Sisal Christmas wreath. How to make a Christmas wreath: a master class (31 photos). Video: spruce garland wreath

Before the arrival of guests, everyone tidies up the house and hangs decorations. And among all the garlands, candles and gifts, of course, the Christmas wreath occupies a special place - it can be hung on a door or a wall, placed on the center of a dining table.

In stores on the eve of the holidays, you can see a large selection of wreaths of various designs: with ribbons, balls, candles. But to make it really special and unique, and also cost much less, make it yourself. How to make a DIY Christmas wreath? Very simple!

Here you will find step-by-step 5 master classes on making a Christmas wreath... Choose which one you like best: from balls, spruce, pine, from cones or even from a net.

First, let's take a look at how to make a traditional Christmas wreath from spruce, which can then be attached to the front or interior door.

Tools:

  • straw form for a wreath (size optional),
  • balls (the size should correspond to the wreath: with the increase in the base of the wreath, the size of the toys also increases),
  • decorations in the form of twigs with red and gold beads, a red ribbon on a bow, pine cones (large and small),
  • spruce branches (thin so that it is convenient to bend them),
  • several other twigs (for example, pine),
  • scissors, floral wire (preferably green),
  • red and gold decorative flowers (three pieces each).

Lay everything out on the table and get to work.

TIP: You can make this form yourself from dry grass and cling film. Additionally wrapped with tape.

Step by step production

STEP 1: Making a base from branches

  1. First, make a base with pine branches. Lay them out in the same direction, for example counterclock-wise, let the ends of the branches be on the right, and lay the soft tops of the branches to the left. Attach them to a wreath of strawhaving tied around with floral wire, tie down to the base.
  2. Keep adding more and more branches around the shape.
  3. Look, are there any empty spaces, fill in all the gaps with smaller twigs.
  4. So far, he looks a little disheveled and sloppy. Wrap a little more wire around to pull off any large branches that stick out. The wire should be hidden behind the branches... Now we have a uniform lush wreath - the foundation for further work.

Step 2: decorate the wreath

  1. Now add a few other twigs (in the same direction as the pine), spreading them evenly over the wreath.
  2. Attach the red bow... You can do without it, then the view will be more festive.
  3. You can add small pine cones if there were none on the branches themselves.
  4. Color distribution should be symmetrical (so that it doesn't turn out that all the red decorations are in one place, otherwise it will look like a red spot). Divide the wreath into 4 parts, one of them has a bow, and in the other three add a twig with red beads.

In principle, it already looks good and you can leave it that way, you can finish it.

IDEA: Or, first, hang the wreath in this form, and add decorations a week later, so the wreath will definitely not get bored during the holidays

Step 3: add more decorations

  1. For contrast, attach several twigs with gold beads.
  2. We fix the pine cones: wrap the floral wire around the cone closer to its base, attach to the wreath, fixing well in place. Make sure the wire is visible, as less as possible. At this point, you can also stop, or continue to add balls.
  3. Attach three balls, taking into account all the same conditional division of the wreath into four parts
  4. Add three red and three gold decorative flowers.

You did it! The result is a wonderful Christmas wreath, all that remains is to attach it to the door to please yourself and your neighbors!

How to make an Advent wreath

Following the scheme of work just described, you can also create an Advent Wreath.

According to tradition, there are four candles on it: the first was lit 4 weeks before Christmas, every next Sunday they lit one more, so you could see how the holiday was approaching.

Now this type of wreath can be made with traditional considerations and for decorative purposes... In any case, it will help create a festive atmosphere.

So, let's get to work:

  1. Create the base of the wreath from the branches, add small pine cones, as in the previous case.
  2. Fasten with hot glue gun candlesticks (preferably with sharp pins at the bottom to insert into the wreath between the branches, but the usual ones will also come off), insert candles into them.
  3. We decorate the wreath with big cones and decorative flowers (two red and two gold).

ATTENTION! Do not leave such a wreath unattended with candles lit!

Master class number 2: Ball wreath

To make such a wreath, you most likely do not even have to go to the store for materials. After all iron clothes hanger and christmas balls almost everyone has. So take your time to work and go!

You will need:

  • 1 wire hanger, red Christmas balls (the amount depends on the size of the balls you have at home),
  • pliers, wire cutters (optional),
  • ribbon for bow,
  • sprigs of pine or Christmas trees (or a garland),
  • wire or strong thread (preferably green).

Step by step execution:

Step 1:

  • Use pliers to round the hanger. Don't worry if it isn't perfectly flat, the balls will cover all the bumps.
  • Unscrew the hanger, that is, disconnect it at the attachment point under the hook.

Step 2:

  • Place the balls on the wire. If the end is too sharp or uneven, trim it with wire cutters. After stringing all the balls, bend the hook with pliers to secure the circle.
  • There is no need to hang balls from above near the hook, since there will be a ribbon and coniferous branches in this place.

Step 3:

  • Attach branches to the top of the wreath on either side of the hook (tie them with wire or thread).
  • Make a bow from the ribbon and attach it under the hook.
  • Everything is ready! Even the hook is immediately there, it remains only to hang it!

Master class number 3: A wreath of cones

A Christmas wreath made of cones is very simple to design, but its main advantage is that it is stored for a long time and does not crumble, unlike a spruce wreath. It can be sent for storage until next New Year.

Materials:

  • Dry cones from 30 or more pieces, depending on the diameter of the wreath
  • Base for a wreath
  • Glue gun.
  • The decor is at your discretion.

