you can arrange it beautifully and festively. The chocolate card postcard is a universal gift, suitable for a variety of occasions, from a birthday to a wedding, and for any recipients, from close ones to unfamiliar ones (a special occasion is teacher's day: for him there is a separate master class with interesting autumn templates: he). How to make it with your own hands, read in our scrapbooking master class.

Materials for work

We will need:
  1. plain cardboard with a density of 180 g or more. 28 x 23.5 cm.,
  2. a sheet of double-sided scrapbooking paper measuring 30 x 30 cm.,
  3. satin ribbon 5 mm wide. and a length of 20 cm.,
  4. orange or red ink pad
  5. a figured hole punch of an edge,
  6. PVA glue, double-sided tape,
  7. heat gun with transparent glue,
  8. knife, ruler,
  9. decor - lace, beads, fabric or paper flowers, leaves, etc.

The master class will take about 3-4 hours of free time and will not require any special skills, except for accuracy and the ability to accurately lay out paper on a ruler.

Manufacturing steps

In order to make a postcard with your own hands, first of all, you will need to discover the basis of the future box. In order for the chocolate bar to be firmly fixed inside, it is best to use such a template as in the photo (the scheme increases when you click on it). It is designed for standard-shaped chocolates.
  1. From a plain cardboard we cut the workpiece according to this scheme and we scissor all the fold lines with a knitting needle or an awl.
  2. On the extreme protruding rectangles of 1.5 x 8 cm. Glue a strip of double-sided tape. With it, we glue the box itself when everything is ready.
  3. For the decor of the front part, we cut out two rectangles - pink monophonic with a size of 16.5 x 7.5 cm. And another one from scrapbooking paper with a size of 15.5 x 6.5 cm.

4. We tint the edges of the rectangles with an orange stamp pad. Glue them on top of one another exactly in the center and glue to the base.
  5. Similarly, we decorate all the outer side surfaces of the postcard with scrapbooking paper.
  Please note: it is important to glue the satin ribbons in their place under the rectangles of paper in advance! If you suddenly forget about it, you should not get upset - stick the ribbons on top, then cut out with your own hands two small squares from the same paper 2x2cm. and glue over the ribbons, covering their edges.

6. From a plain pink cardboard with the help of a curly edge hole punch, cut out a lace strip of 17.5 cm long and 2.5-3 cm wide. Glue it to the outside of the template so that after folding it is inside the box.
  7. The next stage of the workshop will be the decor of the inside of the card cover. In the upper part we glue the field where you can write a small congratulation or wish. The bottom half is for a cash gift for which you have to make an envelope. Therefore, we take a square with a side of 10 cm from scrapbooking paper and fold the simplest envelope with our own hands. We decorate it a bit, glue a little double-sided adhesive tape on the back and use it to attach the envelope to its place.

8. The master class is almost completed, the most delicious and the most difficult remains - decorating the front side of the card.
  We used lace and flowers, carved by ourselves from the remains of pink felt and white cardboard, a piece of floral mesh and a fishing line with small beads and flowers.
You can buy ready-made flowers for decoration, but it often happens that there is no material of a suitable tone or texture at hand at the right time. Fortunately, a suitable decor in the form of flowers or leaves can always be made of paper with your own hands or with the help of a figured hole punch.

A master class on making flowers from a regular napkin can be found here at. Small details made of polymer clay - a piece of cake, fruit or just colored half beads will also look great. Scrapbooking has a lot of funds to create a beautiful design from improvised materials: scraps of felt, residues of fabric, ribbons and paper.

The master class is over. Delicate postcard chocolate is ready! Making it with your own hands is quite simple, most of the time it took to think about the details of the decor. The card is ideal for any holiday, you just have to wait for a reason to give it!