Work order:

Stage 1: Laying the first circle

  1. Using a glue gun, we attach the cones to the inside of the Thor or circle.
  2. Inside is best fix smaller bumps.
  3. The distance between the cones is -1-2 cm. Do not fix them closer. You can even 3-4 cm.

Stage 2:

We do the same, but on the outside of the circle with larger cones. Distance between them - 3-4 cm. They should lie freely - not overlap.

Stage 3:

  • And now fill in the middle row - he kind of should be on top internal and external row. You can fasten the cones not vertically up, but slightly directing them in different directions, filling in the voids.
  • We make the decor with sprigs of berries or live spruce.

TIP: If you add a garland on top, it will be even more Spectacular!

Master class number 4: From pine branches

“Simple and tasteful” is the most appropriate phrase for this manufacturing method. Christmas greens and a minimum of decorations. but nevertheless, when looking at a door with such a wreath, it immediately becomes clear that a really festive atmosphere reigns here!

Materials:

  • thick wire wreath mold,
  • greens (real or artificial pine branches, other conifers will work too),
  • cones, wire (for tying branches),
  • glue gun,
  • little bells,
  • ribbon for a bow.

ATTENTION! When choosing the length of the wire form, keep in mind that after attaching the branches, the wreath will increase in size several times.

Manufacturing steps:

  1. Take some coniferous branches and n attach them to the mold with wire. First fix the ends of the branches, then wrap them around the wire several times, wrap with wire. Thus, wrap the entire base.
  2. Make another ball of branches over the previous one, in the same way. You should get a uniform coniferous wreath.
  3. Attach some bumps.
  4. Add 3-4 bells golden or silver to create a festive mood. Attach with a glue gun.
  5. Make a ribbon bow and attach it to the wreath.

Every time you open the door, you will hear the quiet ringing of bells and understand that the holiday is in the air around!

Master class number 5: Decorative mesh wreath

You will definitely surprise all your neighbors with such a wreath! This colored hemisphere will not leave anyone indifferent, at one glance you will see a smile and a sweet anticipation of the holiday!

Materials:

  • round base for wire wreath,
  • decorative mesh in rolls about 50 cm wide (several colors combined with each other),
  • fluffy decorative wire.

TIP: If you do not have such a base for a wreath, then you can cut it out of thick cardboard with a torus thickness of -10-15 cm. Then the mesh can be fastened with a needle and thread or a glue gun.

Manufacturing steps:

Step 1:

  1. Cut off approx 25-30 cm mesh and roll it up. Squeeze in the center with your fingers. To make it more convenient, you can take someone as an assistant to hold the packages.
  2. You will need a lot of these rolls, they do not have to be exactly the same length.

Step 2:

  1. Group rolls of 4, connecting the centers, and tying them in this place with fluffy wire. Leave the ends of the wire to attach to the base.
  2. Tie each such part to the base of the wreath. (the remaining ends of the wire). They should be tight to each other, leaving no free space.
  3. Continue until the entire space is full.

Done! It turned out very colorful and festive! If desired, you can hang a toy on the wreath so that it is in the center. But look, do not overdo it, so that it does not turn out "too much", because everywhere you need to know when to stop.

Designer wreaths 2019

In 2019, vertical wreaths come into fashion, which are not attached to the wall, but to the ceiling, like a suspension. The principle of assembling the wreath is the same as described above. BUT

  • You can place candles on top of them.
  • Add hanging elements

There is no fantasy. The main thing is to have somewhere to hang it on the ceiling! If your chandelier is not very good, then you can just place it under it.

Home decoration for New Year and Christmas is a pleasant and joyful tradition. And one of the signs of the upcoming holidays is a Christmas wreath. Its history is quite long - I think we will return to this interesting topic later. And today, since there is not much time left before the New Year's celebrations, I propose to talk about the practical side of the issue: how to make a Christmas wreath with your own hands.

Christmas wreath - a traditional element of festive decor

Moreover, it is not at all difficult, and what is at hand can serve as a material. And if it's difficult to dwell on one idea, let's make several different decorations - for the house, for a summer residence, as a gift to friends ...

One of the simplest options: needles and balls, silver and gold - nothing else, but it looks great. To prevent the composition from looking monotonous, it is better to take different balls - matte and shiny, small and larger. They can be purchased immediately as a set, or you can rummage through home supplies and assemble a stylish decoration from scattered Christmas tree decorations.

Here, perhaps, it is worth making a small digression. Because ideas are ideas, but as soon as we make an attempt to implement any of them, the question immediately arises: how can all this be fastened together? A foundation is required, on which then, in accordance with the creative idea, we will collect the wreath. Therefore, I propose to watch the master class, in which it is described and shown in detail, from what and how you can make a blank for future decoration... As many as 3 ways - there are plenty to choose from:

There are other options for bases - made of cardboard, foam, straw. About them - a little further, but for now let's get back to the ideas ...

Color creates mood. Silver, blue - "Cold" colors match the winter mood as well as possible... So why not use them in your Christmas decor? For such a wreath, branches of blue spruce are suitable, or better - artificial needles of suitable shades. You can complement the design by sprinkling the needles with "snow" from a spray can.

The decor in cold tones perfectly matches the winter mood

If there are no suitable coniferous branches, you can replace them with silver tinsel. Or use natural materials, covering them with suitable paint and glitter and adding Christmas decorations - as in the following video:

Do you want something more "warm", sunny? Let's mix paints! Elegant a mix of green and silver twigs, decorated with cones and "golden" toys looks noble and elegant. True, it will be somewhat more difficult to embody this idea, for all its external simplicity. It is important here that the golden decor does not compete with the original texture of the two-tone coniferous base, and the composition as a whole does not turn out to be too colorful and chaotic. The search for harmonious combinations is a task for a true artist.

A subtle mix of green and silver twigs, complemented by warm golden details

In general, a very good idea - combination of different textures and shades of greenery... Take a look at how fresh and interesting the leaves look against the background of the needles, and the golden twigs of thuja among the silvery-green spruce needles enliven the composition. But of course, it would be unfinished without the bright red berry accent.

Bright and elegant Christmas wreath with poinsettia

By the way, you can even build a whole Christmas tree from this plant -!

Christmas the wreath does not have to be coniferous... Using flexible branches of trees and shrubs (most often willows), straw, shoots of evergreens and similar materials, it is easy to create an original decoration for your home or garden. And the "gold" or "silver" paint applied to the woven base and individual decorative elements completely transforms the original material.

Even a completely inexperienced craftswoman can make a beautiful Christmas wreath from natural materials, which you can easily find in the country. And it will take a little time (which is also important in the pre-holiday bustle and hassle, you must agree). You will find an interesting version of such a wreath with detailed instructions for making it in the publication.

Looks unusual a wreath of fir cones... If you wish, you can add berries, an elegant bow or other decorative elements to the composition. Some of the cones can be painted using paints in aerosol cans, or artificial "snow" can be added, but in a natural, natural version, the wreath is quite interesting. True, a lot of cones will be required, but if there is a forest near your summer cottage, there will be no problems with the material for the craft.

If this idea fascinates you, see also: Blotches bright scarlet berries (for example, in our conditions - mountain ash or viburnum, wild rose or hawthorn) revive the restrained composition of "natural" shades. But keep in mind: if you plan to hang such a wreath on the front door of your house or decorate a gate with it, make it an element of garden decor, feathered guests can significantly change your initial idea.

Splashes of scarlet berries enliven the restrained composition of natural shades

But in this bright wreath berries are the main element... Traditionally, they are used for Christmas decor, but this is difficult for us. Juicy viburnum at home will quickly lose its attractiveness, and birds have already pecked rowan in many gardens, so to implement such an idea, you will have to do with imitation of berry bunches, which you can make from red beads of different sizes.

And in this bright wreath, berries are the main element

In the end, you can remove all the "unnecessary" and leave only branches with berries (or their imitation)... Look at how original such a wreath looks - a little "disheveled", asymmetrical, but surprisingly attractive:

An original wreath of twigs with berries - a little disheveled, but attractive

Christmas balls are usually seen as an addition to decor - but you can look at them differently! How do you like the idea a Christmas wreath made from just balls? Matte and shiny, different sizes, different shades of red (and if you want - blue or green, gold or silver) - together they make up an unusual, but very elegant decoration.

If a plain wreath seems boring to you, make it variegated, multi-colored... An idea like this would work fine. Only in this case, choose shatterproof balls so that the baby does not get hurt, even if the festive wreath accidentally falls (parents know: such "accidents" are common when there is a nimble toddler in the house).

How to make a practical and safe option - wreath with sisal balls, shown in detail and described in the following master class:

As a matter of fact, a Christmas wreath can be made from almost anything... Any natural materials, scattered beads and all kinds of jewelry, tinsel and Christmas tree decorations - all this and much more can be easily turned into an unusual decoration, you just have to show your imagination.

If there were no natural materials at hand, but it is frosty outside the window, and all the paths are covered with snow, try to make festive wreaths of Christmas tree tinsel, Christmas balls and satin ribbons... As a basis, cardboard (from a regular box, for example) or foam is suitable. After watching the detailed master class presented in the next video, even a schoolboy can cope with the task.

And here idea for craftswomen-needlewomen: Take scraps of bright fabrics or skeins of yarn, big pretty buttons, elegant braid, ribbons - these are all excellent materials for creativity. How to arrange them, how to make a Christmas decoration - let your imagination tell you. For example, it might look like this:

Handicraft lovers can make Christmas wreaths from yarn, buttons and shreds

Fans minimalism they will surely appreciate this idea - this wreath is simple, laconic, but at the same time it looks elegant and touching. All the "salt" is in the fancy interweaving of twigs, which is effective in itself, without any additions. But again, if you wish, you can develop an idea: for example, "ennoble" the material with the help of paint ...

By the way, if you like minimalism, don't skip the article.

An excellent festive option is a wreath, which is woven into electric garland... It will be especially effective if used in outdoor decor: hang on the front door, wall of a house, gate, decorate a winter gazebo in the garden, and so on.

The wreath in which the electric garland is woven looks great

Reflecting in shiny balls and tinsel, the lights of the garland create an extraordinary, fabulous mood. Just do not forget: you need to place this decoration there, where it is possible to safely connect the garland to the electrical network... And it is better to think in advance about how to hide the cord that goes to the outlet so as not to destroy the New Year's magic with such "household trifles."

Flickering lights of the garland create a New Year mood

And one more thing to consider: not every electric garland is suitable for outdoor use. This is a safety issue, so do not neglect these nuances.

Finally, you can weave cinnamon sticks, anise stars, small tangerines and others into the needles fragrant fruits, spices or even flowers - you will get not only a beautiful, but also a fragrant Christmas decoration. Smells can be easily intensified by using the right essential oils. Just do not overdo it so that some of the guests do not have a headache from the fragrance.

You can make the decoration not only beautiful, but also fragrant.

You are probably already convinced: the number of ideas is infinite, but a beautiful New Year's wreath can be made with your own hands from any available material... Here's another example:.

If the creative process has already captivated you, and you want to make as many different decorations as possible - for your home and as gifts for friends - watch the following video and be inspired by vivid examples:

And if you like the idea as a whole, but confuse the form - interesting you will find an alternative to wreaths in the publications:

How to use a Christmas wreath in holiday decor

Well, now that the Christmas wreath is ready (and maybe not even one!), You need to find a suitable place for it. The traditional option is hang jewelry on or above the front door... You can supplement it with small Christmas trees on both sides of the porch, garlands of coniferous branches or compositions similar in style and design to a wreath

The traditional option is to hang a wreath on or above the front door

If this is too simple and usual for you, place a wreath decorated with colorful lights, on the pediment under the very roof... According to this "identification mark" guests can easily find your hospitable home on New Year's Eve.

You can and on a fence or barn wall hanging an uncomplicated bright decoration is a simple and affordable way for you to create a festive mood for yourself and your neighbors. And feathered guests can be pleased if you use a suitable treat when creating a wreath: cones with seeds, berries, rose hips, and so on.

The wreath in the house will be successful addition to other Christmas decorations - snowflakes, garlands or Christmas stockings hanging in anticipation of gifts from Santa Claus.

By the way, pay attention to how in this case they are inscribed in the interior, made part of the decor ordinary skis... Someone modestly hides them in the attic or in the closet - or, it turns out, you can make them part of the festive decoration of the summer cottage! You look, and on a ski trip during the New Year holidays, you are more likely to think about it.

Even ordinary skis can become part of the New Year's interior of the cottage.

A wreath can serve a beautiful candlestick... Just do not forget about fire safety: candles must be securely fastened so that they do not fall in any case, and the decor elements must be placed away from the fire. And of course, you shouldn't wait for the candles to burn out completely - the risk is too great that the resinous twigs will flare up from the approaching flame

A Christmas wreath can be a beautiful candlestick

By the way, it is with this, they say, that the christmas wreath story, invented by the Lutheran Johann Hinrich Wichern. His wreath was decorated with candles (24 small red candles and 4 large white ones) and helped Vihern's pupils count the days until Christmas: one red candle was lit each day of Advent (pre-Christmas period), adding one white one on Sunday. Over time, only 4 large candles remained from the original version, (in the Catholic tradition - not white, but colored: 1 pink and 3 purple), one for every Sunday of Advent. Well, this beautiful tradition came to us and remained just an element of the festive decoration of the house.

And the wreath can also become an unusual gift and even declaration of love... Why not? New Year and Christmas is a great time for romance and happiness. And if words are not enough to tell you about your feelings, try to express them in a festive decor.

In fairness, it should be added that the idea of \u200b\u200bdecorating a house with a Christmas wreath is not to everyone's taste. Still, this tradition is not ours, but borrowed, and for some it does not evoke the most positive associations. But is this really a problem? After all, there are so many ideas for creativity! Take a look at our New Year review - for sure there is something that you like:.

And the wreath can also become an unusual gift and even declaration of love... Why not? New Year and Christmas is a great time for romance and happiness. And if words are not enough to tell you about your feelings, try to express them in a festive decor.

The tradition of decorating houses and apartments with wreaths came to us from Europe, where it is very common along with hanging boots, in which Santa puts gifts at night, and other Christmas attributes. It is not surprising that we also liked Christmas wreaths, because they are so beautiful and they smell like New Year.

In Europe and America, wreaths are hung on the doors of houses, but since not all of us live in private houses, it is better to place them somewhere in the apartment - hang on the wall in the living room, above the doorway, or put them on the table, placing candles in the center. A Christmas wreath may well replace a traditional Christmas tree, especially if it is made from spruce or pine branches.

Have you ever wondered why the wreath became the symbol of Christmas? In many cultures, the circle is considered a symbol of eternal life. And the green color of evergreen spruce seems to be its embodiment. Initially, the color of jewelry, ribbons and candles was also given great importance: gold and red colors were used, and the candles were purple and pink, which corresponded to the colors of worship during the four-week fast - Advent. We, of course, do not have to adhere to this, even among Catholics these traditions are rarely observed.

Today, New Year's wreaths have become rather a decoration. They are made from a variety of materials. You can buy finished products, but many people like to create something on their own, so why not make a New Year's wreath with your own hands.

Wreath decorations: list of ideas

Below you will see many photos of New Year's wreath ideas with different decorations. And generally speaking, no matter what the wreath itself is made of, it is decorated with:

  • berries (real or artificial) - rowan, rosehip, viburnum, mistletoe;
  • dried slices of citrus fruits - oranges, lemons or whole tangerines;
  • shells of walnuts and other nuts or whole nuts;
  • spruce cones;
  • apples;
  • flowers;
  • ribbons of any colors or threads;
  • christmas balls;
  • bells;
  • all kinds of figures, including angels, snowmen, Santa Claus, houses, birds;
  • cinnamon sticks;
  • tinsel;
  • snowflakes;
  • sweets.

What materials to use for the base

The most important thing in a wreath is its base. Use any material at hand. However, it is best to make a base from branches, then you can not even hide it with decor. She will look beautiful anyway. In general, they are widely used for the basis:

  • ordinary cardboard or corrugated, from boxes;
  • insulation for pipes;
  • wire;
  • polyurethane foam;
  • wires;
  • tightly compressed newspapers, sometimes they are also wrapped with duct tape for the fortress.

We suggest making a base from such junk material as toilet paper tubes and paper towels.

To make the base of the wreath, you need a few rolls of toilet paper or paper towels. Cut them into pieces about 3 to 5 cm wide. Place on the floor to determine the size of the wreath.

Take a thread or wire and collect all the parts on it. The wreath will be stronger with wire.

If everything looks confusing in the process, it's okay.

After the shape is assembled, tie a strong knot.

Take old newspapers cut into strips.

And PVA glue.

Moisten the wreath with glue and wrap the newspapers so that they are soaked. You can also miss the top.

Leave the wreath to dry for a day. It will turn out to be strong enough to withstand light decor. For example, this is an excellent base to wrap with threads or tinsel then, to fix several small spruce branches.

Spruce or pine spruce

Now let's move on to the most interesting thing - making a wreath. A wreath in the best traditions will be made from spruce or pine branches. It will fill the house with a coniferous scent and will look very New Year's. The branches can be attached one at a time - with twine, hot glue, green wire. And they do it in such a way that the lower part of the branch is covered with the fluffy part of the other. You can first tie the branches in small bunches and tie them already in this form to the base.

Watch the master class, here the process of making a wreath from natural spruce branches from beginning to end is presented step by step.

Make a cardboard base.

Draw two circles with a compass or use a plate or a lid from a frying pan or saucepan for this.

Cut with scissors.

Crumple up the sheets of paper and wrap them around a cardboard ring.

If the spruce branches are large, divide them into smaller branches.

Glue the branches to the base with hot glue.

Glue the wreath so that there are no gaps.

Take real bumps.

Buy artificial twigs with berries.

You will also need a bell ...

and red yarn.

Wrap the wreath with yarn.

Place the cones on the glue.

Fix the artificial berries in any order.

Decorate with a bell.

Spray artificial snow onto the branches.

The resulting wreath looks completely New Year's, and also exudes a pleasant pine aroma.

It is not necessary to use natural branches, you can do with artificial ones. You've probably seen fir garlands on sale. It is quite simple to make a wreath from such a garland.

Replace the branches with tinsel

Visually, green tinsel looks like spruce branches. If you wrap a base circle around it, you get a wreath very similar to a spruce one.

Although you can use tinsel not only green, but any other color.

Tinsel wreath options

Hardwood wreath

Another option is to make a wreath of branches. For this purpose, thin birch, willow branches or a vine are suitable. They are twisted into a tight circle and most often wrapped with twine, it matches well in color, and it is almost imperceptible. A wreath of branches can serve as a frame for decorating with needles, rosemary, branches with berries.

Here is a wreath made of grapevine, decorated with rosemary and laurel.

Have all the tools and materials you will need to make the wreath to be on hand.

These are sprigs of rosemary and laurel.

Flower wire, twine wrapped wire, garden cutters, side cutters.

Roll a vine wreath.

Use flower wire instead of hot glue, so you can reuse the wreath next year with a different decor.

Don't over complicate the wreath. Use a few twigs of plants, ornaments with natural motifs and a bright ribbon - this will be enough.

It is better to use a ribbon with a wire inside to keep the bow in shape.

Attach the decor to the wreath.

This wreath is made from birch branches, and no other plants are used for decoration anymore. But this is its beauty.

Take 9-10 thin branches - birch or others, for example, a vine looks good in a wreath.

Twist the branches into a circle, fasten with twine. Choose the thickness of the wreath at your discretion.

Gold and red decorations were chosen for decoration. Yellow and gold, as its shade, are relevant this year.

Wrap the wreath with beads.

Tie up some Christmas tree balls.

Cones as the main decorative element

Do you know how to make a New Year's wreath out of cones? Here - without wisdom. It is enough to glue the base tightly with cones and you will already get a good option. And if you also paint it with paint from a spray can in gold, red, pink or green - whatever you want - and decorate, then it will generally come out great. Look at the embodiment of one of the ideas.

First paint the buds with a white spray varnish. Be sure to spread newspaper or oilcloth underneath. Leave to dry for a while.

For decoration are used: ribbon for a large bow 5 cm wide, and multi-colored ribbons 1 cm wide for small bows. Colors of your choice, artificial berries, bells, Christmas tree decorations without holder.

Let's make some bows for decoration. Fold in two loops and tie them together. Cut off excess.

Hot glue a small piece of tape of a different color in the middle of the bow to make the middle and close the knot.

Decorate the bow with rhinestones.

Make a big bow according to the same instructions.

Draw a ring on the cardboard. A lid from a frying pan, a plate can serve as a stencil. Cut out the workpiece.

Take the twine and hot glue the end to the cardboard ring.

Patiently wrap the ring with twine without gaps. Fix the tip again with hot glue.

Glue the buds so that it looks as natural as possible.

Decorate the wreath with bows, bells, toys.

Cone wreaths look unusual and beautiful, you can verify this by looking at a selection of photos.

Lots of paper ideas

When there is no spruce branches, no branches, no cones at hand, paper is also used. And interesting products are obtained. Some of them are as beautiful as wreaths made from natural materials. You can create from paper with children, it does not prick like a Christmas tree, it is convenient to work with it.

It is easy to make a Christmas wreath from cardboard and crumpled paper.

Cut a circle out of cardboard, an old cardboard box from some kind of equipment will do.

Cut the corrugated paper into pieces of about 10 × 10 cm. How many parts you need depends on the size of the cardboard ring and the “doubleness” of the wreath.

Remember the pieces with your hands and stick to the cardboard ring.

Place the parts close enough to each other so that there are no gaps.

Cut a strip of red crumpled paper, twist it with your fingers, as shown in the photo.

Decorate the wreath.

This option is a great idea for recycling old brown paper. The new one, of course, is also not forbidden to use. Such wreaths are also made from book or magazine pages, scrap paper.

Prepare wrapping paper.

For the base, cut a ring out of thick paper or cardboard.

Cut many pieces of brown paper. Evenness doesn't matter, though you can use a template if you want. It will take about 70 pieces of paper.

Glue the leaves to the ring as shown in the photo. If you are using different paper, remember to alternate patterns. If there are leaves left, you can glue them in places that seem empty. Make a loop of twine or ribbon, wrap it around the wreath and thread the ends through the hole. You can hang a wreath.

Collecting from Christmas tree decorations

A New Year's wreath can be assembled from Christmas balls alone. He doesn't need expensive balls. Take a look at FIX PRICE before the new year, there you will find what you need. With a little bit of money, you will create a beautiful rich wreath. Pick up different toys in harmony with each other in color, decorate with ribbons.

For the manufacture of this beautiful wreath, 6 packs of 12 balls each were used, and a few more red decorations that have been lying around since last year. The wreath will be assembled on a frame made of a hanger. These are sold, for example, in Auchan. In addition, you will need tape, wire, and pliers.

Shape the hanger into a circle as much as possible.

Unscrew the wire with pliers.

Align the tip as much as possible with pliers.

String the balls one at a time.

Move them as close as possible to each other so that the wire does not show through between them.

Continue stringing the decorations, letting them be at different angles.

Soon it will look like this.

If the jewelry does not adhere well to the wire, fix it with hot glue.

Continue stringing balls.

When all the balls are already strung, twist the hanger again with pliers.

Here's a wreath turned out.

Take wire tape.

Wrap it around the hook a couple of times. Secure from the back with tape or hot glue.

Tie some ribbon loops.

Tie the bow with another piece of ribbon. For security, you can drop a drop of hot glue inside.

We make a New Year's attribute from fabric

Wreaths made of fabric look very beautiful. The most diverse manufacturing technologies are used, the same different wreaths are obtained. We presented three options in the form of master classes, but there are actually many more.

For example, small ribbons or strips of fabric are tied tightly to each other on a wire frame.

Strips are cut from the fabric and the edges are sewn together. The resulting "covers" are stuffed with padding polyester.

Cut strips of fabric to any length and width. Keep in mind that as a result of all the manipulations, the width of the finished strip with padding polyester will be about four times less than the original one. Fold the strip of fabric right side in lengthwise and sew on the sewing machine. Make transverse cuts from the side of the seam, slightly not reaching it, so that the fabric does not pull anywhere later.

Turn right out.

Fill tightly enough with padding polyester, holofiber or any other soft filler.

Sew the edges of each soft tape, and then join the three tapes together and hold the edges together.

Weave a pigtail from ribbons.

Tie the edges together and sew on your arms.

Cut and sew a short length of tape as shown to hide the seam.

Now let's make a bow. It will be two-sided, i.e. red on one side and white on the other. Sew the edges obliquely.

We turn it out. There is no need to fill the tape.

And the fabric is laid in folds. It is held due to the tight fit of the layers to each other. The following example shows how to create a burlap wreath.

To make a frame, purchase galvanized knitting wire. Cut pieces of the following sizes: 130, 115, 100 and 85 cm.

Connect them this way by bending the ends with a pair of pliers.

Cut a few more pieces of wire, fold them several times, slip them under the frame, bend to the front side and thus fix the inner and outer ring.

Wrap the loose ends around the inner rings. Align the frame.

This wreath is made from burlap. It needs to be cut into strips.

Fix the end of the strip with hot glue or a piece of wire, or tie it. Move the strip of fabric towards the bridge, the bridge should be on the left hand. Release folds at every gap. Twist the tape, slide it to the jumper and repeat the steps starting in the same direction - from the inside to the outside edge. If the tape runs out, secure it like the starting tip.

Here is such an interesting-looking wreath.

Decorate it with Christmas decorations, lace ornaments, artificial twigs.

Photo of wreaths made of thread and fabric

Almost out of waste

Especially attractive is the idea of \u200b\u200bcreating a New Year's wreath from materials that we throw away in everyday life, because they do not have to be spent on them. Who would have thought that you can create a decent-looking New Year's wreath from plastic bottles. You will not immediately understand what it is made of.

Cut the bottoms off the plastic bottles and paint the color you want. Make cuts exactly where shown in the photo.

Fold the corners on both sides of the cut.

These are the blanks you should get.

Combine the "flowers" from the bottles, turning them over each time. Remember to make a hole in the center of each piece.

String the parts onto the wire.

Decorate the wreath with bows.

Interesting options for wreaths from scrap materials

How to hang a decorative element

It is not enough to make a New Year's wreath, it still needs to be hung if you specifically conceived it for this purpose. It is better to choose a mounting method in advance. It's unpleasant if it turns out that the wreath turned out to be too heavy and double-sided tape, for example, does not hold it. Then you have to drive in a nail, and this is not always possible. In addition to double-sided tape, they use hooks on suction cups, hook them with a wire behind the door peephole, acquire special cover fasteners that are put on the door from above, tied on a ribbon to the handle on the back of the door.

Create New Year's wreaths, focusing on master classes, get inspired by photo ideas and come up with your own options.

Hello everyone! We continue the theme of decorating our home on the eve of the New Year holiday. And today I want to invite you to try to make a homemade accessory - a wreath. This is a very bright product that will attract the attention of every guest and create a truly festive atmosphere.

And it is done so easily and simply, it does not take much time, and at the same time, any available materials and decorative means are used. The most important thing here is to learn how to make a frame, that is, the basis for a New Year's wreath.

You can buy a frame, for example, use a foam form or a hoop, or make it yourself from paper, cardboard, wire or fabric. The following accessories are well suited for decoration: tinsel, rain, fabric, cones, spruce twigs, clippings from newspapers and postcards, ribbons, etc.

Also remember that this element is most often used to decorate doors, so do not forget about the method of fastening products.

It is now fashionable to replace familiar round wreaths with unusual shapes, such as stars and hearts. Therefore, think over the shape for your product in advance. Be sure to keep track of what accessories to choose for decorating such a craft. After all, the decoration should complement your entire interior.

Rather, start reading today's issue and then you will learn in detail about how and from what you can make wreaths for New Year and Christmas.

In addition to doors, wreaths can be weighed on walls and shelves.

Now I will tell you how you can make such an accessory using thick cardboard and tinsel, as well as Christmas balls.

I also want to say about the fact that in such products, the decorative elements must be combined in color so that they do not contradict each other, but, on the contrary, complement.

You will need:

  • tinsel in three shades;
  • thick cardboard;
  • christmas tree decorations and other decorations;
  • scotch;
  • scissors;
  • cord.

Manufacturing process:

1. Cut a bagel of the desired size from thick cardboard. Next, place Christmas decorations and other decorations on it in the order you like.

2. Now secure them with tape.

4. With the fastened tinsel, wrap the entire product in a circle.

5. Then wrap the craft with another color in tinsel in the same way.

6. And for the third time, wrap the wreath with tinsel of a different color. You can use thinner tinsel as a last resort. And do not forget to fasten the ends of the tinsel.

After you learn how to make a cardboard frame, I propose to complicate the work a little and try to make a base from newspaper and fabric.

You will need:

  • newspapers;
  • kitchen napkins;
  • green organza (if necessary);
  • pVA glue or hot glue;
  • tinsel;
  • decoration.

Manufacturing process:

1. Twist a tube from newspaper sheets and make a ring. Wrap it with a few more sheets to make it strong. The ends of the newspaper can be glued together.

2. Now wrap the resulting ring with white paper napkins.

4. Then, on the base, fasten the tip of the tinsel and wrap the whole ring with it in a circle. Reattach the tip.

And now options for finished work using tinsel.

Christmas wreath of fir branches and cones on the door

I really love it when natural materials are used in crafts, especially cones and spruce branches. Firstly, such works always look natural and chic, and secondly, the coniferous smell from such products is present throughout the house.

Therefore, let's now try to make a wreath using cones and twigs. And we will learn how to make the base from a foam base and fabric.

You will need:

  • base form made of papier mache or foam (or cardboard bagel);
  • decorative wide ribbon;
  • decorative twigs with beads;
  • spruce twigs with cones;
  • large artificial flower (poinsettia - "Christmas star");
  • pins, scissors;
  • hot glue gun.

Manufacturing process:

1. Take the base and attach the decorative tape to the back with a pin. Wrap the base tightly.

2. Once you have completely hidden the base, secure the tape with a pin from the inside.

3. Now prepare the elements for decoration.

4. Secure the beaded twigs first.

5. And then the spruce branches with cones.

6. Glue the flower on top of the branches.

Or another way to make a wire base.

You will need:

  • wire;
  • fir branches;
  • strong black rope;
  • christmas toys.

Manufacturing process:

First, make a round wire frame of the required size. Then form lush bunches of fir branches, and at the base, tie them with black thread. Then fasten the prepared bundles to the frame. Next, decorate your creation using toys, bows, ribbons. Tie a loop.

And here is a detailed master class on making a New Year's wreath from a purchased frame.

You will need:

  • a ready-made or home-made frame (you can use a wooden hoop);
  • twine or twine;
  • cones;
  • all kinds of decorations;
  • glue gun, scissors.

Manufacturing process:

1. Take spruce twigs and begin to fix them on the frame away from you on the right side. Fasten the branches with a string, tying in three knots. In this case, do not cut the thread, but wind it through the frame and fasten all other branches in the same way.

2. At the very end, tie the string into a knot and fix it with hot glue. Make a loop.

3. Now lay out the decorations and define their place on the product. Glue the decor. Everything is ready!

And I suggest taking a look at the photo samples.

Master class on making a wreath of balls

And now an interesting way to create accessories from Christmas balls. We will take a foam circle as a basis. You can make a wireframe from the options already discussed.

You will need:

  • foam base;
  • christmas balls;
  • beads;
  • tape;
  • paint in a spray can;
  • glue gun.

Manufacturing process:

1. Take a Styrofoam base and paint over with gray paint. Dry the product.

2. Now glue small balls in size inside.

3. But outside, on the contrary, it is larger.

Balls can be used different not only in size and color, but also of different textures (matte, glossy, shiny).

Another creative idea. Maybe you will use it.

You will need:

  • wire;
  • wide tape;
  • factory Christmas balls;
  • glue gun.

Manufacturing process:

Make a round frame out of metal wire. Then string Christmas balls on the wire, while glue them initially to the metal loops. Decorate the finished craft with a ribbon.

I don’t throw off the samples of ready-made decorations this time, since they are all identical.

Making a wreath for the New Year out of paper

And we have another way to create products from plain paper ahead. Such creativity will be interesting for kids too, so be sure to involve them in the process.

By the way, we will make a bagel from newspaper tubes.

You will need:

  • newspapers;
  • pVA glue;
  • scissors;
  • brushes;
  • acrylic paint (white);
  • scrapbooking paper, colored or wrapping paper;
  • pictures on thick sheets (from old postcards, packages, boxes);
  • various other decorations.

Manufacturing process:

1. Roll newspaper sheets into thin tubes. Glue the ends of the newspaper with PVA glue. The number of newspaper tubes will depend on the thickness of your product.

2. Now take any round object and wrap it in tubes in several layers. Grease all the tubes with glue. When you have laid out all the tubes, grease the entire structure with PVA glue and let it dry well.

3. After drying, remove the blank from the round object and paint the base with white paint.

5. Place them on the product and then glue them.

6. Additionally, the craft can be decorated with sparkles or beads.

Now I will tell and show you how to make just such a beauty out of cardboard.

You will need:

  • colored paper, colored cardboard or patterned paper;
  • cardboard (for the base);
  • stapler;
  • scissors.

Manufacturing process:

1. Take white cardboard. Circle a round object on it. Cut out the circle.

2. Then draw a round object inside, but with a smaller diameter.

3. Cut out the middle.

4. Cut out petal-shaped parts from colored cardboard.

5. Roll each petal at the base.

6. Start gluing the petals to the cardboard base.

7. Glue the pieces close together to form a twig.

8. In this way, glue the entire base.

9. Finally, glue the loop-ribbon.

As you can see, everything is very easy and simple. Throw in more ideas? Then catch it!

You can take a regular paper plate as a basis for crafts. Cut out the inner circle and decorate.

How to sew a New Year's wreath from felt + patterns

In addition to the usual and familiar options, you can and should also use felt and fabric. In this case, you can also sew a donut base from fabric and fill it with padding polyester. Or use frames made of twigs, paper and other materials, but still sew the decorations themselves.

I liked the following option. I share with you.

You will need:

  • foam base;
  • fluffy green threads;
  • ordinary sewing thread;
  • glue gun;
  • felt of different colors;
  • scissors;
  • patterned fabric of different colors;
  • fabric chalk;
  • cardboard stencils of figures: heart, snowman, herringbone, bell, etc.;
  • synthetic winterizer;
  • elements for decoration: ribbons, buttons.

Manufacturing process:

1. Take the base, fix the fluffy thread and gently, without glimpses, wrap the workpiece around the whole circle with it.

2. Secure the end of the thread with glue and protrude the villi up.

3. Circle a larger heart on the stencil on felt, cut it out (2 pcs.).

4. Circle a smaller heart on the fabric, also cut it out (1 pc.).

5. Now attach the small fabric heart to the large felt heart and sew it neatly.

6. Connect the pieces of the big heart, start sewing together. Then fill in with padding polyester and sew the blanks to the end.

8. Glue all sewn figures to the fluffy base.

9. Also tie bows from satin ribbons and decorate the craft with them.

Or choose from the following works.

And of course, schemes, templates and patterns for needlework.

DIY Christmas wreath from a hanger. Step-by-step instruction

You will need:

  • thick wire hanger;
  • sweets (lollipops or jelly);
  • braid;
  • scissors;
  • double-sided tape.

Manufacturing process:

Unbend the hanger and form a circle out of it. You have a solid frame, and the "eyelet" is a mount for the hanging product. Scotch, fasten the braid to the frame and tie the candies with it in turn. The sweets should completely cover all the wire. Decorate the finished product with a ribbon.

You can also attach small scissors to the wreath so that everyone can cut off the candy and eat it.

And here is the beauty of the balls. You can also use tinsel and sewn figurines.

Video selection on what wreaths can be made at home from scrap materials

And in the end, try to make just such a sweet craft. I think such a decoration is perfect for decorating a children's room.

  • pencil;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • acrylic paint;
  • bandage;
  • double sided tape;
  • foam rubber;
  • candies in shiny wrappers.

Manufacturing process:

1. Take a piece of cardboard and trace a round object with a larger diameter on it. Cut it out.

2. Then draw a small circle inside the large one. You can also use a compass. Cut out the middle.

3. Make the exact same base (repeat steps 1 and 2). Glue the two pieces together.

5. Then cut the foam rubber into pieces and glue the finished frame with them.

6. Now wrap the base tightly with a bandage.

8. And then glue the whole frame with sweets.

9. Finally, fill in the empty spaces with tinsel or beads. Fix them with glue.

And, as promised, a selection of interesting and most creative ideas for your creativity.

Now you know how and from what you can make New Year's wreaths from scrap materials. Difficulties in such work will definitely not arise, and the process will be a pleasure, the result will please the eye. Use the checklist below and you will succeed!

  1. Create or buy a frame of the desired shape and diameter;
  2. Fix the main material on the frame, on which the decorations will be attached in the future;
  3. Make eyelets to secure the wreath;
  4. Decorate the product using any available means.

I wish you all the best. Holiday greetings!
